I bought two bulk packs prior to the birth of our son (26 in total) - half snap in, half sewn in... the sewn in ones fit Chace great even though he's only 5.5 kg he fits nicely into the Mediums... however, the snap in ones seem to leave a larger gape around the legs as the snap in pad is so much bulkier. My question is, will that get better as he gets older? I dont know whether to try and offload the snap ins or wait to see... do you find that the snap ins are better in older babies or something? your help would be appreciated... I've also bought 8 snap in sets as well... so if I can use the snap ins (without being grumpy about it ) I'd like to :p....

He's yet to out-wee an itti bitti, though sometimes poop does come out the legs... small price to pay for not using sposies though i think...

TIA

Sometimes its trial & error to find what fits & what works ...

I actually dont really like our Itti's :o

That being said I do prefer the sew-ins as they seem to hold more which is weird being that the snap-ins you would think would have more 'play' to allow for that but nope no matter what I do they leak !

I would say though that as they fit better they will sit better but then they may not because its hard as it all depends on the childs shape iykwim !

Maybe you could venture into the cloth swap section & see if anyone wants to swap some sew-ins for the snap-ins ???? Otherwise give them a little longer to see how you go !

i dotn really like our ittis either  the quality is getting worse and worse. i prefer the sewn in to the snap ins too. im not sure about the gapping, but they will always be bigger i guess, considdering the booster, so snap ins might be better when he's between sizes???

I think the sewn-ins do fit from a slightly smaller size. DS has one more snap showing on the sewn-ins than the snap ins when done up (he is in large now). They didn't have sewn-ins when he was younger, but there was a bit of leg gape on the snap-ins to start with (he didn't have chubba bubba thighs!) so it was probably that i moved him into them before he was ready to fit them. Once he put on a bit more weight - i had no more leg gape!

As Ally said - different nappies suit different bubs. I bought a GK trial pack, and am NOT a fan at all, despite others raving about them, but i do love my itti's.

lexi - have you sent them an email letting them know what you think about the quality? Feedback to the manufacturer is always good.

I love my itti's :) but have exactly the same problem. DS is 8Kg and his medium snap in gaps at the legs but the medium and large sewn ins fit him perfectly.
I like the sewn in ones better anyway.

Oddly enough I find the sanp-ins gape less than the sewn-in on DD! :p As everyone already said each baby fits nappies differently.

I do find with the snap-ins that I have to carefully position the pads though or I do get some gapeing. I push the trifold into the nappy and pull the elastic up the sides a bit before putting the nappy on DD (if that makes sense) and it seems to fit better.

i still get gaping on the snap ins....once on solids and everything is uh solidified i don't mind as it all sorta stays in there then :)

but when i used them and there was a poosplosion omg it went everywhere

the sewn ins have been a better fit for us
