Ok, Hayley's kinder is doing a little end of term party and everyone has to bring a plate of food to share. I don't really know what to do though and its tomorrow  (I have a habit of leaving things 'til the last minute :o). I was thinking maybe fairy bread or cheese and vegemite sandwiches but rolled up (I dunno what they're called :o) or getting some biscuits and making some coloured icing and adding sprinkles or smarties. I am not very good at making things but if anyone has any simple recipes or ideas please let me know.
BTW: No nuts, eggs or cream products.
Thankyou.

Have you got a melon baller? You could get some toothpicks and make "traffic lights" canteloupe/honeydew/watermelon.

Honey Crackles are a winner with my kids:
90g of butter
1/3 cup of sugar
1 tbspn of honey
4 cups of corn flakes.
put butter, sugar and honey in a pan and heat them until frothy
Pour this over CFs and mix it all together.
Put the mixture into patty pans and cook for 10mins at 150C

Thankyou for your suggestions girls. I have decided to decorate some Marie biscuits with coloured icing, smarties and those little ball thingys (they sort of look like small pearls) I have Skye's 2nd birthday next month so I'll come back to this thread to look at ideas.

Just for next time, make vegemite/honey/cream cheese sandwiches and then use a cutter to cut out shapes like stars, teddy bears etc.
You can do it with fruit too.
makes really simple food fun
