Does anyone have one of these? Or know where to get one? I have seen them advertised on American Sites and will order one from OS if I have to, but would like to buy one from Australia either online or I live in Adelaide if anyone knows of a store/chemist that sells them here?

To save posts asking what exactly it is...;)

It is basically a dummy that has either a chamber or a syringe attatched in which you can place medication and bubs/toddler just sucks away on the dummy and unknowingly get's their medication!

I know of three brands...Munchkin, Bay Bee Cino and Kidz Med. I am most interested in the Kidz Med one as it is the only one I have seen with an orthodontic teat/dummy, which DD likes.

Thanks... :)

I've recently seen them in Big W but not sure of the brand. Can't remember shape of the teat either. Sorry:)

Also in IGA stores and the chemist...around about $5...saw them yesterday. Normal cherry type teat, not orthodontic

I bought an orthodontic one from Toys r Us and I found a Tommee Tippee one in a supermarket, IGA I think. They definitely make them over here, hope this saves you an OS order.

yes definitely - I bought one from Big W recently, Tommee Tippee brand I think.... it's great. We use it to give DS3 gripe water a couple of times a day... compared to using a syringe it's a dream!

Not too sure if it's of any help, but I remember one of the mum's in my mums group had a sickly bub who needed medication often, and as directed by the hospital they suggested giving his medication using a teat off a bottle. You just place the medication into the teat and then when they (obviously) suck on the teat they also take the medication. Might be a handy hint if you already have a teat 'coz it will save you having to go out and buy a pacifier specifically for dispensing medication. Anyway, just a thought... :)

Thanx for the tip Samilee, but DD is a severe refluxer and won't even take formula out of the bottle let alone meds, but she does love her Dummy, so that's why I'm trying to find the med dispenser one! I appreciate your help anyway :)

Oh, OK... I thought the teat might have worked the same as a dummy? :detective:

The mum from my mums group exclusively BF her wee lil' bub but he still managed to take the medication from the teat (I remember 'coz she initially didn't have any teats so another of the mums in our group gave her a teat).

Just shows how they can all be so different. I hope your pacifier works :fingerscrossed:. Thankfully the very few times I have given my DS medication he took it straight from the syringe, probably thought it was food LOL! (My DS loves his food!! :D!).
