View Full Version : Ever feel like someone has a personal vendetta against you?
For no apparent reason???
DD has just started kindy, she's going once a week, and has been for the last 4 weeks.
The main carer in her room seems to absolutely dispise me and I have absolutely no idea why?
She never says hello, although she's overly freindly to all the pther parents, she ignores me when I ask her how DD went that day, (usually walks off), She rolls her eyes when I gush over DD's paintings, and this morning, she snapped at me, when i forgot to get DD's drink out her bag!
I know all these things seem petty, but collectivly it's really starting to get to me!!
What's her problem? :(
I feel like pulling DD out, just so I don't need to deal with her, but DD loves going so much, and all the other carers are so lovely....
Confused...
Has this ever happened to you?

 Yeah I have.
Its not funny though, at the time.
Honestly, both times (I must just be a really awful person) I have stayed away.
Gee! She sounds lovely- NOT:rolleyes:
Perhaps pull her aside and ask her if there is a problem?
If she continues to be unprofessional in her manner toward you and your child you could always lodge a formal complaint?
Good Luck- that must feel dreadful.
Ignore her, don't even give her the time of day.. It will annoy her. Pretend shes not even in the room.
Yikes! No I have not ever been in that situation before but I think if I were I would have to have a few discussions with the director. You as a parent need to have open communication with the people who are looking after your child, and if she is acting this way how can you trust her?

I'd never have the guts to pull her aside... :o
Yes it does feel dreadful... Especially as I have no idea what she's got against me.
Is it that i'm a young mum? Is it that I ask too many questions, is it because I rang up 3 times last time DD was there to check she was ok?? LOL Who knows?????

Good point...
I only hope it's just me she has something againt, and isn't being mean to my poor little DD....
If you cant confront her then i would ignore her completely too- it's a hard one though as you dont want your DD to pick up on any animosity....
I doubt it would be your age? Your 26? Not 12? She just sounds like a bit of a cow.

That is very rude and totally unprofessional! i worked in child care for 10 years and never once did i treat a parent like that! For her to roll her eyes when you praise your child is totally unexcusable and with that i would be questioning the care your child receives throughout the rest of the day... if you are brave enough speak to her and tell her how you feel or else approach the director and tell her you are considering pulling your child out because of this.... they will not want to lose you and i can ensure you the Group Leader should receive a stern talking to. Also state that her lack of communication is not meeting/maintaining accreditation guidelines....

Thanks lochiebearsmum... I will see how we go, I don't really want to make a fuss. But you make a good point about her complete lack of communication. I always assumed this was a very important part of child care.
Thanks for all your comments and suggestions guys :hugs:
Off to pick up DD from kindy now, and deal with the dreaded mean old cow....

Good luck :) Keep us updated!
I think people who act like that are mostly insecure about themselves. She probably is majorly jealous of you for whatever reason.
