View Full Version : Benjafield Childcare Centre
I'm interested to hear if anyone has a child, inparticular under 1yr old there and how they find it.
I have a spot for DS but have a few reservations about the age mix, care ratio etc
Just wondering if others have had issues or really are positive about it???

sorry no info about the centre, but I think if you have reservations about the place don't put your little one in there. Don't ignore your gut instincts, they are probably trying to tell you something.

Hi, this might be a bit late... hopefully will help.
Child care very much has to suit the individual family and child. Finding a centre that can accomodate what you want for your child is key - putting your name down and visiting quite a few centres will give you the opportunity to find out what you do and dont like. as a child carer i know how important it is for parents to feel comfortable about the centre - if they dont then this feeling can pass on to the children..... resulting in not a nice time for anyone....
mixed age grouping is not for everyone, generally their is time where the ages are split in a centre that operates like this so that children get the opportunity to play and engage with experiences that are not safe if they were in a mixed age setting.... mixed age settings can work well but parents have to feel comfortable with them...
have you considered family day care???? or looked in to it...???
let us know how you go in finding a spot...
