I need to buy a pram urgently..

I was looking for the prams with the handles that change sides and had settled on one only to find out that they discontinued the pram, so had to go looking all over again

I need some advice??

1. How do the jogger prams handle?
2. Is it better to have a pram with 4 wheels? revsable handle? ( so i can see the baby)
3. Are pump up tires better then the plastic ones?
4. What brand of prams do you find to be good and not too expensive??

Can anyone give me some advice??

We bought a brand new in box Urban Mountain Buggy off ebay for $550. This has been our best investment. It is a 3 wheeler with pump up tyres, its light weight 9kgs and folds flat. Very easy to manouvre at shops and FANTASTIC off road- i live on the beach and it plows through soft sand, also all our roads are dirt and bubs barely feels the bumps. Pricey I know but its worth it.

We have owned a mountain buggy and a Phil and Ted's E3 pram - both three wheelers. The mountain buggy is the best - and a recent Choice magazine article agreed. A friend of mine had a cheapish 4 wheel pram and just bought the MB and agrees - you get what you pay for and the difference is amazing. You can push it with one hand, it turns really easily, it is light and if you are worried about seeing baby you have two options - buy the carrycot attachment (E-bay is good for these too) or use the clear window in the sunroof to look through and watch your sleeping (hopefully!!!) angel!
The Phil and Ted's is okay but fades in comparison to the MB. The best thing about the E3 is the set up for a toddler and baby. Then it is unsurpassed.

Hi
I think most serious jogger prams handle pretty well, but you have to watch the width of them, some are too wide to fit through checkouts and manoevre (sp?) around shops. If you want a single pram to do everything, check the width.

Pump up tyres give a smoother ride, but you'll have to pump them up every now and then (natch!).

We've got a Triton trekker for outdoor outings (and a normal pram for around town). It is wide and long, but v manoeverable - but I still don't like to take it shopping! It is also all steel construction, so it is heavy (15 kg?) - but v strong so you can treat it pretty rough. You might want to think about a toddler conversion too, some 3 wheelers put the toddler above the single front wheel making then v easy to tip over. The triton converts from single seat 3 wheeler to a two seat 4 wheeler, keeping v stable.
