What is the best way to get to the CBD from sydney airport?

I have heard you can get a day tripper ticket for $17. Someone also said get a 400 bus to rockdale?? then train to city, where would we get off the bus to get the train?

Just take the train from the airport to Central Station and change to a regular city circle train from there. It leaves from near where you collect your bags after your flight. The website is:
