At what age did you take your baby on their first holiday?
Josh was 6 weeks old when we went away for the first time ... that was really hard eventhough it was only overnight. The logistics of going away with a baby (especially a small one) are so much more challenging than a couple just going somewhere overnight. Yet, we went away over and over again in that first year and had fun :)

Only a couple of weeks old, we went away for a few nights. Ds was fantastic, slept the entire time and it was quite nice 2 get away.

Ours will be 9 months old when they go on their first holiday in March next year. I maybe nuts to take 3 9 month old 2 hours from home but we need a holiday now & 12months time is the next best thing.

Edward was 7 weeks old when we travelled to London  Oliver was about 8 weeks when he went on his first flight and Lacey was 14 weeks.
wow...all of you are sooo brave...we waited until our oldest was 19 months old until we went on a decent holiday - a flight away...he was brilliant on the plane. our flight was delayed three hours, the destination airport was closed due to floods and we had to board a bus for a four hour trip to our holiday spot...and despite all of that he slept through most of it and looooooooooved every bit of our holiday...

DD was about 6 weeks old, we went up to my friends family's farm a few hours away, for about a week.
My first born was 3 weeks old when we went away for a week - which was 7 hours in the car. She was an angel and slept for most of it. Then we went away again at about 3 months which was 6 hours away and she was still fine. We took her to America when she was 22 months old and she travelled perfectly. I think the younger you do it, the better they are. Haven't been any further than about 2 hours away with the DD2 but we are going away for a long weekend in May and then an even longer trip in July.

DS was 10 months old when we went overseas to 4 different countries
DD1 was 4mths old and we went to O'Reillys at Lamington National Park and then onto Lennox Heads (so a rainforest and beach holiday) - it was bliss and she was a great baby, so easy to travel with.
Her first flight was when she was nearly 19mths old - to Adelaide to see her great grandparents (Dh's side)
DD2 was 11 weeks old when we went to Mooloolaba for a week after Xmas, unfortunately it rained the whole week, but we still had a nice family time away.
Her first flight was at 6mths of age, when we went to Vanuatu (to see where Dh spent his childhood & his family came along too!)
