Does anyone live in Bellingen?

So,....my DH and I are looking at buying a farm in Bellingen,.... anyone live there? Any tips/comments/thoughts?

I'm in coffs too, but I loooooove Bellingen & it's surrounds! The grass always looks so green, & I love the rolling hills. A farm would be awesome there.... wish it was me buying it lol

Hmmmm, Im guessing you would've found out by now that it keeps flooding in Bellingen lol. Im in Toormina and thought about buying in Bellingen until the floods happened in March and April. I stuck with Toormina instead :D

I've lived in Bellingen my entire life. Born in Bellingen hospital even! I love it here. :yes:

However, the flooding is a good point to bring up... When it floods and you are stuck at home with the kids who think it's awesome not to go to school... ARGH! :hair:

But besides that, I cannot give you a reason not to live here. I love it, love it, LOVE IT! :bee:

I live in Bellingen (well 10 minutes out now on a farm) and moved here from Sydney not too long ago. I love it and would recommend it, especially coming from Sydney. There's lots of people from all over Australia who have moved here, so it has a great cosmopolitan feel for a small town. We did get caught in the flood too - but it didn't last that long and besides kids loving staying home from school, not too much of problem. Maybe because I come from the city, to me it just added to the country charm of the place.

BTW CellarDoor hi! Do we have any pregnancy get togethers in town? I'm due in August :)
