Just curious to see what everyone spends on your children/partners/parents or just the whole family.
This year I don't think we will be buying for everyone as the prices just seem to be getting higher and higher.

So, what do you spend on easter (not being rude am I?)

About $30. And that's all up.....we don't do separate pressies for the niece's and nephews. In stead we all chip in for an egg hunt. Then we just get stuff for DS. Usually 1 egg (big kinder suprise this year) and a couple of books. I'm not sure whats happening this year with my parents not being home next weekend.

Not as much as christmas and that makes me :D! We no longer buy brand name eggs for family so we keep everything cheaper that way.

My children get winter pj's, slippers and dressing gowns (if needed) my mum did that for us. They will get a few eggs from us and then a couple from easter bunny.

I don't believe toys should be given at Easter as they have other days in the year for that.

I would say we keep it around $300 for everyone including our childrens stuff. I can't get over how much slippers cost us this year:eek:

We spend $50 on behalf of a rabbit I know *wink wink nudge nudge* - this means all the kids get one egg to themselves, an easter egg hunt and mum and dad get a lindt bunny - yum!

Then I spend another $30 for extended family members - the kids and I get together and make chocolates together - yes... I must be insane to create this extra work for myself but the kids are so proud to be able to say 'I made them myself' that I just can't resist it!

Anyone else make their own eggs?

The easter bunny also leaves foot prints at our house too!

Last year I said to myself $50 and well ended up spending $170.
So this year we should be spending less as we aren't buying for all. Fingerscrossed for around the $100 mark and thats for the 2 boys, DH, a friend, and parents.

We were going to make easter eggs this year but I can't find any places that sells the moulds. :(
I will be making marshmallow bunnies though.

Nothing :D Easter is about religion in this house.... beside I've already had so many cadbury cream eggs by the time easter comes i'm over it haha. But yeah we go to mass on Sunday then have a BBQ at home so we don't eggs or things like that. I decorate real eggs tho. Its loads of fun:thumbsup:

I have spent $20 on vegan chocolate with no palm oil to replace the milk chocolate DD's father's family will by her because apparently you can't say no, we don't celebrate Easter because we are not religious

Usually- $4 on a bunny for DF and myself.

This year- $10 on a bunny for DF and myself (maybe DD will get a tiny taste) and a book for DD.

DS will get one egg for easter as chocolate isnt good for a baby and he doesnt understand anyways
we did make marshmellow bunnies and rocky road easter eggs for his mothers group friends (well their parents anyway). :chef:
you can get moulds from spotlight, robins kitchen and house.

not much! whatever a medium size egg costs and maybe a packet of small ones for a little hunt.

I hate easter as I'm not religious and therefore think it's hypocritical to celebrate it*, but I feel like there is pressure to at least give one egg to DD or I'll be the 'mean mum'

* this is for me.. don't mean to offend anyone that does, it's cool with me if you do!

Well the bunny doesn't bring chocolate to this house

The bunny has got DS1 a Cars scooter - $30
and DS2 his first big easter bunny plush - $20.

That's all they are getting - unless DS sneaks in a chocolate
