I have a two year old that will scream about anything. He screams when he is bored, screams when he is scared. Screams when no one is paying him attention because he is screaming. Screams in the car, in his room, in the bath, out side ( i let him do that one.) inside. He screams in time out etc. It seams like no matter what I do he screams. :devil6:Now his little sister is screaming to they play a screaming game. They even do it at day care. Screaming across the room at each other.

What I am asking for is ANY tips that have worked for you or someone that you know. I would like to stop him from screaming. It really gets to me and I don't like it. When we are in the car I find it quite distracting and that is dangerous. I'm not proud of this but, I have screamed back at him once to make him know what it was like.
That just made it worse. :hair:I don't know if this is jsut a phase he is going through or if he is feeling a little anxious as his fathers working hours have changed. DH is not home at night time to see him off to bed. I don't know if this is having an effect on him.

PLEASE HELP any advise is good.

Thanks.

Firstly, is his hearing ok? Might be worth getting it checked just to make sure he can hear ok (sometimes it's hard to tell otherwise).

Then try using the 'we're inside and inside we use our quiet voices' technique. Say it very quietly as though it's something very special. Make a big fuss when he uses his quiet voice and give a gentle reminder when he screams that we need to use our 'quiet voices now'.

Hope it helps.

Do you live at the back of me :laughing:
There is a little boy who screams from 6am till 9 pm, he is screaming as i type. I have no advice but what i can tell you is the mother screams back all day also and it appears as though it does not work, so dont try that

:hugs::hugs: No advice, having the ears checked seems logical though as PP have mentioned.
