View Full Version : Dreams of multiples....??
Hi
Thought I might post a dream that my hubby had last night.
I am approx 4-5 weeks preggas. We have recently found that our progesterone levels for first trimester is high:
Normal 0-12 weeks: 9-47
Mine 0-12 weeks: 130
So a few people are suggesting we may be pregnant with multiples. We are off to our first u/s today, but can anyone tell me if their husband or friend or someone else dreamt of twins for the mother/woman who is preggas.
My husband said he last night had a dream of so many sets of twins, boy/boy, girl/girl and one of each. Has this ever happened to you and it's come true.????
Thanks Hope:ecomcity:

No so much a dream but my partner was secretly hoping for twins cause i had morning sickness to he extream & kept telling me im not going to be pregnate again.
Week later we found out we are having triplets. He didnt tell me this till after we found out its triplets.
Thanks Triple time and congrats to you!! :yelclap:
Kind of scary isn't it, when these things happen with no explanation!!

Welcome & thank you.
Very scary. I was in shock for about 6 weeks. I had a blood test done the day after i started feeling sick & got it back the next day saying i was 3 months pregnate, so levels were threw the roof! 2 weeks later we found out why they were so high.
We drew the crazy roller coaster strew of one in 40,000.

I wish I had some warning… Although deep down DH and I both had feeling something wasn't quite right... but couldn't pin point exactly what.
Good Luck with you scan today, let us know how you go :flowerz:

Hope - Yours are a little up there, mine were 12,000 for 4 weeks. Be prepared for a shock! There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Knocked - But would you change it? I sure know we wouldnt.

Hope09- It does seem quite high, I had quite high levels with Oliver and my doctor suggested twins, however only one little boy. With this pregnancy, they were again high but not astronomically high, then at our 6-week scan it was revealed the reason for the high levels- two sacks and two heat beats, but untimely there was three as we discovered at 11 weeks … It is in fact possible for multiples to be conceived at different times, meaning they may not both/all show up on the 6-week scan and it can skew you HCG levels as it did with me.
Tripletime- No, never. I am extremely scared, the logistics of 6 kids under 6 frightens me to no death, but as people in the last week or so have started to make the ‘oh you poor things’ comments and so forth it made me realise how much I already love them and how blessed I actually am! :goodvibes:
Hi Jag  Thanks for your reply!! I am getting very nervous now!! thanks for staying on this thread!!
I don't mind either way, a singleton or multiples, but it is going to be a shock  if anything eventuates!!
Knocked and Tripletime: Thanks for staying on this thread with me...it's like you guys are all holding me hand!!:laughing:

I couldnt see anything, if it was fraternal twins you'd see 2 definate sacks. Identicals are known to split around the 4-6 week mark.
I recomend having another scan about 8-12 weeks. We found out jat 6 weeks & 5 days.

I couldnt see anything, if it were to be fraternals you's see two difenate sacks. Identicals are know to split between 4-7 weeks.
Your doctor might send you for another scan either before or at 12 weeks.
Thanks Hun :hugs:
Will do!! I uploaded the image now to my signature and now its too big!!

Hi Hope, have been at work and just saw your thread....Will share my experience with you...
My HcG levels were 43 at 3 weeks, 230 2 days later and at 4 weeks 6627. I had a scan at 5 weeks for some spotting (an internal :() and all they saw was a yolk (sp?) sac. So was booked for another one 2 weeks later. 2 nights before hand I had the most vivid dream of an ultrasound where we saw 2 "blobs" which changed to 4 and then finally 3. At my actual ultrasound you could see the 3 "blobs" - our 2 bubbas and who knows what else (not a 3rd baby). It was quite freaky actually. And my DF also thought all along that when he had kids he would have twins and they would be girls!
Definitely go for another scan in another couple of weeks if you can.
Good Luck!
WOW!! Thanks for sharing your story with me!! Your girls are beautiful :flowerz: Yep def going to have the next ultrasound soon, and I will keep you posted for the outcome. But I am glad I have heard of another story who seems similar to mine!!
Thanks Twinmummee!! :bee:
Hiya
I had a scan at 5 weeks due to some pains - but as someone mentioned previously all that was visible was a sac - at 8 weeks I returned - on the way to driving to the scan - this is very strange - but I kept hearing a voice in my head saying its twins its twins over and over again !!!:ecomcity:
I had the scan and the lady semed to be taking a long time and then she turned the screen towards me and pointed out to me two heartbeats - at which point my husband walked through the door ( he had been stuck in traffic) and I said you had better sit down !! LOL and he just knew there was two !!!
Our identical girls will be 3 in May
WOW!! Thanks for sharing that story!! :)
That's so exciting!! I have managed to put my 5 week u/s up for viewing, a few have said they can see a few circles (sac's) and my husband...who was almost late the the u/s....go the men!! Is adamant that he saw more than one!!
It's a big waiting game...I have even heard of women who were in delivery!!:eek:
Now that would be funny!!....or not!!
Hope
Hi
I did!
I had a dream at about 9/10 weeks, a couple of weeks before my 12 week scan.
I got up in the morning and mentioned it to my dh... In the dream I couldnt tell the sexes but the dream did tell me that we were having twins.
We both laughed it off and didnt think about it again!
There was no other reason for thinking it was twins either (I didnt know my HCG levels and wasnt aware of any twins in the family)
Then lying on the table at the 12 week scan, their they were to our SURPRISE!!
My dh was very impressed with my motherly intuituion!
I really believe it was my boys giving me a heads up...

Hi, I didn't have a dream but we both just knew (or thought we knew) at only 3 weeks.
We had just done IVF again. (Completely lost track of how many times we did it.) Then suddenly at what would have been 3 weeks or only 1 week after embryo transfer (and 1 week before blood test was due) I just woke up and said to DH that I was sure I was pregnant this time and that it's twins. He was shocked because he had woken up with the same feeling.
I had to have a scan at 7 weeks and we found out for sure then. Soon after that DD1 started telling us they were girls and screamed and cried at us everytime we mentioned the possiblity it was boys or one of each. She just knew they were 2 girls.
Goodluck with your next scan.:)
