Why do you prefer one style over another ie flats, fitteds, pockets or all-in-ones?:)

:yes: Everyone has a preference of some kind.

I personally choose based on brands. One AIO is not the same as another brands AIO.
One brands covers are not the same as another's.. You get my point.

I choose what I like best based on what works best, including fit and absorbency. What I put on my DD is different from what I put on DS2.

Flats i used when bub was littler before i knew of MCN's and i still use them now at home as they look nice, fit nice and dry quick.

The AIO's i have are fancy kinda ones for when we go out, they all came with a booster so last well when out and i have different kinds to match her clothes!

Pockets are good for fast drying aswell, use them round home and for night as i can stuff them right up and they last the night.

I think the new minky magicalls are classed as AI2's as they are an AIO with a pocket you can boost if needed, they are very good, last the night i find aswell.

Depends on the child too i guess. Some that work well for me dont work for others.

I think if you are going to have AIO's only, you would possibly need more as they seem to take a full day in the sun to dry properly. Pockets dry quick although the inserts take some time, but i have extra inserts incase we have bad weather or what not. Flats dry quick, but wet through fast!

i like pockets
they fit good and i can add more padding to make thicker or thinner depending on weather its day or night, and they dry fast.

:iagree: DD is a terror to change so being able to slap a nappy on and be done is so much easier!

I do use Magic-alls and Bitti D'Lish snap-in ones, which require some assembly :p but I concider that part of the washing and drying job. They are pretty quick to throw together so they are stacked and ready to be put on DD.

I use fitted and covers at night because they are more absorbent and last the night. They are far too bulky and fiddley for day use with us though. Fighting a nappy on DD is hard enough without having to chase her down to get the cover on too! :laughing:

I prefer pockets because they dry quickly and if I stuff them as I get them off the clothesline, nappy changes are just as quick as using a disposable.

I use fitteds and covers at night because they last but if I could find a pocket that would last the night, I'd use them instead. My husband sometimes has issues with the fitteds, extra boost and covers :o

I think I'll prefer pockets this winter... but Ds has been in minky magicalls (so AI2's?) over summer, was in terry flats and disposies :barf: last year. Definately hoping for some good pockets for drying times!

the magicalls are AIO pockets (they are AIO but can be considered a pocket if you add the insert)

i have a thing for brands as well....like i love my BG AIO as they are absorbant but trim and AIO....but my magicalls which are also AIO pocket take ages to dry but i use in a large rotation so i have others to use while they are still on the line.

my favorite now are AI2 (ie. itti dlish snap in) where you take apart the whole nappy so you have a shell, insert and boosters that come apart and then snap back into place, makes for very quick drying :) I don't like the tri fold boosters much. i prefer the layered type like the abby gro one.

I like pockets as i can stuff the all after washing and then when i use them its very quick and easy as they go on like a disposable and so simple even the hubby can put them on, also reliable with the right inserts.

i do like 2 prters for reliability but struggle with wraps.

Personally I like fitteds because I have wee leak issues a lot!

But I also like AIOs and pockets because I dont' have to use covers! But not all AIOs and pockets... I am a big fan of my Babybeehind AIOs and ittibittis, and the only pocket I LOVE is my blueberries.

AIO/AI2's
i have 2 fitteds and will only use them if i absolutely have to, i have a couple of pockets that i don't touch and my flats are used as cleaning rags :laughing:.

AIO/AI2s just work well for DD2 and me

Haha me too! That and nappy free time mop up rags and DP uses them as sweat towels when he is drumming! :laughing: I think I'd be lost without my 4 dozen terry flats, niot as nappies but for everything else! :p
