I was booked in to the Logan Hospital, but they are now referring me to the Mater, due to the fact I would like a VBAC2 (Logan policy is once you've had 2 caesars, you must have another caesar!). Has anyone had any success with VBAC/VBAC2 at the Mater? What are your experiences?

First c-section was due to breech presentation
2nd birth was successful VBAC!
2nd c-section was due to breech presentation

Stay head down little bub!!

I had a VBAC at the Mater 10 days ago! My 1st was a c-section due to baby getting very distressed. With DD it all just happened really quickly. Started having mild contractions in the day, waters broke at 7 pm, got to the hospital a bit after 8 pm, Ella was born 8.59pm! There was no time for the epidural (which I begged for!!) but it was probably a good thing.. it all just happened so quickly that there was no time for any concerns. They did get the monitor on my stomach for the baby but nothing like the 1st time when I had an internal monitor on his head and tubes hanging out from everywhere.

Congrats!! That's fabulous!! Glad to hear of a recent vbac at the Mater! (hoping vbac2 is also ok). I have had one successful vbac already. It is just such an awesome experience isn't it? You feel so much better after having the baby!! (than a c-section) Ella is such a pretty name too..one I considered! :)
