Its Ethans dedication in a few weeks and i am starting to look for nice ideas for the service...

can anybody suggest

songs ?
bible readings ?
poems ?
anything else nice?

I would choose a scripture and write a poem around that.
Reading poems is simple and doesnt take to long ;)

We had Eden's a couple of weeks ago and one of the best songs I can suggest is from Twila Paris' new lullaby CD (available at Koorong) called Bedtime Prayers. The song is called "Your Whole Life Long". We had it for Eden and every time I listen to it I cry!! I know, I'm a big softy!! Here are the lyrics:

My advice would be to pray and ask God to give you a scripture that sums up what you (& God!!) want for Ethan's life.

My friends had their little guy dedicated the other week. They showed a slideshow just before it. That was really nice.!! :thumbsup:

Another option is if you named Ethan after the biblical one you could find a scripture from there. Our DS#2 is getting dedicated in 2 weeks and the scripture we have picked is from how we named him.
