Ok.... so i did the big grown up thing and decided to move out of my parents house as i have now paid of all of my debts... BUT i moved into a friends place cause they had a little apartment thing downstairs under their house... So i moved in only to find that at night there are rats and mice everywhere!:barf:
I put out baits and things and they just ate the lot and ate through half of my stuff.... Then i found that they had been in DD's cot and all through her clothes so i chucked a huge wobbley because that is just soooooooo disgusting!!!!!
I have been living out of my car for the last three days, and staying at DP's house at night..... I'm so upset... I have applied for a few units now and most of them have been declined and am still waiting for answers on others.... I really hope i find somewhere soon! I just can't believe that my friend would let me move in there when they had a huge rat problem, Especially when i have a one year old daughter!!!! GGGRRRRRRRRR:mad:
So to anyone that i talk to on msn, that haven't heard from me in a while, This is why! I have been so busy trying to stay confident and happy for DD, and haven't had time for anything else.... MRS MIGGENS, I will definately catch up with you soon!!!! I will stay in contact i promise!!!! :hugs:

OMG that is gross!
I cant believe your "friends" would put you and your dd in this situation:shame:
Can I ask why you dont just move in with your DP? as you stated you stay there at night? I would think he wouldnt want his dd living out of a car:eek:
I hope you get a lovely place to stay soon and Im sending you lots of positive vibes!!!:hugs:
I hope you find a place soon:fingerscrossed:
Firstly :hugs: to you. Your friend sounds quite irresponsible if she thinks a rat infestered unit is an acceptable place for a child (or adult for that matter)
Is it possible to go back to your parents until you find your own place?

Hi guys... thanks for your replies... im still looking for nice place... A couple of you asked me why i don't move in with dp... well he lives in a granny flat at his brothers house and there is no room for me there, his brother has two children and their house is packed already... and in dp's granny flat there is only room for a small port-a-cot and nothing else. He told me that if i stay at the rat infested place he'll take madi off me so thats why i've been staying there but there have been alot of fights between us lately and i can't afford the petrol now to go back and forth between coopers plains and springwood everyday. PLUS, i drive only on my learners and im so worried that if i get caught then i'll lose my licence for ages... Madi goes to daycare at springwood and i don't want to change her as she's very happy there, and now i have a job which i start this week, also in springwood. I'm going to have a look at a place today but its an old style house and from the photo's i don't know if i'll like it or not, it's a little bit shabby looking, and the rent there is dear.... But i don't really have a choice.... If anyone finds anything from around the springwood area can you send me email or something, that would help me heaps, thanks so much guys!!!! Like always, bubhub is my favourite place to turn to! :hugs:

Hi Madismum, just wondering if you have been to see if you can get a housing commission place, if you explain your position you will get immidiate accomodation and explain why you need it in or as near as possible to where you want the house. Your bound to get it really fast, maybe a couple of days and decent priced and a roof over babies head. You don't have to take the house if you dont like the positioning, but anything at the moment is worth a try, and you only have to stay there as long as you want, so if you only stay there for 2-3 weeks thats fine. you will have to ring centerlink to find the closest place you can go to find a housing commision place. Good Luck sweetie. :hugs:
