Hi everyone, I am currently 32 and a half weeks pregnant with my first, the last few days I have been getting shooting pains 'down there', I've had no bleeding or anything though. Have any of you had this pain? if so, does it mean he will come early? Should I see my doctor?
Thanks for any advice you can give

Not 100% sure if it's the same as me, but from 28 weeks last year i had the same thing. Not all the time though, just every so often - sometimes when i got up off a chair or was just walking around. The pain was enough for me to stop and think holy cow what the hell was that, not to mention grimace or at times cry out.

I raised it with my OB and he advised that as long as I didn't have any bleeding or leaking fluid all was ok. Might be an idea to ask yoursefl for peace of mind.

Oh and for the record the girls came at 37+3 via c/sec and showed no signs of coming by themselves before that!

HTH

I just went to the hospital with similiar sort of pain which they attributed to the baby moving and bouncing about in there.

Does it happen more when you are getting up or moving about? Or when you have Braxton Hicks perhaps?

I was told its normal, it's just really uncomfortable. HTH.

Hi,

Its sounds like what I had towards the end of my first and second pregnancies. Particularly happened when I was walking around and standing up. Feels like its inside your chacha.

Yep sounds normal! I've experienced it with all my children and they came between 38 and 41 weeks :)

Hi
what's happening is that the baby moves around. As the baby gets biggger, there's less room for it to move and it'll start pushing on the structures surrounding the uterus. They're not normally pushed on, because you don't normally have another person kicking you from the inside. Hence, it's a totally new feeling. Some of the structures are nerves, and some of these supply the "chacha" as someone so delicately put it. :thumbsup: Others supply the bum, so you can get shooting pains there too.
It's nothing to worry about, but can go away if you lean over something, like a table, and shake your booty a bit! I know, it's not pretty, but it can help. If you're shopping, you can lean over the trolley, back it up against a wall and shake your groove thing there.
Doing so can make the baby move again, and take the pressure off your nerves.
Anyway, I'm a physio so :ecomcity::ecomcity::ecomcity:
If you're worried about yourself or the baby, go see your GP. It's always better to go, even if you just get told it's nothing to worry about.

Ive had it with my past 4 pregnancy's as well as this pregnancy, I thought my baby's were just being little smartypants and sticking a hand out to wave hello..... well that's what it feels like lol. Not comfy but sounds pretty normal.
