Hi Girls,

Jo, welcome home! Glad you had a great time. Woohoo Alexis is nearly walking!

I've been down visiting my Mum and she came back up with us for a few days. She goes home tommorrow.

Taking Jenna to hockey this afternoon and Koby just woke up from his sleep. I found him sitting on his change table with no nappy on and wee on the floor! Charming!!

Hi everyone...it's been ages since I last saw you all.

Jo, thanks for starting up this thread. I can't believe that Alexis is nearly walking, the last time I saw her she was still so tiny.

Caitlin started pre prep this year and today was her last day of the term as she is only doing part time..Can't believe how quickly it has gone.

Next week we are off to NZ for 10 days so can't wait for that.

Hi to all the new mums out there.

Hope to meet up with everyone again soon.

Hi all  and a big welcome to all the Mums on here.

The hockey Jenna is doing is more like practicing drills and little mock games. They don't quite grasp the concept of team/goal/defend etc as it's all very new to them. But she loves it and it's a great way for her to start learning the whole team concept while running around in the fresh air. Hockey has a hook into hockey program, so for $60 they get registration for the season, a hockey stick, a ball and shin pads. Jen goes down at Palm Beach, but I think they may have something up Labrador way too.

Not much happening around here, Jenna has made friends with some of the neighbourhood kids. They are alot older than her, like 8-12yrs and keep coming and asking if she can play. Now I'm not going to let her out in the street or to thier houses at 4yrs old, so we've been having a few visitors around here this week. I'm trying not to put too much thought into it all, maybe the novelty will wear off soon :fingerscrossed: and I'm settling into my new role of disciplinary mother to all (Jenna has to have tea now, No Jenna can't go to your house, You have to go home now)...not sure I like it though. I feel like she just turned 14!!!!! I'm used to dealing with kids 4 and under!!

Hi!

I couldn't find a mothers group so I'm starting my own! I got the registration kit from Playgroup Australia today! Yay!

If you're interested that's awesome or if you know someone that might be please forward this to them!

Please answer the questions and send them to my email as soon as you get the chance!

1. Are you able to attend Thursdays at 10am? If not, when is good for you?

2. How many children will you bring and what is their age?

3. Since this is a small group, we will meet at Mermaid Beach Park (Gold Coast). Is this a problem for you? In case of rain, we will meet at a member's home. Until we get more members..

4. Can you think of a name for the playgroup?

My email is janiceingerman@hotmail.com

Feel free to send this to anyone who might be interested!!

Talk soon,

janice

You can get there by 111 Hedges Ave, or 116 Gold Coast Hwy, Mermaid Beach.
It's the park behind the community centre:)

Hi Girls!

I'm new to bub hub and would love to join in the chat and meet other mums on the coast. I'm 24 with a 5 year old girl in prep and live on the northern end of the coast. I'm a full-time nursing student and love it, although it can get busy. I study from home so I do find it hard to get out and meet other mums. I'm on facebook too if anyone wants to chat on there.
