cows protein and soy intolerance!!

Ladies, I've been told that my bubs is intolerant to the protein in cows milk and most likely soy. So bubs is on pepti jnr now. I want to know what formulas are other bubs on who have the same intolerances? Anyone?

My son was on Elecare from about 11mths of age till he was almost 16 mths.

It was great!

I hope you get as much info as you can from the allergy speacialist and perhaps go see a natropath too, as I found one that really helped my son with his allergies:thumbsup:

Declan is highly allergic to both as well and is on Alfare prescription formula.

We are a little unsure what to do once he hits solids stage but will cross that bridge in another month or so.

My daughter is almost 2 and has a cows milk proein allergy. They diagnosed her with it when she was 5months old. They put her on soy formula which didn't do anything but cause eczma all over her, so then she went onto pepti jnr. i thort it was great and cheap! She's not allergic to the soy anymore but still can't have dairy. When amelia started solids it was very hard. i definately became an expert in reading labels that's for sure. Most of her meals were tomato and bean based as she wasn't ready for meat straight away. She couldn't have bread products either thanks to the soy flour in it. She's always been really under weight aswell.

ok well solids are started (under paed advice) so here goes a lovely rip .... LOL

Milliesmum, I have the opposite problem in that my son is a BIG boy .... in the nicest way possible .... will have to see how he fares now on solids though. my other 2 have always been underweight, but i put that down to the soy they wer drnking as they were only diagnised with dairy allergy. hmmm I will ave to keep an eye on that!!

Kade is exactly the same sweetie, and has been heaps better since starting on Pepti Jnr. How is it going for you? How did you find out? You must be relieved to finally have an answer!!
