Now let me state i am not complaining here, just curious...

Recently we have started to remove ethans nite time bottles, when he
wakes he only gets his dummy back.

He went to bed at 7.15 last nite, and woke at 11pm, i gave him his
dummy and he went back to sleep!

Now at 6am the alarm went off for clint and it woke ethan aswell... so
i went in and changed his nappy and left him in his cot because he
doesnt get up before 7am even if he is awake... however at 6.30 he
went back to sleep and slept til 9!!!!

Is it normal for kids to sleep 14hrs at nite... ethan is 9.5mths now.

:D

Count yourself one of the lucky ones!!

Eloise goes to bed at around 7.00pm - 7.30pm and doesn't wake until about 8.30am - 9.00am. Sometimes she'll wake around 7.00am but I just leave her be and she goes back to sleep until a more 'civilised' hour :p . I love it!! She has a minimum 2 hour nap during the day as well.

Hi mumofethan

I think it is normal for children to sleep long hours. My dd is 8 months old and she has been sleeping 12 - 14 hours through the night for about 3 months now. She has 2 or 3 30 minute sleeps throughout the whole day and sleeps perfectly at night time. Maybe you are a lucky one like me and a have a good sleeper. :D

I think all babies are different and in my expereince 'normal' is babies who dont sleep for long stretches until they mature. Although I do have a good friend whos baby sleeps some 14hours at night and too much probably in the day. They (professionals) have said its ok because he isnt lathargic and is developing well. I would suggest just going with the flow. Hope this helps, Amanda

My 9 month old sleeps from 7pm - till anywhere between 8 and 9am and has done since he was about 2 months old.(no night bottle) Don't fight it - enjoy it.
