Hails started a thread in the When are you Due... there is a link in the other thread we were using...
I'm still here. Haven't had much chance to catch up lately but I am still around. I will make more effort to get on here at least once a day even if its just for a quick hello.
Charlotte is getting ready for feral 3 o'clock so I must dash but I will be back later.
I still love the April Mummies xo

Hey.
How is everybody?
Things are going well here.
Ryder is asleep on the couch as i'm typing (so i'm making the most of my free time:p)
Is anybody letting their child have chocolate at easter. I haven't really tried chocolate with Ryder and I'm a bit unsure about whether I should or not.
His birthday party is on Easter Sunday (he's actually birth date is Easter Monday), and i'm pretty sure that their will be chocolate some what involved.
For his birthday cake i've settled on a Vanilla Buttercake with Blue Butter icing.
I tested out the recipe earlier on this week and it was a huge hit with the family so it's a big
anyway, gotta go do some housework before Rydes wakes up.

Hey guys jusr a quickie to say hi and
happybirthday to all the April bubbas.
Charllette was 1 on the 26th March. We just had a webber roast with some friends and I made her a cake. We tend to make more of a big deal for their 2nd birthday cause they enjoy it then. Will post some pick when I get all the photos of my friends camera. Mine was flat.

Thanks sweet. I would like to say it's all good and I'm over it but I'm not. Everytime I hear October mentioned I get sad. A girl I know is due on the 1st. So when she has her baby I am gonne be devestated.
Good Morning Mummies,
Ok so I failed on my promise to get here daily. Yesterday was FLAT OUT!! I had a job interview in town which meant getting Charlotte organised and then trying to work out the bus system.
So yeah. I am leaving Just Jeans and getting ready to return to the workforce full time. I think both Charli and I are ready for it. We have found a wonderful daycare/learning centre. We are not planning on any more kiddies in the near future and deep down in there somewhere I think I miss working....well kinda.
Bex - :hugs: to you hunni. I wish I could say something to make the pain easier.
S&R - Wow your moving to Qld. That must be exciting. I am so glad that you are going somewhere that there will be family to give you support! I hope the move goes well.
Hails - Yay for the arrival of AF. :babydust2: sending lots of baby making dust your way. As for Easter we have bought Charlotte a whole lot of Beatrix Potter books and just a small kinder suprise egg thing. Lots of people fed Charli sugary foods at her party (without me knowing) and she had a real upset tummy for a few days after:shame:.
Meggs - Good morning hunni. How is little Miss Em today? U must be so excited about your trip now...I'm not jealous much :D
Well today I am off to battle the food shops...Did I mention I hate food shopping with a passion haha. Then to clean the house. Honestly I swear I clean the house everyday but everyday it looks like a bomb has exploded in it...I think my cleaning faries have forgotten where I live.
Ok enough of my rambling. I hope everyone has a beautiful day. :sunshine:

I think tomorrow we are going to go shopping for Ryder's birthday Present.
A few music dvd's should do the trick. He looooves music, likes to bounce up and down to the beat and clap his hands. We have a great time dancing around the lounge room:laughing:
I know my mum will feed him sugary stuff without even asking so at his birthday party the only sugary stuff i'm providing is Ryder's birthday cake that I'm making (so I know exactly what goes in it).
I'm not too keen on giving him chocolate just yet, i mean maybe a taste won't hurt him but he's only one and doesn't really need it.
LILMRSC - :fingerscrossed: For your job interview. How do you feel you went?
I was going to go back to work but there are limited opportunities where I live and the only place that was advertising was for Saturdays and Sundays every week, all day.
I wan't to still spend family time together when DH has the weekends off so it's no good for us.
BEX - Oh hun I am so sorry for your loss:hugs: I had no idea you were expecting but it doesn't make the shock any less.
You have every right to still be saddened by your loss. There is no time limit on how long it takes to heal.
My thoughts are with you and your family.
2 CHERUBS - Thats a great idea. I will try and put some time aside today to put my collage together
SETHANDRUBY'S MUM - I did set a new thread up during the last week of March in the "due thread". You actually wrote on it:p
It was my first time and I didn't even think to look down further for the birth groups:o. Oh well, I'll know next time.
I've left a link in that one leading to here, so hopefully we can get a few more back to talk.
Are you moving in with the in-laws or do you have your own place to move to?
Good luck to you during the move!!
MEGGS - Not long now! I've never been overseas, my best friend went to Canada 2 years ago and he almost didnt' come home he loved it that much!

 see my heads not even in the same place.
2 cherubs - gorgeous babe there
lilmrsc - yup cant wait
hayley - moving with the inlaws but should be good.
Hellooo :)
Another irregular poster here.
Glad to hear most of you are doing well.
Bex, it takes time to get over your loss if at all. I felt the same way when we were ttc for ages and everyone around us seemed to be falling pregnant or having babies all the time. It is gutting to know that it should have been you. I wish you were still in October with me. Your time will come again hun, please dont be too sad :hugs:
S&Rmum - Yay for moving. Just keep reminding yourself that it is a temporary situation with your family and in only a short time you will be 2 whole states away from the drama, wahoo!
Hails - Dancing around the living room sounds so cute! Ryder sounds like he has such a little personality.
LilMrsC - good luck job hunting. Do you have anything in particular in mind?
2 Cherubs - Have you changed your name? I cant for the life of me remember seeing your username before lol. I do however remember Abbeys face. She is gorgeous :)
Meggs - How are you doing lovely? The clock is ticking on the countdown for your trip. Is little Em feeling better?
AFM - I have been pretty sick this week. I had a bit of a belly bug, ick! Poppy also picked up something from Lollipops on Friday and has been unwell this week as well. We are both coming good now though :)
I have had a super productive morning today. I went out to get the last few things for Poppy's birthday present (except for her trike), got mums birthday present and got the shopping done. Now I can relax for a couple of hours while Poppy has her sleep. All is good in the world lol.
My lunch smells ready, wedges mmmm. I will check in hopefully on Monday. We have mum's 50th party tomorrow then are off down the coast on sunday, so a busy weekend!
Have a good afternoon ladies.
Ang xx
Hey guys.
Thanks for your support :hugs:.
Agrog- I wish I had a productive day but as usual I have a million and one reason and excuses and it never happened. lol
Hails- Good plan on the Birthday thing. I brought Charllette easter eggs. Having 2 older brothers she wants everything they have and even if I didn get her any the boys would give her some anyway. Might as well just cut out the middle man LOL. Plus if I have a stash for her and her alone I can monitor how much she has and when.
Lil miss Charllette can make it about a metre walking now before she falls on her bum lol.
LilMrsC- Im with you on the food shopping it sucks. Especially when by the time I get the 3 kids in the trolley so I know where they are theirs not much room for food LOL.

I nearly had a heart attack!!! Luckily she is a profficient climber lol...hope he learned his lesson!! OH and yes very excited 4 weeks now til we go cant wait Im so over being here and no social life will be awesome!!!!
S&RMum - have you decided when you are going to QLD?
Well not sure what our weekend has in store were thinking of swimming now em is better it is still really hot here feels hotter than jan/feb and it is meant to be cooling down!
Anyway talk soon

Hello Beautiful Mummies,
Well I have big plans to get a lot achieved today...so far its going ok. We took Charlotte to her swimming lessons this morning and she did really well. I have just send DH off to the recycling depo to get rid of all the bottles from last weekend and I have polished, vaccumed and mopped my lounge. But already I am bored .
Meggs - Em sounds very similar to Charlotte. She cant walk yet but climbs everything...nothing is unclimbable according to Charlotte. Had a few near heart attacks myself with the climbing.
2 Cherubs - Lovely to see you back. The photos are gorgeous.
Bex - I cant even begin to imagine what it would be like to shop with 3 kids...shopping with Charlotte feels like a military operation as it is.
Ang - I think I want to go back to some kind of admin/reception kinda role. Something where I need to do my job and then just come home. Its hard to find much at the moment though..there is a serious job shortage in Adelaide. I hope you have a fab time at your mum's 50th.
Hails - Ryder sounds adorable. I love the pics on Facebook. I loved the bit about him dancing to the music.
Ok I probably should get back to my productive morning.
I hope everyone has a fab weekend. :flowerz:

Hello Everyone,
Don't know if you remember me, I havent been on here for about six months I think.
Was just thinking that all our babies are turning one this month. Cruz was one last Friday and we had the whole family over for a barbie and a big chocolate teddy bear cake.
The year has flown by so quick for me! Quick update - still breastfeeding (all night), co-sleeping with Cruz in a king single (I might get about 20 minutes in my own bed each night if I'm lucky) but this is what's working for us at the moment. Terribly sleep deprived. Cruz isn't walking yet, but pulling himself up, walking around furniture, etc. Eight teeth and continuously teething and having middle ear infections.
I have gone back to work - 2 x 4 hours shifts per week at the Mercy a week, so not too much and I love being there. Been back about 5 months now. The extra cash really helps with the budget!
Anyway, thats just a slight bit of whats going on here. I will try to catch up on what everyones up to and see who still comes on here to chat.
Cheers and Happy 1st Birthday to all the bubbas.

Hi!
We went shopping yesterday for Ryder's first birthday.
He got POSTMAN PAT, BANANA'S IN PYJAMAS, WIGGLES and SESAME STREET dvd's. As i've said previously, he absolutely loves music and to dance so he can dance as much as his little heart contents.
Ryder can now say "mum" and "Bub" and sort of 'yum". (I think it's yum, he always says it at the right time so it's a high possibility:D).
He can't or wont say "dad" yet which annoys DH.
We had a shocking night with him last night. I think he had a really bad dream because he ended up waking up at 11:00pm and it took ages to settle him back down again which is highly unusual. He ended up spending the rest of the night in our bed tossing and turning and whimpering every now and then.
Poor little guy!
Ryder no longer walks like a drunk (he hasn't for a month or so now).
He looks like a proper little toddler. We were actually at Hungry Jacks yesterday and I had him chasing me in the playground and a lady asked how old he was.
I said that he turns one next week and she couldn't believe it. She thought he was about 19 months!
It really has been an absolutely amazing year!
I really can't wait to do it all over again.
happybirthdayTO CRUZ!!!!!!!!!!!!! (for last week)
Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.
Charlotte and I just got back from her little friend Jacob's first birthday party. It was lovely. Dh is out and about wine tasting in the Adelaide Hills (its a hard life for some) so I am gunna have a bit of mummy time this afternoon while Charlotte is down for her nap.
Hails - It must have been the night for shocking nights last night. Charlotte was up from 1am til just after 4am...she had no interest what so ever of going back to bed...by 3am I was :hair:...Hopefully tonight our darling little kiddies will sleep better for us.
JJ7 - Lovely to see you back around. Its always nice to hear how the other April mummies are going. happybirthday to Cruz for last week.
S&R - Just after I typed my post yesterday Charlotte took her first steps haha. So I now have a baby attempting to walk.:smiliedance: Having said that I am in no rush for her to be completely walking...she already tires me out.
CK - Lovely to see you around again. I too will jump on the I love cake bandwagon. I love all types of cake and could eat it all day.
Meggs - I am with you...Bring On the Long Weekend. I cant wait. Coz I have been working in retail I havent had many weekends with the family so it'll be nice to all be together for 4 days.
Well I am gunna go curl up on the couch and watch some tv. Its raining here today so its a good t.v watching day.
:hugs: to everyone.

Hi lovelies! I had babies birthday party yesterday even though it's not til next weekend.
Had a massive turnout, heaps and heaps and heaps of food. I made chocolate crackles, honey joys, mars bar slice, lemon slice, baby quiches (two types), beef & burgendy pies. Also had the usual bbq stuff, salads, party pies and sausage rolls, 3 cakes and babies cake was beeeeautiful! I made her a cake but I also bought her the most beatiful cake from this amazing cake shop here, bit expensive but worth every cent and soooo yummy!
She was so good all day, she's so confident and happy and there were no tears and she even had a bit sleep for me before the party started.
I bought her a gorgeous Princess Ratbag pettiskirt (thanks VICKI !!) and she wore that and little slip on vollies and one of those Cotton On slinglets with spots and angel wings. She looked adorable. She's so tall - she's as tall as a two year old! When I have been telling people it's her birthday they're not sure what age to guess and I have to say - she's going to be one! hahahaha ...
Anyhoo - just wanted to pop in and say happy birthday to all our beautiful babies.
I can't believe they are all turning one. One week to go and my baby will be a toddler!
Oh and she added a new word to her vocab today - the cat's name - hahahaha. Yesterday her new word was 'nana'! I swear she gets a new one today.
One last thing - we went and had our modelling shots taken today for the agency.
Did a Coles ad last week, look out for us, baby is in it too! hahahaha :laughing:
Good morning!!!
Wow I missed some chatting...
CK - happybirthday to Millie for wed and enjoy eating all that cake:)
LilMrsC - haha it is funny how you said Charlotte wasnt walking then i see the video lol way to go Charli!!!!! Hope you got some more sleep last night...
PR - yay you are here!!! Love all the piccies of the party!!make surre you pop in more often...
JJ7 - I was wondering where you were too!happybirthday to Cruz for last week...sounds like a little champ!
Hails - How is your lower back issue? That's awesome that Ryder is so confident walking now!!! Hope last night was better for sleep!
Well i dont know about anyone else but Im sure looking forward to the long weekend and not just cause it is DD's birthday Im looking forward to seeing my husband lol his work hours really suck so 4 days will be nice other than Christmas we havent had even two days together for a long time...
Only three weeks til we are in Sydney and then onto Canada cant wait!!!!

MEGGS - My tailbone is actually pretty good now (thanks for asking).
Every now and then I get a twinge but it's no way near as bad as it was a few weeks ago.
Last night was a little bit better. I think it may be because of the end of daylight savings. It's stuff up his clock and he now wants to be up and about at 5:00am (thinking it's 6:00am).
It's only 8:30 and we've already had a sooky start to the day. I think he has more teeth coming through.
I'm also very excited about this coming weekend but more so because it's Ryder's Birthday.
I'm looking forward to catching up with everybody and having a nice relaxing bbq.
:fingerscrossed:The weather stays good for Sunday!
Not much to report on. I've been having some pretty vivid dreams of late (highly unusual). I'm also feeling super positive that i will be getting my big :bfp: within the next month or so.
(I still think April will be the month for me!!)
Good Morning Girls,
Hope everyone had a lovely relaxing weekend.
Hails - I have my :fingerscrossed: for you that you get BFP this month. I think your positive thoughts and attitude mean you will get your wish.
Meggs - Miss Charli slept so much better last night...infact she is still asleep now...I will wake her up at 8:30 and then she would have slept from 8:30 - 8:30 :smiliedance:. I am super excited about this long weekend.
PR - Oh I cant wait to get my coles junk mail. Will be keeping a close eye out for you and bubba. Sounds like little lady had a fab birthday weekend.
Well no big plans for us today. We have a lot to do around the house (like sorting the 400 photos I just had printed of Miss C).
I hope everyone is well. Have a lovely day :sunshine:

I thought I would pop in and say hi to all the lovely mothers & bubs who are still following this thread.
I can't believe how big the April bubs are now and so clever! My baby is now a toddler. She has that funny nappy walk when you look from the back.
We had a ball with the Brissie mums at lollipops the other week.
Ang- Paige also ended up sick on the Sunday and had to have a few days at home.
We picked up a kids couch/arm chair on the weekend for Paige's birthday from Grandma & Grandpa. It is so cute.
Yay for the long weekend! I hope everyone has a good time with their parties.

Hi all - just wanted to wish everyone a happy easter for this weekend. Enjoy all those easter egg hunts and chocolate grins coming your way! (I love setting up easter egg hunts:D).
We've had such a big month. Already held 2 parties and now easter. On top of that (shhhhhh - don't jinx it) looks like we might have sold our house!!!!!!!!! The buyers only have pre-approval from their bank so we have to wait for final word before we get excited. Then comes all the fun of shoppping for a new one. Nothing like shopping on that scale!! (of cause that will be followed by the delight of packing the house & moving.........but I'm just going to deny that for a long as possible).
Georgie had a great 1st b'day party. Her actual b'day in on Thursday. For those of you with non walking bubs - Georgie is the same. She walks around furniture and craws like a mad woman - but is not even close to taking to her feet yet. She will when she does - but it will be nice when she can follow her sisters outside.
Been loving seeing all the b'day pics on fb. This year has gone so quickly - it find it hard to believe we all have one year olds!
JJ7 - great to hear from you. Wow 5 kids and work - your a supermum indeed. Glad ur enjoying it. You need a fb page - so we can check up on you
Oppps gunna have to run - :hugs: to everyone and happy easter...... screaming kids
Good Morning everyone:wave:
sorry I havent posted for a couple of days, i wrote one the other day and the stupid net cut out so it didnt post and was too exhausted to write it again! It is great to see more people posting too:)
SSU - :smiliedance: im going to get excited for you im so happy it is finally happening!!!! Happy easter to you and the girls too
mum2snuggle - i loved looking at the photos from the lollipops party looked like so much fun!!!!
S&Rmum- happybirthday to Ruby too for yesteray... hope it was a wonderful day and only 2 sleeps til you leave!!!! yeah i cant wait for our holiday long overdue thats for sure and i cant wait for em to meet her grandpa and aunt!!! no probs with passport in the end found a photo place and just had to hold her on the seat and only took 2 weeks to come through...
Hails - hope everything is ok? Glad you are feeling better:)
LilMrsC - how did your interview go?
AFM - for some reason have been really exhausted and emotionally down this week, emmy being grumpy and stuff hasnt helped am feeling better today knowing DH has the next 4 days off to help me get some rest, his 11-12hr days really take a toll on me... i think loneliness has really hit me too, i dont really have anyone to just hang out with and makes me a bit sad makes me more homesick too for all my friends and family but anyway sorry for the whinge haha....
What is everyone doing for Easter? Other than emmy's birthday Sat we dont have much planned just packing and getting organised....

MEGGS - Enjoy these next few days with your DH. Try and sleep as much as you can!!
Homesickness is the worst. I go through periods where I miss my home (Cairns) so much that I dream about it at night and wake up missing it so much more.
Sure my family is down here, but most of my life was spent in Cairns and it holds such close sentimental value to me. It's my one place in the world where I never want more then what i've got (if that makes any sense??)
SILLYSIDEUP - Ooh my fingers are crossed for the you know what:fingerscrossed: (i'm not saying it so I don't jinx it for you).
Let us know how you go.
I can't wait to have Ryder old enough to do a proper Easter Egg Hunt. I had the best time doing it when I was young. (although in saying that he's growing up way too fast for me as it is).
I'm guessing an early morning is in the works for Sunday???:p
Easter Bunny better not disappoint!!
SETHANDRUBY'S MUM - He's incredible on his feet! I'm amazed at how well he goes. He can run pretty fast and is starting to jump with more confidence. He can get some momentum going thats for sure!
Are you all set for your big move? The girls in Brissie will have to throw you a welcome party!!
MUM2SNUGGLEBUG - Those kid arm chairs are so adorable.
I'm so jealous about the lollipops parties. We have nothing like that down here (I live in a tiny country town). We dont' have a kid's'r'us or anything!
LILMRSC - Thanks for your well wishes. Will hopefully have some great news to share by early next month.
I'm officially starting playgroud as of the first week back next term. I was scared of going alone but I've recently found out that some old friends go so I'm going to meet them there.
Ryder just loves playing with other kids so i'm sure he will have a blast.
Ryder is now down to two bottles a day of real milk (the pura kids milk available at the supermarket). He doesn't tend to mind the change from formula too much. It's only been one day so it's only early days.
He's going through a Grizzle stage where he just sits on the floor, playing with his toys and grizzles for what seems like hours.
There's no reason for it, he's not wet, dirty, hungry or thirsty, he just does it.
It's super annoying:o
I think he just likes making the noise to be honest.

Yay - happy easter!!!! Enjoy those chocky grins and kisses and messy sticky fingers .
Happy B'day Ruby.............wahoo another one joins the onesies!
Hails - maybe it's those horrible teeth moving around in his gums. Georgie is such a placid little thing - but we have a day every now and then when she is the same - and that's what I put it down to. Hugs for Ryder - hope he is back to his chipper self soon.
Megs - Sorry to hear you've been feeling down. Hope things pick up over easter. I can sympathise about about being away from friends - it's hard and especially when ur a mummy and need the extra support from close friends and family. We'll jsut have to keep scrabbling together. you challenge my brain every game - I love it!
TGO - how are you and nate doing? Love and update.
LMrsC - Hiya & happy easter to you!
Still no word on the house.... bit frustrated that we have to wait until after easter to get excited - but thems the breaks. Realestate agent called and said they have agreed to accept $1000 from the buyers so they can stop showing people thru and say it's offically under offer - but have to wait until they get see their bank before we offically get excited!
Hello Everyone:wave:. Hope you are all well, and the birthdays have gone great guns!!!
I still have two weeks to go for ours, and the planning has been going on for at least 6 weeks now... What can I say, I'm a planner!
We are doing really well at the moment. Thomas is walking, almost running most of the time! He is a climber, so gets on the couch, and up the letterbox, we have one of those brick three tiered letterboxes, and in his toy box, where he sits for ages!
He has seven teeth, no hair, cute grin, and loves swimming and hanging out with daddy.
Thats about it, pretty boring really!
Hope you are all well, and a big happybirthday to all our gorgeous April babies!!!!!

My baby boy turns one today and I can't believe it!:smiliedance::eek:
Yesterdays party went well. We still have mountains of food left over.
Every one had left by about 4:30pm which gave us some time to clean up and then we went over to DH's sisters place for dinner.
Ryder spent most of the time over there chasing his 18month old cousin around. You can't really tell whose older in the development stages, only that one is bigger then the other!
Ryder did extremely well with prezzies. Spoilt rotten actually:laughing:
Pics will be on facebook soon 9once I get organised).
Hope everybody had a Happy Easter!!!:flowerz:

Whohoo - happy birthday wee man !!!!!
Baby girl had a brilliant birthday week ... hahaha, I like to celebrate birthdays over a week - weird I guess - anyhoo - started with her Saturday party with all our lovely friends last week - photos on FB, finished with a beautiful party on her actual bday with rellies interstate - was fantastic and my little doll was well and truly spoiled.
She has started saying words - it's SO funny! Today she had a coughing fit and I said 'oh no, are you ok' and she said ... wait for it - I kid you not ... she said 'yep' !!!!!!!! I laughed until I cried ... and then tonight after we had a nice steamy shower and I was dressing her and I asked her a question again and she said 'YEP'... hahahahahaha - she's too funny !!!!!!! She says a new word everyday at the moment, I think i'm going to have a chatterbox on my hand.
Not walking yet - but creeps around the furniture and has taken a couple of unaided steps but not actual walking. I have a feeling she will be up and off over the course of a day.
Cutting her top teeth at the moment - SO cute !!
Happy birthday to all the beautiful April babies - and to the ones who came early in March...
I can't believe our littlies are ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love you all :flowerz:

We had a great day yesterday for Ryder's birthday.
Had a beautiful relaxing day (after all the chaos of Sunday's party:laughing:) with just the three of us at home and then went over to Nana's for dinner where we did another birthday cake.
I feel a sense of loss that my son's first year is over. I think it's more so because he's getting older and he's no longer my baby (although he hasn't been for a while).
Ryder seemed confused about all the attention, I guess to him it was an ordinary day just with lots of new things to play with!!
I was looking back at his newborn photos and I cant' believe how much he has changed from then.
He can walk, jump, talk, clap, every day he amazes me!
Love is all you need

happybirthday to them all!!:yes::yes:
It's our official turn tomorrow!! yay my little one year old Georgie Porgie!! She is such a wonderful little girl - I'm loving every minute of her and making the most of what is left of babies in my life. Excuse me while I brag a bit here!! Georgie is just Miss personatily. You can tell already she is going to be the funny one of the family. She absolutlely love the word 'DONK'. Every time I say it she looks at me and cracks up. Even if she has hurts herself she'll stop crying, look at me and laugh! Gotta love it!! I love my little bubba!!
Our BIG news is we have finally sold our house!!!:smiliedance:. Contracts are off at the solicitors being drawn up as we speak (we'll actually it's only 6.00am so they're probably sitting on someones desk in the darkness actually!!) Now we have 6 months to find our new home. Pretty happy as we got our asking price. Now it's shopping time........

I'm sure the perfect home for you is just around the corner!
JESS - Why would Matt want to wait until the wedding? Does he not want you pregnant at the wedding?
Hmmm, maybe a compromise can be made?
Glad to hear that things are finally starting to settle down a bit for you, it's been ages since we've heard from you:p
I've got some good news - probably TMI but I'm ovulating!:smiliedance:
After months of my body screwing me around I've taken the Maybe Baby test every day this month and I am finally ovulating. I followed the Maybe Baby test up with an ovulation pee test and sure enough, got a very strong positive line. Lots of BD'ing coming up!!!

Good Morning Mum's and Bubs
Sorry we have been MIA. Its been a bit of a busy couple of weeks. Dh's brother only just went back to the UK so there has been a lot of catching up and family functions.
Hails - Oh how exciting for you. I dont expect to see you much around here in the next couple of days...i suspect you'll be making that baby . Sending lots of baby dust your way. :babydust2:.
SSU - Congrats on selling the house. You must be so relieved. Your Miss G sounds adorable. happybirthday to G for tomorrow.
Jess - So lovely to see you around. Oh how annoying having to wait. I started sounding out DH for another baby the other night...I dont know what's come over me in the last couple of weeks...I just want another baby. I want Charlotte to have a sibling. I hope you can come to some kind of compromise that makes you both happy.
PR - Your bubby sounds gorgeous...and from the photos on FB is clearly a stunner like her mummy already.
S&R - Good to see that you are safe and sounds in Qld. I hope Ruby is feeling better.
KK - Lovely to hear from you too. Charlotte is a bit of a climber...she nearly gives me a heart attack daily with the things she chooses to climb on.
A huge happybirthday to all the April Bubba's. I can't believe how quick the year has flown. It brings tears to my eyes that my little baby isnt a baby anymore..
Anyways enough sooking from me.
I hope everyone has a lovely day. :sunshine:

LilMrsC - Yes, heart attacks all round when he's climbing. He's too cute though, and you just have to be there to pick up the pieces... He now loves climbing into his toy box, and standing on all the toys!
How did your DH take your phishing expedition regarding a new sibling for Charlotte? I've had my plan in place for no 2 for years, so my DH knows that come December, he should have lots of "practice"....
Hails - :wizard::babydust2: Baby dust coming your way, and congrats to your DH on all the sex coming his way!! If he's anything like my DH, he's going to think its christmas!!!!!
Majeevch - Good luck with convincing your DF that he doesn't want to wait. I can so understand where you are coming from, I see from your ticker that that is 71 weeks to wait... :hugs:
PR - Thats so great that your little girl is saying heaps of new words!!! I love birthdays that last over a week... Fantastic!
SRM - Yay for being back in QLD!!! I hope Ruby calms down for you soon... It so could be any one of the things you are thinking about, and I think you are doing a great job carrying her around all that time!! Boobie juice is magic though, so hopefully she will be better in no time at all!!!!!
Okay, thats all I can remember from the last couple of pages....
Only 9 sleeps to go until my little man isn't so little anymore!! And until I have 36 adults and 28 kids at my house to help me celebrate! So need to clean some more...
Hope you are all keeping well!

Hey all...
I am very down today... I was invited to a mums group 6 wks ago and have been 3 times...
last night i recieved this email
This is a really awkward email...and I feel really terrible about it.
The mother's group girls have had a talk and decided that they'd prefer to
keep to the orginal few on Tuesdays.
For a few of the girls, it is their only 'safe-place' to completely off load
about their husbands or ex's. As we have been meeting every week for the
last year we are very intimate and close group now, but for a couple of the
girls it has only been in the last month or 2 that they have felt
comfortable enough to trust us and open up as they are very private people.
Unfortunately they don't feel as though they can do that anymore so we have
decided to go back to the original group. It took them a good 10 months to
feel comfortable enough to confide in us and we don't want to take that away
from them as they really do need to off load & air their issues.
I feel terrible as this is my fault. I really should have discussed bringing
someone new with every person in the group prior to inviting you.
I am so sorry honey, it really is nothing personal. Maybe you and I can
arrange to meet for coffee or for ***** to come over for a play-date with
**** when your up our way.
I really hope we have not hurt your feelings, like I said, it really isn't
about you personally. I hope you understand.

TGO - :hugs:. What a terrible and completely rude thing for them to do. I can't believe someone would be so unthoughtful and treat your needs and feelings so badly. Please respond to this woman and tell her (nicely :o) how much she has hurt you! People just shouldn't be allowed to be such ignoramuses! Don't give up - playgroups can be awesome fun - you just have to find the right one - and that one sure aint it!!:hugs:
Man that makes me cross. If I had this womans email address I think I'd be given her something to think about!!!

I"m just going to chime in .. and say that is just plain horrid ..
firstly .. email is a gutless way to do something like that .. secondly .. to exclude someone like that .. from a social group- far out .. why dont they have their little whinge fests on another day or via cyber talks if they are so damn private ..
there ARE good mothers groups out there :hugs: you will find one .. :hugs:
Good morning Ladies.
Sorry I have been MIA again, we have had family here from NZ and have had my brother staying with us so have been pretty busy. Everyone has gone home now though, so hopefully back to normal now, well after Poppy's party this weekend anyway.
I have only had a quick browse through the posts and want to say hi to everyone and :hugs:. Sorry for no personals but I am super tired. I have been having tests to find out why. The doc thinks it may be my thyroid, iron or blood pressure I just have to wait for the tests to come back. I feel like the walking dead at the moment!
Poppy is doing well, we are going through a stage of fighting EVERY sleep at the moment which is super frustrating. She has started sticking her fingers far back in her mouth so that she has a little throw up when it is bed time :hair:. I dont know what to do to stop it. Other than that all is well and my little girl is a perfect little bub most of the other times.
I really do promise to come back and do personals on Monday when everything is quiet again. We have Poppy's party on Saturday and 2 other parties on Sunday.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Love Ang xx

TGO - How awful!! I didn't know that Mother's groups were invented so a group of woman can sit around, exclude others and ***** about their husbands.
I would take other people's advice and write a return letter. Take the high road but let them know that you are hurt. Let them know that a phone call would have been better then an email. They have to learn that the way they treat people have consequences!
How rude to invite you and then exclude you:no:
MEGGS - Ryder has his needles early next month. He normally goes pretty well, doesn't cry at all so I'm hoping it's still the same this time round.
I still get very nervous leading up to his injections though.
2 weeks isn't long!! You will have to get in contact once in a blue moon and let us all know how you're going and whether you're coming back or not - lol!!!
ANGROC - Sounds like you definitly have your hands full with Poppy.
I really have no idea how you would stop her from shoving her hands down her throat unless you maybe swaddle her? Do it just enough so you can put her down and leave the room before she escapes.
I hope all your tests come back with some answers. Let us know how you go.
AFM - Well I feel like i've done a bad thing this morning.
One of my mum's old friends messaged me on facebook asking "whether my mum had moved in with her boyfriend yet" (it's been a while since they last saw each other spoke. They are very close but both go for months without talking and then pick up where they left off).
I explained that "she did but it didnt' last very long and that Mum and her boyfriend have only just recently started talking again and are taking it slow".
She replied asking if I "was ok because I didnt' sound too happy " and then I couldn't stop myself.
I told her that" I don't like him because of the way he treats my mother. He treats her like rubbish, hurts her, she leaves and then he comes crawling back and the cycle starts all over again".
I told her how he doesn't respect my mother or treat her the way she deserves and how this time round (they have been together for 8 years and it's been the same all along), I just don't see why mum would put herself back into that position, especially when she knows what his true colours are like.
I just couldn't stop myself from venting all of the anger I feel towards this man and feel towards my mum for letting him back into her life when I know exactly what's to come.
Her friend is going to call mum on Sunday (not because of what I've said, just to catch up) and has promised me that she won't let on that she spoke to me about it (which is good), but I still feel bad.
I know mum likes to put on a "happy face" to her friends and she would kill me if she knew what I had said.
Today is DH"s and my 5 year anniversary. I can't believe that this day, 5 years ago we decided that we only wanted to see each other and we have a marriage and a beautiful baby boy because of that decision.
It really has been some of the best years of my life!!:flowerz:

Hi all sorry it's been ages I'm slack. Alls the same pretty much in my world so nothing new to report except April's Birthday is this weekend! :smiliedance: She's still not really walking, she's got 6 teeth & now she is refusing food by shaking her head. If it's something I know she likes I have to sneak a bit on her lips in between the head shaking so she can taste it & go OK I like this & eat it. She doesn't like lumps anymore which is weird. She will eat toast & crackers but if I give her pasta or anything with peas & is not smooth she spits it out! Anyone else's kids do this?
Also I just want to say to tgo576231 that is soooo rude! You put yourself out there by going to the playgroup & they do this. I'd be so upset. I'd return an email like everyone else has suggested.
Morning girls!
Wow vicki I cant believe that group!!! you are 100% better off you dont want to be a part of something like that..at least they emailed and let you know? it was prob only one person who didnt want you to come and im guessing not the person who emailed you... I had the same thing happen except i wasnt even talked to just cut off and not invited anymore and it was one person who dictated the group too many people just follow like sheep sadly i wont ever go to a group again it is very hurtful isnt it?... I really hope you can move on and find a lovely new group of women who arent so "cliquey" so rude!!!!
Ange - hope it isnt anything serious but ive noticed how tired you have been... sending lots of :hugs: to you and hopefully Poppy's little phase will wear off soon!
Hails - dont feel bad it is really hard to pretend everything is ok when you know it isnt, and the moment there is an opportunity of course it will come out just natural when you need to let it out:) I really hope your mum protects herself and her heart!
Ill still have net access while im away so will be on here and fb!
LBB - how exciting!!!! Will be thinking of you on Sunday:) did you get everything for the party ok? what did you end up with for party bags?
S&Rmum - can you get bubhubbers to come to you? maybe go to a park or something close by?

Just a quick one _ LBB - yes my kids have gone thru this stage. It's all normal. Georgie is the same, shakes her head and I have to sneak something onto her lips so she remembers the taste and eats it. The lumps thing too is a pretty normal thing for them. Isn't it so much fun watching them grow up!!

Wow it's been dead in here for days.
I guess we're all off being busy with our lives.
Not much has happened here since last time I wrote.
DH has his first (out of three) final electrician exams today. I have a lot of faith in him but he was freaking out this morning before he left. :fingerscrossed: he does well and can proceed onto his next exam.
If he passes he could end up being a full pledged electrician by Christmas this year!!
I'm so looking forward to this weekend. I'm off to Bendigo, without child and without Hubby to catch up with a friend who I haven't seen since my wedding.:smiliedance::smiliedance:
Friday night we are just going to chill out, watch a few movies, catch up and drink cocktails.
She lives in NSW so I only really get to see her once a year when she comes down to stay with the in-laws.
She's one of my bestest, oldest friend, one of those people who it doesn't matter how rarely you speak, you always pick up where you left off.
It's sure to be a fantastic weekend!!:D
Hope everybody else is doing well.
Wow it has been quiet in here.
Hails - Oh your weekend sounds great. It'll be lovely to catch up with an old friend. All my old mates live in England and I wish I could catch up with them...I do miss my mates.
SSU - Congrats on the sale of the house. :yelclap:
LBB - Charlotte is being extremely fussy at the moment. Wont eat anything unless she can feed herself...gets rather stressful and makes meal times really difficult. So I completely understand where you are coming from.
S&R - I saw on FB today that you got your car. You must be so happy.

I'm off to bendigo today for my Girls night.
I'm so excited. It's finally raining though and that means I have to drive 2.5 hours in the rain (I hate driving in the rain, although I'm glad it's finally raining).
We're going to be watching Twilight and the Simple Life (the hilarious series with Nicole Ritchie and Paris Hilton).
It will be good to be able to just sit down, have a few drinks and not have to worry about the kids interrupting every 2 seconds.:)
I'm going to miss my little man though. Him and Hubby are having a Boys night in which is great for DH as well.
Hope all is ok and will catch up when I get back!!

Hi all, just popping up to say g'day.
Hails hope you have great time with our friend. Nothing like catching up with good friends. Enjoy!
S&Rmum- hope ur settling well back up north. You enjoy too! glad to hear Seth is doing so well, along with little miss ruby. Funny seems like only a few weeks ago seeing pic of you so big pregnant with her!! I can't believe how fast fime is going.
Megs - Yay - your trip is nearly here! Have a wonderful time. Can't wait to hear some updates from the other side of the world!
LittlemrsC:wave:. It has been quiet in here. Thansk fro the good wishes.
We are all pretty much the same. STILL waiting for finalisation on the house sale. Evidently that banks are flat chat with first home buyers and the RE agent still keeps warning us that the banks are being really tough. The contracts are evidently signed but they still have to go to the buyers bank for final approval or some such thing! Could be another 3 weeks before it's all finalised. Been a long stretched out process.
Georgie is great. Still not walking - but happily crawling and getting her self about. She can push her walking toys standing up now - so she won't be too far off. She's having a bit of trouble with the cow's milk - so I've put her back onto toddler formula for a while.
It's cold and rainy here today (thank you god for the rain!!) but feels a bit strange to see clouds and greyness. It's making me pensive and very thoughtful. I cried before watching the girls playing in the rain with their unbrella's - cause I love them so much. I know - what a silly goose I am!!!:o. Oh well - just one of those days. I keep thinking they're gunna grow up so soon and all this will just be a memory. they are so cute - I just love being home with them ..............ok enough dribble
Hugs to all the April 08 Mummas!!

Hails - oooh have fun tonight so jealous!!! Im so ready for some baby free time I really need a haircut but no time!
LilMrsC - just saw you sig well done on quitting!!! Must be really hard my mum did it after 30 years and went cold turkey and hasnt smoked for about 5yrs now!!! Good on you!!!
I cant believe how big Charli is getting too...
SSU - How is house stuff going? how exciting!!!! Ill miss scrabble while im away canada doesnt have it:(
Well im sitting here watching "Privileged" on austar while emmy is napping im so tired but cant be bothered napping!
Hope everyone is going well....
 we posted at the same time SSU!!!
Wow 3 more weeks!!!! Hope it flies for you if it takes that long...
Emmy is the same though she can walk several steps on her own prefers crawling cause it is quicker...not sure how true but i got told the longer they take to walk the smarter they are according to some research:D
Emmy is on both toddler formula and cows milk just so she gets the right balance of stuff i give her one cows milk bottle a day and 1-2 of formula luckily she likes it all hehe....
you are such a great mum your girls are so blessed to have you:)
We are so lucky to have a great birth thread with wonderful amazing mums and bubs:thumbsup:

ssu - hope the next 3 weeks go quickly for you
meggs - i did the transistion from formula to cows milk for seth very slowly. as he used to chuck heaps on milk. so he wasnt really allowed normal milk untill 15-16months. i think the mix of both sounds good. im not introducing milk for ruby though. just water and breastmilk for her.
how are all the other april mums and bubs.?

Hi Ladies, everyone enjoying their Friday night?
I'm so glad there are other April bubs still not walking yet! April can walk she takes steps all the time & walks & dives at me all the time but she just lacks the confidence to fully do it. I wish she would hurry up!
I have April on half formula half cows milk. I still have a step 2 formula at her dads house & I just make half formula & top it up to 200mls with cows milk. And at my dads I have a step 3 & I do the same thing. I think I will keep doing it like that for a little while as I like the idea of her getting the extra vitamins from the formula (she's not a big eater) but also getting used to the cows milk. I also wanna start cutting down the midday bottle & giving it to her in a sippy cup to get her used to that.
SethandRuby'sMum - I live out at Logan but stay at Seven Hills frequently which I believe is sorta close to Wakerly.
Meggs I loved the way my party bags ended up looking. Exactly how I pictured them in my head. April's party went off hitch free which was good too. I saw the pic's from Emmy's party it looked like a fun day!
Sorry to those I have missed. I will try & be back soon

Where do I start......
Last month my period was 5 weeks late... But this was normal for me prior to conceiving Nate.. So I didn't think any more of it....
When I got my period, the first 2 days were super light then I got them really bad.. like super bad and super clotty
I passed a big clot bigger than an egg but didn't think any more of it...
I had an appointment for a pap smear last week and made mention of it to her and she sent me for blood work etc and said come back next week and we will discuss results etc... and i was to get a referral to a psychologist for some counseling
When I went in today she said.. "We need to discuss these results... "
Last time I had an abnormal result, and had to have another one but they thought that the old gp just stuffed the smear....
She said to start with, "you were pregnant last month and you did lose your baby..." *so thats confirmed miscarriage #2 in 3 years - one before and now one after Nate*
"Also, your smear came back abnormal... "
I asked her was it just an error with the smear and I was ok having another one...
and she said.. "No, its not good Vicki... Its come back showing high level cancer cells, which means you have cervical cancer"
*Sigh*
So yeah... I have cervical cancer of some degree.... I have to wait until Monday to see when my app is with the Gyno is to discuss when they will biopsy and burn it out....and i will have to give permission for a hysterectomy incase too :(
Seriously... Its not sinking in.... http://smf.modernmumma.com/Smileys/clabIcons/sad.gif

TGO - I am so sorry about everything that has happened to you in the past month or so.
Finding out you had a miscarriage must be devastating, but finding out you have some form of cervical cancer as well - well, I cant even begin to imagine.:crying::eek:
Please know that my thoughts are with you during this time and if you need anybody to just listen, I am (as well as all the girls) always just a click of a button away.
My fingers are crossed for you:fingerscrossed:
Sending you lots of love
Hi lovelies!
Firstly, TGO big :hugs: I dont know what else to say. :hugs:
S&R - I am keen to catch up too. I will send an email on FB to arrange something with everyone in the next couple of weeks :)
Meggs - tick tock :) Up up and away for you soon! Yay for Emmy taking steps. I wouldnt be in any hurry for her to get going too fast, I have heaps of trouble keeping up with Poppy lol.
SSU - Waiting for settlement sucks hey! Are you all packed and have you found a house to move to yet? I get teary all the time watching Poppy. They grow sooo fast huh?
Hello to all the other April mums. Its been a while for me so am not really up with what has been happening.
It has been pretty eventful here lately. Along with a squillion birthday parties this month we have had BBQ's family get togethers, you name it! I had to take Poppy to the doc last week as she hasn't been right since the playgroup lollipops party at the end of March. It turns out she has traces of salmonella in her bowels. She has had runny poos on and off since the party so I am pretty sure she picked it up there :( It took 3 doc visits to figure it out too! I still havent heard back about my tests, hopefully this week.
On a positive note, I booked in for my 20 week scan today Yay! I cant believe I am almost half way already! Poppy is being a little gem, walking and running everywhere and getting into untold mischief! She has started saying muummm with a bunch of spit in her mouth and blowing bubbles with it, gross but really cute lol. She loves story time and will bring a book over and plonk herself down in my lap wanting me to read to her. She is great! We are in the process of moving her room and getting it all ste up. Poppy will be in a big girls bed in the next couple of months. I want her moved well before this bub comes so she doesnt feel like she has been evicted from her bed iykwim?
Anyway, that is enough rambling from me. I will try and get on a bit more, it is hard to find computer time anymore!
Ang xx

Ang April does the exact same thing with the mmuuummm & blowing bubbles  it's funny how they do the same stuff! Oh & that salmonella business doesn't sound good. Hopefully that will be all cleared up soon. Oh & :yelclap: for Poppy going to a big girl bed soon. April would so get up & just get out of bed. She is so good at getting on & off things. Still not walking though. Stepping but not walking. Anyway gotta go
Poppy is normally pretty good in bed thank goodness. She isnt sleeping through either, although she did sleep through on Saturday night OMG!!! She got my hopes up then dashed them again on Sunday night lol.
I just heard back from my doc about the salmonella and he said that if the runny poos come back then she has to go straight back and may be admitted to hospital. OMG again! She does seem much better though, I will just keep an eagle eye on her poor chook. I would love to know what caused it...

April still doesn't sleep through either so you are not alone. She wakes up once now early in the morning & I bring her into my bed & continue to sleep until 7am. Every now & again she sleeps through but I wont count it until she does it at least 3 nights in a row.
Yes it would be good to know what caused it. What does cause salmonella? Hopefully it all clears up now so she doesn't need to be admitted to hospital.
Speak to you all soon. Night.

ang - i got ur fb message:) i replied
im meeting 2hubbers this week.. wed/friday. and also meeting someone else today.
mil booked me for this weekend though. i have to stay home while they collect and deliver items we bought together. then dh comes home sat evening.
he is melb for tafe for a week.. gosh it hurts. im looking after both 24/7. there both waking during the night too:sleeping:
last night seth pretty much slept through but shifted alot and slept sidewards. and ruby woke 3times and seth woke at 5.35 for the day:sleeping:
rubys getting very good on her feet.
when did everyone buy shoes for there children? dh lost her very first pair the 2nd day we had them but she didnt like wearing them..
just wondering when everyone thinks shoes are good? seth wears shoes all the time while out because he loves walking.. or should we call that running:rolleyes:
Good Morning April Mummies,
Arrggghh what a week its been already. I have had endless job interviews but no one seems to get back to me (maybe I am just unemployable :crying:). Charlotte has come down with something I think. She has had real runny poo's for about a week and a half now, I put it down to teething at first. Then last night she woke every hour from 11pm screaming her little lungs out. So we are off to the doctors today (does anyone else feel like they spend their lives in the doctors surgery?).
Anyways enough ranting from me.
S&R - Charlotte has little pre walker shoes. We have a couple of pairs of Nike Airs and little Adidas shoes waiting..but she still has really small feet so proper shoes dont fit her yet. She is still in a size 2.
Ang - Oh I hope miss Poppy feels better soon. Salmonella would be awful. It feels like your pregnancy is going super quick this time. Does it feel like that to you?
Tgo - My thoughts are with you and your family.:)
Ilovemygirls - My little girl was born 20th March 2008. I was due in April but she came a bit early.
Meggs - You must be super excited, not long now til your trip.
Hails - How are you hunni? How was your weekend? Am I guessing from your FB status that you are almost at testing time??? I have my :fingerscrossed: for your BFP.
Sorry to anyone I have forgotten. I swear baby brain still haunts me.
I suppose I should get into this day. I hope everyone has a lovely day. :flowerz:

Hi Ladies
Well I had an absolutely fantastic night away.
We had so much to catch up on! We watched Twilight, sang karikokee (well I sang and she sniggered:laughing:) and just sat up to 3:00am reminicing about the old days and talking about our lives now.
It looks like she will be moving permantely to Bendigo by November. I am so excited to have her so close.
(we went to highschool together and then lived with each other for a year.)
I will be testing hopefully on the 4th May. I have my :fingerscrossed: for my :bfp:.
Whenever I eat I get waves of nausea. A few times I've actually had to go into the bathroom due to being so close to being :barf:.
I've had cramps/ stitches on/off for a while now.
I really want this to be it but I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket. It's ok. If it doesn't happen this month then it will next month.
I will just face each cycle positively.
I just found out my best friend is going to start trying for her second in 6 weeks so I'm really excited at the prospect of us being pregnant together:smiliedance:
Have a great day and will chat again soon. xoxo

lilmrsc - omg so cute.. size 2.. rubys a size 4. (i know from the pair that dh lost)
ang - semonella poisening is yuk. poor poppet. i usually get it when i dont cook my chicken right. (which is usually where people get it and not cleaning up after prep for chicken) but havent been sick since pregnancy for that. hope she gets well soon..
hails - good luck for the 4th.
S&R - Poppy rarely eats meat and I always eat what she does and I dont have it so I am really confused as to where she picked it up from :detective:. As for shoes, Poppy has been wearing them for ages so she is used to them. I think initially, get Ruby something with a nice thin sole so she can still feel the ground. As Nic said, pre walkers are great.
Lilmrsc - My jaw dropped when I read the size of Charlottes feet. Poppy has hug clobbers and is in size 5 already. She takes after her daddy I think. I just hope she gets the height to go with the feet lol. This pregnancy feels like it is zooming by. I think with 2nd pregnancys you dont have the time to sit there and analyse everything. TBH, I can get through the week and barely think about it unless I have an antenatal appointment or something. Its kind of not good, as I can see everything being left to the last minute!
Dont lose hope on the job front, it is really tough out there at the moment and heaps of ppl are out looking for work. unfortunately that means more competition. Something will come up soon. What type of job are you going for?
Hails - Yay for a good weekend! I have my fingers crossed for a :bfp: this month. It is really nice to have a friend close to you to share the pregnancy journey with. A good friend of mine is due just 4 days before me.
LBB - Nice to know I am not alone in the not sleeping through team. Confession alert... Poppy still has a bottle in the middle of the night  Bad I know but she wont settle without it grr. I just need to figure out a peaceful way to wean her off them!
Not too much to report here today. Ooh, Poppy has started being really defiant and kind of naughty. She will go up to the TV with something in her hand and hit it while looking at us with an 'I dare you to stop me' look on her face. She knows it is naughty and she isnt allowed to do it and has had a couple of taps on the hand for it too. Only thing is she comes up to us after and taps us back on the hand. Somehow I dont think that is an effective form of punishment the little monkey. It is so hard not to laugh but I dont want one of those children who just gets away with blue murder. Everything is a learning curve I guess.
Have a good night :flowerz:

Just a quick hubbing moment from me. tea is in the oven but I have to go get ready for a Kinda meeting tonight. I'm the assistant treasurer. :laughing:Makes me laugh every time i think of it!! Now I've just been reminded that Thank God Your Here is on tonight I don't even want to go!!! Oh well.
Ang - Glad to hear things are going well. Yay on a smooth uneventful pregnancy. Did you find out what you're having this time?? Well apart from a baby of cause!
TGO hope your doing ok sweety!!:hugs:
Hayley - Nice to hear you had a good time. If we were staying in Bendigo we'd probably catch up with your friend being down here. But we'll be leaving just before she arrives!! :fingerscrossed: for the 4th!
S&Rsmum - Yay for shoes. They make them look so grown up. Georgie is a 4. And now it's cold I put her in them to go out even though she is not walking yet. only way to keep the sock on!!!
Ok - better dash. everyone else.

Hi ladies
Well I think Ryder and I are both coming down with something.
He has a bright red nose, has gone off his food and is sniffling and sneezing.
I have the beginnings of a sore throat.
:fingerscrossed: this is as bad as it's going to get.
We had a maternal and childhealth appointment yesterday.
Ryder is now 10.8 kg and 75.5 cm long. He's grown a lot since last time and is just under the 50 percentile for weight and length.
His head is a whole different story. 75 percentile with his head measuring 47.5 cm.
Huge I tell you!!
AF was due today and hasn't shown so I did a test but it came up :bfn:.
I know i'm still only early though (I didn't know I was pregnant with Ryder until I was 6 weeks).
My confidence is slipping again.
I keep thinking that maybe my body is playing up again but both the Maybe Baby and the Pee Ovulation tests said I was ovulating / coming up to ovulating on the 15th April so it should be right.
Oh well, keep the baby vibes coming.:babydust2:
MEGGS - Hope you're all prepared. Have a safe flight if we dont' hear from you until you get there.
SILLYSIDEUP - Thanks for your well wishes. Please keep your fingers crossed. How is your new house hunting going??
ANGROC - Poppy is not the only one being naughty. If you tell Ryder "no" he throws his head on the ground with his bum in the air and cries crocodile tears.
It's funny to watch but we try to stiffle our laughter so we don't encourage him.
If we smack him on the hand he laughs. He thinks it's the funniest thing. If you find a good way to discipline please let me know!!
LILMRSC - I really hope someone gives you the opportunity to work soon. You must be so frustrated.
Good luck - my fingers are crossed that the right job will come along soon enough
SETHSANDRUBY'S MUM - How are you finding Brisbane??
Good Morning Mummies
Hails - Dont get too down yet. It is still very early to test. With Charlotte I had 4 :bfn: and then a very very very faint BFP. One day it can show negative and the next positive. I will keep my :fingerscrossed: for you.
Ilovemygirls - My DD was due 15th of April but I was induced early because of Cholestasis. So I know exactly how you feel with horrid pregnancy. Having said that I had a pretty yucky birth too...but I still would love another one. Charlotte goes up and down with sleeping through the night. One week she will sleep like a dream. The next she will be a nightmare.
SSU - How did your meeting go last night? Is everything going smoothly with the sale of the house?
Ang - I know for a big girl she has tiny tiny little feet. Sometimes I dont know how she stands up haha. I am looking for Admin type work...there is just nothing about in Adelaide at the moment. It is dead. Oh well got to stay positive. Oh and Charlotte is the same with cheeky behaviour. If we tell her no she will smile at us and in a very cute voice say Mum/Dad...and then just do it again. I dont know what I am going to do when the terrible 2's hit...
S&R - How are you hun? Have you had a few catch up's with Hub Mum's this week? I hope they went well.
AFM - Charlotte is at daycare today which is great for both of us. She loves it there so much. I love it coz I can finally do a bit of cleaning. I took Charli to a play and fun cafe yesterday. She had a great time. I love doing stuff with her when she isnt at daycare.
Well I suppose I better go into this cleaning.
Hope everyone has a lovely day. :sunshine:

Just update my avatar - it's been the same for a long time! Wow was it cold here this morning. brrrrrr.
Megs - get back to packing!!!! :D hope you have a ball!
LitmrsC - enjoy your day. It would be nice to do the housework and see it all stay done for a few hours. I thought about it the other day and I really think i spend 4 hours every day just cleaning up (without changing nappies and cooking) and hour place still always seems like a confused toyshop!
Hails. Oh this stage is so hard. Waiting and waiting. Everyone is different. Before 5 weeks my pregnancy test are always so faint you can't see them. With Georgie I went back ages later and held it up again and thought - is it???????? They say if you can hold the test at arms length and see any faint line - then you are. Good luck again - it will happen but the waiting is so hard.
Ilovemygirsl.. I love mine too:D.
It's pretty quiet here this am. Miss nearly 5 (OMG) is at Kinda and Miss 3 is dancing to music and Georgie is crawling around saying "ummmmmmmmm ummmmmmmmmmm". That is quiet for our place!! Have a big messy kitchen to clean up - but I feel like I did that yesterday and the day before and so on and so on!!!!
Still waiting on the buyers bank to confirm out house sale. So no really looking for a new place yet. We've got until October so it's ok. Now we're trying to decide what to do about the business. It's only three years old and has a lot of potential but needs a few more years work before it's really saleable. So now we have to decide if Daddy is going to keep running it and live in Bendigo 4 days, or travel alot or what... Life is full of decisions and sometimes it's really hard to work out which way to go!!!
Ok - best go and attach the kitchen. have a great day mummies.......

angroc - if the middle of the night bottle full cream or formula. (coz im not sure if you can water down formula) if its full cream try slowly watering it down to water. although seth got hooked on a water bottle in the night till recently lol..
for those with waking babies (or should i say toddlers now) ruby wakes at least 3 times a night for the past week due to teething. thankfully i found my hylands teething relief tablets for ruby..
hayley - stay strong and positive. it will happen.. and just because its negative today its not over untill af is here. brisbane is good.. nice and sunny.. absolutly beautiful. just wish i had more adult company during the day.
lilmrs c - im meeting an april mel tomorrow (forgot ur username sorry) should be good :D

Well this will be my last post before I leave:eek: not sure ill be able to post much while im away but will def be on fb... sorry I have been MIA lately...
Hails - hang in there!!!! Im feeling good vibes that it will happen so try and stay positive...
LilMrsC - why dont you do temp work from home? I wish i had admin skills so I could do that... just an idea i know it pays well:) Glad Charli likes daycare Im too scared to put Em there in case they dont look after her properly..next year i think ill put her in a half day to play and socialise...
S&RMum - yay for meeting mums up there im so jealous the Brissy mums are awesome along with everyone else in our birth group..
Ange - How did you go at the Dr with Poppy? I hope she isnt in hospital... Im so glad you are still in this group even though you are expecting again dont leave us!!!!!!
Ilovemygirls - you are most welcome to stay here!!!
SSU - Ill miss scrabbling with you while im gone unless we can use lexulous? hope all goes well with the house and what you decide about the business too...
LBB - glad to hear everything with the party went well:) I know im lucky that emmy sleeps through the night i wonder if its a formula thing she sleeps 7:30ish til 6:30 every night which s lovely! Hope April does the same for you soon too....
Well Em is awake and of course isnt being very cooperative today while i need to do things so i better go...

HI all,
Just doing a quick post while both kiddies are asleep (bliss!) and I've got some cooking in the oven.
Things have been busy busy around here. We moved about a month ago and didn't have the net on for a while, so I haven't really kept up with what's been happening. Sorry.
All is well here. Evie has had a gastro bug for the past week or so but, apart from some massive poo attacks, doesn't seem bothered by it. It's hit everyone else hard - Will, me, my mum, my brother and a few of our friends have all been sick this week. I feel so bad, because I'm sure it all started with us.
Apart from that, all is good. Evie has been walking for a little while now, and thinks she's just hot stuff. She can't sneak anywhere, because she's too busy laughing at herself. Luckily, she and Will still adore each other, which is really cute to watch. I'm desperate for #3, but DP isn't so keen, though I'm still trying to convince him.
I know most of you have probably already had their first birthday parties, but ours is on this weekend. I can't believe my little girl is one next week. Unfortunately I'll be in a big rush on party day (Sunday) since I work all day Saturday, then have to work Sunday night. I'm trying to get ahead today and tomorrow with the cooking, but I can see me having a panic in the early hours of Sunday morning...
OK, better go and check my cakes. Will try and pop back more regularly.

TGO - Good luck with your appointment this morning.
Sending positive vibes your way.
I can't wait to see pics of Nates 1st birthday!!
AFM - Well I am well and truelly sick. I have a sore throat, no energy, my body is just so lethargic, I have an airy feeling to my head - not fun.
I barely slept last night and asked DH to stay home today but he said he couldn't. Humph, I hope he doesn't expect any favours when he's sick!
Probably TMI but I'm after some advice. This morning whilst I was fixing Ryder's breakfast I felt really "wet" down there all of a sudden. Thinking it was AF arriving (I'm two days late now) I rushed to the bathroom only to find an awful abundance of clear CM.
I never get this much in my normal cycle, especially not around AF time and I dont' remember what it was like with Ryder because he was an unexpected surprise.
Has anybody else had an increase in CM as an early pregnancy sympton??
WILL&EVIE - Happy Birthday to Evie for next week! It's so exciting.
Hope your move went well. It was easy moving with Ryder when he was a baby, I can't begin to consider how hard it's going to be to move houses now with him running all over the place!
MEGGS - Have an absolutely fantastic time away!! It's heading into their summer right? So you've chosen the perfect time!
Thanks for those vibes, hopefully I can share some fantastic news with you soon!
SETHANDRUBY'S MUM - How long is DH down here for?
Have a great time catching up with a few April mama's. Should be great!!
SILLYSIDEUP - The right decision regarding your business will come to you. What is it? You couldn't operate it out of Ballarat?
Have fun with your kitchen!!
LILMRSC - Good luck with your house cleaning today.
Mine needs to be done to but it can wait until I'm feeling better
Hails - Yep, a bit gross but I too was overproducing in that department in the first few weeks too. Bless panty liners lol. I hope you feel better soon.
TGO - Good luck today. Let us know how you go.
W&E - Good luck convincing your DH! I hope you succeed. How many kidlets do you want?
Meggs - No way am I leaving this group! I started chatting in the new Oct thread but it just isnt the same, I am going to stick to you guys if you dont mind :) Poppy seems to be ok. I made the choice to not put her on antibiotics as I dont like the effect the have on your tum. Being as she is only 1, I can imagine they would make her feel like crap. If she was in pain and wasnt being herself, I wouldnt hesitate, but she seems ok and the doc is happy with my decision so we will let the bug work its way out on its own.
S&R - We have tried giving her watered down formula which works but as soon as we give her just straight water that is when she kicks up a fuss. I think we are going to have major bottle weaning issues here!
SSU - It is good you have plenty of time to house hunt. I love looking at houses, just not all the paperwork that comes with them!
LilMrsC - Haha, the terrible 2's - I shudder when I think about them. Especially when I will have a 6 month old then too! Stay positive on the job front. Something will come up. Would you consider working in another field?
AFM - Just thought I would let you all know what my doc said about salmonella. He said the most common cause of transmitting the bug for kids is through touching other kids hands then putting their hands in their mouths. He said being vigilant with wiping her hands lots while she is around other kids is very important. Here I was thinking the only way you could get it was from chicken or eggs! She seems to be on the mend though which is good.
I think I am going to have to invest in one of those harness back packs sooner rather than later. At the shops yesterday, all Poppy wanted to do was get down and run around.
Have a good weekend ladies.

Hey Gals
just a quick one.
I'm still not feeling too well. I think i'm slowly coming out the other side so in a few days I should be back on top.
Ryder had his needles today. He coped pretty well as usual.
Still no word on whether i'm pregnant or not. I'm 5 days late, have tested everyday and everyday have gotten a :bfn:.
I just want it so bad and now have my mind made up that it's my body stuffing up all over again.
I AM NOT HAPPY!!!

Hello it's me again.
Have I told you that DH got his results back from his third last final exam??
He got 83%!!!:smiliedance: He has another test in May and then the last one in August and then he will be a fully qualified Electrician!!
Not much is happening here today.
I'm on the slow road to recovery. I've still got an airy feeling to me head (can't concentrate for long periods), still feeling pretty fatigued, but other then that I'm A OK!
I have a lot of housecleaning ahead of me today. I did nothing last week because I was sick so I have a h*ll of a lot of washing, scrubbing, sweeping, mopping and vacuming ahead of me - fun.
I'm not looking forward to it at all.
Anyways, hope everybody out there is ok.
Hear from you all soon
Hails - :( I hope you feel better soon. It sucks being ill! Are you basing your period on the standard 28 days or longer. I was thinking that being as your last period was pretty out of whack this one may be too. Maybe go to your doctor and get a pregnancy blood test done to find out for sure, put yourself out of your misery. I still have my fingers crossed for you! I would prob still be BD'ing just in case you are ovulating later than you think. Do you have an OPK?
Yay for your DH's exam results! When DH completed his apprentiship and was a full 'tradie', I brought him a pair of really short stubbies and a bonds singlet and gave him 20 c to put in his 'coin slot' LOL. He didnt think it was funny.
Meggs - If you are reading this, I hope you are having an amazing time and cant wait to hear all about your trip when you get back!
Not much happening here today, I suppose I had better get some house work done at some point as our accountant is coming over tonight. DH's boss wants him to change from a sole trader to a partnership which I think is a bit suss. I think he is just trying to get out of paying workcover. Anyway, we will look into it.
Have a good day!
TGO - How did your appointment go??
Good Morning April Mummies,
Ang - I have so much cleaning to do but with Miss C being unwell its becoming increasingly difficult.
Hails - Oh I hope you start to feel better soon. As Ang said, maybe get a blood test done just to put your mind at rest. It is so hard when you want something so bad and it doesnt happen the way you plan. But keep doing what you are doing...it will happen.
W&E - How did the party go on the weekend? A big happybirthday to Miss Evie.
Meggs - I am incredibly jealous of you right now...I'd kill to be on a holiday . I hope you are having a fantastic time. :goodvibes:
S&R - Yay DH is back for you. You must be so happy to have him home.
AFM - Miss Charli is really unwell. We have a doc appointment in an hour. Poor little darling has runny poos, snotty nose, a terrible cough and now can't seem to hold down any food. I am really worried about her. I hate seeing my little angel unwell.
Well I suppose I better go.
I hope everyone is going really well :sunshine:

Vicki, hope everything is going ok for you.
Lil Mrs C, thanks for the birthday wishes for Miss Evie. can't believe she's one - shed a little tear after her party on Sunday and feel a bit sad again today. Sooky, I know!
I hope Charli feels better soon. Poor little munchkin.
Hails, I know how hard TTC can be. Sometimes it feels like it's taking over your life, esp when AF is due/overdue. I agree with Ang - maybe go and get a blood test to put your mind at ease.
Ang, I can't believe you're 21 weeks already. Gosh that time has flown!!! How are you feeling?
I feel a bit bad that Evie has spent her first birthday at daycare. Tuesdays are always a daycare day, and I worked a night shift last night, but still feel bad that she's been with her other 'family' all day. But I did pack her off with a big birthday cake, and of course big brother Will is there to look after her. I'm just waiting now for DP to bring them home. We're going to have an early dinner and bath, then presents before bed.
Hey Girls!!
We are here!!! The weather is perfect and we are having a great time! Sleep is still a bit allo over the place but hopefully tonight will be better... Went shopping today and I was in HEAVEN!!!!
Just finished catching up on posts...
Hails - hang in there..hope you are feeling better too:) Yay for DH's results too,.....
Ang - glad you arent leaving us:) Im sure there will be crossovers with pregnancies as people start getting BFP's.... thanks for that onfo too i need to do that more with Em i get a bit slack wiping her hands all the time!
Will&Evie - great to hear from you:) Glad all is going well..
Gosh my brain has fried already! Sorry to everyone else...
Hope all is going well and will pop in soon...
Meggs - So glad you arrived safely. Time zones are always the hardest thing about travelling! We did 18 countires in 4 months - you can imagine the problems we had adjusting lol. I think just the fact that you are on the go all the time helps a bit. Ooh shopping! Lucky you ;) I am glad you have finally received your stimilus payment. That should help the shopping fund a bit hehe. Did you find out the main shopping street in Toronto?
W&E - Time sure is flying with this pregnancy. I feel great thank goodness. Dont feel too bad that Evie had her first birthday at day care. I bet she loved it and I doubt she will remember it when she is 21 and hold it against you lol ;)
PR - How have you been? I dont see you on here much anymore. I hope all is well with you and your beautiful bub :)
AFM - Not too much has been happening here. I have been feeling bub move more and more which is really exciting. Poppy is on the mend now and is getting back to her old self - being a little hoover lol.
Have a good day everyone!

MEGGS - So glad to hear the weather is perfect! Hopefully the sleep thing settles down soon.
Shopping, whats that?? lol - it's been so long since i've been shopping, I'm so jealous. Shop up a storm and please think of me just a little bit whilst you're doing it!!
ANGROC - I'm so relieved to hear that Poppy is getting better. She was sick for a little while, wasn't she??
Not long to go now before bubs is born. It really has gone so fast! Hope you're organised - lol!
WILL & EVIE - Ah hun, don't feel bad about Evie having her first birthday at Daycare. She got to play with numerous other kids, still have birthday cake and got to share her special day with her older brother!
She really got two parties. One during the day at daycare and one at home with the people she loves most in the world. She would have had an absolute blast of a day!!
TGO - The pics from Nates birthday are gorgeous!!
I hope all goes well on the 13th. You have been in my thoughts and shall continue to be:hugs:
LILMRSC - How is charlie feeling now?? I hope the doctors gave her something to help.
It's hard not having any control over something like that and not being able to help properly.
Best wishes and get better soon Charlie!
PHOENIX RISING - Hope things are going well. How's bubba??
JESS - Hey, it's been a while since you've been on here too. How is work going? How's Evie?
Are the wedding plans coming along well?
SETHANDRUBY'S MUM - I was watching Oprah the other day and she had Jenny McCarthy on it talking about her son who has Autism and his recovery.
She has written a book called MOTHERS WARRIERS, which has stories from other Mums in it about how they helped their children with Autism by changing the diet and stuff.
It might be worth a read. It sounded really interesting.
AFM - Well Ryder and I went to Playgroup for the first time on Wednesday.
Ryder had the best time. There was so much to do there that he spent the whole 2 hours wandering around in a circle having a go at everything.
We tried to paint daddy a picture but after Ryder ate the paint (he put the paint brush straight into his mouth), I kinda gave up on that idea:laughing:
He followed all the other kids around, joining in every now and then. We will definitly be going back next week.
My brother is on the roll call to head off to Afghanistan. He will be over there (leaving in the next month or so) for 4 - 12 months.
My other brother put his name down to go but he was refused because of all the illnesses and injuries he's had during his stint in the army. He's devastated but to be honest, I'm not. Having one brother over there is bad enough.
We're having a day at home today. Just relaxing and hanging out with each other. We've been a bit busy lately so I've been really looking forward to today.
Hey Girls!
Ang it is Yonge St...will hopefully head there and to the Eaton centre next week:) sooooo loving the shopping here I really dont want to go home...
Hails- My BIL is going over in June for several months too so much for no new deployments:confused: glad Ryder hyad a great time at Playgroup, I think when we get back I might join one Emmy needs to have more socialising and painting is always fun Em eats it too hahaha..... how are you feeling?
Well we are off to the movies tonight baby free woohoo!!! Feel like ive had a baby attacvhed to me for the last week more than normal so a break will be nice though Im getting used to having DH around:D Poor emmy had her first little accident today in the pram she pushed it too close to the table and hit her mouth so some blood and lots of crying but teeth seem ok but made me sad to see her hurt!!! Anyway must go and have some playtime with her...
sorry just a quick one but hope all is well:hugs:
Meggs - I have to say how impressed I am that you are still posting while on holidays! Younge St!!! Thanks you lol, I can sleep now hehe. Are the fountains still there? When we were there it was about 38 degrees and fully clothed kids were running in and out of them, was hilarious to watch. Sorry Em hurt herself, I am glad it wasnt too bad though. You always get a bad case of the guilts though hey.
Hails - It is great that Ryder loved play group. LOL about the paint. I havent tried paint with Poppy yet for that reason. I will have to soon though. I cant wait to see some of her art work hanging on the fridge.
:hugs: for you and your brother. It must be so hard knowing the situation and the danger he will be going into. DH talked for a while about going into the army but I said no way! I couldnt bear the thought of him going for so long.
How are you feeling? Better I hope. Any sign of AF yet?
Am I organised for this bub... Nope! When we (hopefully) get the stimilus payment from krudd we will be setting up Poppy's new bedroom the we can get on with organising the nursery. So much to do, so little time!
AFM - Just a fairly boring weekend here for us really. I am a little bit dirty that we arent going to get any time for our little family on mothers day as my inlaws have booked us for pretty much the whole day! I dont even get to see my own mum until later in the afternoon. I have put my foot down with DH and said that next year is about our family with a little bit for each mum. Things change a bit when you have your own family.
Have a great 2nd mothers day girls. Can you believe this is our 2nd??? Well for 1st time mummies anyway :)

PR - Happy belated birthday for yesterday. I hope you had a fantastic day!!happybirthday
AFM - I have a sick bubba on my hands. He has a burning temperature and is a lot more placid then usual. He sounds really congested so I think he has a cold (possibly the same thing I had last week:no:).
He's not too grizzly and clingy though (which Is how I would expect a sick bubba to be), so hopefully it's not too bad.
:fingerscrossed: it settles down soon.

Ryder is still sick.
He keeps going between hot and cold, has gone off his food (he will only drink milk and water - atleast he is getting enough fluids), sounds really congested and every now and then has a runny nose.
He has gotten so much more clingy and doesn't want me to put him down or leave his sight.
My poor little bubba.
He went down to bed at 7:00pm last night. Was up at 8:30pm and did not go back down until 3:00am.
It was an extrememly long night last night and I am dead on my feet today due to my lousy other half not helping at all.
He had Tafe last night. I understand it's for his future career and I won't stop him from going but when he got home (at 9:20pm) he went straight to bed!
Instead of asking "Do you need me to do anything", or "can I take him off you for an hour or so", he kissed my head and off he went. Oblivious to the fact that I haven't showered since Sunday morning (still haven't sorry TMI), and would have loved to hop under the spray for a 5 minutes.
Sorry for venting. I love being here for my son, but if DH doesn't pull his weight when he gets home from work today, he will be out of this house less one body part.
Oh on the other news, AF has still not arrived (12 days late) but I did a test this morning and got :bfn:.
It's ok. A few more months to let my body get back to normal and we will try again.
Really, there's no rush. It's not as if I hear my biological clock ticking. I just wanted Ryder and the next one to be close in age but 2 years wont matter in 5 years time anyway (and plus it will save us from having to shell out for a twin pram).
I will just have the third straight after the second - lol!!
Hails - Poor little man! I hope he is a bit better today :hugs: I am suprised you didnt smack your DH upside the head! Thats what mine would have copped lol. Have you tried taking Ryder into a nice warm shower with you. It will help to decongest him and you will get your shower. Kill 2 birds with one stone. That is what I do with Poppy when she is being a bit clingy and I am desperate for a shower. I just take a couple of toys in with us and she plays around on the floor with all the shampoo bubbles :)
PR - Glad to hear you are both doing well and I really hope you had a lovely birthday!
AFM - We just got back from my antenatal appt and all is going well. My official DD is now the 9/10 but I am sticking to the 1st. I think that sounds a bit better lol. Poppy is doing really well. I think she is all better thank goodness. For the first time yesterday I saw her dancing while watching Lazy Town. Gosh she looked cute lol. Standing there bopping around! I got some on video too. Not too much else happening here, juts plodding around the house for the rest of the day.
Oh, we have finally been stimulated haha. I was wondering if we were actually going to get it. So that means that this weekend we will be going shopping for Poppys bed and next weekend she will be in her new big girls room! I will post pics when it is done.
Have a good afternoon everyone. Where is everyone BTW? It seems to have dropped off again in here...

ANG - Glad to hear your pregnancy is going along well.
Ooh, cant' wait to see pics of Poppy's new bedroom!!!
AFM - Ryder is still sick but I finally got my shower last night.
Also after another long, horrible, sleepless night last night, DH has stayed home from work today to help me out and let me get a bit more shut eye.
5 hours of sleep in 3 nights had my barely hanging on so thankgod he finally decided to pull his weight.
:fingerscrossed: Ryder is on the mend and we can all sleep peacefully tonight.
Hails - Did you try taking Ryder into the shower with you? It really does work :) Its good that your DH stayed home to help a bit more. It is a shame that it sometimes takes an almost break down for them to notice huh?
We had play group today which was awesome! Mel (QTB) told us about this place called Wriggle It and it was great. Heaps of cool toys and loads of room for the kiddies to play in.
Bedroom shopping day for us tomorrow, I cant wait.
Have a good weekend to those who still read along. Hopefully those MIA come back soon, I miss all the chatter!

Hi Ladies
Hails I just read your posts about Ryder being sick and not sleeping:hugs:.
Paige was the same about 2 weeks ago. I thought it was teeth at first because it was just temps and dribbling everywhere. It then went to congestion and a rattle in her chest.
We had a night where she woke after being in bed for an hour and then would scream when trying to put her back to bed for a few hours after, then would wake up again an hour later. We got no sleep and even took her in our bed for a bit just to get some sort of rest. At about 3am we got the heater out and she slept for a few more hours. Don't know if it was the heat that helped or if she was so tired that she slept longer.
The following night we put the humidifier on because her chest was worse and she was having more trouble breathing and she had a much better sleep. (not through but better)
I would highly recommend the humidifiers with a bit of vicks liquid in them. keeps the room warmer too.
I hope Ryder is feeling better now. Paige is back to normal apart from a rattle when she breaths but the doc isn't concerned.
Ang- how did you go with your shopping? looking forward to the pics!
meggs- can't believe you are posting so often when on holidays. much more than those of us still here!:yelclap:
Paige and I had a wonderful time with some of the Brissie girls & bubs on Friday. It would be nice to catch up with them more often.
Better head off, hopefully I will get time this week to drop back.

Hey ladies
Well Ryder finally came good around Thursday. It was a long week last week that's for sure.
I did take him in the shower with me. I dropped a little eucalyptus oil and the steam spread it around so it helped clear up his nose.
He is running around, snot free without a memory of last week:laughing:
We will be going back to playgroup this week which i'm sure Ryder is really looking forward to!
We went over to a friend's house for dinner Saturday night and had the best time!
Ryder was so well behaved, the food was fantastic and it just felt so great to be out of the house surrounded by grown ups!
MUM2SNUGGLEBUG - So glad to hear Paige is so much better aswell.
Ryder didnt' have the rattling in his chest but he did have the temperatures, constant dribbling and leaky nose.
I hated feeling so helpless and not being able to make him feel better.
MEGGS - Sounds like you are havinga fantastic time!! Niagara Falls is meant to be beautiful. Be sure to take some photos so we can all drool over them!
ANG - How did you go with your bedroom shopping??
We are in desparate need of a new bed but will wait for interest free terms to come.
"WRIGGLE IT" for a playgroup name is absolutely adorable!!
Meggs - I hope you had fun at Niagara Falls. Did you go on the boat trip? We did that then went and had lunch at the restaurant on top of the Hilton with views of the falls. Very nice. Did you check out Niagara (the village)? It is like something out of a story book! How long until you get back now? I cant wait to see some piccies :) I hope Em is feeling a bit better and has settled into a decent sleep routine.
M2SB - We had fun too! I will send another email out on FB so we can catch up again next week :)
Hails - I am glad that Ryder is feeling alot better. Nothing worse than a sick bub hey? I love going out for dinner. Not having to think about what to have, or clean up and you just get to relax for a change!
AFM - We got Poppy's new bed on the weekend. So we pretty much just need to put her room together now wahoo! We also need to still get the bedside and tallboy but they will have to wait for a bit. Kids bedroom furniture is sooo expensive!! We know what we want anyway. Hopefully we will be able to put it all together this weekend and I can post piccies next week.
We are in a transition period with Poppy's sleep at the moment. We have removed the middle of the night bottle completely now and she is actually sleeping longer until 6.20am instead of 5am! She still wakes in the night, but it is just a matter of tucking her in and giving her a kiss and she is asleep again.
Mum called me yesterday to let me know that she wont be able to come to my scan as she just got a job :( Its good that she got a job but I am a little sad that she wont be able to come to the scan with us. I will post pics of bub on Friday :)
Have a lovely day everyone. It is pouring rain here today and I am loving it. What a great day for baking haha.
Ang xx
Hey All,
ange - yay for your scan!!! Cant wait to see bub:) I have actually been to niagara before and did the maid of the mist so this time is for Emmy so wont do the boat but walk around there, the village is gorgeous i cant wait to go back!!!! The weather here will be warm this week so its on our list...
Hails- glad ryder is doing better:) it is awful when they are sick... playgroup sounds fun too, i need to join one soon...
Mum2Snugglebug - haha i miss everyone still and Em still naps so have some free time and like to keep up to date with everyone anyway!

Hi!
We had an absolutely fantastic, busy day Monday.
I met a friend (who I havent' seen in a while) and we went for a very long walk around the lake.
Walking and Chatting whilst our bubs slept, it was the best of all worlds!! lol:laughing:
Monday afternoon I went to Mother's group.
Ryder had a great time following the other kids around and eating the dirt in the backyard.
He really did have the best time which made me determined to make more of an effort. It's at my house next week so atleast it's the beginning!
Today we are going to playgroup and then my best friend is coming over to catch up. Can't wait - another busy day!!

Well as most of you know I have been having trouble with Ryder sleeping throughout the night.
I'm pleased to announce that last night we had a small success.
Ryder woke up at 12:30am wanting to come into our bed.
I left him crying until 12:45am in the hope that he would go back to sleep but when he didn't I went into his room and checked on him.
As soon as I appeared he stopped crying because he thought I was going to pick him up. I felt him to make sure he wasn't wet and then put the blankets back on him.
Once he realised that it wasn't going to happen his way he started bawling his eyes out.
I kissed him and told him I would see him in the morning, put his lullaby on and left the room.
He proceeded to cry off and on until around 3am. There would be 20 minute pauses but then he would cry again for 10 minutes.
This repeated itself most of the night until after 3am it stopped and I didn't hear from him again until 7:00am this morning:smiliedance:
I was so happy and even though I was awake most of the night, I still feel refreshed as if I had a nice sleep because I didn't have to put up with him tossing and turning and carrying on in our bed.
I really, really hope this is the start:fingerscrossed:
I have mother's group here today which should be good. I'm actually looking forward to it.
Hope everybody else is doing well and really hope to hear from someone, anyone soon!!

Hails,
Sorry, I'm here and have been reading along but never quite get the time to post.
Sounds like you're onto a good start with Ryder. :fingerscrossed: it all works out soon.
AFM, well there's not much happening here. I'm supposed to be working today, but am off sick. I've had a cold for over a week now and think it's turned into a sinus infection - my face is so sore it hurts to touch it and I'm not getting much sleep. I'm going to try and get to see a dr this afternoon.
We had Will's third birthday party yesterday. I felt so blah that I had thought about cancelling but he was so excited that I just couldn't do it, so I soldiered on. I'll put some pics on FB when I get the chance. Still can't believe my big boy is three tomorrow! This time three years ago I was running around the shops, knowing that I was going to be induced later that day. Little did I know what I was in for!
Hails - Yay for your persistence! We are being the tough nuts this weekend with Poppy. Ever since she has been sick, she has been waking wanting her bottle again in the middle of the night. That so has to stop!
W&E - Nice to hear from you. Sorry to hear you arent well. DH just got over a sinus infection as well, they arent pretty. I hope you get some antibiotics and recover quickly.
I had the same feelings as you when Poppy turned 1. While it is really exciting to watch them growing up and becoming their own little people it is also really hard to say goodbye to your little babies!
Meggs - Its always hard coming home from an awesome holiday. It just means you will have to save heaps for your next one ;) What day do you arrive? Looking forward to seeing some of your holiday snaps.
AFM - The scan on Thursday went really well. Our little bub is doing really well and measuring right where it should. I am getting blue vibes from this bub for some reason even though we didnt find out the sex. I guess I will find out in 4 mths!
Poppy hasnt been well again. I told my doctors receptionist to reserve a seat in the waiting room for us as it seems like we are always there. We sent away some more poo samples last Friday and I am hoping that it comes back clear (just a bug) and not still salmonella. On the plus side, she had her first solid poos since the end of March today, so wahoo!
We havent been up to too much else, just plodding along and having a bit of quiet time as both Poppy and DH havent been well. I still havent posted pics of the scan yet, hopefully tomorrow.
Have a good evening ladies.

Hi gals, sorry im not in here more often! I do pop in regularly and read through on what you are all up to!
As for me, well baby girl and I had to take a little trip to my families as I have been sick as a dawg and needed to be looked after! I was worried I have viral meningitis as I had a sore neck and could hardly move it and was throwing up. In fact, i've lost 3 kilo since getting sick. Turns out i'm just really unlucky and have the 3 virus's going around all at once. I'm still at the family house and hoping to get back home tomorrow, I miss my bed and bay girl misses hers too.
Baby girl is great with her sleeping these days, I think sleep school was the best thing I ever did. The only time I have trouble at night with her now is when a tooth is erupting or when she is very sick. Otherwise she is good as gold and sleeps her 12 hours most nights.
At the moment she is stuffed up and teething, so i'm expecting co sleeping tonight, it frightens me because i really don't want her to get the stomach virus i've had as it's ghastly and the last time she had gastro we ended up at the children's hospital with her - poor wee thing.
As for me, well I guess you will have seen my minimakeover on Facebook. I feel I have blossomed. My life experiences to this point have somehow been the making of me. Once I had the new hair do I looked i the mirror and I was like 'there, she is, there's the girl that I know has always been in me'... now i'm going to go and do one more little thing just for me...
TATTOO! Hahaha - won't go into what or where, but needless to say it will be small enough for me to know it's there and for nobody else to really see it.
Did you all see my birthday party photos? What a scream!
Anyhoo ... will try to come back and do personals when i'm feeling a bit better.
Meggs, I can't wait to hear all about your trip on FB, I'm hoping to go to Niagra next year with the family - I think I mentioned that already.
Angroc, yay for BFP! Not long to go - wow!!
HailsNTwang, good work on the sleeping, they say you'll have one bad night and then that will be it - maybe two max, so stick with it.
W&E, how was the birthday party? I love kids party's.
Okay bed for me, i'm feeling like spewing again - bleugh - when will it end...

ANOTHER SUCCESS LAST NIGHT :yelclap::smiliedance:
Ryder slept all the way through to 5:00am and then once in our bed went back to sleep until 8:00am.
I couldn't believe it! I really, really hope that this is the beginning of the end of his night time drama.
PHOENIX RISING - I really hope you feel better soon. I had the flu but to get a stomach bug on top of that - well ... i can really only imagine.
I know how bad I was, my sympathy goes out to you.
Hopefully one night in your own bed will have you feeling so much better.
Your birthday looked unreal!! Glad to see you had a fab time!!!!
ANGROC - Blue vibes hey! Fingers crossed:fingerscrossed:
It seems like Poppy has been sick for a while now. I'm keeping everything crossed that her sample comes back clear.
Ooh, good luck with stopping the night time bottles. I'm reasonably lucky with that Ryder never wanted a bottle during the night since I stopped feeding him every 3-4 hours.
Keep us posted!
WILL&EVIE - I hope you feel better soon too. Gosh, it's really getting around isn't it?
happybirthday To Will.
Three years old today!!! Has it flown by??
I hope he has an extra, extra, extra special day!!!
Oh yeah - The other day I requested a 2010 Brochure from tafe saying which courses are on offer next year.
As you all know I want to move into the Human Resources / Occupational Health and Safety field (kina like Work safe). Well they have a night time course on offer for Human Resources which won't work because it's travelling 60km there and back 3 nights a week and we couldn't afford the petrol, but with the OH&S course it's a blended course which means I can do most of it from home.
I'm going to be enquiring about it today.
I'm hoping that if I do that course next year, then we will move somewhere closer to a Tafe or Uni that offers the Human Resources Course and I will be able to routinely go.

:bee:HI GUYS!! Sorry, been awhile again. I'm just not that good at keeping up! Hope all is well. Any more UTD I need to know about?? I did read some exciting news on fb about some more trying happening!! YAY - but glad it's not me. I'm really starting to enjoy sleeping regulary again. Arrhhhh sleep - I love it!
I'll have to be fast. House inspection 2mrw and a 5th b'day party to prepare for for next friday. (princesses and butterflies). After many many weeks of negoitation our house sale fell through (they couldn't get their finances sorted out). We were so dissappointed because they dragged us along for so long - but life it like that. Now we're got it back on the market util the end of July. If it doesn't sell we're just gunna stay put for a few years more.
Georgie is great. Still not walking. She must be pretty much the only one still crawling now. Give her a few more weeks and I think she'll be there. She'll walk all day if you hold her hands - but don't really have time for that!!!
MEGGS - you must be almost due to come home. Been following you on FB. Hope the sydney stay over works out ok!! Looking forward to some more scrabble!!!!
HAILS - looking into new courses sounds fun. Hope it all works out for you.
ANGROC - can't believe you are so far along already. YAY for blue vibes.....
Ok better dash - I have a three yo telling me her sister hit her and a 5 year old saying - but she hit me first!!
See ya

I'm here Caz, I just have nothing very exciting to contribute.
Miss Evie is getting her eye teeth (top and bottom) and has been driving me craaaaazy with sleepless nights, so I've been a bit too tired to come up with anything interesting to say.

I'm here girls! Lurking as per usual...
News... baby girl is walking, talking! hahaha... actually walking from room to room now - has been for ages, but you know creeping around the furniture and little steps between things - now she is actually walking, startly properly the other day. Hilarious - she's so pleased with herself.
Also, my business is going really well - I got a new client *chaching* very happy indeed !!
My new loungeroom furniture arrived as well, gorgeous matching armchair and ottoman to go with my couch - makes my lounge feel like a really family room now - love it.
Did i mention how sick i was? I lost 3 kilo - not a big deal - I don't really mind actually - hahaha

Phoenix Rising congrats on the little girl walking :yelclap: !!! It's great isn't it. April has been walking for a couple of weeks now & they look so cute toddling around. Also don't you just love getting new furniture! I love the smell! Congrats on your business & I hope you are feeling better now!
Will&Evie April is getting some bigger back teeth too but it doesn't seem to be giving her much grief which is good! I hope Evie's teeth stop hurting her soon.
Hows everyone else going?
Hi Girls :)
Another one MIA as well! We have been really busy and I havent had much computer time.
PR - Yay for Bub walking. I hope you have your running shoes on as you wont be able to stop her now lol.
LBB - happybirthday !! Let us know when you find out about the job. Which PP store is it and do staff discounts apply to friends as well lol??
W&E - I hear you on the nasty teeth and no sleep! Poppy has been getting her molars for the last month and has been miserable the whole time. I hope Evie's eye teeth come through soon :hugs:
SSU - Bummer big time about your house! Have you had any other interested buyers look through? Sometimes its easier just to stay put. Selling is such a pain but nice and exciting when all goes smoothly! Im sure Georgie isnt the only one not walking. At Wriggle it last week there was a 16mth old girl who had only been crawling for 2 mths! Having a slow moving bub is a good thing too, especially when you are carting around a big tum like me lol.
Hails - How did you go with the course enquiries? Hopefully you can get into something you want. Good work on Ryder sleeping without the bottle and settling alot better! We still havent taken the night bottle away... I am building myself up!
Meggs - Welcome home honey! Im looking forward to seeing your pics  I will have to check out your profile on FB.
AFM - Poppy's last test results came back clear :smiliedance:. Such a relief! We have been so busy but dont really know what we have been doing lol. Life I guess. Poppy is doing really well. She now runs everywhere instead of walking, very hard to keep up with! I ended up buying one of those back pack harnesses and will try it out on Friday when we go to the shops as she hates being in the pram now. It should be interesting lol.
Squidlet is growing fast. I can no longer see my toes  and am feeling heaps of movement which is great. I forgot about this stage of pregnancy. As the third trimester gets closer I am beginning to cr@p myself a bit. How on earth am I going to cope???? I know I will be ok, its just scary to think that I will be chasing a 18mth old toddler while having a newborn bub. Oh well, Im not the first to do it and I certainly wont be the last lol.
We are off to the library today and doing copious amounts of washing. Where does it all come from???
Have a great day ladies.

Phew! Ur all back!!!
Angroc! Yay for big tummies!! My advice is don't think about the future to much just yet. It will all fall into place. I've found each time you go thru a big stretching period (haha physically and mentally) and after that life just goes back to normal and you cope just fine. The funniest thing is changing nappies at 40 weeks. I just sat on the floor with my legs straigh on either side up bubs in the middle. Then bubs would get up and run off and I'd just stay there for ages and ages. Until someone needed me.
Thanks for the support with the house. I am starting to think it would be better to stay put for a while. If we do we're gunna build and extention and make a big sunroom, family room, playroom. Which will be cool.
W&Emum. Yeah where in the messy teething stage too. Never seen so much drool. Georgie is the droool queen. How's the job going - back in the swing of it now.
ladybugblue84 Wow I can remember shopping at Carindale when I lived in Brissy. Love it. I used to live in the units at the corner of Creek Rd and Upper Mt Gravatt Rd - back in the early 90s when I was flatting with my chickybabe friends. Good Luck!
Hails Where are you? What are you up to? hope thing are great with Ryder and the family. I do love yoru family shot on FB.
OK - well I found my post as you can see!!
AFM We're all well and so far dodging all the sicknesses around. Enjoying the rain that's about. Had one of 'those' days yesterday. Been up alot with the kids for a few nights and was tired and grumpy. Stupid things kept happening all day. Like I forgot I'd put my towel in the wash and went and had a shower. Then the phone rang (before 9.00am!!!) and I had to get out and answer it with no towel!!!!! (we run a business so calls mean money.)
Apart from that I'm busy organised Caitlin's 5th b'day party on Friday. Princess and Butterflies!! So we'll be having 8-10 little pink princesses and their mummies and siblings over for a princess lunch. It should be fun - unil clean up time:)

Hi
It's been a while for me cause I got sick of speaking to myself:p
Hmmm, where to start.
Well we finally bought a new bed. It should get delivered either this week or next week and I tell you what, I am hanging out for it big time.
We really spoilt ourselves with this bed. It's just an ensemble for now and later on we will go out and buy a headboard that we like.
Ryder has two back teeth coming through on either side of his lower gums and one back tooth coming through on his top gum.
He doesn't seem to be suffering too bad though he does have his moments.
We have had to remove all phones (mobiles and landlines) from our lounge room due to Ryder calling people once you leave the room.
Last week he called a friend and then yesterday he called someone else. It's so embarrassing to have to say "um no, sorry it wasnt' me it was my baby".:o
I think he is going to be a good communicator:laughing:
I am so over living in a small country town. 5 and a half years has been way too long. I've felt like I have sacrificed so much to stay in this stupid town for Andrew and that payback is due.
He's got one more exam left before he's fully qualified and so has started looking at jobs (If he stays at his current workplace he won't get paid the appropriate rate for an electrician and won't really get to use his skills - there will be no moving up the "ladder" so to speak).
At the moment we are looking at Shepparton, Wodonga, Bendigo, Ballarat, Melbourne and Geelong.
He agrees with me that we need a change of scenery. I just want to live somewhere that's not just a flat plain. Anywhere with hills will do me!
Gotta go get organised for Playgroup this morning. Will chat again soon.
Hey girls!
Well we are back!! A bit sad having to leave I have to say... We are seriously considering moving there which Id love! Anyway had a great time but glad to have my bed back i have to say... Em travelled well considering she is teething and had an ear infection and a cold (no not swine flu ) so hoping she feels better soon...
Well she just woke so have to go sorry! Will be back to post more soon:)

Hi all
Well today is my Mum's birthday and I'm having dinner over here tonight on behalf of her special occasion.
I cooking Lamb Shanks in Red Wine (slowly cooked) and Choc Mint Cheesecake for dessert. Yum!!
Not much else to report on - still waiting for the delivery of my new bed.
Oh - Ryder has slept all the way through - without interruptions to 5:00am in the morning - in his own cot!! It's only happened these past two nights but fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: and can everybody touch wood (the tree kind :p)
Still not pregnant but I had a 51 day cycle last time which is an improvement from my 70 day cycle the time before that. We're getting better and I'm not so much in a rush anymore.
I have a number of weddings comming up and if I'm not pregnant for them than atleast I get to take advantage of the free bar!!
Have a great day - I've got some cooking to attend to!
Hello Beautiful Mummies,
I am so sorry that is always so long in between posts for me. I seriously need loads more hours in the day.
Hails - Oh yum, the sound of your dinner made my mouth water. I hope you Mum has a fantastic Birthday.
Meggs - Welcome home hunni. It looks like you had a fantastic time on your holiday. Wow moving to Canada...that would be amazing.
PR - You truely are an amazing mummy. You are a successful career woman while raising such a beautiful healthy baby girl. I take my hat off to you. :yelclap:
SSU - Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with the sale of your place. I have never sold a house before so I can't begin to imgaine how stressful it must be. I hope the big 5th birthday party goes well tomorrow.
LBB - I hope you got the job at PP. I am a PP addict. My DH has put me on a 2 month ban from buying anymore
Ang - So glad little Poppy's tests came back ok. I can't believe how quickly your pg is going this time. Feels just like yesterday that you got your BFP. You must be getting so excited.
W&E - I totally hear you on teething. I think we are finally done with this round of teething...It took a good 4-5 weeks but we got there.
AFM - As some of you probably know from FB I got a full time job. Well I ended up quitting after day 2. My manager turned out to be a royal a** h**e. I felt completely discriminated against because I was a mother "at my age". He made a point of saying that in front of the whole team. I felt about 2cm tall. I am not an overly confident person so it really shook me quite a bit. DH ended up talking me into quitting...telling me that I dont leave DD 37 hours a week to be made to feel bad for being a mum. So anyways I quit and now have a new job that starts on the 15th. I am in a team where everyone is a parent and they all seem lovely.
Also this Saturday I am having a 25th birthday party. I am really excited and can't wait to celebrate with a few friends and a few champagne's. Its not my actual brithday til the 13th but we thought we'd make the most of the long weekend. I am going shopping with my mum on Saturday for a fabulous outfit.
Well I should really go do some housework. I hope everyone is having a lovely day.
Enjoy the long weekend.

Hi everyone
LilMrsC we are almost the same age! My birthday is the 2 June 84 & I just had my 25th Birthday celebrations. Just went out to dinner with the girls & had a celebration with FOB's family which was good. Have fun at your party & happy birthday for the 13th! Oh & that job definitely didn't sound worth it, luckily you already have another job!
hailsntwang - your dinner sounded delightful! Also sounds like a change of scenery would be good for you & your family I am sure.
meggs welcome back! Moving overseas sounds very exciting!!!
Phoenix Rising congrats again on your home business sounds like it is going great guns! I wish I could start a home business.
sillysideup sounds like a fun 5th birthday! Oh & Carindale is good so big & so much to look at!
ASM - well I missed out on the job at PP :crying:. I thought the interview went well but I think I got knocked back as she realised I had no retail experience. She hadn't even seen my resume before the interview . It wasn't really suitable anyway as it was a casual position with varied hours & basically I would need something more stable to be able to organise someone to look after April while I was working. I think I was just blinded by the potential staff discount as I love PP clothes!!!! Oh well back to seek!
Quick question what's your little ones schedules? April is all over the shop with her sleeping patterns ATM. I am trying to get her to have one nap in the middle of the day but she still goes down for a midmorning nap for only bout half an hour & then doesn't sleep in the arvo & is just soooo tired all afternoon after 3. I don't want to put her to bed then as I want her to go to bed a 7. It's still so hard to get her to sleep, it's frustrating. Anyway what are your bubs schedules?
Anyway better get going. Speak to you all soon.

Hi girls! Just a quick post tonight as i've been out having business meetings all day.
I am SO UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY !!
I just found out that my other little project has FINALLY started making money, I am SO happy - cheque in the mail soon ...
That means my little business is booming and I can hire someone... who wants to come and be my office person !! hehehehe :):)
SO HAPPY !!!!

Oh PHOENIX RISING - I'm fully qualified in Office Work!! It's ashame I don't live close by:no:
Congratulations on the business venture beginning to pay off!! That's so exciting.
LADYBUGBLUE - Sorry about the job hun, although i'm sure you were right. Another will come along with better hours and more stability suited to a mama.
Ryder doesn't abide by a schedule. I tried, he didn't want a barr of it. When it comes to day time naps, occasionally i'm lucky (maybe about 3 times a week) and get an hour out of him, most of the time though he is awake from the moment he gets up in the morning to the moment he goes to bed at 7:30pm.
LILMRSC - Gosh. Your ex-boss sounded so rude! Good on you for quitting.
How dare she past judgement on you. What age would she fine acceptable?? Your my age. I had Ryder at 23 and I dont' see what the big problem is.
happybirthday Hope you have a fabulous time on Saturday at your Birthday Party!!
MEGGS - Welcome back!!!
I see your moving. What's the new house like??
My dad arrived in Townsville yesterday and sent me a text saying how he was sitting on my brother's verandah looking out at the strand and how the weather was perfect. I was so jealous!!
I wish it was me there, pushing the pram up the Strand, chilling out at the lagoon.
I hope Em's feeling better! :hugs:
SILLYSIDEUP - I hope Caitlin has a great birthday today! Sure sounds like the food is going to be great. The kids are going to have a blast - great theme!!
I hope it all works out with your house. Either way, whether you sell it or stay put, I hope you are happy with the decision.
Have you thought about Renting it out?? Rental properties are in need at the moment and you can have the final say over who moves in??
AFM - Well dinner went down a treat last night. The meat had a little too much fat for my liking so I think next time I will try the same with a Lamb Leg or cutlets.
Dessert was so delicious!! I have to boast and say I make a killer cheesecake! lol.
I'm having lunch with some old workmates today. It was meant to be at a pub but all of a sudden they have changed it to somewhere that is heaps expensive (3x the cost of the pub meal) and somewhere that pram access is extremely difficult (and if I manage to get him inside there is no room for his pram to go and no highchair to put him in).
Luckily my sister turned up from Melbourne last night for Mum's birthday and is coming over to babysit Ryder for me. I'll probably just end up ordering an entre', I really can't afford to spend $30 on one meal.
My Good Old Sis to the Rescue!!!!
They don't have kids so they dont' have to think about stuff like that. I'm a little annoyed but oh well. Gotta pick our fights!
Hello Lovelies :)
PR - Yay for being successful! Its great when you find something you love doing and you are obviously great at it. I would love to be your office person but I live in QLD. Logistically it might be a bit hard lol.
Paula - So sorry to hear you didnt get the job :( I am a big believer in fate and think that the right job is just around the corner for you. As for schedules, Poppy's is pretty well set. Wake at 5.30am, brekky and bottle at about 6am then back to bed at 7am for an hour sleep then play time until 11.30-12 followed by lunch, another bottle and bed at 12.30, sleep for about 1.5hrs then dinner at about 5pm followed by bath, bottle and bed at 6.30pm. Her day sleeps sometimes get thrown out but I always try and stick to a regular evening sleep time.
LilMrsC - Sorry the first job didnt turn out. There is nothing worse than working for an ahole boss. I did it for 4 years and was having constant clashes with him. Haha, im not the type to keep my mouth shut lol. :happybirthday: for tomorrow too!
Hails - Wow you have had some long cycles! No wonder you were all confused as the whether or not you were utd!! Yay for free bars at weddings. The last 2 I have been to I have either been BF'ing or utd and havent been able to take advantage of the free bevvies. Enjoy :)
Meggs - Welcome back lovely! How exciting that you are talking about moving to Canada. It is a beautiful country. Are you thinking about Toronto as a base? DH's cousin runs a real estate agency there and its apparently booming at the moment.
AFM - We have just had an awesome shopping expedition! I love shopping when you find exactly what you are looking for :) Poppy is going great guns. She was charming everyone in the Honda lounge while we were waiting for the car to be serviced this morning. She kept blowing rasberries on the glass door at the receptionist and had her in stitches lol. We are off to Seaworld this weekend for a fun family day out then up the coast to Caloundra for a long weekend next weekend. I am really looking forward to getting away. Its been ages!!
Well, have a good and safe long weekend girls.
Ang xx
Good Afternoon Ladies,
Ang - Dont you just love when shopping trips work out. I had a very successful shopping trip last night. I think I got everything that was on my list and I was still home by 8:00.
Hails - I hope you had a lovely time at lunch today. Sorry to hear that your friends changed the location on you like that. Some people just don't realise that taking a baby out is sometimes hard work and it generally needs to be at a baby friendly location. Also so glad your dinner went well last night
PR -I too would have loved to be your office lady but living in SA would be a problem...or at least a very long drive to work everyday .
LBB - Wow we are close in age. June is a fab month for a birthday I think...but I could be bias. Charlotte has 2 routines on the go at the moment. We are sort of in the process of going from 2 sleeps to one sleep a day. At the moment its either... Wake at 6:30, Nap at 10 for about an hour, Lunch at 12, Nap at 2 for another hour and bath, bottle, bed at 7:30 or Wake at 6:30, Lunch at 12, Nap at 1 til 3 and bath bottle and bed at 7:30. Obviously this can change a little bit but thats generally we we are at. HTH.
AFM - Not much going on here. Charlotte is at daycare today. I am madly cleaning the house for tomorrow nights party. I did just sign my contract for my new job though :smiliedance:. I guess I should probably get back to the cleaning.
I hope everyone has a fantastic long weekend.
Hi Girls:wave:
Sorry been a bit MIA....as some of you know we are moving! Found a bigger place and moving next week so will be a bit absent sorry...
Hope all is well and promise to be back more once we are settled...:hugs: to you all

Hi everyone!!
Sorry iv been so so shocking at not coming in here much, i havent been on bubhub at all really. every time i hit new posts a december 09 thread comes up and it feels like a punch in the stomach. so iv been avoiding it.
Everything is going great guns here, Harlan is well, BIG. 16kg, he has fat rolls and man boobs... but hes oh so cute and squishy! :D He started taking steps on saturday, so cute! :cloud9:
Brayden is well brayden, not much changed there, hes still a horror, growing up now and doing big boy horror stuff rather than babyish horror stuff! :D
Both Boys are in daycare 4 days now, and im working. Its been hard getting into a routine but we are getting there, up at 5am, not getting home til 5.30ish. The boys are settling well to it which is great.
I had LLETZ surgery last month, so no ttc for 6 months. i have recovered well though thankfully, the op wasnt too bad, had a fast recovery.
anyway, ill try and get in here a bit more regularly now! I feel like iv missed out on so much!
Hope all the bubbas and mummas are doing great xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

QTB, i'm so sorry to hear of your loss, massive hugs honey :hugs::hugs::hugs:
Megs, how exciting! Moving! Yeeha, I love moving into a new place, although the moving bit sucks, I love new places for some reason ... mind you love my current place so much I don't think i'll ever leave if I don't have to - hahaha...
AFM, well i'm still madly decorating, bought a gorgeous silver frame gilded mirror, it's divine, was just thinking about getting the little table that goes with it the other night when I realised I didn't have anything to put my glass of vino on while watching a movie! haha... bit annoyed with a friend who let her child put his sticky hands all over my brand new armchair, you can just see where the pink sticky marks are, it's scotchguarded but i'll have to arrange professional cleaning which is just bl00dy annoying! At least he didn't get onto my Ottoman. Off to the bedshop on Friday to order the rest of my bedroom suite, can't wait, it's beautiful wood and i'm getting a 6 drawer long boy and 2 bedside tables, just love them, then that is my house finally furnished! I must admit, I love decorating and so it seems cooking...
My friend just left - we did a dye job on my hair as i was getting ready to start tweezing the greys again - hahaha ... anyway cooked the most beautiful quiches in ramikins OMG they were divine! I did sauteed spinach and honeyed carrots to go with, yuuuuuuuuummo. It was so funny, baby girl was playing boo with her in the kitchen hiding behind my legs then popping out and saying 'boo' she's so funny! And then she was doing kisses and pursing her lips together to kiss her. We were in hysterics. She also got really excited at the dinner table with her apricot pieces, she looooves apricot pieces and pineapple... she was saying 'yuuuummy, yuuuuummy, yuuuuuummy' we couldn't stop laughing at her! She's so funny... too much personality for her own good. On antibiotics at the moment as she is a chesty child, i'm hoping she'll grow out of that - the Dr said that she will but for now it's antibiotics. He's not the kind of Dr to hand antibiotics out willy nilly so i'm not concerned.
I've changed her sleeping routine too - what's everyone else doing?
I'm putting her down at 11am for a 2 hour nap and then a catnap at 4.30pm for an hour - then up for dinner and then bath, play, bedtime by 7.30pm. I'm going to keep this routine now I think until she drops her daytime naps and then she'll have a 7.30pm bedtime during the week until she's in grade 6 I think.
What's everyone else doing for daytime sleeps?
Is everyone's bubs walking? Talking? Making you laugh a lot !!
How is everyone going for the percentile too?
Baby girl is 50% for weight, 75% for heigh and 25% for head.
She's also doing really well with talking, she says little sentences like 'i do it' and 'what's that' and is doing a lot of mimicing words as well copying what I say. She even says my best friends name - hahaha oh and the cat of course and my mums cat too - hahahaha - so cute.
Anyway, hope everyone is great. I had a bit of a shopping spree with my new client money, feeling a bit posh at the moment - hahaha :hugs::hugs:
PS. for anyone who wants to try my mini quiches here is the recipe! I made this up from watching Masterchef and it worked - hahahaha ...
4 ramikins
6 eggs
butter
cup of full cream milk
1/2 cup of cottage cheese
cup of grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of grated parmeson
1/2 cup of sauteed spinach
1 cup of crumbed tinned salmon
2 pieces of puff pastry cut into 4
Whack it all in a bowl, mix it up. Grease the ramikins with the butter, saute the spinch in a bit of butter then whack that in too. Mould the puff pastry into the ramikins to make little pies, no lids, then using a spoon fill the ramikins to the top.
Cook on 200deg fan forced oven for 40 mins. Add some pieces of parmesan cheese ten minutes before taking them out.
ENJOY !!

Hi All,
Thanks so much for telling me your bub's schedules it's a great help when you have something to gauge on. I have put my foot down & April no longer get's into my bed AT ALL! I'm teaching her she sleeps in her bed & no where else. She wakes up several times from about 2-3am in an attempt to be moved into my bed but I lay her back down in her bed everytime. I hope after a week or 2 of this she will get the idea!
Meggs - Good luck with moving! I love/hate moving. It's exciting to have a change of house but it's a lot of work & I dream of the day I can settle into my own place that I own & no longer have to move my copious amounts of accumulated crap.
QTB - long time no speak! Harlan is a big boy at 16kgs. April has always been big & I thought she would continue to be a chub bub but she has really started to slim down heaps since walking. I am glad your op went well & you recovered quickly. What job did you end up getting? I am on a casual looksy for a job at the moment. Just want something part-time.
How's everyone else going?
Anyway better go
Good morning everyone :)
QTB - Good to see you back on here. Sorry to hear you have been going through a rough time lately and :hugs: for your angel babies. Congrats on the job. Where are you working? Looking forward to seeing you and Harlan on Friday :)
PR - Lucky you on all your purchases! I love shopping for house stuff. Your house will look beautiful when you are done. I will also have to try your quiches, they sound yum. Poppy is walking (since 10.5 mths) and chatters. Evereything is 'this', 'mumumdadadad', 'no', and as with your DD loads of mimicking.
Nic - How was your birthday? I hope you had a great party :) When do you start your new job?
Meggs - Good luck moving hun. Have you found a moving company that you dont have to sell your first child for? lol.
Paula - Good work on being a tough mummy. Sometimes to get your sanity and sleep back you have to put your foot down so they know who is boss lol. It doesnt always work but we can try haha.
AFM - Poppy is now in her big girls bed, wahoo!! She loves, loves, loves her new room. She gets so excited when she goes in there and loves being on her bed lol. I think she is even sleeping better actually sleeping until 6.45 this morning. Last night Poppy went to her bedroom door with her bottle wanting to go to bed at 6.15pm. I have posted pics on FB if anyone wants to have a look. We still have to buy a step for her to get in and out by herself and we are also doing a book corner for her next to the window. I have my eye on a little chair and book shelf that would be perfect in her room, so in the next couple of weeks we will finish it off. I dont really want to put any toys in her room as I think bedrooms are a place of rest and calm for kiddies, not play.
We are off to Caloundra this weekend. We havent been away anywhere since before Poppy was born, so I am really looking forward to this. If you have seen the pics of our weekend at Cleveland on FB you would know that Poppy is prob looking forward to getting back to the beach too lol.
That is enough rambling from me for now. Have a good day everyone.

Hi Ladies
Well we're still waiting on our new bed to arrive:no:
I've been hanging out for a great nights sleep ever since we purchased it and that was well over a week ago!!
They made us pay deliverance fee for it so if it hasn't arrived by Friday, Andrew is going to call up and demand we get the deliverance fee back. (He likes to talk the talk but never walks the walk so I highly doubt he will though:p)
Ryder is a little monkey at the moment. He turns his toy chest upside down and stands on the top, tries to climb up the coffee table, climbs up the chairs - you name it and he'll climb it.
He has bruises all over his forhead from his falls (because he climbed) and on his shins. He has a permanent scar already on the side of his head, just above his eye from a really bad fall he did 2 months ago (he was running fast and tripped over and bumped his head).:o
We've had success with him staying in his bed alnight (atleast from 7:30pm until 5:00am most mornings now). Last night was the first bad night all week (not sure why, he just didn't sleep most of the night).
We have brought him a harness for when we go out. Since he''s been walking for so long now (since 8 months) he no longer wants to be stuck in the pram. We let him out every now and then but he refuses to hold your hand and you end up chasing him all over the store.
We figure the harness is a way of independance. It lets him walk whilst we can teach him right from wrong and to hold our hands (atleast if he does a runner he won't get far).
He's an escape artist and will go for any open door / gate, so the harness is our "insurance" that he won't suddenly disappear.
anyways - we are off to playgroup this morning so gotta go and get organised!! Have a great day!!:smiliedance:

Hey Ang I saw the pic's of Poppy's bedroom on FB (I am following you around this morning!) & her room is so cute. I love her curtains & the butterfly theme. I bought April her big girl bed but I am borrowing it for the meantime. I went out on a whim & bought her a bed & it's waaaaay to high for her. I am so silly. She's going to need a ladder to get in & out of bed. I also purchased a really big expensive mattress (because that's all they had left apparently & I was in one of those I just wanna get it now moods ) & I don't know if those side rail things like the one you have on Poppy's bed will even come up far enough on it??? Will have to get one & see but if it doesn't work don't know what I'll do? Buy a cheaper foam mattress to go on the floor for if/when she falls off the bed?
Have fun in Coloundra!
Phoenix Rising your shopping expiditions sound like so much fun and it sounds like your place is going to look wonderful! Must try your recipie too sounds delish .
Anyway better go, talk to you all soon

Megs - good luck with the move!!! So exciting moving but also stressful!!
Angroc - I 've just sent you a fr on fb. I though you were already there. Want to see how poppy is growing up and her room:). Home poppy's little sibling is doing well!!
PR - Yay for all the decorating and your business sucess. I love to hear your stories - they inspire me to expect more!! Keep on turning dreams to reality sister!! Will put some of Georgie's rountine below.
Hails - Can't believe you are still waiting for ur bed!! Sucky. Hope it comes soon.
QTB - where are you working? Dolla-ing? Your little men sound so cute!!
LmrsC - wow a new job - excellent. Hope the transition back to work goes well.
AFM - we're re-settling back into our own home. Sounds bizzare but after having it on the market for six months, selling it, the sale falling thru I've almost forgotten how to feel like you own your own home. Feels good. Now I'm busy choosing a school for Caitlin and thinking about Kinda for Liv. When we get that sorted we're gunna start renovating!!!! Building on a second living area and re-doing the kitchen (which is pukey pink - blahhhhh). very excited about it all.
Georgie is fab. Just started walking - a month earlier than my other two. She is still crawling most of the time but stand up and walks every now and then. She is still in her cot and I'll leave her there for another 8 months. About then I've promised my cot to a friend who is about 15 weeks utd. She will share a room with Liv and they already have matching beds - so i dont' have to worry about buying her one. I used the under mattress side thingy to keep them secure to start with.
Georgie is my first baby to continue having 2 sleeps after turning one. The other two magically stopped right on 12 months and went to afternoon only sleeps. Georgie can't make it past about 9.30am and then has another sleep in the afternoon. I'm finding now that one tends to be long (up to 2.5hrs) and the other just 30-60mins.
She eats everything and never stops moving. I still have her on toddler formula as she doesnt seem to cope well with cows milk. (oh yuckie poos!!) They say it can take up to 18 months and then she might need soy.
Well that's enough from me I think.

Our bed finally arrived today - at 7:00am this morning , so I'm thinking sweet dreams tonight.
After nights and nights of sleeplessness (no more then 3 hours each night), Ryder finally decided to grace us with a straight through night. 8:30pm - 5:30am.:cloud9:
I'm still feeling exhausted but a few more nights of this should do me the world of good.
At the moment I hate looking in the mirror and seeing the person staring back at me. My skin is horrible, I have big, black bags underneith my eyes, I have heaps of wrinkles underneith my eyes as well, I hate my hair and I miss my size 8 figure.:gloomy: (I'm putting my severe case of self hate down to my lack of sleep). It's made me depressed and made me look and feel so old.
As I said above, hopefully a few full nights asleep will do not only my physical appearance but my mental state well.
Hope all is well with everybody else.
This thread is really starting to die.

S&Rmum -Goodluck with the study - what a great idea!!
Hails! Hope you get a few good nights sleep. From painful yucky experience I reckon it takes 3-4 good nights to catch up from a bad spell. It will happen and you will feel good again soon. Try to take it easy on yourself until you get the sleep. I'v learnt now to try to ignore my feelings on those sleep deprived insane days. I just tell myself it's ok - I'll feel better after some sleep. Hang in there and enjoy all the time you get in that new bed!!

Hey Girls
Sorry I haven't been around much I'm having a really hard time at work with people making $h!t up about me and its really getting me down I don't work to deal with that and have been sick so many times in winter already!!! I miss you all so much and wish I wasn't working so I could get on here more times a day to talk!!!
Evie is doing really well, she is talking lots, hasn't grown too much and I am worried about her height atm, but she is running and talking lots and is growing up way tooo quickly! She loves daycare and has made so many friends and even a bf called Xavier apparently lol....which works out well because she has a cousin Xavier so she can now say his name lol!
Anyway hopefully will get a chance to come on shortly and do a proper catch up big big :hugs: to those who need it regarding sleep I know how you feel Evie is refusing to sleep in her own bed atm....so big big :hugs: to everyone!
Hi Girls,
Hails - Chin up lovie!!! Everything seems so much worse when you are really tired. As Caz said hopefully by then end of the week and some good sleep you will feel better. I look at my black rings and new wrinkles as badges of honor lol. Have a nice hot shower, whack on some makeup and get out of the house into the sunshine. That will make you feel better in no time :) How is the new bed??
Jess - Sorry to hear you are having a bad time at your job :( Office environments can be so *****y cant they? Can you have a sick day to ground yourself a bit. I always found that when things got a bit full on at work for me, I would take a personal day to take a deep breath and get things back into perspective. The other women saying those horrible things about you at work sound like losers and dont deserve the time it take you to get upset over their pettyness. :hugs:
S&R mum - good on you for studying. It sounds like you are really looking forward to getting into it.
SSu - Helloooo :) how is everything going with you?
AFM - We had a lovely weekend up the coast. It was so nice just to get away from Brissie. Not too much else to report here, just plodding along getting bigger and having loads of movement from bub. For the first time yesterday I was sitting outside with Poppy playing and had my arm resting against my belly and I felt a really strong kick. I grabbed Poppys hand but bub decided that was enough lol.
Have a good day everyone.

Hi ladies
Thanks all for your words of wisdom
After a few nights sleep, and with Ryder suddenly deciding that he likes to sleep again (*8:30pm - 5:30am), I'm feeling a little better.
I still hate the person who stares back at me, but she is slowly reemerging out from the bags and wrinkles. The moth is slowly turning into a butterfly again.
I just have moments (and they are mostly when I'm extremely sleep deprived) where I panick about being 24 but feeling 50.
I guess it sounds silly:rolleyes:
Our new bed is fantastic, feels like i'm sleeping in the clouds:cloud9:
ANGROC - Im so glad you had such a great weekend! The Queensland coast is what I dream about at night!
JESS - Oh hun, I'm so sorry that people have nothing better to talk about:thumbsdown:
It is true though (unfortunetly), the worst cases of work place bullying and b!tching nearlly always occure within an office environment (I'm speaking from experience).
If you are really upset hun (which i know I would be) go and speak directly to your Human Resources Manager and put in a statement.
Workplace bullying should not be allowed ANYWHERE! There is no excuse for this behaviour and dont' be afraid to seek help. That's why the Human Resources Manager exists.
Let us know how you go.:hugs:
SILLYSIDEUP - Thanks for your advice. I know I was just having a dark (extremely) week and I appreciate being able to come on here and vent and have all of you take me seriously.
Thankyou!
SETHSANDRUBYSMUM - I am on Fish oil capsules but didn't know about Evening Primrose Oil, will have to give it a go next time I really feeling down.
Congratulations on your decision to study:yelclap::smiliedance:
I think it sounds pretty doable - good on you!!!
hey guys just a check haven been in in ages.
nothing much to report just still on the TTC rollercoaster. Will try and keep up in here from now on lol.
Ok, so its been a bit quiet in here so I thought I would get things going again :D
Hails - I cant believe you are anxious about being 24. Wait till you turn 30 honey! LOL. Im glad you are feeling better. A new bed fixes most problems hey?
Bex - How have you been? here is some :babydust2: to help.
Meggs - Are you all moved in now? I hope it wasn't too traumatic for you.
AFM - Not too much going on here. Poppy is now only having one sleep a day. We are both adjusting slowly lol. The first few days she would only have 45 mins to 1 hr and was FOUL for the rest of the afternoon. Thankfully she is sleeping for a solid 2 hrs and hopefully that will slowly increase. She doesnt think she needs that much sleep but mummy knows otherwise!
I have another antenatal appointment today. I cant believe I only have 14 weeks to go. I guess I had better pull my finger out and get organised lol.
I hope you all have a great day and COME BACK AND CHAT!!! :D:detective::D

Aww BEX - hun you're not the only one still on the rollercoaster. Never thought I would be part of that group but atleast we have each other for support:hugs:
Our time will come again:yes:
ANG - I'm feeling much better with myself now. Ryder has only ever had one nap per day. Sometimes it's as little as 15 minutes, sometimes as much as close to 3 hours. Unfortunately he makes the rules on that one:rolleyes:
Hope Poppy settles down again, you need as much rest as possible!!
I can't believe it's only 14 weeks to go!! That has gone so fast (well from this side of the fence it has, not sure about how you feel:p).
I'm so excited for you!!!:smiliedance:
AFM - Not much has really been going on. I have an engagement party to attend on the 11th July and I have no idea what to get for an engagement gift? Any ideas would be great!
I have never met the partner and I can't give my friend Alcohol because she's pregnant.
I want something a little different.
Ryder is still not talking very much but he is learning something more everyday.
He's climbing onto the couch's. When you ask him where something is (i.e - where's the kitty?) he points at it.
He has so many teeth I've lost count!
I had to take his books away because he was eating the cardboard ones and then ripping them into shreds. We lost a lot of books that way -R.I.P.
Everyday with Ryder is a brand new adventure - nickname The Mini Tornado (given to him by his Uncle)

hello hello hello
how are you all?
im doing well. ive nearly finished task 1. assignment 1, :yelclap:
considering i can only read minimul during the day and crash course study at night im doing well. and tired.
ruby has now cut her top 2 molars so thats 10 teeth :smiliedance: and thankfully not biting mummy with those teeth.
her new obsession word is door. you ask her where the door is she points and says door. lol
she knows her brother and grandy and poppa and points to them when you say the word, its so amazing how much she understands at not even 15months.
because of the understanding im not worried about the lack of speech...... yet
she is still very attached to her (my) boobs so im worried about how she will go without me when i do my placement.
ang - good luck with the rest of your pregnancy i hope its going smoothly.
hayley and bex - hope you get your bfp soon
Majeevch - do you see a pead for evie. if so ask him about the height. are you and dp tall. im sure shes doing great:hugs:
ssu - my ruby is also having 2 naps  then again seth at nearly 3 is still having a nap
hello to everyone else i cant read back anymore.
come in and say hello. lets start updating everyone again
Hello, lovely lovely ladies!!
I know, me too, haven't been on for a while. Work has been taking over my life!!! For a job that's supposed to be 2 days a week, I'm working about 32 hours a week!! AAAAARRRGGGHHHH! Year end, so hopefully I will be able to cut back my hours in a few weeks! Mind you, the money has come in handy...
Thomas amazes me every day. He's been walking since about 10 months, He has about 11 or so teeth, he can say the easy words, mummuumm, dadadadad, poo, boo, lo, bye, and nana (for banana).
We are still going to swimming lessons once a week, which he loves. Luckily tomorrow is the last one and then a break for about 5 weeks over winter. (grrrrr its cold when you get out of the pool!)
Thomas is a climber, he loves to climb anything. onto the bed, onto the couch, up the letter box, into his toy box, over the doorways. He's also a pusher. like on the ad for the exchange thing. he loves to push his car, or the walker, or me, or the rocking chair... I have to get him a shopping trolley for him to push that around.
Umm, what else... I am applying for his passport this week. We are going to NZ in september for my Nana's 80th. Not really looking forward to the flight, but we'll deal with it.
Here's my poor effort at personals:
LBB - how the job hunt going? Has your perfect job been found yet?
Ang - I can't believe its only 14 weeks to go! Don't know about you, but for me as well, it seems to have gone so quick!
PR - have you found your office junior yet? Or are you just multi tasking until you really need to get one?
SRM - congrats on the study! Hope you are finding some time to enjoy it too!! Know what you mean about the whole still attached to the boob thing. Does Ruby take the bottle too?
Hails and Bex - some :wizard::babydust2: coming your way. I'm not going to start trying until the end of the year, but I hope you'll have me in the group then! (well, actually, hopefully you'll both be in the UTD category by then!)
Majeevch - I hope things are going okay for you at work. I so so so hate office crap! The politics and bull! Its so sad that in such a small place people can't mind their own business and get on with their work! Its not high school for goodness sake, and they need to grow up!
Okay, better post before I lose it!!

Oh my god, I thought that it was famous last words, as I went to another tab, and came back and it said no internet whatever, and I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
but my post is here.
Phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to take over this thread (insert evil laugh here)
After being away for a few months, I am now going to bombard the thread with useless bits of nothing....

Hey mummy friends.
Up before the girls so thought I'd check up on you all. Guess what? What I hear you all shout back at me!!! (doh). We've sold our house and bought a new one in Ballarat and are moving mid sept! Phew!! Been a long process. We actually took the house of the market after the intial sale fell through and then after deciding we'd stay happily - had two offers of our asking price in one weekend. Insane!! So i'll be busy over the next 12 weeks. All packing and moving tips and hints should be sent my way!!!!
Georgie is great. Walking finally. Still only about 15% of the time but looks adorable as she totters around. ♥♥♥ I love my kids!!! This age is so great. watcing them explore and find stuff out.
Hails - glad ur getting some more sleep. You have to go through it bad to understand how cr*p like is without sleep. new bed sounds so comfy!!
Bex -. Good luck with the TCC
Ang - wow 14 weeks to go. How are you coping with pregnancy and toddler? Sounds like your doing great!!
SRM - YAY for you getting your assignments done. I don't know how you do it - I really admire people who can study at night. All I want to do is lay on the sofa and watch TV when the kids are in bed. Good on you and I hope you great an excellent result! I think life rewards people who make tough decision to make a better future for themselves.
KK:wave: I hate it when you lose posts. Take ages to write them and then aaarrrgggghhhhhh!!!!! glad you found it.
Majv - hope things at work have improved for you. Sounds sucky! Evie is soooooo cute. I love ur pics with the piggy tails!!!!!!
Ok - girls will be stirring soon. so I'll be off.
:wave:all
Good morning lovelies :flowerz:
I hope you are all well on this dreary Friday!
SSU - Yay for Georgie walking. I loved watching Poppy when she was first starting out. They are so clumsy and get really excited that they can actually walk on 2 legs lol. Very cute.
I was reading on FB that you have sold your house and brought a new one. What a turn around lol. Things happen for a reason though and if you were meant to stay put then you wouldnt have received the offers. I am a big believer in fate :o
Kat - LOL. Nice to see you back after a big break. Im glad Mr Thomas is doing well. Hopefully I will see you today if Im not too tired
SRmum - It sounds like you are enjoying studying. Its nice when you can do something for yourself.
Hails - Cardboard is a good source of fiber lol. Enjoy your engagement party.
AFM - I am soooo tired today . I had a bad case of pregnancy insomnia last night and was up until 1am. Unfortunately DH is working out whoop whoop today so I was up at 5.30 too and I have a super busy day ahead. Oh well, such is life!
To all of you that mentioned it, yes, this pregnancy is flying by! I really cant believe it is almost July already. It is a very different experience to being pregnant with Poppy. I was always wanting the time to speed up so I could meet her. This time, I want it to slow down a bit as I am sooo unorganised lol. I cant wait to meet this little one but would like to be ready first!
Have a good weekend everyone.
Ang xx
Morning all, hope you are all well, and yes Ang, it is a dreary morning this morning. Will def have to get out of the house!
SSU - Congratulations on the selling of your house!! Big news indeed, hope the next 12 weeks aren't too hectic for you!
Thomas is currently fighting a cold, and I'm not sure if he is winning, but he is certainly whining enough!!!
Okay, over and out from us for now, well get back later....
Hello Ladies,
Thought I'd best be doing another post, before the week starts, cos I have a feeling its going to be a LOOOOOOONNNNGG week!!
Year End :yelclap::smiliedance::geek:
Have to get 5 payrolls out of the way, then reconcile 6 payrolls for year end before printing out the payment summaries, then I can go and get my tax back... yay!!
I feel sorry for Thomas this week, as I will be farming him out to my DH's family so I can go in to work to get things done.... I don't think either of us are going to like it by friday!
Well, I hope you all have a lovely week - hope to catch up again next week...
Kat:flowerz:
Good Morning Lovelies!
What great weather to start the week :)
Kat - I used to hate this time of year when I was working. Payroll at tax time can be very taxing lol. I hope the week goes fast for you :)
AFM - I am trying to get Poppy to have a sleep (unsuccessfully) at the moment as we are off the Seaworld for the day with friends. I really dont want her to be cranky!
We had a lovely weekend of socialising and getting things done which was nice and now have a huge week ahead. Is anyone going to the Big W toy sale on Thursday? I have my pages marked and am set to go lol.
I hope everyone has a great week and I will check in again tomorrow :)

Hi ladies
We had a massive scare last night so I had to rush Ryder to hospital.
He started getting a rattling in the chest around 4:30am Sunday Morning.
He was a bit lethargic during the day but was still eating properly and drinking enough so I just kept a close eye on him.
By mid afternoon he developed a "barking cough" kinda sounding like a seal and his breathing became more laboured
About 4:00pm he was just coughing and coughing and going all red.
Sounded like he was having touble breathing.
The coughing caused him to throw up and then he started choking on it (as he kept coughing one after another), started get a blue tinge, the rattling got worse and he suddenly felt like he was on fire, so I listened to my mummy instincts and rushed him to hospital.
His temp was 39, and they were worried about his breathing.
He was diagnosed with CROUP. They gave him some kind of steroid medicine that helps open the airways to allow him to breath easier and knocks it on the head and observed him for three hours to make sure he was on the mend. We finally got to bring him home around 8:30pm.
The nurse said if I didnt take him in when I did it would have got progressively worse and he had a high chance of ending up in Pediatrics.
It can be a reoccuring childhood disease (the normally grow out of it by 8) but unfortunately if the symptoms start the only way to stop it getting worse is to take him into hospital and get that medicine
Poor little guy, I was so afraid:crying:
We had no sleep last night although he's looking a little better today - still sounding awful in the breathing department though.
Doctor said it can hang around anywhere from one day to a week so :fingerscrossed: it goes away soon.

Hails- Hopefully we can get of the rollercoaster soon. Maybe even share a due in thread again. Has ur lil man Excema flared up with winter comming round. Charllettes is comming up a bit not as bad as last winter but still making her scratch at her face.
Angrog nearly only 14 weeks to go. Wow. That means I would have been just over 14. Cant believe its gone so fast.
Katkyle- You seemed to have succeded the thread has fired up a bit again.
Sillysideup- Yay for selling the house. Hope the move goes well.
Charllette had her 12 month needles yesterday a lil late but still all good. She ses mum and yay but thats about it. She mimicks you alot though so shouldn be long. She pionts at ur nose and ses something that resembles nose, its a start lol. She is still only just over 9 Kgs, people dont believe me whe I say she has just gone 15 months lol. She has heaps of hair and its heaps curly at the back. So very cute lol.

Well Ryder now has the flu.
Normally croup follows on from a cold but Ryder has decided to do things backwards.
His breathing has finally settled down (no more stridor when he breathes in and out), but now he was the runny nose, watery eyes, flemmy cough and just wants hugs from Mummy all the time (which is ok by me:hugs:)
He really has been through the wars this past week.
His Cousin (whom he hasn't seen since April), is down from Melbourne visiting and we are going to have to give it a miss until next time.
Luckily playgroup is on hiatus until the new term resumes. Ryder loves Playgroup and I would hate for him to miss it.
AFM - For my birthday we are getting tickets to see Britney Spears in Concert (DH has always had a Britney thing so it's more for himself, he's just using my birthday as a reasan).
Should be good if she doesn't pull out, though who could blame her if she does.
Thats about all i've got at the moment

hayley - oh the flu is horrid. im still recovering. im still oh so sick. its yuk. i hope your boy recovers faster then me:hugs::hugs:
afm - im having trouble breathing today. hospital said if im still sick to go back friday arvo or saturday morning:(
Wow the flu is getting everyone. Hope you all get better :hugs:
I had trouble breathing last night. I think I burnt my airways when I was scrubbing the kids tiolet with bleach. Not doing that again.
I knew it would be a long and hard week!!! Still haven't finished year end, but, am working on it. Have three days of work this week to hopefully finalise everything so payment summaries can go out!
Hi Girls...
So sorry to hear that you all have the flu (well, not all, but quite a few!)
Thomas and Kyle both have it at my house, but I have so far managed to avoid anything too nasty. (so touching wood right now!)
We haven't had Thomas weighed for a while, but I would say he's only about 9.5 kg max. Hes not quite 15 months old, but yeah, as he is a boy, he is on the bottom of the weight chart still. Meh, he looks healthy to me! He is running and climbing and dancing, so I think he will be just fine. (yeah, I am still a bit defensive about the whole weight thing, which is why I haven't had him weighed for a while.
I seriously do not know how you full time workers out there do it! i worked the whole week this week, and boy am I glad I have flexible hours! i couldn't get to work before 9.30 and trust me I tried! It kept getting later each day I went!
my hat is off to those that are in full time work! And don't even get me started on single mums, you guys really are the bomb! (that is meant in a good way, if you know what I mean...)
I am looking for an Elmo Live, they had them in the Big W catalogue, but they all seem to have sold. Will have to try and follow it up in the Target sales. They are $2 cheaper there anyway.
Okay, spose enough from me for now. Hope you all feel better soon.

Hey.
Just hopping on quick. I have a sick husband at home who is apparently too sick to do anything:rolleyes:
I remember a few weeks ago when I was really sick, I still had to get up during the night to our son, I still had to organise dinner, I still had to dress and look after our son and I still had to go down the street to do all the things that need doing.
Hmmm, next time the shoes on the other foot i'll know exactly what to expect:laughing:
Ryder is getting more and more of an attitude as each day passes. I feel at times that the only word in my vocabulary is NO. I don't believe in the terrible twos. I reckon that once they start walking thats it, no terrible twos it's just the terrible toddlers.
He is learning so much though.
He was watching playschool the other day and they were spinning around in circles so now when you tell him "round and round", he spins round and round in circles until he gets dizzy and falls over. It's hilarious to watch!
He's also eating us out of house and home. He has a bottle and 2 wheatbix for breaky.
A bowl of peach/pear/mango slices for morning tea.
Two sandwiches for lunch
A whole banana and 2 biscuits for afternoon tea
Whatever we're having for dinner; and then a bottle before bed.
He's still waking up during the night but is getting some pretty good stretches in between (3 - 4 hours).
Anyway gotta go, it's lunch time and hubby wants leftover soup:rolleyes:

so glad my kids are well.:)
seth and ruby are not sleeping through. and no where near close either. but me and dh are surviving
he went to a job agency today. so hopefully something comes up soon for him.
i am continuing my study and doing well.
lets hope we can move so we can be our own family with no added stress and interuptions
Hello Ladies:wave:
Sorry to hear you are still unwell S&R's Mum. I hope you get through it soon!
Sorry to hear your other half is not well Hails. I know the feeling. My other half is up half the night coughing!
Almost finished year end! Have to go in for a few hours tomorrow, then I think thats it. Almost. Kind of. Hmm, wishful thinking maybe. Still have payroll tax and workcover to go, but the group certs are all done.
I can't wait to get back to my 2.5 days per week, I still don't know how anyone goes back to work fulltime! Its so exhausting!
Okay, spose I should go to sleep before having to go back to work tomorrow.
Ciao
Katrina
Hahahahahahahaha, so glad I don't mind talking to myself.
Is this supposed to be the diary section? Who needs to write a journal, when I can just copy and paste everything I have written in here!!
Have started making my husbands things for his 30th birthday next weekend. I have an off the page '30' wooden scrapbook, that I will make pretty and have people sign on the night of his birthday, and then I have printed about 100 photos that I will scrapbook in 3 days ( yeah right!) from mainly between the last album I did for his 21st, and now. And a few of him growing up too..
Hmm, not too sure what I will be doing with Thomas whilst I am creating all of this.
Well, wherever you are, hope you and your family are well.

Hi
Had a fantastic weekend in Melbourne.
Went to an old friend of mine's engagement party and then after that DH and I went out on the town with his best mate.
We really enjoyed being able to get away, and be silly without a care in world for 24 hours.
It always feels great to come home to that first hug from our little guy though!
The girl my brother apparently inpregnated gave birth last night. A little boy, 10 days early, 6 pounds - named him Kyden Lee.
She did come forward and let my brother know that the baby was either his or some other guy with whom she slept with 14 days before my brother. The fact that the baby is 10 days early could possibly mean something on the paternity front. Either way we will find out soon, my brother is organising a paternity test as I'm typing.
He's due to fly down in a fortnight so hopefully all the questions are answered by then.
:fingerscrossed:
Anyways gotta go and put Mister to bed, hope you all had a fab weekend and hope to hear from you soon.
p.s - Just took ovulation test and apparently I'm ovulating so please send me heaps of baby dust:babydust2::fingerscrossed:. If I conceive this month then I will have another April bub. Cool hey!!:smiliedance:
Thanks SSU!! I was starting to wonder. If you are just reading, can you do a post to say hi??
No need to do personals, just an update would be great!!
Hails - sounds like you had a great weekend! I think it will be a while before we have one of those... I'm still breastfeeding, and we co-sleep, but I don't mind. But, your weekend did sound great!
S&R'sMum - hope this sinus clears up soon! So great to hear that Ruby is doing so well, and good luck at intervention next week!
So don't want to go back to work tomorrow. I'm still tired! Its surely not time to go back already! Plus, I brought work home with me and haven't touched it! Oops.
Well ladies - have a great week. Hope to hear from some of you soon!

KK, I'm still here reading when I can. I just never seem to find the time to post!
I'm in between night shifts at the moment, so while the kids are at day care I have the house and the computer all to myself.
Everyone's been going along really well here. Evie's just getting over her second bout of gastro in less than three months, but apart from that she's great.
She climbs on everything, runs around all day and doesn't stop talking. For a couple of months now her favourite thing to do is to climb onto something she's not supposed to be on, throw her hands out and yell "ta da!". It's very cute, but some days I get sick of dragging her off the furniture every two minutes. I've tried ignoring her, but she just ta das louder and louder until I give her attention.
Obviously her favourite word at the moment is "no" but she also says lots more like "shoes", "cheese" and "toot toot". I guess the last one is because her brother is such a train nerd!
OK, better go and drink some more coffee before I get ready for work again. It's been really cold up here these past few weeks, getting down into the minuses overnight, and the heating at work has been busted over the weekend, so I've been wearing so many layers its ridiculous!
Right, now I really am going. Sorry for the rambling post. Gah! I need more sleep:sleeping:

Wow - it's so quiet in here!! Wonder where everyone has gone. I guess we're all just too busy with kids and life and keep it up. KK - do you have a facebook page? Seems a few of us keep up that way.
 all anyone who does pop in!!
Ooh, now I feel guilty lol! I havent been on here in ages :)
You all sound like you are doing well which is great. We are plodding along here too. I havent really been bothered with the computer too much lately. Poppy is doing well although she is teething really horribly at the moment. The poor chook has had runny poos and nose since yesterday and her bottom is red raw from the acidic poos. All this just since yesterday! She seems to be picking up a bit today, so hopefully she will be back to normal tomorrow.
My pregnancy is going great guns. Bub is moving heaps and Poppy loves giving the baby kisses and cuddles lol. Her kisses are blowing rasberries on my belly .
Not too much else to report here. I will try to get on here more often to check in.
Have a good day girls.
** Good luck Hails!!! :fingerscrossed:

Hi all
Nothing too exciting happening here. April is sick with a cold. She says heaps of words now too & points to her ear, nose, hair, teeth etc. Nothing much else to report on.
Hope everyone else is going well :flowerz:
Wooohoooo!!
We got some more posters back!!
Thanks guy, saves me from looking like too much of a freak...
SSu - Yep, am on facebook. am friends with a few of the ladies, basically the brisbane girls meetup group... will have to try to find out who you others are!!
W&E - Night shifts huh... that must be hard. What is it that you do? I find working during the day hard enough!
Evie sounds like she is going great, apart from the gastro. Thomas is a climber as well. He puts his leg up on almost anything to see if he can climb up it or over it... Doesn't say Ta Da though, that does sound very cute, if not somewhat heart stopping!!!
Hi Ang and LBB
Ang - I can't believe how fast your bubs is coming! Scary to think that we will be having an announcement on here again!!!!
Okay, one more day of work for me, then I get to spend some time with my DH. He has the whole week off, and so far, I have worked it! Am hoping that I can make it a short day, but I won't be holding my breath!!!!
Take care

Yes April sooked all day today :hair: I think it was a combination of boredom, teething, cold & generally just feeling whingy. She's hardly ever like that so it was different for me. I am mighty glad she is asleep right now in my bed though mind you.
She loves planes & always stops to point at them no matter what! Jesse's house always has planes going over really close as he's under a flight path close to the airport & at Dad's they are heaps further away but either place she hears them, spots them, points & says plane or whatever it is that she means for plane .
Also April's not too much of a climber thank goodness. She does always try to climb up the side of the ramp out the back of dad's place rather than walking around & going up the proper way but other than that she doesn't climb much at all.
Ayway this time I am really going to bed . Night

Hi ladies
I have a job interview on Monday!
It's 20+ hours a week as Property Management / Office Admin.
The Organisation rents out houses for lower then recommended price to help beat homlessness and struggling families who are only managing to scrape by. The houses are nice, well maintained properties.
I love the idea of working for an Organisation that is doing something for the greater good:yes:
I have some research to do though, I'm going to read their most recent agenda so I'm familiar with as much as I can be.
I am stressing out totally about the interview though. It's been so long since i've worked that it's going to be hard to remember answers to some of the questions.
I really, really want this job. The people who are working now, if you can offer me any questions they may ask it could help a lot:fingerscrossed:
Not much has changed with Ryder. He's gotten taller and I reackon he is the king of climbing. He almost got over the baby gate yesterday:eek:
He has strong little arms thats for sure!!
My brother is down to organise the paternity test and all that and whist Ryder hasn't seen him since Christmas, he ran straight up to him, wrapped his arms around his neck and didnt' let go for 15 minutes.
It was gorgeous!

Remember me???? I'm a shocking member of "reading here but not posting" I'm so sorry I read the personals and then try to attempt it and OMG I just can't my memory is like a fish....ooooo look at the shiny bowl!!!
I'm going okay I have had a few health scares and have to go and have some more MRIs and other scans....hopefully it all comes back normal!
Hails: Good luck with the job hunni I am sure you will blitz it!!!
Meegs: Teething is the pitts I can't wait till they have all of them!!!
Will&Evie: You are such an inspiration I can't believe you are doing night shifts.
Ange: I can't believe it's nearly the end of July and you are due in Oct it has gone so quickly I can't wait to hear about D?, that is no good about Poppy's teething the acidic poos are the worst!
KK: Hope work and Thomas is going well! That's a shame about Hubby having the week off and you having to work I hate it when weeks off don't match up.
LBB: Evie points at everything all the time how funny is it! Maybe she is going to be a jetsetting pilot or a traveller :)
SMO2: sorry to abbreviated it's easier lol! That's good that R wants to toilet train Evie is in the habit of pulling her nappy down if she needs to go to the toilet but DF just think it's a coincidence. How luvly is it when they start to recognise things it makes you so proud! How is studying going?
Well as for Miss Evie, she is going along great guns, she is loving daycare has lots of friends and now DF and I can't go to the supermarket without seeing a little kid who points and goes "Mum/Dad that's Evie" apparently she is a popular little thing there....and has two boyfriends brodie and xavier and can say their names  DF is a little worried
She is talking lots though lately have found if she is tired and sooky she'll just sook. We are trying to get her to say "please" when she wants to be picked up or want something so she now goes "up, pwease" and then we she gets up she'll say "ta" so funny!
Does anyone elses bub (though they aren't really bubs more toddlers now) point to their nose and other body parts? Evie loves saying nose and pointing to it (and sticking her fingers up it ahhh) but you ask her to point to her toes, head, ears and she'll point to them too....it's so scary to think how clever they are getting.
Evie loves drawing and getting into the textas she always comes home after daycare with texta marks all over her hands apparently she waits to the girls have their back turn and bam striaght into them lol...
She has this cheekiness of getting something she isn't meant to walking backwards giving you the most cheekiest grin and then turn and run while laughing, I think we have a little trouble maker on our hands...
As for DF and I we are plodding along nicely, work is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tiring though I am really loving my job as I have just changed positions and am now doing a National Retail Support (PA basically) for a really great boss!!! DF is plodding along at work sorta want to move back to Melb but whether it happens or not is a different story.
Anyway must be off....oh I am going to see Harry Potter this Saturday I am soooooooo excited :smiliedance:

Hi Guys!! Georgie woke me up at 4.00am and now I can't get back to sleep!!! Seem to be having a spell of very very early mornings. I dont' really mind because I'm getting sleep before hand and it lets me catch up with FB and on here.
Melj - good to hear from you. Evie sounds so cute. Isn't it great watching them learn and grow. Love it!! Georgie isn't saying any where near as much as Evie. She says 'Mummy' (which seems to mean anybody close by if you can help me!!), and 'tickle tickle' and the only body part she know is her belly -because that's waht seems to get 'tickle tickled alot". This age is sooooo cute!!! Hope ur health improves quickly!
Hails - good luck with the job interview. I'm sure you'll do great!
Meggs - Get back to our scrabble game you!! Seriously - everything settled after the big move??
SMO2 How's the study going? WOW Ruby is doing great to understand the toilet thing already. You might have her TT really early. How good would that be!!
LBB 'Ta Da' is pretty cute - think I'll teach Georgie that too! How's April doing?

Hi everyone! April is out at her Dad's today so I have unlimited time to myself. So much to do but I haven't seemed to be able to get my butt out of this seat in front of the computer. Hoping I get it out of my system soon .
Majeevch April does the pointing to her nose, mouth, teeth, hair, ear (she says eee-aaa ) & she loves pulling up her shirt & showing us her belly button. What annoys me though is when she tries to pull my shirt up to see my belly button or pinches my muffin top :o. It's amazing how smart they are becoming hey. Oh & April loves the felt pens too. I bought some new connector pens & she loves pulling the lid off & putting it back on (on off on off) that's all she wants to do & unfortunately as she isn't that accurate with it she comes very close to stuffing the nibs. I have to monitor her closely when she has them & even then she stuffed the brown one this morning which I wasn't happy about. I need some old crappy texta's which she can take the lid on & off all she wants.
Majeevch April is going good! She hasn't really learnt the ta-da thing but I actually started teaching her to shut her eyes on cue instead. She picks up things so quickly. Hows Georgie?
Hows everyone else & their toddlers?
Speak to you all soon

Majeevch - please let us know how you go with your health scares. i hope your ok :hugs: My study is going well. ive finished my first module and onto my 2nd. reading is the most boring part. but then i get to do more interesting stuff later:laughing:
wow rubys not saying clear words at all. just short cuts. like ba for bath and ro for roof. no for nose. da for dad and mum for me. but she is understanding alot of the words i say. like get shoes and she does. (which seth still cant do)
but because of my study (im studying the developmental side at the moment) im trying not to worry till 2years of age:o
we cut ruby down to one nap today and she did so well. will see if we have the same luck tomorrow. hopefully she starts sleeping better too.
sillysideup - she is still going pss pss and i keep trying her on the toilet. am yet to catch it. i think if i catch one she will get it. she did wee in the bath and i told her what she did. but am yet to catch one today. but i mean she is so young so im not pushing it at all. seth isnt even tt so i wouldnt expect anything.
ladybugblue84 - thats amazing how your dd draws. ruby just shoves everything in her mouth:hair: even crayons and pens. then again thats what seth does. so she copies
how is everyone else going.
Hey Ladies!
Another exciting Sat night in our household haha..
Not much to report on here, teething seems to have a settled a bit,Em is sleeping well at night 7-7 so cant complain and we too are doing one sleep a day...
Majeevch - yay to see you back missed you!!!! Promise you will let us know how your results are...you soooo need to move up here to the warmer climate! I cant believe how clever Evie is! Do you think daycare has kinda helped her develop more quickly? How are wedding plans coming?
LBB- did you end up getting some things done? Must be nice to have some time to yourself..
Studymumof2 - you are amazing to be able to study!!! I only have one child and couldnt imagine anything else haha..good on you!!!!! How's Brissy life??
SSU - thanks for keeping me company so much with scrabble:) Have you managed to get some boxes??
Ange - how's things? Hope all is well with you and Poppy:)
Hails - Is Ryder all better now? Hope you enjoy having your family there too!

Meggs I didn't end up doing anything productive at all, except wishing April was back here. She's not getting dropped off until this arvo. It's weird as the older she gets it seems the harder it is for me to let her go for the night! When she was younger I really appreciated the time out but now I just miss her. The sleep is good don't get me wrong, I slept in until 9 this morning!!! I also got the opportunity to go to a baby market this morning which I certainly wouldn't have been able to do with April (she'd just complain the entire time). Can't wait for her to be back though.
Glad Emmy's teething has let up a bit & that her sleeping is pretty set now. April's still a tiny bit unsettled during the night but nothing too bad & I think if she wasn't chopping changing from mine to Jesse's it would be perfect already. Has Emmy learnt anything cute lately? Everything they learn is cute at this age, even "no"
Studymumof2 April loves to draw but the crayons & felt tips do end up in her gob from time to time, not a lot but occassionally.
So hows everyone else?
Is everyone else's toddlers off the bottle? I still give April a bottle of milk at about 9.30 in the morning. I know I should give it to her in a sippy cup but it's just easier at the moment to give it to her in a bottle as it gives me 15mins break :o. She drinks her water out of the sippy cup & she has it down pat. April still has her dummy at night. Don't know when I will take that away. Probably when we are stable in our own place.
Anyway better get going. Lots to do before April get back.
Speak soon
Wow It's picked up in here.
Glad to see our lil bubbas are going along well.
Wow theres some real talkers. Charllette ses nose and pionts to it. When u ask her where her belly is she pulls her shirt up. Other than Juice Shoes and mum (sometimes dad) Not much.
Ow and she calls the pup by yelling pupupupupup and tells the older dog to "GET" lol.
She understands alot though.
Like put those bowls back in the plastics cupboard LMAO.
If you go out the front or even mention shoes she will run get them. The other day DH went in her room and said to her lets get mummies shoes out of ur room (she carried em there) The lil dear ran to the clean washing and grabbed a pair of socks lol.
LBB - Just wanted to add DD still has a bottle. I don't think it will be going anywhere soon. She is over the 25th percentile for height but only the 3rd percentile for weight. So she is on fatten up diet and needs the calories. My 2 1/2 year old still has a bottle if he has a nap during the day and one after dinner before bed.
I feel that its better to have a bottle and have em get the extra vitamins and calcium the need to set their bodies up for life than worry bout what "they" say. As long as u brush there teeth its all good. My eldest 3 1/2 Gave up his day bottle with his day sleep. Then I just started offering his choice of bottle or yogurt. With out me ever having to force him he gave it up on his own. I had to work around it cause both the boys refuse to have milk out of a cup .
Charllette didn have a dummy till 13 months when I had to take her of booby. The milk up set her silent reflux in a not to silent way. After a few nights of changing her and her sheets I started giving her a dummy the constant sucking kept it all down. Shes not allowed it except for sleeps and she generally spits it after about 10 mins. You hear it fly across the room lol. Once again with her weight issues I don't wanna do anything that might harm weight gain so she will probly be on it for a while. I wanna try avoid medical intervention.
TOILET TRAINING Charllette has started taking her nappy of. Tonight she took her nappy of and then did a poo. Now I just got to get her to go to the potty after taking her nappy of and before doing the Poo. LMAO

Hey girls just popping on quickly to say hi.
Had my job interview today. Think I went alright but only time will tell.
I'm pleased with my performance anyhow.
It turns out that the young Soldier who died in Afghanistan was one of my brother's platoon mates. They did service in East Timor together and used to hang out and go to the pub together.
He's pretty upset as you can imagine.
My other brother (who is also only 22) is heading over to Afghanistan on the 4th August (of all days his 23rd birthday).
His platoon was actually meant to be relieving the soldier who died:no: He only had about 2 more weeks over there and then he would have been coming home. It's real sad and has hit very close to home that my brother is going somewhere where he might get killed.
We're trying to be positive but there is always that little voice going off in the back of your mind:ecomcity:.
Anyways, hope all is well with everybody and will pop on again soon.
Cheers!!
(I'm off to spend some time with my brothers whilst they are here).

Hi!!
I GOT THE JOB!!:smiliedance::smiliedance:
4 hours after my interview I got the call everybody looking for a job longs to get.
Talk about quick!!
I'm going to be helping victims of Domestic violence, abuse, homeless and just people who are generally struggling to find emergancy and long term affordable accomodation.
I have my own cubicle and are earning more then I originally thought (Goodbye centrelink:wave:).
I work Mondays to Fridays 10:00am - 3:00pm in the beginning but the hours are flexible.
After time I will try and change it to 12:00noon - 5:00pm. That way Ryder is only in Childcare for 3 hours before DH picks him up.
I have got Ryder into Family Day Care with a long term friend of mine (we've known each other for years). I was extremely lucky she had one vacancy left!
Now I have to do some shopping. Ryder needs a Lunch Box, and I need some sophiscated buisness outfits.
Yay hails
Well just popping in to say
I got a :bfp:
Still faint no not getting to excited.
Especially after our lil angel bubba in march.

I'm freaking out!:hissy:
Andrew and I have decided not to try for a baby again until 3 months at my new job has past. I though originally it was for an initial 6 months contract so it wouldn't have mattered if I fell pregnant, but now they are telling me that I will be an ongoing Permanent Part Time employee of the company and every year I get a bonus and :ecomcity:
I ovulated Sunday night. My Maybe Baby said so, my OPT said so and my CM said so for 4 days.
We BD'D every day and now i'm convinced that this will be the month i fall.
After months of trying I will succeed this month. I just can't shake the feeling.
If it turns out I am and in 12 weeks I tell them that I'm expecting they can't fire me can they:confused:
I really don't want to disappoint someone who has given me a fantastic employment opportunity.
Surely they would have to understand:confused:
I know i'm jumping the gun heaps but this is how things like this work.
You give up trying for a baby and you fall. You get a new job and you fall.
It's how it works.
Thanks for reading, I just needed to get it out
*Vent over*.
:smiliedance: Hails on your new job!!! Cant wait to hear how it goes!!! Just realised my comment on your fb status this morning is irrelevant haha forgot about your job!!! What great hours too!!!
Congrats Bex too!!!! Awesome news!!!!
Not much to report here having issues with day sleeps this week, Em is teething pretty badly so hoping they break through soon..
lots of hugs to everyone!

Congrats hailsntwang on your new job! Try not to stress about the pregnancy & job thing I am sure they wont fire you if you prove to be a good employee & I am sure they will have a good idea after 12 weeks. They can't blame someone for wanting to expand their family & isn't it illegal or immoral or something to treat someone differently because they are pregnant?
Congratulations Bex how exciting to be pregnant! The beginning of a new journey. I hope the first 12 weeks go exceptionally well for you & the new little tiny bub grows & stays comfy.
meggs hows your new place going? I hope Emmy gets through the crappy part of teething soon. April has been a little upset of late during the night but I don't know if it's because I have upset her schedule (or things as she knows them) or because she's teething.
AFM I have a new job :smiliedance: it fell in my lap as it's job sharing with a friend of mine & she told me about it. It's just a basic reception/admin job (why the hell did I go to uni  lol) but it's so easy & no stress. It's from Monday-Wednesday so I am still spending more time with April than not. It sucks because technically I am only earning $300 more a f/n than what I was getting in the first place from centrelink (so that's $50 a day I'm getting paid to work) but $300 is $300 & I might be able to rent a place on my own now. Surprisingly enough it has been quite easy to leave April behind & go to work. I think it's because I know she is being well cared for by her Dad & MIL & she loves going there. And that I will appreciate the time I get to spend with her even more now!
Anyway I will probably be MIA for the next week or so as I get accustomed to working but I will speak with you all soon!!!

Hi ladies, sorry I haven't been around much lately. Haven been reading along and keeping up with everyone, just had some things to work through.
Hails and LBB, congrats on the new jobs - hope everything goes well for you both. You deserve it.
Sorry but that was my poor attempt at personals, as I have news...
I'm PG!! I'm a bit scared to say it, and I'm having to take deep breaths as I even type this, but I've just come back from a dating ultrasound and I'm already eight weeks. Due on 5 March. I've been freaking out for ages about it (Hails you kindly replied to a sneaky thread of mine - thank you:hugs:) and still haven't told a soul.
Please please please, if you're a FB friend, please don't mention anything on there as I don't want anyone to know until DP and I have our heads around it properly.
OK, have to go and get ready for work. Sadly on night shift, which is when ms really seems to kick in.
Love is all you need

Will and Evie and Bex CONGRATULATIONS :hugs: that is so exciting news :smiliedance:...
Will be back later for more personals I need to have a slight arrrrrr rant but none of this is aimed at any of you gorgeous girls but is everyone getting pregnant atm, three girls at work and part of me really wants to be again so there isn't a too big of an age gap but I know I can't cause of getting married and DF isn't too keen on getting pregnant now.....sorry hissy fit over........just wish I was preg atm....
BUT I AM SO HAPPY FOR ALL THE GORGEOUS GIRLS ON HERE that are pregnant!
Wow! I havent been on for ages and boy oh boy it looks like our April mummies have been busy lol!! Congrats to W&E and Bex. I have my fingers crossed for nice sticky pregnancies for you both.
Jess - Hun, that is how I felt when were TTC Poppy. Everyone seemed to be falling around me and I wanted it so badly! You never know, accidents happen ;)
LBB - Yay for your job! Good for you. I hope you enjoy it!
Hails - How was your first day at work. You will have to get on and tell us all about it. There is no way you can be fired for falling pregnant regardless of how long you have been working there. They arent obliged to keep your postiton open for you if you have been working there for less than 12 mths though. if you can wait 3 mths or so before trying again, at least you know you can go on mat leave and have a job to go back to.
Meggs - How is the new house? I hope you are all settled. I think teething is everywhere at the moment. Poppy is still a bit foul with it and is getting over a cold so has been really clingy and whingy. Super annoying. I keep telling her its lucky I love her lol. I will be glad when this is over!!
SSU - Hopefully you havent had too many more early mornings. They are no good in winter!
AFM - All seems to be well here. I look like a grot (lol) at the moment so wont take a pic but next time I am presentable I will get a pic of my belly and post it. I have really popped out in the last week. I have no pictures of me pregnant this time. I dont know why. I guess just not enough time...
Poppy is doing well. She has actually let me sleep in the last 2 mornings until 7am!! We have decided to move her bed time to 7pm. The last couple of nights she has almost slept through but woke because she was coughing. Hopefully this is a sign that things are changing. Dealing with only one child not sleeping through at a time would be nice :)
Thats it for me for now. I hope you are all keeping well.

Hello lovely ladies long time no hear.
Work is going fantastic!! I love it. It's so full on with no one day being the same which is what I thrive on.
Today I was in VCAT and tomorrow i'm away all day on inspections.
I'm just trying to get my head around everything but I really can see it being a job I'm going to want to stay in for a long time.
Ryder is going extrememly well at daycare. He is even having day time naps lasting 2 hours a day:eek::yes:
He also gives me the biggest hugs when I walk in the door in the afternoon that makes my heart swell:valentine:
CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYBODY ON THEIR PREGNANCIES.:yelclap:
I would love to be with you all (we've been trying for 8 months now), but atleast now I have a reason not to fall just yet. I know though that I will be pg in a matter of months and that alone makes me content in my current situation.
I'm no longer freaking out but I'm still playing waiting game until AF arrives and only god knows when that will be:rolleyes:
WILLANDEVIE - I hope I gave you some good advice. You are more then welcome.
To everybody else, sorry no personals at the moment, we're off the a going away Dinner for my brother before he leaves to Afghanistan.
He heads back to Townsville tomorrow and then leaves a couple of days after that.
ciao xo
Hello Beautiful Mummies,
A MIA April mummy here. It has been forever since I have had 5 minutes to pop on and say hi.
I have now been at my job 7 weeks....I am loving it and think I am finally getting used to full time work and mummy-ing.

Ange: Oh thanks hun :hugs: Yeah I know accidents happen lol but you have to DTD for them to happen lol been too tired lately to put in much effort lol!!! LOL ah you're allowed to look like a grot cause I look the same especially not getting any sleep and then being interupted by pregnancy waking and needing to pee lol! I can't wait to see your belly! I'm so excited for you and can't wait to hear the annoucement!
Hails: I am so happy that work is fantastic it's so nice to have a job that you feel challenges you and you can see staying with long term! It's Murphy's Law but I have my fingers crossed for you getting pregnant. Hope AF shows up soon it must be so frustrating. Big hugs for you re: your brother going to Afghanisatn big big hugs
Nic - Thanks hun :hugs: hopefully the next 13 months flies by and then I'll be pg again! How is work going for you? How special are the weekends and when you get home from work! How are you finding winter I find myself getting so tired I jsut can't wait for spring! How is Miss Charlie she is so cute!
Meggs - Ha ha ha ha ha I forgot to state who I was and considering I have changed my ticker too lol....just one of the girls from work has joined up as a member and I don't want her to identify me and my old name was the same as my footy tipping name for work lol....And it's so true Love is all you need! Thanks hunni :hugs: it's so hard being patient I am just worried that the older Evie gets the less likely I will want to have more...ahhh too much going on you are exactly correct! And the sleeping better only lasted the weekend ;(
SMo2 - Thanks :hugs: Yes it is getting very exciting except I am dreading finding a dress lol only cause I'm still not happy with how I look. Evie's not a huge fan of the swings either! I love your tickers I can't believe Seth is almost 3 I remember when I first joined on here and he was 1 1/2 I can't imagine how quickly it's gone for you and DH. And the WHO recommendation so happy for you that you are half way there it's such an amazing effort given the lack of bf knowledge and friendly people about bf to WHO recommendations!
AFM - We're all cruisy I'm working lots and getting tired but love it, I now have a male boss and I am a PA without the title (or $$$$) but hopefully I can prove my worth in that area! We are all so tired as Little Miss E doesn't want to sleep anywhere at the moment and with my health and lack of sleep I am struggling and have had a bad winter...also have been having some neuro problems but go to the neurologist to confirm and clarify everything.
Wedding plans are going well, can't find any dresses that I like, I've tried five different dresses on in different styles and don't like anything but that's probably cause I hate how my body looks at the moment still need to loose 10kgs and I'll be happy.
DF did give in and say "if you want to TTC then that's fine" but I want him to be more excited and not that he wouldn't be if an accident did happen but I want him to suggestit in a way and I know we'd be under too much pressure financially....lol I wish my hormones would just stay in one spot LOL!!!!!!! My boss nearly died when I said I wanted more kids lol.....him and his wife are expecting (his wife also works with me) and he wasn't going to do anything for her birthday but organising me got him to at least remember when it is and look at menus from nice restaurants as to what she can eat so that they don't go to places where she can't each too much and I just keep telling him he needs to make a deal out of this one cause as soon as bubs is here it will all change....his response " I know that...it's already changing" my response "Yes I was young and niave to think that way too lol....you think it's changing already well you ain't seen nothing yet" lol he just laughed! I thought it was too funny I had to share...
Hugs and kisses to all mums and bubs!!!
Loveisallyouneed - I was in the same boat when we got married. I like how the dresses looked on the hangers but not on me! I knew what I wanted and what suited me so I went to a dressmaker and had them make one for me. I let them know what my budget was and it went so smoothly. That may be an option for you. It was also way cheaper than buying one off the rack too. I had a fairly simple design and used cream silk and swarzoksky (sp?) crystals. That may be an idea for you. Im glad you are enjoying work. I was thinking the other day that I really miss the regular adult interaction. It sounds like you are doing what I used to. I was PA and operations manager for the director and was a position I loved.
Study mum - Poppy loves swings. We have one set up on our back deck. You will be able to see it next week :) It is one of the fisher price ones and is hanging from the roof.
Meggs - Lucky you having Em sleeping through! I think Poppy is pretty close too but has a cough (only at night) that keeps waking her up. Hopefully once that has gone she will be a good sleeper lol. I can only hope!!
Ok here http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2084982&l=dfe0d85d6c&id=570119367 is the link to my belly. I cant believe these are the first pics I have taken. Talk about slack!!
Hello lovelies!
How wonderful to see so many of us posting again; it’s almost like old times. I am so thrilled for all you mummies who have been blessed with another pregnancy. I am going to enjoy sharing in your special journeys again.
Ang – I can’t believe you’ve only got 8 weeks to go! Has it gone quickly for you too? I guess having Poppy to run around after it will have. I don’t know why, but I am not friends with you on Facebook? I assumed you weren’t on there, but then I saw something you posted to Megan and I realised it was you. So, if you get a friend request from Kate and see my profile pic of me and Astrid, you’ll know who I am! I’d love to see some recent pics of Poppy.
Hails – great to hear that you are enjoying your new job, and it sounds as though Ryder is fitting in to daycare very nicely. 2 hour naps!? Are you just a little bit dirty about that!? Seriously though, it must be a bonus to know that he is happy whilst you are at work. I really hope that you are the next one I am congratulating on your BFP and I agree that now you have gotten this great job, it will probably happen. Oh well, the universe works in mysterious ways.
Nic – I just love checking out your FB pics of Charli, she is so adorable and her hair! It’s awesome! How are you all adjusting to mummy working?
SMo2- My guys love the swings but they are daredevils; Astrid is afraid of the dark and of toys that make noises like toy vacuums etc. We thought it might be b/c of her hearing aids, but she’s the same without them on. How are things going with early intervention? Are you finding them helpful? How clever is Ruby? That’s pretty cluey to put all that together.
Loveisallyouneed- I too like your new screen name. Sounds like you’ve had a rough time of it healthwise; I hope that things improve for you once the weather warms up. I sympathise with your sleeping issues. The twins are up 2-4 times a night, each, which is 4-8 times for me. Your wedding date is creeping up isn’t it! DH did a wedding expo for work the other week and I can’t believe how much is involved in planning a wedding! It’s a whole other world that I never knew existed. Hugs to you for having unfulfilled babylust. :hugs:It’s so hard but it will happen for you too.
Meggs – oooh you lucky duck, 7pm-7am huh? Go Emmy, that’s the way to have a happy, energetic mummy! I don’t envy your unpacking job though, it’s my least favourite part of moving. Are you feeling settled in now? I suppose you had to go through and childproof everything too!
Bex – congrats! How are you feeling? Will be crossing everything for you for a nice sticky, sticky pregnancy. Clever Charlette toilet training herself, it’s a good start anyway!
LBB – sorry I have been MIA for a while, so I don’t know you too well but I often sneak on to BH to read so I feel like I know you! I hope that your new job is going well and that April is adjusting to the change.
W&E – Great news! I take it this was a pleasant surprise rather than a planned pg but lucky you either way. It must be difficult keeping such a secret but you need to get your head around it first and I will be sure to keep my mouth shut on Facebook!
KK-that’s sucks that you and DH didn’t get to spend the week together. So you have a climber too? I am pretty sure that Astrid is part mountain goat. Sometimes I am impressed that she is so clever but mostly I am having heart attacks catching her climbing.
SSU – love hearing about your adventures with the three pinks on facebook. What an awesome mummy you are. The girls are going to have such lovely memories of cooking and having fairy parties with you. How goes the packing?
As for us, we are busier than ever. My two little Arians are go go go all the time! Both walking/running/climbing and non-stop talking. In Rylan’s case it’s mainly babble but Astrid has a lot of actual words these days which is awesome considering she has the hearing impairment. Apparently boys are often a bit slower but he definitely knows what he’s talking about and gets pretty annoyed when I don’t .
They are both obsessed with the Wiggles and to a lesser extent In the Night Garden. Ry also has a Thomas the Tank Engine fetish. It’s so cool watching them interact now that they are bigger and they actually play together. They also fight alot but i suppose that’s to be expected. We still get alot of attention whenever we go out being that they are 1. Twins, 2. Boy and girl and 3. Redheads! They have the famous redhead temperaments too .
Astrid is constantly toting a handbag and lucky for her Freya has many; Ry loves to cook in Freya’s toy kitchen so we may have yet another chef in the family. He is so serious when he’s ‘cooking’ and seems to know what he’s doing but if the girls go anywhere near the kitchen they get a right telling off, he starts throwing pots and pans and chases them out. Typical chef. Astrid thinks there is nothing funnier than wandering around with a tea towel on her head. It’s her evening ritual after her jammies are on and before bed. If she can’t find a tea towel, anything will do – a bib, item of clothing but she kills herself laughing and walking into things b/c she can’t see.
I don’t know when I’ll next be able to do so many personals but I try to keep up by reading every so often. Tonight is a rare treat: Freya is at a birthday party with Rolly (why would you have a 5 year old’s party at night time during the week??) and the twins are in bed. They are still bf a couple of times a day and 2-3 times at night so I am enjoying the alone time while it lasts!
Take care my beautiful April mummies. So glad I am able to keep up with you on fb too. Love those baby pics :bee:

Hello Lovely Ladies!!
So great to hear all your news now that you've had a chance to post in here!!!!
Ashlyn - Wow, can't believe you are still BF!! That is awesome!! (Me too, but only normally twice a day, morning and night, but I only have one!!)
Thats great news about the pregnancy's! Lots of :wizard::babydust2: and hope they go smoothly for you!
Congrats to those with new jobs too! I don't know how you do it full time! I went full time for a week, and we ate out all week, and the house was a mess!! And it took me two weeks to recover!
Thomas is a bit sick at the moment. I think he's teething, as his hand is in his mouth constantly at the moment, and because of that (well, thats what i think) he now has a cold and bad nappy rash!
Apart from that, he's fine!! Still such a great little man to be around!
Okay, he woke up now, gotta go...

Hey ladies
I've been a little sick these past couple of days.
Thursday I was dry retching the entire day. It felt like the worst morning sickness in the world. Whenever I stood up the whole world spun and I got some serious vertigo.
Wasn't nice at all:no:
As soon as I got home from work I did a pregnancy test (just to clear my mind) and it was negative so it's either too early to tell or it's right.
Had mild nausea yesterday but nothing near as bad - thankgod.
At work i'm in the middle of changing computer programs from the middle ages to the present time:laughing: Some of them are so time consuming when it could be done a whole lot more efficiently and quicker.
Ryder is still doing well. He cries when I drop him off and cries when Andrew picks him up but he's great guns inbetween. He just wants to pull at our heart strings a little.
KATKYLE - Hope Thomas gets through this teething business soon!
ASHLYN - What a post!! I know what you mean about the red head syndrome. Ryder is as feisty as they get. We still get people commenting on his hair and there's only one of him so I can certainly imagine what you're up against! -lol.
Sometimes I think to myself "gosh it's only hair, is it really that interesting, you don't see me commenting on your grey bits or your upper lip fuzz", but instead I just smile and nod my head.
ANGROC - Your belly is gorgeous! Absolutely beautiful, not long to go now, it's come up so fast!!
LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED - So true!! Love the name. Glad to hear your wedding plans are going well and it is true what they say, when you see your dress you will know straight away. It's good to be picky. It has to suit you and your style and the style of your wedding (meaning you can't have a big poofy dress and then a bbq wedding - just would seem strange).
You take as long as you need and be as fickle as you want. You want to be able to look back at the pics in 50 years time and still love your dress.
I'm sorry to hear it's turning out to be a bad winter. I'm hopeing the neurologist can help.
STUDYMUMOF2 - Ryder hates the swings. You try to take him anywhere near a swing set and he totally freaks out. I'm hoping he gets better with time.
Mum bought him a jungle gym for his birthday with a swing and a slide and he is terrified of it.
MEGGS - Gosh it sounds like EM is sleeping really well. Lucky you!! How is the bright sunshiny weather?? So jealous. I really will get up there sometime soon.
LILMRSC - Hope all is well with you and Charlotte. Glad to hear your beginning to finally get used to working and being a mum. I still feel guilty everyday and i'm hoping it passes soon.
I want to have savings in the bank and teach Ryder the value of money and I can't do that if I'm living on centrelink and we're just getting by.
I know he wont hold it against me.
Gosh. Thats it for me today, will come back on when I get the chance.
Luv ya

Hi Ladies....
Im sorry to but into your thread - I havent been on bubhub since a couple of months before me son was born....thought I would use some of my facebook time to do something a little more productive today:)
I have a little man born on 19.04.08 and a DD who is 2.5....and one more on the way due Dec this year....Crazy I know lol
But I was just hoping some of you could help me....our little man has been walking and climbing since about 8mths...and when I say climbing I mean climbing!! But we are a little bit concerned about other milestones and teeth...and only has 6teeth and he cant talk...he grunts and points and pulls us to where he wants to go but only says "Toot Toot" sometimes he may do the dadadada or mumumum but not often....how are your little ones going with speech and teeth??? We arent sure if we should be concerned enough to take him to a speech pathologist or just keep waiting and it will happen in time - trying not to compare him with his sister...he seems intelligent...for example now he has emptied out a toy box and turned it upside down and is pushing it around and climbing on top of it to reach things.....no way we could possibly childproof with Mr Climber around....
Would love to catch up with some of you and hear your stories and experiences....
Mel
Hi Mel, you're not butting in, it's an open forum so welcome
I don't think that you have anything to worry about with your son. He sounds very much like my own son who was born a week before yours.
I have boy/girl twins and it's interesting to see how different they can be in terms of developmental milestones. My daughter was born with moderate deafness in both ears and attends audio-verbal therapy each fortnight. She is way ahead of my son in terms of how many words she says and imitates and yet the AV therapist assures me that Rylan is within the normal range for his age (and sex) and he also attends and joins in the AV sessions.
Within the last week he has started to say some actual words (apart from 'mum' and dad') instead of just pointing and grunting (sound familiar?!) and seems to be on a roll with new words every couple of days.
Another thing to consider is that children tend to focus on mastering one skill at a time so that if they are learning to walk or something similar, then they will probably not be making much progress with talking. I also have a 4 year old daughter who didn't even attempt to walk until she was 16 months, and yet she had a huge vocabulary and talked non stop (that part hasn't changed).
If you are still worried, consult your child health nurse (if you like them, some are awful in my experience) or just look up developmental milestones on the net. Just remember that they are always going to be generalisations and as a mother of two already you must know that no two children are the same.
Hope to see you round some more :)
P.S. My youngest daughter is also part mountain goat so you have my empathy.
Ashlyn - Hello! Good to see you back on here :) I have added you as a friend on FB finally too! I had to laugh when you wrote about Astrid walking around with a tea towel on her head. Poppy does the same thing with anything she can get her hands on. At the moment it is wrapping herself in the curtains and playing boo.
Hails - It sounds like you are enjoying being back at work. How are you bosses and the ppl you work with? It is hard leaving your kids in child care isnt it, well initially anyway.
MelandChris - DD doesnt talk much yet either. She has started to say 'lettuce' of all things and says 'mum' and 'dad' but not alot else. When she does say words you can quite clearly understand what she is saying, she just doesnt say them that often. As Ashlyn said, I wouldnt panic just yet as long as your tot is developing well in other areas :)
Kat - I bet you are glad tax time is over!! Looking forward to seeing you on Friday if you can make it :)
AFM - Arrgh!!! I have insomnia :( I am normally fast asleep by now but for the last week I have been sleeping soundly until 10.30pm then am lying in bed awake until about 3am!! It is driving me up the wall. I am putting it down to 3rd trimester insomnia. Boo! And all this is when Poppy is finally sleeping through the night too, wahoo.
Not too much else to report here. I am having the Brissie playgroup here on Friday which should be a nice catch up. We have all been so busy lately and has been ages since our last meet.
I hope you are doing well.
Ang xx

Hi,
Ashlyn - OMG how do you cope with twins and a four year old...Im stressing a little about number three arriving only because Lowndes is soooo clingy.. like you said no two kids are the same and he is completely different to my independant full of attitude 2.5yr old.....he is a determined little soul who doesnt like not getting his own way and hates it when your not with him...and the grunting sounds very familiar...... so does your little mountain goat...but the girl?? WOW...I thought it was a boy thing lol...Your house must look like ours..Chairs on the tables...all coffee tables and stools removed...and yet he still finds a way...he'll even climb onto the handles of his mimi bike to unlock the door or reach things.....do you think its a boy thing about the speech??
Angroc - Thank you too....I feel for you...I think you will have the same differance the same age gap that I had with my first two - its a good gap...they are best of friends when they arent fighting:) But I had insomnia too...and Ive got it again now and Im only 19wks!!
I guess Im just really concerned about Lowndes because EVERYONE passes comment about how full on he is and that they never remember their children being so full on and we try not to compare him with his sister but its true...we only know one other baby his age and the other one is no where near as full on.....so accompanied with his speech and his constant on the go and low attention span Im just worried something may be wrong...like Ashlyn..I really dont like CHN......

Mel and chris
no idea why this has an underline under my whole post
my ruby is a grunter
because its easier but i do get a few words out of her when she tries. they say 5-10 words by 18months and should know there own name.
if your worried see a maternal health nurse or your gp:hugs:
sorry i cant reply to you all i havent been on for nearly a week. my study has to be put off till i get my blue card so im bored:(
kids are doing well and early intervention is doing wonders for seth. he can hum the songs they sing. sign some of the words. its awsome. he still doesnt know pain though. fell from a balance beam and hit is face and neck and didnt even know what all the fuss was all about:(
anyway i will see the brisbane girls friday:wave:
Hello Ladies, and a happy Thursday to you all!!
MelandChris - My little man (Anzac day baby) doesn't really say much either. You get the general dadadadadamamamamadadadbubububu stuff, and he knows other words if we say them, like where is your nose, and he points to his nose, but he doesn't really say them.
He too, is a climber. We had swimming today (first time in 5 weeks - winter break) and he climbed up the stairs of the pool and got out by himself! He climbs into his toy box, and starts pulling toys out. he'll climb from his toy box onto the tv cabinet. He climbs up the couches, onto the beds, tries to climb in and out of the bath, basically, he will try to get his leg up anything to start climbing... so, yeah, feel your pain on that one.
Luckily, my sister also has a climber, so I know whats to come. he is 3 now, and when we go to playgroups, hes the one climbing the fence. he even managed to climb a safety fence around a pool!! Just have to keep a close eye on him!!!
Ang - I am so sorry you aren't getting great sleep. Bet its no consolation that neither am I, but thats cos we are co-sleeping and Thomas is teething and not the best sleeper at the moment! :hugs: for you, hope you get great sleep tonight for the invasion tomorrow!!
Studymumof2, sorry to hear you're a bit bored without the study! Just as well you have something to do tomorrow!!! Great to hear that Seth is doing so well in his classes!
Hails - how is the job going? Pulled last century's abacus into the computer age yet? Hows Ryder doing at daycare? I hate leaving Thomas when he runs for the door and starts crying when you are leaving! Breaks my heart every time, luckily it seems to mend throughout the day! I couldn't keep doing that every day!!
Nuff from me for now, hope all are well, and am looking forward to the catchup tomorrow!! Yippeee:smiliedance:

Hi ladies
Work is going really well. I've fixed the computer programs that we regularly use. It's already helping which is great.
There's so much to get your head around but I'm slowly getting there:)
Ryder has been p!ssing me off something shocking. I've been finding myself really resenting him at the moment.
All he does is whinge, from the moment he gets up to the moment he goes to bed, including during the night.
It's really been doing my head in:no:
The lack of sleep has really been testing me aswell. My mum can get him to sleep, DH's mum can get him to sleep, my best friend can get him to sleep and the day care carer can get him to sleep (for about 2 - 3 hours during the day), but when it comes to us, neither DH or I can get him to sleep for any longer then 20 minutes.:hissy:
At day care he sleeps on a mattress on the floor. He puts himself to sleep and sleeps for hours (he's always asleep when DH arrives to pick him up). We decided to try the mattress on the floor at home. First night went ok (he woke up at 12:30am and then at 4:30am),
Second night was a normal night (waking at 11:00pm, 12:15am, 3:00am, 4:00am and then finally in our bed at 5:00am). This has been repeated the past two nights.
I go in and lay down with him on his mattress but as soon as you pull away to go back to bed he wakes up screaming.
When he does come to our bed he tosses and turns so much that I don't get any sleep at all.
I really am at the end of my tether. I'm severely sleep deprived with no hope of it lightning up in the near future.
I just don't know what to do anymore and am seriously running out of ideas. I've tried all the tricks of the trade to no avail.:crying:
He is really turning me off having any more kids. I think one will do us just fine. I can barely handle one so any more would make me loose all my marbles.
Hmmm enough about poor lil me. Hope everybody else is going really well.
Will come back on and chat soon

hayley - when ruby acts up like that its usualy teeth. hopefully its short lived. :hugs:
i had a lovely time with the april brisbane ladies.
ruby is slowly getting the idea she cant touch everything and is starting to under stand "just looking" (sometimes)
how much is everyones toddler weighing now?
ruby is 9.8-10kilos and she is 16months old.
me and dh are slim too. and so is seth.
and also am i the only one with a toddler having 2 day naps still. she wakes at 5.30am though:o
Hellooooo!
How is everyone?? It seems a bit quiet in here again. I have been checking in but have had no time to post.
Studymumof2 - It was great meeting you, Ruby and Seth on Friday. You will have to come to the next meet too! I really wouldnt worry about weight. Poppy is 10.7kg and 15mths old. Your kiddies looked perfectly healthy to me!
Hails - Poor thing. I went thru the same thing with Poppy for about 2 weeks straight and I was pulling my hair out! She was teething at the time and was being super clingy and whingy. Have you tried giving him panadol before bed? Does he still have a bottle at night? Maybe you just need to let him cry for a few nights? I know its tough when you have to work but it doesnt sound like you are sleeping at the moment. I think he just needs to realise that he has to work it out himself and go back to sleep. He will let you know if its anything serious. Another tip I was given too was to not make eye contact or speak to your bub and to close the door firmly on them. This ALWAYS works with Poppy. And she can put it on with the best of them . She has the whole puppy dog eyes down pat lol. I also had the big break down to Rocco saying that I dont think I want to have a second baby. A bit late for that I think hehe. Just think of it as a stage, be firm and he will work himself out. I have a feeling he is playing you cause he knows how to push your buttons!
So glad you are liking your job too!
AFM - Not a whole lot going on here. Only just over 7 weeks left!!!. We had a really great meet up with the Brissie mums here on Friday. All the bubs are growing so fast. Although I dont think I can call them bubs anymore, they are more like toddlers!
Poppy is much bette. All of her teeth are through for now and she is sleeping much better. She has been waking at 4.15am and DH takes a bottle into her and she goes back to sleep till 7am which I am loving! I have another antenatal appt on Wednesday and I think from here on they will be every 2 weeks. I hope im ready cause this baby is coming regardless lol.
Have a good week everyone!

Hails, I really feel for you hon. I know how hard it is to have to keep going day in and day out when you're sooooo tired. I'm sure all of us here do. I think Ang gave some pretty good advice there, though its always hard listening to them having a cry. Evie's the same as Poppy - she can turn on the tears/screams so badly you'd think she was being murdered. Chin up and know that it will get better. If you ever need someone to talk you through things, have you tried calling a sleep school? I know in NSW it's Tresilian. Not sure about Vic tho.
Studymum, I think Rubys weight sounds just fine to me. Evie's about the same. She's going for between one to two day sleeps at the moment. I'm struggling to get her to sleep for longer than 45 minutes, which just isn't enough for her, which is why she sometimes goes back for a second nap.
Ang, wow 7 weeks to go!! How exciting!!
OK, sorry that's my limit of personals. In the middle of night shifts again and thinking of heading back to bed so I can try and feel slightly normal tonight...

Hi all
I'm home sick today.
That's pretty bad hey, I couldn't evem make it through the first month at work without getting sick. Not a good impression:no:
Ryder was really sick Monday night. His temp reached 39 degrees, he could barely breathe out of his nose and he just couldn't sleep, poor little fella. He had minor conjuncitvitis in one eye.
DH and I saw every hour in that night. I think all up between the two of us we got maybe an hours sleep.
I got up in the morning feeling like sh!t but went to work whilst DH stayed home.
I got progressively worst as the day passed so eventually I had to go home.
I almost drove off the road numerous times on my way home (I have to drive 40 km each way to get to work). I just couldn't keep my eyes open:dizzy:, my head hurt each time I moved it, felt like i'd been hit by a bus and was severely nauseaous and dizzy.
Got home at 1pm and slept to 4pm. Got up and was back in bed at 6:30pm last night.
Ryder now has a serious case of conjunctivitis to go with his cold, I still feel awful so we are two sorry sods at home today.
Hope we get better soon. I hate feeling like this.
Ooh on the lighter note of things, I finally got my AF which means I'm not pregnant. If I can make it to three months before I get pregnant then I'll be a happy girl.

Hi all,
Finally found this thread again. I'm afraid i just pressed a linke back in April 2008 and saved it and had no idea where it actually was! We got a new computer - and hence I lost you all.
Not much time to chat but just thought I'd pop in. Had to check up on another friend due in March 2010 - so thought I'd better say G'day.
We're all doing well. Just under 5 weeks until she move - so starting to do a bit of packing. Ok - so now i'll save this link so I can come back and check up on everyone occassionally!

:gloomy: Hey girls I know I haven't posted in a whiel we haven't had the internet and am just on matts computer atm...
ANyway I feel like the above emoticon i feel too old for my age and am feeling like I have had DD way too young, I can't go out be my normal age :( my arthritis is annoying I can barely move at the moment...all I want to do is be carefree for a day and just actually get to be my age again DF has been there and done all that and I haven't and while I know I actually may not be missing out on much I just feel like I am so empty and hollow and there is nothing more to be than a mum and being an employee, I barely even recognise myself anymore....I have no friends here my age which is hard because no one wants to go out.......:gloomy:
Aww Jess - Hun, I feel like that too sometimes and I have been there and done all that! Have you made friends thru work? Even if they arent your own age, im sure they still know how to have a good time :) I'm 30 and have always had older work mates who have partied my socks off lol. Can you arrange with your DF for you to have 1 day on the weekend a fortnight to yourself? Thats when DH and I do and only because I let myself get to melting point before saying anything. I now have 1 day to look forward to just doing whatever. Whether that is a facial and pedi or going to the movies with a friend or doing nothing. That one day I am just me and is for me. Im not mum or being a wife and it is such a sanity saver! Sit down and have a think about what you want for some 'me' time and then chat to your DF about it. :hugs: and I hope you start to start feeling better soon. Having your body not cooperate with you cant be easy as well :(
Meggs - I hope Emmy is feeling better. I cant wait for winter to be over so all these blasted bugs bugger off! Poppy is hopefully on the mend thank goodness!
SSU - Glad you found us again! I know we all keep in touch on FB but its nice to come on here and have a bit more of an indepth chat about things we wouldnt talk about on FB lol.
Hails - I hope you are all on the mend too! That sounded pretty scary almost driving off the road!
W&E - How are you?? I hope all is going well with everything ;) and you caught up on some sleep. How are Evie's day sleeps going? I hope they are starting to stretch out.
AFM - We have had a pretty rough week with Poppy being really ill. She had some nasty high fevers and spent Tues and Wed night in bed with me so I could constantly mop her down with a cool cloth. Nurofen and Panadol werent even making a dent in her temp! Then yesterday morning she woke with a huge rash covering her front, back , all over her neck and down into her nappy. It turns out it is a viral rash meaning the worst is over. I had never heard of them before and started thinking measels or meningitis. Thankfully now her fevers have gone and she just feels a bit sick. I am looking forward to getting my feisty little girl back, we have missed her like crazy! All she has done for most of the week is cling to me and want lots of cuddles the poor wee thing. I also think if she doesnt see the doctor for a while she will be very happy. Poppy isnt a huge fan of the tongue depresser lol.
Other than being REALLY tired :) I have been doing well. I had a middie appointment yesterday and bub is 4/5ths engaged already. It really feels like I have a child head banging on my cervix at the moment!! Not noice! Hopefully it can wait another 7 weeks so I can catch up on some sleep lol.
I hope you all have a good weekend.

Hi all
I have been so busy now I have started work I haven't been able to get on here.
Ang sounds terrible with Poppy I hope she is well & truly on the mend now. I'd be so scared if that happened to April.
Meggs colds suck! I hate it when April gets them. I hope Em is over it soon
Love is all you need I think you should try & make some time for yourself like Ang suggested. Give yourself some time to be yourself. Maybe write a list of things you want to do & tick them off as you do them.
As for us: April is starting daycare on Wednesday. I am excited/scared. I went in for an hour with April on Friday & she seemed to really enjoy it but it may be a different story when I am not there watching over her. I hope she's OK on Wednesday. Other than that I have just been working & it's been such a culture shock going from not working at all to working for 3 days a week. But it has been an entirely good thing! I feel so much more independent, I have more hope, I have more money and I generally appreciate my time a lot more especially the time I spend with April. I still dread Mondays but it's only 3 days a week, I can hack it!
Anyway ladies I will leave ya's to it I am back off to enjoy my Saturday night on the internet :smiliedance:

LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh so long time and no speak - I'm so sorry!!!
Well things are looking up here. I'm no longer in my black pit of despair, I'm feeling a lot happier and lighter then I have for a while now.
I'm no longer sick (Thankgod:yes:), Ryder is much better aswell, he's still sleeping like sh!t but Mum is going to take him Friday Night so DH and I can go on a date and have a decent nights sleep and a sleep in Saturday Morning.
I love my mum so much!!!:hugs:
Work is going fantastic. I'm finally starting to find the old person I used to be. I used to joke around a lot and smile and laugh heaps, and I'm slowly starting to find that old person who has been buried deep inside.
I'm more fun to be around.
I have a few weddings and hens nights coming up. One is next week at the Crown in Melbourne. The theme is sequins and sparkles, hopefully I can pull something off - lol!! I'm so excited it's going to be fantastic and it's been so long since I've been dancing (Andrew doesn't dance at all - ever!)
On facebook someone recently pulled out the year 12 school camp photo of when I was in QLD for year 12. (I started the year up there and finished the year down here). Gosh it brought back so many awesome memories of that time.
At that time I was living with my boyfriend and his parents and had been for 6 months. I had such a great time ever day with all my friends, it was just a brilliant time in my life!! 2002 was such an awesome year!!
I'm holding out for the reunion in 2 years time, it will be fantastic to re-live it all over again!!
JESS - Hun I often feel older then I should and often feel like maybe I rushed life too fast, although I experienced life more so then most people. I left home at 15.
I partied up a storm between then and when I had Ryder. I experienced so many jobs from so many different industries. I've been promoted, fired and retrenched.
I had a fair share of different men and had tiffs between friends and lovers and yet I still feel as if I've missed / am missing out on life.
(I've been thinking that it's possible that feeling comes down to me never having travelled overseas. I know I will one day but I really wanted to backpack when I was younger and never got around to doing it).
As i said above, I'm only just finding myself again and it's taken a hell of a long time. If you can't go out with friends what about your brother. Wait for spring so hopefully your lupus settles down a bit and party up a storm!
You need to have time for yourself, otherwise you end up going loopy like I did.:hugs:
Anyways, gotta go get ready for work, hope you all have fantastic days - bye!!!
Goodness gracious!! Can't believe the last post was the 20th of August!! Oh well, I'll blame it on WINTER
Mind you, here in QLD it isn't winter anymore. Maybe thats my issue, change of season has never been pleasant for me, and at the moment, I have the worst cold ever!! (not that I am dramatic at all...)
Well, I would respond you previous posts, but since they are all over a week ago, not sure how relevant they are now...
We fly to NZ in two weeks, for 8 days. I'm looking forward to it, and not looking forward to it... Not sure how thomas is going to go in a plane... Not sure how we are parents are going to cope travelling with thomas... Oh well, don't have too long to find out now!
My DH built a sandpit today. Its pretty good, and we are going to paint it in the next few weeks. We didn't quite get enough sand, but we will buy some more once we get back. Thomas loves it already.
Well, guess that's enough from me for now.... Hope you are all well, and everyone else has got over their illnesses, as it really does bite!!
TTFN,
Kat

katkyle - plenty of fluids and snacks and food. if you use dummies or bottles or still breastfeed try and use them on take off and landing. i found the decent the worst on both the kids. because by then they were over the flight.
hope you all travel smoothly:)
i cant believe how much my ruby has grown and is now speaking. she is helping seth so much with everything. helping mummy too. she can be rough but then sucks up to you with a nice tight cuddle.
alot of jelousy. like if seth gets a kiss you have to kids ruby, is seth gets a drink, ruby has to have a drink, if seth eats something ruby has to eat something, if seth has a nappy change, (even if ruby just had one) ruby has to have a nappy change
interesting lol.
my studies are going well. i should be finished my 2nd one this week and should start placement soon. i just hope dh can manage with both because rubys still very attached to me because im breastfeeding.
LOVE the rain were having. nice normal winter weather even if it does delay my cloth nappies getting dry
