Hi All,

I am looking for physical activities for my 9 1/2 month old daughter Tayla on Brisbane's Northside. I did a preview class with Gymboree which was good, but as the closest site is Indooroopilly, the travel before and after class makes it a really long morning for her.

Does anyone know of anything similar on the Northside that we might be able to try. We have playgroup, however it really is only a baby playgroup and Tayla is the oldest so the others aren't crawling yet to be able to set up many activities.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Carol

Hi Carol,

Have you tried your local YMCA or Police youth club??? I have been taking my little girl to Tumble Tots (which is very similar to Gymboree and about a third of the price) at the YMCA since she was 10months. They run classes over here on the southside of Brisbane, so am not sure about the Northside, but I'm sure if you rang them they'd be able to give you all the info.

Hi there,
I think there is a gymboree (maybe kindyroo, its the same thing but for the younger kids) at Windsor or Wilston, they were at the kids expo last year at the convention centre. The YMCA at Mitchelton does tumble tots? (I think that's the name of it) but don't know what age they can start, there is also a kindy climbers at the Hills District PCYC but they can't start there until around 18 months. Good luck finding something, I went through the same thing with my dd who was quite mobile quite young.

Thank you so much for the information/advice. I will definately try the local clubs. To be honest I hadn't even thought of that.

She is definately mobile and looking to walk fairly soon I think. She is like the energiser bunny...never runs out!!

Cheers
