10 month old DS wakes up at leat 2 times a night still. I'm not sure if he just wakes and then needs the bottle to get back to sleep or if he is actually hungry. Should I just try and settle him back to sleep without the bottle or just give it to him if it makes him happy? I thought maybe if I weaned him off it during the night he might start to sleep through:smiliedance:
Hi Caitlin's Mum
I stopped night feed once both DDs were about 7 months old. This coincided with me weaning from BF and them having half BF, half formula. They had been on solids from 4 and 5 months respectively. I had no problems settling them w/o a feed, so I guess they were not hungry.
As for sleeping through...there's often other reasons to wake too hot/cold/teething/sick...:ecomcity:

hello!
My daughter is 7 months and for the last few weeks i have cut out her night bottle. She was waking at 3 but i didnt think it was because of hunger... just routine so i decide just to try and settle her with the dummy and not give her the bottle. the first few nights were a lil hard to settle her down but after that she was fine. she is now sleeping thre the night yay!:smiliedance:
