Hey guys. I have been trying for bub number 2 for 4 months now and still no luck. AF is due on the 16th of June so we will have to see how we go then but we got preg with Tayah straight away. It's so distressing which is making it worse...

Any ideas and is there anyone else out there ttcing so we can share the journey? Thankyou Amber. :(

We have only recently admitted that we are actually TTC #2, although we haven't been using any kind of birth control since DD's birth in October last year.

We decided not to as it took us 26 long, long months to fall PG with DD and we didn't want all the dramas again if we decided to wait before actively TTC.

I was hoping to fall PG around September (that would be ideal), however the more months that go by, the more disappointed I am that I still have not managed to fall PG. We really were hoping that #2 would come along quicker & easier than #1!

My only suggestion is to maybe look at charting your BBT (Basal Body Temperature). My cycles are all out of whack & this is the only thing that gives me any control over TTC whatsoever. There is a really great charting site called Fertility Friend that helps you chart your temps & works out a coverline for you so that you know when you have ovulated.

All the best!!! Hope you get your BFP soon!!!

I went off the pill at 25 years. I fell pregnant at 27 and had come to terms that I may have trouble then BAM it happened I had a little boy at 28. I never took any birth control after I had him because I didn't want this trouble again so we starting trying 6 months later until I went to a naturopath to try and get regular again. I was never really that regular. I was disheartened as from May before my son was one there was no reason for me to not get pregnant. At the end of August I gave up on the naturopath potion and rememebered back to the first pregnancy, I lost 25 kilos. I went to weight watchers and lost 15kg and BAM pregnant with no. 2 couldn't believe it and thought I would be trying forever.
I stopped worrying and checking on the date I was due for my periods. I have bad UTI's which meant I always went to the toilet straight after sex. I stopped doing this and lay there a while, even put my legs up in the air to help the little swimmers. Did this once and it seemed to do the trick. I want another one quickly so I will do the same as I did previously. My first son is two in a week so I now look back and think the age gap is really good and it was meant ot be like this.
My advice-
Don't stress
Keep healthly
Always be positive even though it may get you down often.
Good luck with your journey,
Mel

I too am trying for bub #2.

We got pregnant in the first month of trying with my DS but I am worried it may be harder this time. I put on a LOT of weight with DS and haven't lost it and I know that this can affect fertility. So far it has been two months of TTC and I've just recieved my BFN.

March is the only month when no one in my family has a birthday so I would really LOVE to fall pregnant this next cycle and have a March baby. :fingerscrossed: This time around I am charting, taking supplements, using Maybe Baby and OPK's, none of which I did with DS. Sometimes I wonder if I am putting too much pressure on myself but I so want a small gap between babies.

Good luck to all who are TTC

hi Amber:wave:

I to fell pregnant with my daughter straight away she is nearly 2. We are in our 3rd cycle AF is due on the 19th June so hopefully there will be BFP for us both this month. My first cycle of TTC this time was horrible:thumbsdown: Af was 11 days late and it had been 29days since coming of the pill and i also got a false +ve and went to the doc to be told that no your not preg after a blood test so that was not much fun. My cycle is now back to 29days so i have no idea what went wrong that month So i am hoping that this will be our month as if i do fall preg it would be due on our 7th wedding anniversary. So any way you will have to keep us posted on how you go this month :)

:fingerscrossed: for all of us TTC.

We are also trying to conceive #2!

We have been trying for 3 months now and still nothing. My daughter is 2 in October.
I can't work out why it was easier the first time either. I have had my gallbladder removed, lost weight and stopped drinking so much alcohol this time and it is harder.

Last time we weren't really trying seriously so i wonder if this time it isn't happening because we are concentrating on it so much?

We can try again in a couple of weeks so :fingerscrossed: !

Good luck to everyone else in the same boat too!

Hi Amber-87:wave:

I fell pg to my DD on the 2nd cycle TTC...when I was 21. Now I'm 30 & after always saying 1 was enough (amongst other reasons), here I am TTC #2! I don't know if my uterus thinks it isn't needed anymore, but no BFP yet!!!

I'm going to jump straight in to TTC #3 immediately after this one... don't want my body going into early retirement again:laughing:

Good-luck to you (&me!):fingerscrossed: , and everyone else TTC!

OMG! I've been a bit slack catching up on this thread, although I hadn't realised just how slack til I read the last couple of posts!

Well, my big news is that we were successful!! I got a BFP on Tuesday!! We are very excited, although somewhat surprised it all happened relatively quickly (although I guess 6 months for some is not so quick, but for us it was!)

I can't believe we are TTC #2 at the same time Brooke!! Now you are going to have to get your BFP quick-smart, OK?! Wouldn't that be strange if we both had March bubbas?! Best of Luck to you!!!! :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

Hi Amber,

I posted the thread before you, I know how you feel. Distressing is definatly a great word for this journey. I suppose we both need to relax because eventully it will happen, just when it's ready I guess. All I keep saying to myself is "DONT THINK ABOUT IT", but thats like telling a 2 year old not to touch those lollies! It's driving me crazy.

Well hope you feel better, :fingerscrossed: for the both of us hey! This site is great Im sooooo happy I found it when I did, sometimes you cant really talk to family members and friends about all this stuff, but when I came here I felt relieved infact. :)

Best of luck Amber :hugs: Jo

CONGRATULATIONS MRS MIGGINS.:smiliedance:

Amber I'm with you too. I conceived my DS first time. I have just started TTC#2 and have just got a BFN:(
I'm hoping next month will be a lucky one:fingerscrossed:
I sort of expected it to happen first time again but as I have found reading this thread it doesn't always happen that way.
Best of luck to all the girls who are TTC:fingerscrossed:

I really thought i was pregnant this month too. I had really sore breasts and i had light spotting for a week, then BAM i got a really heavy period 2 days before i was due for AF.

Now i don't know when i'm due again because my cycle has been out of whack!

Oh well, we'll try agagin this month!

Good luck to everyone else too.:fingerscrossed:

Oh no abeckaj! Sorry to hear about AF! :( I know how awful it feels to get AF when you really think you're PG. I can't tell you how many times I went through that before falling PG with DD.

Here's some baby dust for next month for you!! *~*~*~*~*~*~*

Good luck!!
