View Full Version : Centrelink Question
This is my first time having to deal with Centrelink. I'm wondering if Centrelink automatically send you a form to update your income details for the new financial year or if you have to go to them? I was working for part of this financial year so my income details will be different as of 1st July & want to make sure I get everything I am entitled to (dont we all  ).
Oh, I should mention I am talking about Family Assistance.
Thanks

They usually do, I've sent my back already as they wanted by I think the 20th June. If you haven't received anything, ring them adn get it sorted.
Yeah we were sent ours a couple of weeks ago. I think my partner updated our details on the net. Must follow up with him to see if that happened. his brain is as mushy as mine I think.
you can update your income details at any time over the net, or over the phone
Hey, I was under the impression they were sending out forms to every one that receives payments cos of the new government changes taking place, we already have gotten ours a few weeks ago. They have to auto update everything cos of the changes but they also have an option where you can fill the form out (my auntie works for centerlink (not by choice:banghead: haha poor woman))
Thanks everyone. A friend mentioned about a month ago that she had received a letter already but she thought that may have been due to child support her hubby pays. I think i might go on the net and update it.
We did move earlier this year, I rang Centrelink but maybe they didnt update it properly...... No hang on, I have a mail re-direction still in place. Oh well, it is Centrelink after all :banghead:
Thanks guys, I'll get onto it ASAP!

yeah you can do this or you can go and see them
Another silly question:
Do I include the money I get from Centrelink (family assistance) as my income? I am not working, the only money I receive is from them so my taxable income is $0. Is this right?
