Hello!

I'm a student, studying a Bachelor of Midwifery at Flinders University (Adelaide). Part of the course requires us to find 30 pregnant women and follow them through their pregnancy. This involves attending antenatal appointments with the woman, being on call for the birth and seeing the woman during the post natal period. All of the above are done under the guidance of a Registered Midwife.

While the benefits for me are obvious, (I will gain valuable experience) there are also a number of benefits for the woman, including:
-continuity of care
-a familiar face during labour
-support and friendship

It's important for me to mention that the woman can change her mind or say no at any time. I believe very much in women centred care and that the woman and her needs are the number one priority.

If you think you would be interested in having a student midwife follow you through this amazing time in your life, or if you have any questions, I can be contacted by the email: renza_34@hotmail.com

I live in the Marion area.

Thanks for your time!
Renee.
