WWYD (What would you do)
There's two things that we need to do this year -
Paint our loungeroom
Put up a shed
Bubs is 5 months old.
Hubby wont paint unless the baby is out of the house. This means I have to wait until my parents go away so I can live at their house whilst he paints (End of the year)
Our veranda is full of my husbands c**p and will be a hazard once bubs wants to go outside. Thus we need a shed to put all of his stuff in.
On the flip side, the oppotunity to paint does not come very often due to the issue above.
The shed will take hubby (lets be realistic here) about 6 months to put up and cost about 6 grand.
The loungeroom will take maybe 3-4 weeks to paint.
We are THINKING about #2 bubby as well.
It would be really great if anyone could share their thoughts:hugs:
Other wise I am going to go nuts:banghead:

Can I ask how big your lounge room is?.....we painted our whole house in 3 days:confused:
You would park a double stretchy bus in it and still have room either side:eek:
I would go with the shed. I hate having DH's stuff lying around, hence love having a huge shed now.:)

paint a loung room 3 - 4wks - you should be able to do that in a day two at the most
a shed cost us $2000 with a mate building it and it was up within 3 wks
Hubby's job doesn't give him alot of free time and he resists help from others:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Oh......that would be very frustrating. Whenever we have a big job to do, we gather the troops and then put on beer and bbq at the end.
Anyhow.....I would pick the shed. I hate having man stuff laying around.

id pick shed but definetly get help
Does the place you are buying your shed from install it? I only ask because we put one up about 18 months ago (7 X 6m) and it only cost us an extra $750.00 for them to put it up and it was done in under a week!!! Well worth the money I thought! Saves on the frustration and arguments that are sure to occur if he had tried to do it himself!! Why can't men admit it when they need help?
Sometimes hubby just makes me want to do this repeatedly.:banghead:
Anyway perhaps I'll have to work on this one with him and do some convincing.
Thankyou all for your suggestions.
Have you decided what shed to get? Maybe you could organise it and have it put up while hubby is at work...I know thats what I'd be doing, my DH takes forever to do anything I usually just save up the money to pay someone else to do stuff these days.
You know, that really is tempting!!!
I love him to bits and when he gets around to something he really does a great job of it.
Perhaps thats why we go so well together I just want things done and do it quickly. He want things done but in his time and to his specification. At least he's thorough:smiliedance:
Plus a man's castle is not his house, it's his shed.:D
I have suggested a bar fridge, microwave, TV and an airconditioner for it too. Hmmm perhaps that awful black motorbike picture too.
Oh and that picture of his mum
Sounds like he will be able to move in there!!!
Be warned he will fill it up though. My DH has filled the shed and is starting to encroach on my rumpus room again.....sigh.....race cars i don't know!!!!
