Hi,
We are flying with Malaysian airlines to Sri Lanka on the 27th April and we have our 2 kids with us, so we are allowed to take 60kgs baggage with us, so does this mean we can use 3 suitcases to equal 60kgs? and also we want to take our pram, so would this be included in the 60 kgs or not, and if not do we have to pay to take it?
What are the kids meals like?
I am picking up our tickets today and was also going to ask my travel agent this.

TIA

I'm sure your TA will be able to answer these q's, as its their job :) Otherwise u can look on the Malaysian Airways website for details of their charges.

I flew malaysian with my then 8 month old dd to uk last year.
As far as i can remember i was only allowed 20kgs for myself as dd wasnt allocated a seat but had a bassinet.
If your childern are allocated seats then they would have 20kgs allowance each and yes the 60kgs would have to be spread over 3 suitcases.

I actually took 2 prams for DD as i wrongly assumed that i was allowed to take one as check in and one to use around the airport and to take to the plane. Anyway i played dumb at the desk and said that i was told i was allowed to take 2 prams and so was let off.
The weight of your pram will not go towards your allocated baggage allowance.

As for the food for the little ones on board, my dd was only 8 months at the time so was only given canned/jared baby food.

Hope you have a good trip!

i spoke to my travel agent and we are allowed to take 100kgs instead of 60. We bought a special fare so it is 30kgs for the adults and child and 10 for the baby! We can take the pram with us on the plane and dont have to pay any extra. We can use the 3 suitcases too. so im pretty happy with that and we get a free hotel room with food included and transport to and from the airport in kuala lumpur. my travel agent has booked a bassinet for my dd too.
thanks for ther replies!
