For EG im going to cook a Shepherds pie today then heat it for dinner. But what if i have left overs? Can i re heat or is that bad?

Should i just make it, put it in the fridge then cook it tonight? Would the potato be ok?

I always only ever cook once, reheat once....i think i learnt that in a food handeling course i did years ago when i worked at Sizzler, although i could have made it up....
But i would only reheat once.

yep - only re-heat it once.

BUT

yes you can make it this morning, put it in the fridge and cook it tonight before dinner. Put leftovers straight into fridge (never leave on the bench) and re-heat them later.

If reheating only once is a pain you can always cook the pie first, then reheat piece by piece as needed. That way if the whole pie isn't eatenyou don't have to trow away the rest.

Thank you all !! I will make it and will cook it before dinner its just as easy!

Oh wait i cant pre make it, you have to cook the mince and onion first then put it in the oven. Oh well i will just have to make it before dinner in the rush hour...
