Vent about health insurance

Early last year I was notified by my health insurer that they were removing certain treatments from the level of health cover that I had. If I still wanted to be covered for these services, I had to upgrade my cover. I opted not to upgrade.
I just got a letter from the insurer notifying me about the fact that my contribution payments are being increased by $10 a fortnight as certain services have been added to the level of cover....yep, you guessed it....all the services that were cut from the cover last year!!

Sadly they're all going up though, it's almost april. It's the same every April

:iagree: I would put in a complaint and look at changing to someone else.

I changed to a different insurer last year as my original one was removing pregnancy related services and I would have to upgrade to the top level (an extra $45 a month!!) If I didn't upgrade by a certain date I and I wanted to be covered for pregnancy again I would have to wait the 12 months again! So I made sure I changed straight away so I would still be covered for pregnancy with the new company.

The company I'm with now are heaps cheaper, even though I got a letter today advising of a price rise from next month.
