I hope you ladies don't mind, I just wanted to remind myself of my 95%.
Last night my sister told me about something she learnt on a 'happy course' she went to recently. She said that people are generally happy with 95% with their life and not happy with about 5%- but they seem to always forcus on that 5% that they're not happy with. So, I thought I would just take this opportunity to remind myself of my 95%.
So, here it is- my 95%.....
I'm really grateful for all that I have.
I am most fortunate to have my beautiful baby (don't let him hear me saying that he's my baby). He is just absolutely gorgeous. When I go in there of a morning and slowly and quietly wake him up- he always has a smile for me, and lazily puts his little arm around my neck to give me a sleepy hug.
Yesterday for show and tell, he took his blanket to school. I asked him what he wants to take next time for show and tell- he said his blue blanket! :hugs:
Although his questions are tiresome at times- I'm glad he can ask them. I'm gratfeul that he has the power of speech, and hearing to hear my answers.
He is getting so outgoing as well and I love that about him. He'll say hello to the man across the street riding his bike, before realising that the man is riding a bike just like him. He than says that man's bike must eat all his vegies cause his bike is strong just like mine, and we're going to get Mummy a strong bike arn't we. The innocence is so pure and lovely. I hope he never loses it.
I am gratfeul that I have a job, but even more grateful that my job is so flexible. I am able to take off a day here and there to allow some r & r and catch up on the housework and study or leave early so I can get home and Ds and I can go for a bike ride.
I am grateful that my parents look after B 3 nights week so I can study. They are doing me a wonderful favour and hopefully one day I can repay them in some way, I'm also gratfeul of the bond DS has with them. He loves them beyond recognition and I thank them for giving him that.
I'm grateful I can even study in the first place. I'm grateful that my body allows me to do so much and so far hasn't shut down on me. I'm gratfeul DS is so tolerating of the late nights and early mornings- there will be rewards baby cake.
I'm grateful to this beautiful country for helping me financially while I gain my skills. I thank this country for giving me the resources to work so I am not forced to live in poverty. I am gratfeul to DS's daycare for being so wonderful and making me feel completely at ease about leaving my most precious asset there 6 hours a day- I'm grateful for the teachers- you do a fantastic job.
I'm grateful for my DP. He's awsome. So much fun and so much love. He's reliable and can lift my spirits in the darkest times. I'm grateful that he's not unreasonable and he has the same aspirations for our future as I do. I'm lucky to have him.
I'm grateful for you guys where I get allot of support, comfort and advice.
I am grateful I have a mind to use. I'm grateful that I can think logically and rationally. I'm grateful for my mental and physical health.
I'm sure there is so much more but I just wanted to remind myself of this. Have a go- it feels GREAT!
