Whatever you can keep down, keeping within the guidelines of healthy eating during pregnancy (ie listeria guidelines, for example :))

People often find that dry crackers help, and that eating frequent, small meals help also.

Anything high in Vit B6, you could also take a Vit B6 supplement ( also known as pyridoxine)which helps immensely with Morning Sickness.

Vegemite on toast is good (if you can stomach it) or some dry biscuits with a thin scrape of Vegemite.

Good sources of B Vitamins include whole grains, yeast, meat, low-fat dairy products, lentils and leafy greens.

A bowl of cooked brown rice is high in B6 or whole grain cereal.

Also ginger is good, maybe a cup of ginger tea and a ginger nut bikkie.

I had ginger nuts by my bedside and ate one before getting out of bed, dunno if it really works or its Psychological but it did seem to help.

Only thing that helped mine was Redskin lollies (the long ones) and red creaming soda. Both very unhealthy...but helped:o

hi,

ive had really bad nausea but no throwing up. I started having ginger beer this morning, bundaberg, and that has helped heaps. If i start feeling queaz i just have a small glass and sip on it. It lasts for about an hour or so then i need some more.

Also i was doing research yesterday on m/s remedies also salt and vinigar chips may help and sugar free peppermints to suck on.

Also i changed my routine when i get up in the mornings i now have a shower then go have a slice of toast with thin scrap of peanut butter and small about of ginger beer and then get ready for work usually i would do everything then eat breakky running out the door!!

All i could keep down was vegimite what anything, cottage cheese biscuites, corn thins & toast.
Lomoade helped at first than when it stopped working it was Coke & a little orange juice in a massive glass of water.

I was also on Maxalon that i took every 8 hours like clock work.

Ginger tablets were good for a bit but gave really bad intergestion.

Try not to eat as soon as you get up, have a shower first & a glass of water.

Its just trial & error to see what works for you. Everyone is different.

:iagree: Whatever you can keep down. It will be different for everybody.

With DS, I had it AWFULLY. I couldn't eat most things and literally lived off Yoplus, bananas and ice cold apple juice for the first few months.
Not all together, mind you. :o

Its not the healthiest way of doing it, but if you really can't keep anything else down, just work within what you can.

I lived on mango and ice-cream for a few weeks. Any food is better than no food......depending on how strick you are.

Whatever you can keep down! That's what I have to do my entire pregnancy. It's horrible, and I hope it only lasts a short while for you.

Yep I agree. Eat whatever you can keep down. For the first 16 weeks all I could stomach of a morning was Salt and Vinegar chips and a frozen coke. It was the only thing that would stay down.

I'm 12 weeks today and still suffering from horrible all day sickness!

I'm living off:
Chocolate Yogo- although unhealthy- it is smooth going down (and coming up! :p) and provides a base for my stomach in the mornings and afternoons.
Chips- Kettle or Red Rock seem to stay down for in between meal snacking.
Chicos- I eat these while driving or while shopping to keep my sugar levels up which normally keeps things settled.
Ginger nut cookies- These helped heaps especially early on!
Rice Cakes- Sour cream and chives flavoured. I think the mild flavour helps keep them down- I can't stomach plain biscuits or toast.

For dinner- I try and eat some kind of meat and then water based veges. Zucchini in particular seems to go well- even when the meat comes back! (Sorry- TMI!)

I try and eat bananas whenever I can- as they have b6- but they can be 50/50!

Banana bread worked a treat for me..I used to glad wrap some and throw it in my handbag to eat when I got a wave of nauseas at the shop...

but like most people have said its really trial and error - you quickly learn what makes you sick and what you can tollerate...
