My 3.5 month old son had a very unsettled day & night last night where he would cry (a lot :( ) and nothing seemed to settle him. He cried so much that his face went red and he seemed to gasp for air as he couldn't stop crying.

A friend suggested that he may be teething as he has been very drooly lately. I didn't think that he would be teething this early .

What do you think? Could he be teething?

hi angela

i have a 3 month old and he has started teething aswell and i have brought a teething ring that is suitable from birth that you can put in the fridge and he loves it i just hold it on his gums i think it is a sassy brand from target and when he is really bad i give him a dose of panadol and that seems to stop the pain ok hope this information was useful
hope your little one settles for u

My 3mo is going through exactly the same signs as yours is dna13. She gets totally inconsolable. It takes a long time to settle her. I too have a water filled teething ring that seems to help and Panadol seems to take the edge off her pain as well.

It could be teething and all of the suggestions given are good, but don't be fooled by the drool - that has more to do with the fact that he is too young to swallow it and will happen even when he is not teething. So if teeth don't appear in the next week or so, don't panic - he may have just been having an off day, and giving him a teething ring or panadol won't have hurt him at all.
