Well I thought we could share our tips and things we do to make our lives that bit easier! Here's how I organise myself.

Most nights I do the following
Pack nappy bag
Check change table refil nappy wipe box, wipe down
Put washing into machine but don't turn it on
Fill dishwasher if full, put it on if not wait until morning
Put out ironing to be done
Do a tidy up
Every 3rd day I empty the nappy genieThen when I get up in the morning everything is there ready clean to go,
With the washing I wait until the morning as sometimes she gets a leaky nappy or the spew cloth's go in from the night.

In the car I keep spew cloths and wipes under her car seat easy to access :D

As for the rest of the housework I fit it in around when shes napping!

I also cook in bulk and freeze it so it's great for those days you don't feel like cooking!

I thought I had more but my brain just frazzled out

Right from day one, I have always had Liv in the kitchen with me while I prepare dinner. Most nights now I can get dinner ready with no grizzles, as this is usually a really bad time for babies, I find Liv is great on most occasions.

Pack a plastic bag in with your nappies, saves you hunting around for one in your bag when you are out.

I'm sure there are more, will have to have a think about it.

can you share your drugs please???;) oops sorry, that's not much of a tip is it?

Sleep when you feel like it:yes: , your sanity and ability to be happy with your child is more important for your child than a basket of freshly ironed sheets

Yes to re-packing the nappy bag when you get back from a trip

I play with my baby and try to go out and do fun stuff with him and his little friends and squeeze in houseworkthings when i have the inclination, ie once a week or so when it is all annoying so me so much that i just muck in and DO IT!
i don't live in a tip tho'...

My number one tip is enjoy your child and all the amazing things that they are doing in their life! Even if it's looking at you with fuzzy little newborn eyes and trying to work out why their bottom area feels funny & who that new voice belongs to and all those concerns in a new baby's life. Isn't that why we had them in the first place?

Congratulations for having a baby, Mouse, and for organising things to make your life easier so early on your piglet is very beautiful

I totally agree on the packing the nappy bag the night before. I also keep a spare baby panadol in his bag/teething gel and a teething rusk just in case I forget to pack them!!:)

Every night I fill his bottles with boiling water for the next day and refill his travel formula containers so they are all leveled and ready to pour in when he is crying for his bottle!:)
