Hi all, its my first time on here.
Its my guess that this may have been heard a few times over, but like so many of you, i wish i had an answer...or some better understanding.
3 months ago i was 5 weeks pregnant when i started to get very light bleeding, which gradually got heavier within 24hrs. My dr told me i had a miscarriage...
I took a test by chance the other week and found out i am once again pregnant, and im guessing the test would have only just picked it up.
Now, starting around lunch time today i had some light cramping which felt to me that it could almost be the very start of period pain. It lasted ah hour and died off. I also had very very light bleeding. All has stopped now..Im scared, lost, confused...and some views on this would be very much appreciated :)
by the way, when i had a miscarriage 3 months ago, i am sure i felt no pain..nothing that screamed to me 'you're having a miscarriage'.
Can i ask the experiences some of you may have had with similar situations?

Hi sorry I don't have a definate answer for you.
I think everybody is different.
The fact that you had no cramping, where most people do with a m/c is an example. Also some people don't get much blood.
I have had a little bit of bleeding this pregnancy at 7 weeks and with my last at 13 weeks and went on to have a healthly baby.
Go to your GP for a referral to have a scan or some blood tests done rather than try to guess what is going on, you must be so stressed.
With my bleed I had a scan on the day and the heartbeat was seen on a transvaginal scan to be healthy. Even if its too early for a scan, I sure they can test your homone levels.
From experience I would see a female GP as they will know the stress you would be under and not hesitate to test.
Good luck

I'll be heading to the Dr's on wednesday...it seems so far away.
Last time my life-long GP was away, which was a shame as the dr i had during the course of events seemed so vague and i felt as if i were in the dark about everything.
Im going to say that to my regular GP on wednesday, i don't want to week of guessing games.

Hi there,
I've gone through something simular to what you are experiencing.
Early last year I became pregnant which ended in a miscarrage at 8weeks. I barely had any spotting or cramping or anything, where inwhich I hadn't found out until a month after he/she had died, fom going to the ER becasue of having very light spotting again (I hadn't gone to the ER the first time becasue I rang up and was told that if it wasn't heavy then there isn't anything to worry about:no:).
Then later last year I became pregnant again, and it has stuck (and I'm due in 8 weeks).
But this time in the first 3 months (3 times on and off), I had spotting and bad cramping when I was suposed to get my period. Ofcorse it worried me so I went to the ER each time to make sure I knew what was going on staight away.
So yeah it's a pain and annoying because, like you, when you did have a miscarrage you had no indication, but your pregnant again and spotting again, make sure you get it checked out to put your mind at ease. But I'm sure all is good and everything is fine :)
good luck!
Congrats on the new pregnancy.
I've had 3 early losses around the 5 week mark. I didn't have pain with any of them. The second & third ones started with red spotting which turned into light bleeding - actually less than I normally had with a period.
At around 5 weeks with my next pregnancy I had brown spotting & again at around 6 & both times I was put on bed rest due to my m/c history. Anyway all was well & my 9 month old son is here to prove it.
Go to a GP and get a couple of BT's a couple of days apart to see how the HCG is going - that's what I did with number 2 & 3 pregnancy & in both cases it showed things were not well. I also did the same with pregnancy 4 and those tests showed all was well.
I have my fingers crossed for you.
