Hello lovelies,
Looks like you're all keeping well. All's well here, just tired and busy.
Brittany was disappointed at the 20wk scan to find she was actually around the 18wk mark instead. Her new due date is now the 3rd of September. Gives us those few extra weeks to be ready I guess. She turns 22 on Good Friday..just sorry I won't be up there for that.

Dane is well. Got two new teeth last week but this time I didn't give him Ibruprofen for his pain as I think it has previously caused or exacerbated the asthma-like symptoms. Thankfully he only had a day of wheezing and ventolin and then bounced right back. Am thinking of moving him in with Lachlan this weekend as where his cot sits in our room is too near the light switch and he has been playing disco with it at 2am..lol. Kinda odd to wake up in the night with the light going on and off repeatedly.
Other than that..nothing much else to report. Going to the Highland Games event in Bundanoon tomorrow. Really looking forward to getting out of town for the day.

Best go back to the last thread and see what's been happening.

Hugs,
Amy:)

A new thread - this year is just zooming past me it seems!
Amy I was wondering how you all were as it had been a few days, glad to hear that all is well. I can imagine that Brittany is annoyed at going back a couple of weeks - lord don't you count every single one a million times when its your first! Is she on bubhub too, or too busy for such shenanagins?
Have fun at the Highland Games! We used to always go on New Years Day to the Games with my grandparents down at Wentworth Park - now that was a few years ago now.
How funny about the bedroom disco - it is time that lad went to the Big Boys Bedroom! Though seeings you lasted out a whole year it will be strange with that gap in your own room.

All is well here. G and T are both asleep which is a daytime miracle for this week. G has been doing a lot of mucking around in her room the last few days - which makes for a 6pm bed time for her!

Hi Ladies,

Hope you're all well.

Mary, sorry to hear about your fil, but hopefully they will get his meds sorted and he can go back to the home. How is dh? What does Miss G think of the T man? Happy birthday for last week. Sounds like you had a lovely day.

Hi Vicki - now you leave those home testers alone! You're a shocker! Feeling anything good/strange happening?

Hi Amy - you should put a little disco ball on your ceiling for realistic flashbacks to your youth! Time will fly for Brittany, I can't believe she's that far along already.

Hi Nae, how are you?

Bye for now.

Hi Girls,

Thought that I lost you, just when I found you...lol
Lucky I was searching for new threads.

Weekend so far has been pretty good. GF's & I spent 6 hrs shopping yesterday, spent way to much, but had a great time doing it. AF is due tomorrow, I have really sore (.)(.)'s yesterday & today. I haven't tested at all. I have been super good, but will probably test tomorrow...lol

Will post personals later, I think I should read all previous posts so I at least sound like I know what I am talking about.;) when asking after you all.

Have a great Sunday!!!

Morning Girls,

Well no AF as yet, I did do a HPT this morning and it's negative.

My specialist has been tracking my progesterone levels since my op last December...as I wasn't o'g

Jan - 19
Feb - 29.8
Mar - 22.4

So it looks like I didn't even O this month.

I have 1 more month of getting a BT to check the levels, then back to him as he will then put me on Clomid. I wanted to be on this already but he is of the opinion that slow & steady wins the race..arrrgghh.

Any suggestions girls, on how I can increase my chances to "o". I have cut out the smokes..not that I was a heavy smoker, but none the less gone! Don't drink. Trying to lose some weight, but my dr. says it's not the issue. I am open to everything and anything...

Tabby, I know what you mean about the OPK's I brought a 40 pack from the internet & used them all up in 1 month:laughing:. Brought some more, was trying to be conservative about using them, but they do my head in also

Hope all you girls are going to have a great Monday. Take Care

Nae, Sorry to hear no Ovulation this month
Mary, swears by acupuncture, cant hurt and might help you ovulate
Pity the fs didnt have you on the clomid from the start, mine did, and we have been doing bloods at the same time...

nothing much here, 2 days of work then 3 weeks off!

Well chickies Easter is upon us once again. Got any great plans?
My baby girl turns 22 tomorrow..and her baby is growing along beautifully as she discovered at the 19wk appt on Wednesday. It has gone so fast to this point, likely because she found out so late. Almost at the halfway point. I sent up some skinned chicken suits (Wondersuits) and some singlets that I found on special at Woolies but will gather some more baby things to take up when bub is due. She knows the sex but I will have to ask her if I can reveal the secret in here;)

Dane is not walking here yet. Stands, stands without holding onto anything, tries to stand from sitting, but independent steps still not happening *shrugs*..but he is starting to add to his vocabulary of late. Now says: Ear (for Selia), No (does that very well), Hello, and Bye. Probably doesn't sound too impressive but I am just happy that he is gaining those skills, however slowly.

Twelve teeth now but think there are more erupting as he has had some acid diarrhoea nappies the last few mornings which is highly unusual for him, and he has bitten me a few times this week when I was slow to pull my fingers away *OUCH*.

Sorry gotta dash again..but will carve out some time to catch up this weekend. The kids have hijacked my puter as they are participating in an international online maths program and are always on!!!!

Hugs to all. Have a wonderful Easter and if you are travelling, go safely.

Amy:)

Hi Ladies

Vicki - I've been meaning to say for ages that I've had a similar thing to the lap and dye you talked about except I wasn't put under and they just did some dye squirting with an ultrasound to establish that my tubes were OK.

Hi Amy - not sure if I mentioned before, but my brother never crawled and then started to walk when he was two. He ended up as a very tall, athletic man. We also suspected he was a tad lazy and like be waited upon! And a friend with a new baby has a chunk missing from her nipple this week. Last week she was trying to delay starting food. This morning - apparently he has mashed pumpkin... lol

Hi Mary - how are you and yours?

Hi Nae - sorry to hear that things have been delayed, but don't be influenced by Vicki!! She will have you piddling on things just for the fun of it ! lol.

I'm off to Coffs Harbour for a disaster recovery stint tomorrow morning so if you see a brunette floating down a creek with loud gumboots and jacket - that will be moi!

Cheers
Cat

LOL Cat, alas you know me so well with my pee on a stick..!!! Maybe I should tell DH not to stand still when it comes to poas time? haha
Gosh OUCH is all I can say for the nipple! I cringed
lol hope the stint goes well

Amy: Happy bday for DD and yay for the scan! Lovely news..I bet its a girl!

I had my hair done today, trimmed and layered with dark and light contrasting foils, then went and got acrylic french nails so had a lovely pampering day alone

Cat: That Disaster Recovery exercise sounds fun. How did you get yourself involved in that?
Thanks for the info on your brother walking late. A few ppl with late walkers have said they just take off and quite expertly too when they do. Hopefully this is the case with Dane.
Ouch to your friend with the bitey baby. I've seen how Dane bites and pulls at the teats on his bottles and am ever thankful to not be bfeeding now..lol.
So what happens now with your ttc? Can you get more of the same guy's semen? (sorry to pry..just interested).

Tabby: :fingerscrossed: that this is the month hon. I read your reply in the other thread about peri-menopause and it put me in mind of a Little House On The Prairie episode. Caroline is certain her lack of AF means she is pregnant until the old Doc tells her it's actually menopause. She takes it really hard. Thank goodness we live in these times where even menopause doesn't have to be a barrier to having a bub.
Is Katie getting excited about the Easter Bunny coming?
How is the home ownership investigation going?

Mary: How is life with that gorgeous Toby? Would love to see some new pics.
Wondering how your dh is coping too since the loss of his mum, and with his dad being unsettled so far away. Must be hard times for sure.
Is Genevieve looking forward to Easter?
I think we will just do a hunt this year as the kids still find that fun. Probably won't be putting out piles of raisins, talc footprints, or catch pieces of cotton wool in the door though...but will surely start that again when Dane is about three..lol.

Nae: Hello there. Sounds like you had a productive shopping spree:D.
:fingerscrossed: that this is the last month of ttc. How are you feeling?

Been busy lately. Checked out the men in kilts at the gathering last weekend:p. We didn't stay for the whole event as the kids were a bit toey, so we saw the parade and then headed back to Canberra and took them to the pictures instead.
This weekend Lachie has three birthday parties to attend, dh is off a car show today, while the kids and I are off to a luncheon/egg hunt organised by a lady at playgroup. So all good fun.
As to Brittany and her bub..well she said I can tell you. It's A Boy!!!:smiliedance:. I can just see boybee and his nephew growing up to be firm friends. Hopefully we will move closer to one another in the future.

Best away. Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.
Hugs,
Amy:)

Vicki oh dear. odours! - I know that one only too well!
Amy how lovely to know that you will have a grandson, I hope you will be living closer to Brittany before too long.
DH is going okay. It would've been his mum's 80th birthday on Thursday so that was a bit of a sad day. Did I say his Dad is now in a psych unit again after acting out at the home - all too intense really. Thankfully my SIL has gone away to Turkey for a decent break over the Easter hols, she has really been doing the hard yards being the closest (geographically) to their Dad.
We had a wonderful lunch party here yesterday with some friends and some family - 10 adults and 3 little ones. Good food, good company, good wine!
On the subject of photos - there are some new additions to the website, check out my signature and the March April pics! Toby is getting bigger - as you would hope!
I should go and have a chat to the Easter Bunny about tomorrow morning. Genevieve has no idea what is going on - I have a Peter Rabbit bowl set for her, and a Peter Rabbit toy for Toby. She did see the chocolates that the neighbour gave her (us!!) and she loves the stuff - so its a little egg or two for her. We're not doing an egg hunt, she wouldn't know what we were on about!
Hope you are all having a lovely long weekend! We are off for a family lunch tomorrow, should be fun of course!

Hi girls,

Hope you all had a happy easter. We did, we went to a waterfall and did some bushwalking sooooo beautiful there I didn't want to leave!! The next day we hit the beach and there were lots of waves (the girls loved it)...then onto a crocodile adventure tour. After embarking on our cruise the lovely tour guide informs us that one of the male crocs can lift the boat three feet out of the water if he wants!!! If he'd told me that earlier , there's no way I would have got on that boat!
However we arrived back safely and all was well.(phew!)
Cat: Just reading about your dye squirting experience and wondering if you can remember what it was called at all? I like the sound of that as apposed to being put under with the lap and dye.
Tabby: How many days do you go on the clomid for at a time? Considering it still.....as I turned 45 on the 30th March. Should've done it sooner I know, but some days I just cant imagine ttc at all! Things get rather hectic and I think I must be crazy to even consider it!!:(:(
Amy: CONGRATULATIONS with the little grandson on the way, you must be so excited!!:shakehands:
Well, i should go and do something for the day....take care everyone.
Tracey.

Hello lovelies.

Tracey: You are making me jealous with all that tropical talk. It's a world away from here that's for sure.
Happy belated 45th:party:happybirthday.
How are the girls? Still doing their swimming and gymnastics?

Tabby: Don't expect to hear from you til this O cycle is over and your poor dh drags himself from the bed:laughing: Bet he's not complaining tho'.
What's new with Katie nowadays? Does she have any weekly activities?

As to me...realised after sending hubby on his way this morning that it's our 9th wedding anniversary today. How romantic of us to forget..lol. Might go out to dinner tomorrow night..but with no sitter looks like we will drag the whole family along.

Everyone is well here. Boybee is starting to make a move towards freedom:
http://picasaweb.google.co.ukAmypen...31718309121682 (http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/Amypendragon/AmySPublicAlbum?authkey=TbxMpDl92t4#53243317183091 21682)
I pulled out my camera yesterday just to get some new footage of him and this is what he did spontaneously.
He now climbs anything in the way of furniture and babbles in sentences. He is so sweet too.. in the mornings when dh leaves for work he rushes to the door and waves and yells "Dad" until the car pulls out of sight.
He has a new favourite game: 'hide the rubber door wedge under a mat', I keep tripping over lumpy mats..lol. Right at the moment he is sitting up on the lounge watching In The Night Garden. That show is like a half hour nap for the brain I swear:laughing:.

Nothing much else to report. Had a lovely Easter full of luncheons with friends and playgroup mums and tons of chocky too, courtesy of Chrisco. Dang them..they aren't doing the eggs next year:no:.

That's about it. Best away.
Hugs to all,
Amy:)

Hi Ladies,

Hi Amy - they refused to order the new delivery with their last order and they only order once a month so I made enquiries about bringing it in myself, but it's nearly $1K for shipping alone so I've decided to wait. If they don't stuff me around this time it should arrrive mid May, but depending on where I am in my cycle, who knows when I will start again. Pretty peed off about the whole episode. And it's not prying at all!

I've done a few disaster recovery jobs before but normally in Sydney. This is the first one I've done onsite of an event. Lots of variety and being paid a fortune, but considering I don't 'do' mornings and have to get up at 6.30am - it's killing me! I'm deployed at Urunga which is about 1/2 an hour south of Coffs and now we are being plagued by disease carrying mozzies. Other than that it's great fun.

Hi Tracey - I can't remember the name of the procedure, but if you're not having it done in the next fortnight, I can give you the details when I get home.

I've been trying to get flights to QLD on Saturday for my uncle and aunt's 50th wedding anniversary, but it's just about impossible. Looks like I'll have to fly to Sydney first then go back to Brisbane and then hire a car and head west. That's also about $900 (I imagine about $500 when the school holidays are over) and I'm not even sure I'll make it on time. It's a pain.

I've adopted a lovely old fellow who lost everything in the floods and ended up in hospital I think because he just fretted so much, his health went downhill. I've been visiting him each day (bearing bananas - the locals gave us two crates) and he heard today that he may die at any moment. He's depressed, his Sydney daughter is in a mess, but he still manages a little flirting with the nice young nurse who's caring for him saying he wishes he was 70 years younger...

Hi Mary - is Toby sleeping well? How is your little family unit gelling?

Better scat and collapse. Talk to you later now I'm back on the air and hope you all had a lovely Easter.

Cathrine

Aw Cat, bless the old boy, he sounds like a right charmer too! How lovely of you to visit each day, Hope his passing is peaceful when it comes. :(
Sounds like youve been very very busy, sounds lots of fun though.
Hope your timing in cycle is perfect when your next delivery arrives to get back into it xxx

Amy: Am still around hun, just enjoying 3 weeks off and hoping for my positive hpt any day now so I can stay at home hehe.
Im enjoying Katie soo much! Didnt realise how much I miss working even part time.
Just saw the vid, wowwww hes soo close! woohoo, any day now Ide say.
Katie is well, ball of energy and soo funny!
Im going to look into a play group for her next week, i think she needs it now more than ever

tracey: clomid is taken for 5 days straight started just after the beginning of your cycle , all docs are different too in when, most common is cd3-7 or cd5-9, cd5-9 for me as it worked last time

well, as said am waiting to test so fingers crossed for me..should af not arrive within the next few days ill poas

Not good Cat, Thanks for asking

Had my FS yesterday and bloods showed I didnt ovulate this past month and my FSH was 30!!!..would explain the no show of AF and neg tests
Have had more bloods taken, which can show if AF on her way. When she shows I go back to him cd5..not sure why cd5..but he said when she shows go back and we discuss what to do from there..IF she doesnt show by 4 weeks time I go back anyway..
Feeling very down at the moment, trying stay positive but its hard after knowing no ovulation even on the clomid :(

Hows things with you hun?

21-04-2009, 21:58
Vicki - sorry to hear that things aren't too good on your side of the continent. I hope AF shows up for you soon.
Cat - are you back from Coffs? Did you make it to the anniversary party?
Amy - just watched the vid of Dane walking - how cute is that?? (just didn't watch it the other day!)

Tobias is turning into a great big little baby - he looks so funny in his little blonde way. Yes, he does have hair on his head, its just very short and almost white. I had a great head of hair when I was a bub and my two have taken after their dad in the 'that baby is bald' stakes!
Genevieve is a hoot, she was telling everyone who would listen today the Tale of Peter Rabbit, quoting it word by word from the beginning! This current fad only started with Easter and the unearthing of the Peter Rabbit book last weekend! She is also practising her phone manner, also a bit of a laugh as she runs through all the things I say on the phone.

Mary, youll be pleased to know have found a chinese acupuncturist who knows what I was after.
Just waiting on a call back after she talks to him and to get a booking

Most searching says " walking and acupuncture " are the best to get the ovaries doing what they should and doing it at their best

Am waiting for my call from the FS re: lastest bloods to see if AF is on its way and anything else thats relevant.
I rang but he wants to talk to me himself so am hoping its cos its good news

I OVULATED!!!!

He spoke to me himself to tell me i must have ovulated later and the bloods were too soon to see that, he agreed the positive opks' i got cd19 would have been it, with egg release 12-36 hrs after so he said if I dtd about then hopefully we got lucky, af should be due 2 weeks after that so, cd20 for ovulation means af due any day?...unless was a bit after that so give or take a few days.
Ive been peeing so bad yesterday and today, thats a af or bfp sign for me.
He said if af arrives to up the dose to 100mg clomid!
so happy its working!

Oh Vicki I'm so pleased to hear that you ovulated - what a relief that must be. You know how I feel about acupuncture - so if you have a course of that too I don't think it would harm you at all! I know you will keep us posted!! If you have kept up the Blanket Approach, then you never know what you might find out soon! Then you can have the acu to make sure the baby sticks!

Its official - Tobias is thriving, and in a very good paddock!! The lad is now 5.455kg and 59cm long, a gain of nearly 2kg and 9cm since birth.
I took both the kids in the pram to the gym this morning and feel very exercised, and tired!! Dh was going to mind T but had to go to a meeting. Genevieve was very excited to have her little brother at the creche this morning and was telling everyone "This is Toby" when we arrived!
Vicki oh this waiting game is dull dull dull. Hopefully something happens for you soon.

And I hope the rest of you are all going fine, and just a bit too busy to drop in here at the moment!
Have a good weekend!!

Hi Ladies,

I'm back from Coffs for a few days and then off to Armidale for uni on Tuesday. It's a good thing I have a fuel card, because I've been seriously clocking up the ks over the last few weeks.

Hi Mary - the family do was great. I knew they were having a celebration Mass, but they renewed their vows as did their best man and maid of honour. It was gorgeous. They had about 80 odd people and Mum met some school friends she hasn't seen for more than 50 years. I managed to keep my arrival a surprise, but decided when I saw Mum looking a bit miserable with her back (they drove up with friends the day before) to whack them on a flight home. They would both end up crippled otherwise. Anyway, after nagging Mum for weeks to go (my cousin clinched the deal) she had the best time.

Great to hear that Toby is thriving - what did he think of the gym? How is DH feeling? A friend's new baby has hair, but it is bizarre. He looks like a thinning on top middle aged man. It is the palest brown on top, but the mass underneath is almost white so it looks very strange. Fortunately he's a very cute baby, but you can't imagine what all her DoCS friends are calling him...

Hi Vicki - are you feeling any better with your cold? Your new doctor sounds like he's on the ball. What the next thing for you?

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

Cheers
Cat

Hi Cat - how lovely the 50th wedding anniversary celebrations sounded. It must have been gorgeous - I'm glad you convinced your parents to attend - and how kind of you to shout them the flight home!

Toby coped well at the creche, slept most of the time I think - and definitely stayed in the pram the whole time. He even had his first trip to playgroup this week, so it seems I am getting back into the old routine with two little ones in tow.
Yes, new babies of both genders and "male pattern baldness" - so many of them look like friar tuck eh? Tobes has a very blonde covering of hair which is exceedingly short, with a bit of long at the back that he hasn't managed to rub off yet. The two colour thing is pretty funny eh?

We had a lovely day today - it was so sunny this morning we all walked down to a playground near the river for a breakfast picnic - we were out of the house by 7.30 which is very early for us to be on the streets! Genevieve had a great old time playing with either dh or me in alternation and Toby slept the whole time!
Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!

Amy: how are you hun?

cat: The anniversary sounded wonderful!
Im waiting AF and then on to 100mg clomid.
I ovulated late so not sure when af due..would assume any day now, just hope that IF shes going to show its sooner rather than later so can get on with it
we have our 1st wedding anniversary 17th may.
Inlaws are treating us to a swish hotel by the beach near where we honeymooned! If im not lucky this time I worked out if af on time I will be ovulating about then,,what a sweet surprise that would be
still feeling very unwell so am off to watch tv.
feel better than last night and earlier today so hopefully its on its way to being over so i can enjoy the last of my hols!

Oh did i tell yous I was leaving? Only going back for about 6 weeks then will be a sahm again
Ive missed Kate SO much! and being home has made me realise I need to be with her more to take her out and learn and play etc

Vicki: :smiliedance:for the O'ing. At least you know you are on the right track. Hopefully with the Clomid and some acupuncture you will have your :bfp: before the year is out. What great IL's to treat you to a weekend away! They sound like keepers.

Mary: That Toby is such a cutie:cloud9:. How are you coping with a toddler and a bub? I hope it is all flowing along nicely.
Hair is something my kids took forever to get and was so fine to start with but had thickened up nicely by the time they were two. Dane is working toward his currently..lol.

Cat: Sounds like you have a busy life..at least you didn't float off down that river in the end. How are the uni studies going?
What a good daughter you are to fly your folks home. How's your mum now?

Nothing much going on here. I find it hard to get online these days what with the kids always on etc.
Dane is thriving. Dang that boy is just the cutest thing out. Dh and I spend blocks of time adoring the heck out of him..lol..and now that he does things like blow kisses and offer his dummy to his teddies there are plenty of *awww* moments to enjoy.
School hols are officially over but tomorrow being the Anzac Day public holiday means I don't get my freedom back until Tuesday *holding on by my fingers and toes*. Each year gets harder to keep them occupied. Now we have an annual pass to the science museum there should be plenty to do on wet Sunday afternoons.
Best away to get boybee down for his morning nap. He is currently glued to Teletubbies so his brain should be almost asleep..lolol.

Hugs,
Amy:)

Hello!
It seems that both the little ones are at least resting quietly at the moment. Fingers crossed they are both actually asleep. We are going back to G's swimming lesson this afternoon so she needs a rest.
Well, we had a lovely weekend. Yesterday G and I made anzac biscuits, a topical excuse for some baking really! Then we went down and had lunch at my parents, which is always a great way to spend part of the weekend.
We have booked a weekend away this weekend. We are going to Bowral, to stay in a hotel that has one bedroom "apartments" and an indoor heated pool - two things I had a bee in my bonnet about. The motel room just doesn't cut it at the moment with G going to sleep when she does. Toby on the other hand will go to sleep anywhere! I am so looking forward to it, its our first little holiday with our whole family! I did have that jaunt down the coast with the kids when Dh was in England, but as you can imagine it was not the most ideal time.
Amy hope those big kids aren't driving you too mad. An annual pass to the science museum sounds like a very good investment. It won't be too long and they'll be arranging their entire hols themselves and you'll just be taxi-ing them from one friends place to another!
Vicki what fun to be giving up work! I hope you do it this time - I recall this kind-of talk before. But it sounds like you've made up your mind! I can't wait to hear what the next step is in the pg cause, good luck with all of that.
Anyway, suppose I should go and get things organised for the pool outing just in case they both decide to riot once they wake up!

WTF???? who talks to their 17 yr old step grandson like that? and to top it off, the hotel stay was left too late, now we cant go same place as honeymoon..fil lost me and ds2 some time back when he was offered a car and as he didnt want i asked for it for ds2, his reply " nah its too good for him" :( ...meaning hed trash it.
sigh, it just keeps getting better

Tabby: I hear you gal. Honestly, the thing that worked best for the relationship between Brittany and my IL's was distance:laughing:, and loads of it! It's a shame they never did bond though as my MIL could have filled the gap left by my mum's death. I guess I am just glad they were civil to Brittany.
There is no excuse for rudeness or swearing and particularly not from extended family that your son should be able to look to for support and guidance I think.
Sorry for being nosey but I suddenly wondered if your younger son looks toward his older brother for that sort of male bonding and role modelling? Or does he have a close relationship with your dh?
Sounds like you will be glad to be home again full-time. At least now you've seen both sides of the fence, SAHM V Working mum, and can see what each offers. Bet Katie will be glad to have you home again though.

Mary: Hope you are having a marvellous time in Bowral..gorgeous place. Look forward to hearing about it when you come home.

Best go and find something productive to do. It's 3pm and I'm still in my jammies. Maybe I should consider getting dressed?..*nah* it's Sunday after all.:D

He does lean a lot towards ds1 now lately tho, seeing as they both have cars to work on in common hehe
Its been a great bonding sessions for them both.

Hi Ladies,

Hope you're all well.

I have a mere 48hours before I have to go back to work after nearly a month off playing around. I would seriously like to retire!

Hi Vicki - when are you back to the doc? Families can be wonderful or suck. Don't worry about the outlaws. Keep the good eggs close.

Hi Amy - how's Brittany - nice and chubby?

Can't wait to hear of Mary's Excellent Adventures. I've just come from minus 1 at night. I imagine Bowral will be much the same.

Any woo, take care

I'm pretty p'd off with the clinic. It is just becoming more of a joke. First they use the last sample in September then cancel my cycle because they 'discover' the mistake, then one of the nurses refuses intially to refund the payment and then to order the sample, and this month it has gone up again in price (2 months in a row). Now of course it's suggested that the budget cuts will scrap the IVF program so I won't get a rebate from Medicare which wouldn't have happened if they'd done their job properly months ago.

Anyway I've off for a blood test on Friday to possibly start the cycle again. Next disaster will be that they do a collection on my exam date. Feeling like I can't win at the moment.

AND the software I bought today won't work and I have to go back to work tomorrow so I'm really whinging.

Thursday's nice and quick !! Good luck:fingerscrossed:

The Tobster is just lovely! Such a delightful child and as you can tell I am completely unbiased! Genevieve is pretty good too!
We had a great weekend away - so refreshing to get out of town! Fresh air, autumnal colours, good food, picnics, art galleries and shopping - got some great boots that cost a small fortune but will last me a loooonnggg time - I will never be cold in Kent again - or anywhere else for that matter. The little ones enjoyed themselves too, G wanted to go back yesterday, as you do!
Have been busy trying to get back into the swing of things properly as far as a weekly routine goes. So far the only thing that has stuck is the gym for me and the creche for Genevieve twice a week. Toby stays home with Dad, its just easier for all of us that way. I'm sure he'll be coming too on a regular basis before too long.
Have just noted the time, should be getting ready for bed I feel!
Hope you are all well!

Hi girls!

It's getting so cold at night lately.........we got down to 14 degrees and I nearly froze!:D
Life in the tropics aahh...'spose we have to put up with it!
Dd1 is in Cairns today with the school, she made it into the district netball team (and very proud!), had to be up early and back late after playing all day in the hot sun...she'll be very tired tonight!:sleeping:
Dd2 has officially been diagnosed with seperation anxiety disorder. Went to GP yesterday after the school decided she is unable to attend with me anymore! (GRRRRRRRRR).
She has been unable to go back since Wednesday...and I am fuming that she has missed school at a crucial stage as they were just beginning to learn to read.
She misses her friends and cant understand why she cant go. I am not happy!!
We see a psychologist on 25th May , couldn't get in till then.
Enough about me...hope you're all ok.Good luck Tabby with ttc. Sounds like there's hope yet!
Hi to everyone. Better get something done!!
Tracey.

08-05-2009, 21:50
Tracey I think I've missed something crucial about your girls. Have you been going to school with your dd2 and staying all day? Sounds a bit harsh for her to be excluded, does the school have real grounds on which to do this? Public or private? How old is your dd2? My sis had both her children at home with her until they were six - they could've started a year earlier but she thought (and it was) it best for them to be home for another year.
Was just about to say that there was nothing much to report on here, but then I remembered whats been taking up my mindspace today. Dh spoke to his sis last night and her partner has been diagnosed with cancer, and yes, they are both in their 40s. Talk about a trifecta of awfulness from England this year for us, and particularly for dh. We don't know what is going to happen in the way of treatment for our brother-in-law, I think he's having more tests very soon to find out if its anywhere else apart from the prostate.
I have to say I touch wood a lot re: my two very healthy and lovely children. Thank goodness we are blessed in that regard. Toby is a complete joy, like his big sister.
We are looking forward to a good weekend! The only thing really set is afternoon tea here with my parents for Mother's Day, will see how the rest unfolds!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you!! Trust you all had a lovely day, whichever way it went for you!
We had a lovely lovely day!
Dh made breakfast (he always does actually), we had a bit more gourmet than the usual though - steamed eggs in ramekins with sorrel and smoked salmon, and lots of toast and coffee. We all went to a new garden centre and had an early lunch and bought some new plants etc. Toby slept in the carrier and G got to jump in puddles so it was a win-win situation! Afternoon sleeps for everyone then Dh cooked a cake and my parents, youngest niece, little sister and brother all came over for afternoon tea - pretty much an ideal sunday. I got spoilt by dh, jewellry and pyjamas - even a couple of surprises!!
Both the kidlets are in bed and we are contemplating cheese on toast for dinner, if we had a tin of tomato soup I would know we are really turning into Sunday Night Parents!
Hugs to all of you!

Happy Mothers Day Ladies!

Hope you got lots of TLC (and I do like the sound of jewellry and PJs).

I received lots of calories! Instead of making one cake for my mother, I made a million little strawberry baby cakes and stuck ridiculous little farmyard animals on them (more suitable for a child but we we amused). Unfortunately of the 32 I made, only 22 make it onto the plate.

Good thing I'm starting my little fake diet tomorrow. That is if my teeth don't fall out before morning.

God bless frosting !

Sorry lovely..mainly have enough time to read posts and think of all the things I would say to you all but just don't get it down in a post. Between the kids being online for schoolwork and life in general, I am just not finding the time to be online as I used to.

Anyway..have a few moments now so:

Tabby: Really hoping that the 100mg dosage does the trick. I feel frustrated on your behalf hon. It's hard to want something so badly and jump through hoops of fire but constantly wonder when it's going to happen:hair:. I feel that way about home ownership.

So when do you finish up work? Bet your employers will miss you heartily.

Cat: Gee, another situation of jumping through hoops in the challenge of ttc. I personally reckon the easiest way to fall pg is to pretend you're seventeen and have a brief relationship with someone you aren't that into:laughing:. All jokes aside, I hope things work out for you soon. Can I ask how much it costs each insemination? I frequently wonder how the Octuplet mum in America could afford eight IVF treatments. I thought it was like five grand a go ???
Yumbo those cakes sound good and congrats on passing your exams!

Mary: They say trouble comes in threes. Sorry to hear your dh's family are suffering so much though. It never rains but it pours hey.
Sounds like things are finding their own level in your household. You are doing it way earlier than I ever did though. I found it took at least nine months to establish a comfortable routine when a new bub hit the house.

Tracey: I so had to laugh at your 'cold snap'. I recall owning one cardigan when we lived in Townsville and I wore the thing to death each winter when it got to below 20..hehehe. Brittany complained that it recently got down to 10 degrees overnight in Rocky. She said she was bundled under layers of clothing and two pairs of bed socks and was still cold. Meanwhile we were having zero degrees overnight and feeling it was quite mild.
Sorry to hear your dd2 is having a struggle with separation. Did it only start this year? It must be hard to know what to do. There was a little girl in Selia's preschool class who cried when her mum went. She would cry for up to three hours a day. The staff suggested the mum say her goodbye's and leave briskly. Gosh that would have been tough for the mum. By mid-year the little one suddenly stopped crying and started to join in. Gotta say though..when I was there helping for those first few months it was gut wrenching watching her cry it out. Hope the psych can find a way that suits you all.

Brittany is at 22wks (almost 23) and having another scan this Friday. If you recall she had her 18-20wk at 19w 3d only to be told she was actually at 17w 6d..so they told her to wait another month and return, hence the upcoming scan. Will post more pics when she sends them to me. She sounds really happy though, already collecting baby furniture and considering the birth plan. Thankfully she has plenty of knowledge gleaned from witnessing the births of her siblings.

The kids are all well and busy with school and hobbies. I think Dane is teething again..he is biting everything and everyone with a vengeance..and his nappies are ripe atm *woof*.

Best dash..am uploading videos of Dane's climbing adventures. Will post one later.

Hugs,
Amy:)

Hi Ladies,

Hi Vicki - is AF staying away for your weekend so far?:fingerscrossed:

Hi Amy - price-wise IVF varies wildly between clinics and private vs public. I'm private and pay approximately $5,100 for the cycle which means up to egg collection and transfer back. If some eggs are put on ice and transfered later it is much less. Can't really remember, but $1,600 rings a bell. That doesn't include preliminary testing to make sure all the bits 'work' but once that's done, it's a one off cost.

Then, as in my case, you purchase the donor sperm if you don't have any of your own and the latest rort is price based on education level. Unfortunately my choice is a PhD so his sperm is more expensive. I find it a con and bizarrely my mother thinks that is reasonable (did I mention we used to breed racehorses - lol). I also have a procedure called ICSI which is when they inject an individual sperm into a healthy looking egg rather than let them chat each other up in a petrie dish. That's another $500.

When they started the Medicare/IVF budget debate recently they discussed the average Sydney clinic price as around $4,500 so my Eastern Suburbs guy is about a $1,000 more without any extras.

I have a friend at work who is going through the public system and it costs her next to nothing, but she has had a long, long wait to get started.

And as for being seventeen to have a brief relationship, if I could find someone vaguely appealing and could assure myself I wouldn't throw a hip, I'm there sweet - lol. I would have to shave my legs, but it's a small price - hahaha.

Actually an old boyfriend of mine who now bounces between Edinburgh and London (didn't I have a lovely visit in November!) has discussed at length over the years reproduction between us. He knows what I'm up to at the moment and I think if this cycle doesn't work, I'll have another little trip at the end of the year :)

Octomom is unemployed, so I doubt she could afford regular IVF so I have no idea how she managed it. An American friend had a scare with her first baby and spent several hours in their version of an emergency ward and cost her $6,000 after the highest private medical insurance.

Hi Mary - sorry to hear about DH's endless long distance horrors. Ay more news of your BIL?

God that was long winded - sorry!

Cat

Cat: Sorry chicky but I kind of lean toward your mum's view about the higher cost of donations from high achievers. Supply and demand hon.
Did you see the US documentary last year about the genius whose sperm was the most popular? They featured quite a few of the children his donations had created and found they did not seem to have inherited his genius after all.
The doco maker raised an interesting question: (aside from their special child)...What are DaVinci and Einstein's parents personally noted for? And their other children?

Sometimes the highest achievers can come from the lowest of circumstances. Go figure..lol.

Anyways I had best get to bed pronto.

Maybe you and your ex will make a spectacular little human together come the year's end:fingerscrossed:.

hahaha Cat - I love your comment about your Mum and the phd sperm! I recall our friends who have racehorses saying that keeping them costs as much as sending the kids to boarding school!
Amy - pleased to have a report from Our Nation's Capital. Glad to hear that all is going well, and the same for Brittany and the grandchild-in-the-making!
Vicki I am sure you will have a lovely weekend!

All is well with us. G has a cold but is fine - if that makes sense! They are both asleep again (Yay) but I'm sure G will be up before too long. I went to my Ob and had a pap smear this morning, and was basically told to get on with it if I want another baby. Personally I think I will wait til I get my period back, or until T is at least 6 months old - but we shall see.
We've decided to put off our trip to England til the end of the year. Just a bit too full-on for all of us to be going next month, so many changes this year and I really don't feel like we're on an even keel yet - almost but not quite. So instead I think we'll be heading off to the tropics in July for a week or so - a bit of heat will do us all the world of good! Must start to get that organised soon I feel, before dh's work gets on top of him to the extent that he says we shouldn't go. If its locked in there's no choice eh?
Oh, my b-i-l is having more tests this week I think. Fingers crossed the cancer is just in the one location.
They were clearing out my in-laws house yesterday, so a whole lot of boxes containing dh's past are on their way! We will have to get the garage sorted so they have somewhere to go to start with!

I think this is truly all the news for now!!

Hi Ladies,

I'm still not sure I agree with the added expense for a smartie, but he was my favourite so that's how it goes.

Hi Mary - we have an added expense with our little foal at the moment. He's a lunatic. His mother is feral and she has raised a little monster so well before he ever gets a look at a trainer, we had to send him to 'finishing school'. He walks around on his back legs. My uncle finds it disconcerting when he's having a cup of tea in the morning and the foal walks past waving his front legs in the air. Goes back to the nature/nurture debate (sperm too). He's well breed but a loon.

Anyway he came back from school nicely dressed with a refined accent - lol.

How is Miss G's cold? Is she feeling better? It will be nice to have a little break before your big trip. That will take a lot out of you.

Hi Vicki - hope you're having a lovely weekend. I've already started this cycle and go back for another blood test on Wednesday to see when I start my injections.

Hi Amy - I didn't see that doco but there was a lot of discussion about it at work. It's interesting how things work out. Good to hear that Brittany is well. Did she have any morning sickness.

Poor Dane, a friend's baby is teething and she looks like someone put a blow torch to her cheeks. She is so miserable. It's awful.

Best scat, how you're all well.

Vicki I think its time someone handed your dd the "get out of jail free" card!
The boxes will be interesting when they actually arrive, in about 3 months I believe! There will be all sorts of "stuff" to find a new "home" for. Al's sis was laughing about the politically incorrect children's books they put in for us. My in-laws did keep a fair bit of stuff, but Al had a house full of his own stuff that he'd packed up and left in various attics and sheds around the south of England.
On the subject of the English family - it seems our brother-in-law has a very aggressive cancer, its not in the bones, but he has to have more tests next week to see if it has spread elsewhere. All a bit devastating.
Fingers crossed that this round of clomid does the trick!
Cat that latest foal sounds like a doozy - "nature vs nuture" is right! By the way I think PhD sperm is great stuff - guess who's husband's a Dr of the PhD nature!
Well, its been wet or grey and rainy here for a couple of days now. Very limiting to our gardening! I must get out there and put down some snail bait, I see that they're loving the broccoli plants especially.
Genevieve and I have been getting into baking as well lately. Today we made sultana slice, which is yum. I am getting better at being patient with her in the kitchen, and she just loves helping.
Toby is being a most delightful child, very contented and lovely! He's also getting those nice fat thighs - G never had them, she was a slight thing in comparison.
On the subject of the kitchen, G is doing the washing up and dh is very patiently supervising from a distance!

Hi Vicki - how are you feeling with the drugs? That sounds like lovely news for DS1 - keep us updated.

My dear Mary - I'd put money on the fact that you fell in love with Al rather than his doctoral producing sperm - hahaha!

I like the idea of a little helper in the kitchen, but not sure what the results would be (besides high self esteem for Miss G - lol).

I'm back to the living pin cushion starting tonight. I didn't think I would be starting today because usually I'm hard to supress - lol, but it appears that my body gave in easily this time. I'm back for an ultrasound on Tuesday.

I was inspecting my legs in the shower this morning. I'm pretty sure I can help with the deforestation of the Amazon... I could seriously lose some weight when I shave them.

Hi Y'all,
sorry to just jump in on the middle of the thread but I just turned forty this week, and thought it would be all a bit too much fuss to make a new thread to introduce myself.:o

For those who haven't seen me round the hub I'm a may07 mumma (DD bear turns two at the end of this month), I live out woop woop northern rivers, have a dastardly DH, an ever-changing menagerie, and work from home as a freelance writer and journo. I make great chicken soup and just perfected the gluten and dairy free chocolate mud cake with icing. this was probably my biggest achievement lately.

anyhow, hope to get to chat with you all and hope everyone is well and staying DRY (we've got floods on here at the mo)

Hi Ladies,

Mary - if I had never shaved them they would be a lot finer. As it stands, I have my own little barbed wire factory happening. Are you feeling a little more rested?

I'll look forward to the update in the children's intelligence, but I bet my little PhD wasn't paid any more for his gift. lol

Hi Vicki - you and me both with the memory loss and I'm the one that's done it before. Tuesday will be a blood test to measure whatever they're measuring (still suppressed perhaps?) and an ultrasound to start having a look at the follicles and see how many and what size they are. I went longer than my chart diagram last time so it seems I'm pretty relaxed physically as well as mentally.

The chart suggests that a few days later I would have the trigger injection and then a couple of days after that the egg collection.

How are your 'activities' going. Still feeling well?

Hi Zooy, how are you? I'm ttc (first time I've written that) and am going through the process now which is interesting to say the least.

On that note, I have to scat to bed. I've just been to a girlfriend's place for dinner for us to inspect her new boyfriend - poor bloke.

Ciao for now

Hahaha Cat I was wondering why for the late late post and was hoping it was because of fun! I trust the new boyfriend of the friend is not an axe wielding maniac (that was what my sis was worried about with Al!)
Welcome Welcome Welcome Zooy! I joined this thread just after my 40th too - last year for me! I also have a 2 year old girl and for further entertainment, a little boy who is nearly 12 weeks old! I hope you and the menagerie aren't too water logged up there in the north of our state.

We are having a sunny morning and this says something positive about being woken up far too early, I have put out 4 loads of washing and there is another in the machine! We are going out for lunch at my parents, my aunty and uncle are up from Canberra for the weekend, and some other good friends are coming down from Newcastle so Mum is turning it on for the family or those of us she can muster - I think it will be 16 around the table.
Yesterday we went in to a growers market in Redfern in the morning. It was lovely. Got some good cheese, a mint plant, that kind of thing! Toby slept in the ergo (new purchase and so worth the dosh!) and G was pretty well behaved too. Then the forementioned Aunt and Uncle and my parents came around in the late afternoon for cheese!
Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday.

Amy: hows the family, hope alls well

Sunshine here too! So we are off to the museum in about a hr or so. Katies first time, she loves her books and learning about animals / dinosaurs etc so will have a great time am sure.

Oh and Cat, yup, feeling good so already had a couple of extra in there..practice maybe? lol am due to Ovulate in a few days, 3-6 i hope..

Hi Mary - it was a fun evening and I don't think he's concealing an axe, but as you know a potential beau must be inspected by friends and siblings.

How was your lunch today and where are the markets at Redfern?

Hi Vicki - He did pass (we think). We seems pleasant enough, he's a POM so I hope he's going to stay because my friend is quite smitten with him. He's very political (I'm completely apolitical) so if we stick to the weather and food, we'll be fine. Actually can't really talk too much about food, he's a committed vegetarian and I'm the original carnivore. Anyway they seem content.

Time to stop dilly dallying and go and do some homework. If there was an Oylmpic record for procrastination, it would be GOLD, GOLD, GOLD!

Cat the markets are indoors in one of the old railway sheds at Eveleigh over near CarriageWorks on Wilson Street, every Saturday it seems - parking at Australian Technology Park and shuttle bus across. Very nice!
Glad the new man passed. Pom's can be perfectly lovely!
Vicki hope the museum was fun for all. Our natural history museum has a great little kids area, we must take G in one day.
We had a great afternoon. G had a sleep before we went, which made things so much nicer for everyone. Tobias was just a peach and happily went from one person to another, had a couple of naps, chattered away - very much the contented baby. The food was fantastic - three courses with three dessert! So good to see all those people too!

Mary: Luckily since I had been there they had upgraded and also had a discovery centre for kids, she was absolutely fascinated! Loved the butterfly collection as she is butterfly mad. They had a paper there telling us what plants brought butterflies around so thats our project when i break from work :yelclap:
She was asleepin the car 3 mins to the way home too lol so not like her

Sounds like you had a lovely day also. :smiliedance:

Hi

I'm Tracy and I live on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

I have just found out that I'm pregnant at 42. I really didn't believe this would happen at my age and am still in shock. I'm only 5 weeks duration but I feel very very pregnant.

I have two children, one who is now 20 and has flown the nest and the second would have been 10 in June but she died from SIDS 9 years ago.

So to find out I'm expecting another baby, for me is a miracle!!

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Can I ask were you actively ttc or a total surprise?
Sorry if too nosy!

Sorry for your loss of your dd to SIDS. :hugs:

Cat:sorry hun I didnt see your post before! Sounds like there will be plenty of debates ahead lol DH is a pom and we "debate" all the time I debate, and in the end he agrees
jk! Hope he hangs around for her.

Another day off....starting to get annoyed
She sprung in last min friday that no work monday and wed and maybe even friday!!!!
I didnt need this so close to my leaving, wish I had arranged a retainer wage a bit back regardless of work load..
unfortunetly getting your blinds clean is the last thing you will do if money is tight and we are feeling the pinch of just how close we are

Am having some serious ovary pains..was quite painful last night but seems to have eased with a walk with dd
fingers crossed its a big juicy egg getting ready to come on down and meet DH! lol
we are bding every 2nd night as planned and will bd daily once ov is clearly almost here, until past ov

Tabby: Hello, well to answer your questions.....we weren't actively ttc, but also we weren't being that careful. I truly believed that I couldn't get pregnant due to my age, I haven't used contraception for over a decade. We were beginning to look at egg donation, so yes this is a miracle, early days but....

Well feeling very pregnant as in tiredness, absolutely massive painful boobs that resemble a road map and that awful metal taste in my mouth plus a bit moody.... oh and an appetite that is more than healthy...I've already started to put on the pounds and have had to buy new bras. Can't get into my jeans, well I can, but I can't zip up....

I consider myself extremly lucky.

Are you ttc? How long have you been trying?

Hi again

DD is 2 and a half, I got pregnant at 42 on 1st round of clomid and gave birth to her at 43
We have been trying since she was 6 months (as in not on anything) but went back to my Fertility specialist when it wasnt happening naturally about 4 months ago and we are now on round 3 of clomid but this month he upped my dosage, its working, we just havnt been able to catch the egg so hopefully the higher dose works

lol i found I added the pounds a lot quicker than before too and very early on! I had to restrain my self it added so quickly!
Hope the tiredness ease for you soon.
Lots of naps !

Welcome Tracy! Congratulations on the surprise pregnancy, you truly must feel like it is a miracle! As you can tell from my signature we have a 12 week old little boy and a 2 year old girl and its a lot of fun in our home these days!
We had a eventful day today. I decided to walk down to the station with dh as T was up when he was heading off, and then I took the kids to the playground at the end of the street. G was having a grand old time, there was a little boy there a few months older to play with - and about the time we would've been getting ready to head off she cracked her head on the only bit of concrete there - under the picnic table. So I ended up taking her (with T in tow) to the local casualty dept. Luckily it wasn't that serious, she got some of that skin glue stuff on her wound and we were out of there within a couple of hours. It really was a case of me being super cautious - but I'd much rather be safe than sorry. Both the kids are in bed already and I wish I was too!
Tomorrow Toby and I are going to my friend's TAFE class for Show and Tell - she's teaching a baby care unit to (basically) untrained child care workers. It should be a lark! I took G along at a similar age too!

Hello Tabby, so you too were pregnant at 42 and gave birth at 43. This is good to hear. Was it harder being pregnant and giving birth in your 40's? I keep thinking that due to my age I'll either miscarry or the baby will have DS or something, but then I've had two healthy pregnancies albeit the last one I had pre-eclampsia and put on over 40 kilos, most of it was water retention but still - I'm concerend that this will occur again. The tiredness I can cope with as I know that at 12 weeks it will subside.....only another 7 weeks to go :)

So the clomid stimulates ovulation? Do you know when you ovulate? Do you have to monitor your body temp? How difficult was it obtaining Clomid in Australia? I know there is an increased chance of multiple pregnancy when using Clomid. Looking forward to chatting soon.:flowerz:

Mary - I love the fact that Toby is a Show and Tell item. Much more interesting than a book or a rabbit - lol. Much better to be safe than sorry with Miss G. Glad she's OK. I was about her age when I tried to electrocute myself. That went down a treat.

Hi Vicki - keep up the good work! How are you feeling today? Any more news on the work front?

Hi Tracy - welcome! Hope it all goes well for you.

I had my first ultrasound today and I'm all follicled up so head back on Friday for another one. I got roused on when I arrived as I thought I'd take advantage of my day off and go in later to miss the peak hour traffic, but they wants the blood tests done before 9.30 so we can have the results by 2.00.

Any hoo, better scat and do some homework.

Vicki ditto for you, but I know you want to work, at least for the next few weeks.
Tracy I can understand all your fears of being pg at this point in your life. The stats aren't kind to us, but fingers crossed for a sticky baby (as they say around bubhub!) and a healthy progression of pregnancy.
Toby and I had a lovely time at TAFE, he was his usual super-well-behaved self, all smiles and suchlike. The class loved him, and they had every reason to!
Then we chuffed with G out to my parents place for lunch, some friends were coming too for a baby and toddler inspection! So the kids were well behaved and good company, which is all you can ask for! We had a nice day, and both the little darlings have been in bed for over an hour already!

Tracy: I had the same worries as you and am sure will again even more so this time round if im so lucky. It was harder but in different ways than when I was younger, I had SPD with dd so was quite painful walking the last 8 weeks but I enjoyed every aspect of my pregnancy in comparison to when 18 and 28yrs old. Dont get me wrong I loved being pregnant with the boys but I dont think I really stopped to appreciate the wonder and amazement of it all like I did with Kate, if you know what I mean Corny I know lol
I cant wait to do it just once more!

Clomid is relatively easy here through a fertility specialist and OB etc.
I wasnt asked to monitor my ovulation but as I already was my FS was very happy to see I knew what i was doing, he even said he wished he had more women that knew there body so well. I usualy just go by body signs, CM changes and opk's but this time have added temp charting to be more exact.
Did you know there is also an increased risk of multiples with age?!!!

Mary: Hugs to sweet G and her poor little head!
weve been lucky so far here and sometime swonder how shes escaped with the way she runs everywhere!
Aww what a cute show and tell he would have made!

G'day Y'all,
Lost a few days trying to get on top of deadlines.. skiving off tonight.

Tracey -- my bear was a complete out of the blue miracle born a week and a bit after I turned 38...I'd given up, and then the symptoms of being Pg got too hard to ignore. I so didn't want to deal with the pressure for amnio tests, and also so close to full M/C the whole first trimester (spotted for 12 whole weeks) that I didn't even go to a GP to confirm my pregnany until I was just over 12 weeks and the spotting had stopped. I cried in sheer relief and amazement when I saw the ultrasound. decided not to worry about downs or any of that because I just didn't think it was right to poke about at a miracle. and bear is just fine. so hope your little miracle is a good one too!

Tabby -- far as having any more kids goes that would require several orders of miracle, firstly for the good lord to resolve some very crucial shall we say issues my DH has to make it at all likely. as for me, well, bear is as much miracle as I ever wanted, so any more would be like winning lotto twice I guess. I'm pretty content if she's all I have. She's a lot of child! full of beans, never has slept the amount her age is supposed to, into everything, all emotion and motion and words words words.
Hope your endeavours in having more bubs proceed properly.

Everyone else, thanks for the welcome.. I'm probably about due to get back to the work I should be doing tonight. so see you all soon.

Good Morning All.....

Zooy:  I don't know whether to have the amnio / CVS tests... I'm a bit confused. I think the nuchal scan will be the decision maker. I still can't get my head around the fact that I'm going to be a mummy again, it's like a second chance. I still have "everything" that belonged to my angel Tiegan, I didn't part with anything, so at least I have virtually all I need.

Tabby:  I think this pregnancy is very similar to my last, ie early weight gain. I had my first pregnancy at 21, my second at 31 and now my third at 42 so there are huge gaps between each. I had pre-eclampsia with my second and was induced at 37 weeks. Hoping this won't happen again, but time will tell and I'm so much more aware now. Yes I know about the increased multiples with age... geez that would be funny wouldn't it. Do you worry about having a multiple pregnancy due to the Clomid?

Hello cougarmummy! Welcome to our thread!
So nice to have some new faces around here - I do love what had become basically a Gang of Four, but new people are great!!
Trace - well, with a 12 week old little boy its a little too hard to ponder the concept even of having another baby - yet anyway! We shall see! It seems my entire family are against the idea, but they're not the ones who'd be having the bub. There are a few factors to consider - (a) my age (b) my weight - mainly! I need to lose at least 15kg before I'd want to start trying, and more than that needs to go in the long run. Also we'll be going to the UK for a holiday at the end of the year or early in the new year and I'd love not to be in my first trimester. This is going on and on.
Oh, and the other thing, the ttc threads here do my head in, so I don't put it out on bubhub.

Enough on all that.
Both my littlies are napping, thank goodness. They were both up way too early, which seems to be the usual around here these days - early naps are also in order for G especially! T just spends his life eating playing and sleeping anyway!
I really should go and get horizontal myself, my eyes are dropping out of my head and I'm working against not getting a cold.

I can handle it at the moment, its not too bad so hopefully no worse at least for now.
Oh I have degenerative disc disease ( a hereditary disease ), means my spine is like when your 80 and the discs crumble, I already have 3 surgerys and a cage and plate in there over the last 6 years.

anyhow! Not enough to stop me just yet, panadol is still just working taking the edge off.

Hi Vicky - you poor thing. My mother has that and it gives her a lot of pain. She's never had an op because her first specialist told her never to have one and I'm not sure that was a good call.

This is the woman that wanted to drive to QLD and back in 4 days. I love her dearly, but she's an idiot when it comes to her health.

Have you had a look at pain clinics? They are usually attached to large / research hospitals. They might be able to give you a hand. They were very good for my mother.

I spoke to the clinic after posting my last message and they seem rather upbeat because my estrogen levels indicate that there are more follicles than they found. So they will do another scan on Monday and if they can't find any more, send me over to the specialist and he'll do a scan. I might suggest that they put you on staff - if you can find the position of your cervix without medical intervention, I'm sure you can find my secretive follicles - lol.

I think I'll have a little nap. I just made a pizza and ate too many pieces and it's nice and cool here today which is perfect for me to jump into bed. Hope you're feeling better.

Cat: Lol you have sneaky follies??? Im sure they will show them selves and alls good to go !

feeling better today, usualy hits me later as the day progress with usage
Yep, when i had my first surgery i was at the pain clinic as i had a 2 yr wait for surgery! wow longest and most miserable 2 years of my life and on morphine as it was the only thing that worked. Sadly there is not much i could take while ttc and thats my no1 priority so im a strong woman ill wait and see what the year brings.
The surgery for me was the best thing I ever did! The pain before, had i not had children I most likely wouldnt be here now, its was 24hrs a day 7 days a week for 2 years....only time I had relief was zonked off my head on the drugs and then I would sleep it away..anyhow! It all worked out well, ive had 5 years pain free, this is more at the annoying part rather than pain..constant.
Hopefully work stopping soon will give me more leway before need to take that avenue again as its a long recovery road too.

Age gaps..There is 10 yrs between my boys and then 15 years for kate, so ds1 and kate have a 25 yr gap!! But oh gosh does that boy absolutely adore her! they both do.

Hi Tracy, I'm having my 1st u/s on fri. I can't wait! I had my 1st ivf/icsi on 28th of April. We had 2 embies transferred. I still can't believe that I fell pregnant on our 1st attempt as the Dr. said I had a less than 5% chance of conceiving due to my age.. I feel very blessed. My dh is over the moon, as this is his 1st child. I look forward to sharing the journey with you. Cheers,

Hi Vicki,

They found a couple of the sneaky ones, but they are very small so unless they have a bit of a roid rage over the next few days, I doubt they'll be collected.

I'm back again on Wednesday for another scan and a likely egg collection on Friday and presumably a transfer on Tuesday/Wednesday because of the NSW long weekend.

AND back to telling lies at work and trying to remember them !

How are you today?

Hello Ladies,

Not sure if you remember me as it has been awhile since i have been here. I was last here in November but unfortunately i lost the baby and didn't come back despite all the wonderful support i recieved from you ladies, just really didn't feel up to it so i do apologise.

Well i am pregnant again but didn't come back earlier as i didn't want to have to leave again if i loss this one too. But i am happy to say i am 15 weeks on Thursday with a very active little bub. My doctor is very pleased with my progress and calls my baby a miracle baby.

I am pretty sure i have a ticker up of my last pregnancy and i don't know how to get rid of it, so if any of you can tell me how it would be very much appreciated.

Tabby
02-06-2009, 09:47
Surprisebub: I do remember you hun! welcome back, sorry to hear of your loss but am very happy to hear of your new miracle!!!
ticker: you just remove it from your signature on user cp page?
Can I ask..Were both pregnancies natural or assisted?

Cat: I do hope they have a huge growth spurt for you! so even if the sneakys dont grow you have how many and collection goes ahead regardless right?

nothing much here...
4dpo and waiting..waiting...waiting

Tabby thanks for that, have managed to get rid of my old signature, glad i have finally done that, gets a bit depressing to see that i only had 3 weeks to go.

Both of my previous pregnancies and this one were all natural, i don't seem to have any problems falling pregnant, just with the last two the doctor felt that the babies weren't ok and wasn't surprised when i lost both. He is very very pleased with the progress of bump and can't foresee any reason for anything to go wrong. Seems the main problem with falling pregnant was my husband, he has a very low sex drive

But obviously problem is solved now :yelclap:.

So how many dpo are you going to wait before you test (i am gathering that you are also ttc), i waited until 9 dpo, patience is not my best point when ttc lol.

Age Gap: youngest will turn 16 four months after bubs is born.

Ive been fretting a little these last few days if I can do it even with assisted by clomid
They said my ovarian reserve was in no way diminished yet so there is still hope

Well huge congrats - you must so thrilled. My DH and I were looking into IVF and then wham.... we got pregnant all by ourselves which to me feels like a miracle. I honestly thought that I would never get pregnant again due to my age.

Good luck with the scan, :goodvibes:looking forward to hearing all about it. I have my first dating scan on 13 June and then the hospital want to see me for my first appointment at 10 weeks rather than 12 due to my age and past pre-eclampsia, I can't wait :goodvibes:

surprisebub welcome back! Here's to a healthy pregnancy with a wonderful bundle of joy as the end result. I have to say wow at your fertility!! What an inspiration you are to us older mums!!

We have had a good last few days. Yesterday we all went to the Doc's - G just carried on like a cut snake even though she was the only member of the family not being "seen"! Dh and I got our whooping cough vaccinations, and T at long last has had his 8 week jabs. The child officially has a big head, weighs far too much and is getting longer. For some reason our GP didn't write all the figures down for us, but he's put on a kg in a month!
Today I took G to her first Fairy Ballet class, and it was great! She's been dancing around the house for months announcing that she is a "Ballet Girl" so she had a great old time in the toddler dance class! It was so much fun just watching them!
We had a busy weekend, and amazingly after the party we attended on Saturday evening G actually slept in, and T slept through! I did have to attend to G at 5am when she woke up crying but she did go back to sleep. We'd been at a party the night before too and that made not a jot of difference to G's waking up pre-dawn.

Yeah 45 and turning 46 this year :(. I never had any trouble falling pregnant with my first five with my first husband, we would just decide to have another baby and i would fall that week and was breastfeeding full time on each occassion. When i married my second husband and we decided to try for a baby i just wasn't falling pregnant and finally decided to give up after 3 1/2 years of trying. I also was keeping an eye on when i ovulated though, and then i fell pregnant, like i said earlier the problem was the husbands sex drive or rather lack of. Unfortunately lost that baby and then another one in November last year, we decided to give it one more try and two months later i found out i was pregnant. This baby according to my doctor is very healthy and he calls it my miracle baby.

When i lost the first baby he told me that the chances of me falling pregnant again were very slim as i didn't have many follicules left (if memory serves, on one side i had none and only a few on the other). But obviously i had enough, it is good to know that i am an inspiration to us older mums. I feel really good about this pregnancy, and really pleased with myself for getting this far.

As you have probably realised i am sitting here with the biggest grin on my face, and honestly don't give up, if it can happen to me after the doctor told me my chances were slim to none, it can also happen for you too.

Hi Ladies,

Hope you're all well.

Hi Vicki - the little ones are still little, but the others are just right so I'm guessing perhaps 2 or 3 to be collected which is well short of last time, but as I said I'm fairly sure I haven't been properly suppressed and have been merrily ovulating away.

If they are viable and fertilise they will do the transfer on Monday which is surprising because of the public holiday. They are also flying up an embryologist from Canberra because the clinic scientist is on leave. Shows how much padding there is in their fees to do that.

How are you feeling today?

Hi there, I had my first seven children in 14 years. I've never had any trouble conceiving. I had a tubal ligation 7 yrs ago and to cut a long story short, Im now in a new relationship and my dh has no children. I had a tubal ligation reversal but then they found out that dh has a low sperm count. So Ivf was our only option. The doc said that the odds were against us due to my age... He didn't count on how fertile I am! I conceived on the 1st ivf/icsi.. My gran had eight children and she had her last one at the age of 47. So I guess it runs in the family. Now I just have to wait and see if there are one or two babies to look forward to!

Hi there, well she was actually 46 when she conceived.. birthday in April, baby born in November. Poor Gran got such a shock cos she thought she was past it all.. Then again, her mother had 16 children!!! I really believe a positive attitude makes all the difference. My fs told me that I had less than 5% chance of conceiving thru ivf. I can't wait to see him tomorrow for the 7.2 week scan! My hormone levels tripled in two days. I cant remember exactly but the nurse said my progesterone was amazingly high. Tomorrow will tell. I promise to keep you posted. Your little Kaitlyn Jade is gorgeous btw.. Cheers.

Tabby, feeling tired is a good sign, now i thought you were a poas addict, i would have thought you would have tested by now, or are you trying to be good.

Cougarmummy, good to see another one in here who has a lot of children lol, i had my first 5 in 7 years, didn't think i would have anymore until i ended up remarrying, but i made my ex get the snip after the 5 so guess it was good thinking in hindsight. Morrigan welcome to our thread!

All is well here, we spent the day at our niece's 4th birthday and it was a hoot. We were the last to leave but it was just too nice out in their new garden (they moved in at Easter) to go home. G and Rory had a great time playing together once all the other guests had left (about 3 hours before we did) and Toby spent the afternoon smiling and sleeping!
G went to bed promptly but it seems T wants to stay up and chat for a while!
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Hi Vicki - what's your news today?

They transferred two which were a 7 and 8 cell which is good - before I had a 3 and a 4. The remaining one is a 5 and they'll watch it for a couple of days to see what it's up to and then possibly freeze it. Progesterone check on Monday and then pregnancy test a week later regardless of what I think my body is up to.

Back to work tomorrow for two days then off for about ten days. I think I'm completely ruined as a worker now, I never want to go back - lol.

Hello lovelies..sorry been so slack lately.

Hello to all the newbees in here..awesome to have some new preggie 40+ mummies. Congrats to you all and in particular to Surprisemum (missed you girl, sorry to hear of your previous loss).
I'm Amy. I will be 46 on Monday and have four gorgeous children whom I adore..dd22, ds8, dd7, ds 17mths...none really planned, last one a lovely surprise. First dd has just entered her last trimester and is healthy and happy. She is having a boy and I will be there when she delivers..woohoo!

Hello Cat and Mary and Vicki:hugs:..glad to hear all is well and :fingerscrossed: there will be some more pregnancies announced in the coming weeks.

Not much going on here. Definitely hoping I don't fall pg again..lol. I am too tired as it is.
Dane has started taking four to six steps at a time..dang that boy is lazy..but he's getting there thankfully. Everyone else is well.

Got a new smart phone today as I lost my previous mobile at footy training a few weeks ago. Pity the new phone doesn't have such a smart owner though..lol..I had to get them to email me the full instructions as I didn't even know how long to charge the darned thing! It will be ready to use later this evening..can't wait to play around with it.

That's about it..gotta dash..Dane has just woken and I have to call Brittany back. Looks like she will be coming down to visit in the next few weeks:yelclap:.

Hugs to all.

Hi Ladies, hope you're well.

Vicki - it might just be the cold ! We're having 14 degs here tomorrow so it will be a bit chilly. How's your temp / cervix - lol.

The 7 and 8 just means that the cells are dividing properly - implantation is the issue. One problem with me is too much research. I recently found that only 1 in 10 IVF transfers 'stick' so the odds aren't spectacular.

Hi Amy - lovely to hear from you. It sounds like Brittany is going well. Is she in Mt Isa or Roma? I can't remember. Has Dane finished teething?

YAY Amy!!!! Well done little man! :yelclap:

Thanks ladies, am a bit better today, trying to stay positive.

Think am having a bad week and this was the topper
Found out the 2 sil's and mil all went out together over the weekend for a girly shop and lunch and i never even got invited so am feeling quite out of it and hurt. I told them ages ago when they did it before how I was hurt and would have loved to have gone but then they did it again...Was very angry then came down to cry
Mil hasnt even bothered to ask how its all going re: baby..
Was so hoping a lovely bfp to make things beautiful again but when got my negative I was more upset than usual by it
Easy to say forget about them their loss etc but still hurts

Decided will do the 100 again then head back to him if that doesnt work and ask for IUI

Vicki - sounds like your hormones are racing, you poor thing. Lets hope its really the ones you want! Sorry to hear that your MIL etc had the lunch out without including you. I never got to have anything like that with mine, she was always too frail and our time together was always with all of us all the time of course. Us being me and dh to start then G on the last 3 visits. Lots of lunches out but never just the girls.
Amy - love the vid, you must be pleased to have him on his feet! Won't be long and you'll be chasing him everywhere.
Toby-tob is just lovely. He has just stopped grumbling away in bed, he doesn't want to settle much in the early evening these days it seems. But last night he slept through from 9-ish to 7am, so apart from getting up and having a quick express at 5 I slept through too! Genevieve seems to be getting better with her wake-up time, quarter to 7 is so much more humane than 5.30 - and that was happening whatever time she was going to sleep.
She is too funny - when we drive down to the gym (we really should walk!) she always asks "Where are the boys?" as we go past some playing fields. Today she was really excited as there were lots!!
We had a carpenter come over to quote for fixing up our sash windows and she was telling him all her usual conversation starters!! "I'm two" "My birthday is in January, I'll have a party after that its Daddy's birthday", "We went on holidays" "I have a slide" "Do you want to see my groceries?" (new plastic grocery set she got last week!) - all too funny really! Oh yes, and the carpenter needed to look at the windows in our bedroom - where Toby was asleep. Toby just opened his eyes, smiled at all of us and went straight back to sleep - perfect baby or what??

Hi Vicki,

I've just been looking at organising my first acupuncture appointment (thank you Mary) and started doing a little research and came across a paper that shows in its study that: Acupuncture increased the clinical odds of achieving a pregnancy by 65%.

So, as I think I'm in the process of losing my house guests (I have period cramps) I think you and I should go on the pin cushion adventure together - what do you think?

Cat

14-06-2009, 20:22
Cat - before T came and I had to see another therapist for a few treatments she was telling me about a place in the city that offers 24hr acupuncture services for IVF women so that they can be treated straight after the IVF at any time. I was a bit hopeless with going back to Naomi after falling pg, when I did she said I should've come back asap to help it stick!
But I suppose you know all this story anyway.
I hope you're not actually losing your houseguests, one annoying characteristic of early pg is feeling like you're getting your period.
Hugs to you x

Hello Ladies, just on another procrastination break...

Hi Mary - you're right about the hours of some of these places and I laughed when I went past Queen Street this morning, thinking I'd never get a parking spot to see Naomi.

I've found one in the same building as the clinic and they do a "double appointment" on the transfer day (wish I'd found it a week ago). One session before the transfer and one immediately after. How are the kidlets and DH?

Hi Vicki - maybe Chinese herbs are effective and less costly than acupuncture. Don't know anything about them, but could be worth investigating. How are you feeling today?

As they say the longest journey begins with a single step. Well I've taken step one with my progesterone. They are after levels higher than 30 and I am 44. Still don't like the twinges, but hopefully nothing will go bung and I'm back on Monday for a pregnancy test.

So the house guests are still visiting and hopefully feeling quite comfy. I knew having a chat to God last night would be worthwhile...

Back to the evil stats. Shame I'm in day dream mode.

Cat - it all sounds promising with your levels. The acupuncturists in the same building as the clinic sound like the go - though this time of course your houseguests are staying! But I think it can help make sure they last the entire distance as well! But you know me and the needles and pins!

I have been spending far too much time mucking around on the net today I think. Both the kids went to sleep at exactly the same time for their naps - and have stayed that way. I need to get things organised for G's swimming class this afternoon, best to do it whilst the place is quiet.

Hope all is well with all of you, especially those with precious cargo onboard that haven't posted for a while!

Hi Ladies, hope you're all well.

Just a quick update, the twins have gone. My period arrived this morning and I'm undecided whether to bother with the blood test on Monday morning.

Back to homework so I'll catch up with you later.

Ciao

Oh Cat, hun am so sorry to see that
Was it hcg only for bloods or other as well?
Maybe some insight into why is involved in more bloods?
Wondering what happens when only one implants and other doesnt? Do you get AF and still carry the other??
Maybe do the bloods to see?
Massive hugs sweety :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Hi Vicki,

Being quite ignorant about this adventure, I know it was a pregnancy test on Monday so perhaps testing for hcg levels? Not really sure.

You can lose one and keep the other, but I'm not feeling very confident about that. I've just had a severe lecture from a girlfriend about attending on Monday, so I will (she's brutal).

It wasn't a good week to be nurturing visitors anyway. I've taken up smoking again with a vengence, drinking buckets loads of coffee, sleeping very badly and feeling really stressed about my exam. All I want now is a chocolate, but I've decided it's too cold to go and get one. The good news is I've found some cocoa in the fridge.

And as I don't have anything on ice, I'm cranky that it was a very fast way to lose $6K with nothing to show for it.

Any hoo, there's only so much whinging I can do in one session. Off to do some more homework and then settle down at 7.00 for Masterchef.

Take care and thanks!!!

Cat - sweet, I think Vicki just covered my sentiments also.
Can I just add my plug for the needles and pins - it can make all the difference, especially if you are stressed about other things as well. Go and see someone asap and get those eggs and whatever else in tiptop condition. Please please please! Then the next $6K will be your last in the IVF world!
Hugs and hugs and hugs x
Oh and can I just say, you're destined to be pg if you add a great big night on the grog to your list of things you've done wrong!!

Thanks Vicki and Mary. I'm not really down because I didn't really feel connected to it. I know that's an odd thing to say, but I can't really get excited about anything until it progresses further than it has in the past.

I must also say that $6K is the initial outlay - I get some back from Medicare and my health fund.

Mary - I plan to have an enormous hangover on Sunday morning. I also intend to have an HUGE proper home cooked meal and clean this brothel of a house. I've turned into a frat boy again.

I laughed when I saw your grog suggestion, I've just been looking at a "beer-goggles" study. I must say that I was surprised to see that men after 6 drinks suffer from it significantly more than women after 6 drinks. I thought it would be relatively even. God knows when I've worn my googles, I've kissed some spectacular frogs!

One of the things that this acupunture place looks at is Cat-specific! lol. They look at a lot of things for male and female infertility, but can specifically address my problem which is not hanging onto the embroys long enough for them to implant, so I'm a bit excited about that.

Vicki - that's awful about your American friend. Will she try again? And why are you so happy, happy today?

Am knackered! Had a few long days this week at work which is great cos I need the $.

Cat: :hugs: sorry about the nasty AF witch. It's hard enough month to month when you are trying naturally but I guess a bitter blow when you are paying for it. I wish everyone who wanted a bub could simply have one.
My brother has finally found a girlfriend. She and her ex-husband tried IVF for a dozen or so years but to no avail. My brother has always been super keen to have a family but it hasn't happened for him either, mainly due to a lack of females out when the Air Force keep sticking him. I am praying a miracle occurs with the two of them and that the chemistry is just perfect at least one time. They are both in their late 40's.
I hope you get a miracle on Monday too lovely.

Tabby: I can only imagine what a harsh blow that was to your friend.
How are you going in your ttc journey? What happens next?
Katie looks so cute behind those bars..lol.

Mary: It sounds like you are onto a good thing getting synchronised sleeps. I know it made my life a dream when Selia and Lachlan were little. Nice to have a few hours to lolligag about online or have a nap yourself.
Have you got any updated pics of the kids to share?
How is your hubby since all the recent upheaval?

Dane had his 18mth checkup yesterday and apparently is a blind ,deaf gimp :o. Well perhaps she didn't exactly imply that but she did pick up on his left foot rolling in slightly, so off to physio clinic next week. A slightly turned eye (I couldn't see it personally..but..)..so booked next avail appt with Orthoptist - September. She also said that his speech was delayed. He should have at least 18words under his belt and be adding a new one each day at this age:rolleyes:..that sure ain't happening. So she said to keep an eye on it over the next few months and if he doesn't get chatty I should take him for a hearing test, suggesting the multiple bouts of bronchiolitis could have damaged his hearing. Oi vay! It never rains but it pours. I forgot to tell her that he has no trouble hearing the music for the Teletubbies..he comes a running when he hears that http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/Amypen...81765008855394 (http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/Amypendragon/AmySPublicAlbum?authkey=TbxMpDl92t4#53469817650088 55394)

His 18mth stats were good. He was almost on the 10kg mark so we called it that..and he was 83cms.

She then took me to have a little chat about PND with an intake nurse. Nice lady. Long and short is I am tired of dealing or not dealing with it as the case may be..so off to the Dr on Monday for some Zoloft therapy.

Good stuff coming next week..Brittany on Monday night and my dad earlier in the day. Got a whole week of them which will be fabulous.

Off into the day.
Hugs to everyone. Hope you are all well.

Amy:)

Amy - I did laugh at the speed at which Dane heads towards the Teletubbies!! We keep on having to tell G that the tele is broken (ie off at the powerpoint) otherwise she would be watching it all day! I think it is time for a set top box though, I'd love to be able to "fix" the tele for ABC Kids at other times.
Bring Dane up here, G would have him talking in no time!! She talks the leg off a chair these days!
It sounds that what ails the little darling will all be fixed with time.
Good news for your brother - I hope the "chemistry" is right between him and his new woman - on all levels!
Cat hope you're feeling okay my dear.

Well, we are all fine. I realised this morning when T was on second breakfast at 6.30 that he is going to be a big boy, destined to be eating 16 weetbix a day like his uncle Nick in his teens!
Genevieve found a pair of high heeled flamenco dance shoes in her wardrobe this morning and is in heaven! Nothing so funny to watch as a toddler in highheels - she loves them! She did fairy ballet again this week - and had to join in the jazz and tap class beforehand - I'm trying to just keep it to the one class though - all a bit too much I think to be doing two classes at the grand age of 2.
I went back to weight watchers last week, and lost 1.4kg! A good start I think!! There's a lot more to go - but I was pleased with my self!

Hi Ladies,

Hi Amy - lots of fingers crossed for your brother's new romance and possible kidlets. That would be magic.

Sorry to hear about Dane's news, but the Teletubby music suggests that hearing won't be an issue! Hopefully, the other things they raised will be mild or just demonstrate he's a little leisurely.

How did you go with the doctor? It's good that finally someone is coming up with practical solutions for you. Hope it went well.

Has your father seen the chubby version of Brittany before???

Hi Mary - you can't beat a child in high heels! Congratulations with WW, that's a brilliant start. I've put on 4 kilos in recent times. Probably not helped by having M&Ms for lunch and rubbishy dinners for the last few weeks. What time is Toby's first breakfast!

Hi Vicki - what's your news and what's next on the agenda? I've never seen High 5, but have seen Dorothy. Whoever is in that suit dancing, must be the size of a whippet. I was sweating just watching her jump around.

I'm shooting up QLD for the weekend which should be fun. I'd really like to win a chunk of the big lotto prize tonight - probably may not come back!

Ciao for now.

LOL Oh my gosh Amy, He came so fast!!! hahha so cute and funny
I agree, he doesnt seem to have trouble hearing that lol
ds1 was a late talker, hes always been the quiet type in many ways and he came to it in his own time
Personally I think they put too much emphasis on when baby should do this and do that..
Its good to get checked but if nothings wrong then am sure he will just be the casual take it easy type heh

Cat: arghhh am so bloody frustrated
Appears ive not ovulated yet and and cd40+!
Last cycle was cd44ish..
Im going to go back to fs in about 2 weeks if nothing happens and ask for next step and maybe suggest a trigger shot as i keep trying to Ovulate but just not quite happening

Here! Just not a lot of news really!
All is well, have had a lovely weekend. T is wonderful and so is G! Went down to my parents to stay last night which was fine. G managed to sleep through even though she did wake extremely early, spent the first hour with her back in her bed singing to her, as you. T decided to almost sleep through, which was lovely except I should've gotten up to express, not used to not feeding thats for sure.
We bought a stack of new luggage today which was good. We're off to Cairns next Saturday and for once all our wheelie bags will wheel!

Hi Ladies,

Just had a gorgeous 22 degs at the Gold Coast today and have finished stuffing our faces with prawns and bugs bought straight off the trawlers. Add 2 bottles of wine and a mud cake and we're all a bit stuffed and trying to stay awake for Miss Marple. I think I'll last about 15 mins.

How is everyone?
