*deep breathe*
OK so I tested yesterday as I was a couple of days late, and was impatient and thought, oh it'll just be negative anyway so after 30 seconds left the test and walked off..
When I went to the bathroom again(an hour later) I noticed it had infact 2 lines, but the test line was faint and a different colour to the control line - a faint orangey pink instead of the dark pink in the control.
Is this an evaporation line as I left the test so long?
I ran out of tests so can't test for a bit longer, and am on CD 31 although my cycle has been 28 days for the past 3 or 4 cycles.
We weren't actively trying this month as we went on holidays so I wasn't able to obsess on FF and track ovulation so have no idea how many DPO it is..
I don't want to get my hopes up..bit scared because of past ectopic and have a bit of a nervous knot in my stomach I haven't been able to get rid of..
So uh yeah, the question.. does this sound like a false positive?

Are you able to post a link to a pic?
I would leave it and do another one tomorrow morning and stay and watch it!
Good luck....hope you get the result you want!:D
I would personally disregard it - you can't be sure that it didn't come up after the 10 minutes or so in which you are supposed to read it so it could definitely be an evap line. Do another one tomorrow and best of luck!

Good luck tomorrow (I hope you can get some sleep tonight). I hope you get your :bfp:in the morning.:babydust2:
Test again tomorrow, or in a day or two.
I had a faint line, in the pregnant window.
My second son, is the result.
SO it is possible it is real, but test again, to be sure.
Especially if you are trying, and don't want to be disappointed.
Good luck, I hope it is the real thing for you.

The test line should be the same colour as the control line. Given it was outside the time period, I'd disregard it. Sorry :hugs: probably not what you want to hear :(

well.. I couldn't wait to buy tests later.
So I made DF ride up to the late chemist on enmore rd (lifesaver that place..well at least a sanity saver for right now.. I just need to know...)
I got discover which is a different brand to last time but it says you can test anytime of day.

Can you share a pic of the test you took? I would say retest, if you dont use FMU try not too pee for a while beforehand so you have more concentrated wee.
Good luck!

They all say you can test any time of the day :) but the more concentrated your urine is, the more concentrated the HCG is, so easier for the test to detect - which is why it's advisable to take a HPT first thing in the morning, with your first morning urine.
Good luck!

Well I waited until this morning so I could use the 'strong wee' heh..
Well it's not a big fat positive.. I think it's a little fat positive!
A very faint pinky line but not anywhere near as dark as the control line.. but I'm sure I'm not imagining it..
I had some spotting last night though and thought my period was on the way after all.. so I'm feeling a bit nervous but I caught myself looking at babystuff online instead of reading boringly written academic stuff for my assignment.. I have no idea how I will concentrate on stupid referencing at the moment.
So I've made an appointment to see the doctor tomorrow to get a blood test :fingerscrossed: but still holding off from being too excited as the LMP was the 6th which would make me 4.3 weeks and I thought I would get a stronger positive by now..

I say a line is a line darl, it might be faint but that would be because your in early pregancy. Also some HPT`s are diffrent and have diffrent amounts of dye in them. Best of luck at the doc`s. Let us know how you go :fingerscrossed::goodvibes::fingerscrossed:

Yep a line is a line.
Congratulations. :yelclap::yelclap:
Sometimes the hcg levels are not very strong. BUT definately see your doctor and have it confirmed, with a blood test.

A line is a line is a line :)
Congratulations!
Some people don't actually get positives until well past their 5th or 6th week - I was one of them with my last pregnancy. I was a week 'overdue' before I got my BFP.

Helloo!
When I did a pregnancy test in December 08, the line WAS SO FAINT that I had to stand outside in the sunlight to see it! I said to DH "Can you see anything there?" and he looked at me with an "OMG YES!" look on his face. I didn't know whether or not to take it as a definite positive because we could literally hardly see it, but it was a positive! After testing again and getting a more solid + we decided it was really happening and we are now expecting our DD2 in July!
My doctor has also told me, "There are such things as a false negative, but there is no such thing as a false positive!"
CONGRATULATIONS!:yelclap::yelclap::yelclap:ALL THE BEST!!
