Calling all J.A.F.A's
Hi,
just interested to know how many Aucklanders (J.A.F.A's) have jumped the ditch, and now call Australia home!?
I'm originally from the North Shore, I moved to Oz in 2001 - wow its nearly been 5 years!
It's hard living away from family & friends especially with Bub, but lovin it heaps here on the Gold Coast. Definately glad i'm not freezing my butt off over there right now
Looking forward to hearing from fellow J.A.F.A.S :p
Hi Carlz
I think there are a few of us. We're newbies. Arrived here on 19 Feb 06. Deciding to move closer to the coast - for work - hopefully in the next month. On the north side at the mo. We are from Pukekohe so the other end of Auckland. Definitely not missing the weather, but missing family and friends and finding myself a bit lonely! Loving Bubhub though.
Not an original JAFA, a manawatu girl who only lived in Auckland for a couple of years before moving to the gold coast, then Brissy and now sydney.
Lived in Milford, Onehunga and then Glenfield. Worked in the city, Penrose and then Takapuna. all my family are in Auckland now so I never go back to Palmy, just go back to Auckland. Mother lives in ramarama.
Not an original JAFA,
Ditto Born in the waikato brought up in the Bay of Plenty but lived as a Westie and worked downtown in JAFA land for 2 1/2 years before taking a short visit home and then over the ditch.
Been here since March last year.
Yes it is hard being away from family, I think they miss my girls more than they miss me hehe :p

I'm not a JAFA, born and bread in Canterbury, but hubby is a Jaffa, we're all loving it here, and wouldn't go back, only for holidays

Yes I'm a JAFA from Glendene in Waitakere City. We have been here in Rockingham WA since Nov 2005. Love the weather and living by the coast. We have bikes and go bike riding as a family. We just started our new online business and have found the local business people to be so friendly and helpful. So far we are really happy.

Sorry to gate crash this thread but I'm trying to track a long lost friend, Emma, who is from Auckland.
She would be turning 31 this year and lived around Howick, I think. If anyone else is from around that area and is around the age I'd love to hear from you. She also has a sister a few years younger, Vicki.
I know this is probably a long shot but you never know, NZ is not that big!

 Hi
I'm a JAFA - born and raised in Mt Albert, then lived around the city (grr I've turned into an aussie - it's Downtown you fool!! LOL) Grey Lynn, Newmarket, Queen St.
I moved over to Sydney in January 05, where I met my now fiance, and we had our bub in June this year.
I'm living in the Botany area if anyone else is around here and wants to catchup, post back or pm me. It'd be good to have some good KIWI company!!

OMG, sooooo many J.A.F.A's :p
*west coaster runs off to hide in the gorse* :D
I'm off across the ditch on Saturday, to take the little mokopuna over there to meet his nanna and pop for the first time.
Will be heading down to Hamilton and then to Whangamata.
Not looking forward to driving on them kiwi roads, they're all crazy over there and I have forgotten the art of overtaking on a country road, eeek.
Shame my wee boy is too young to be introduced to the joys of the pineapple fru ju!! Next time.

Hehe...I found it a bit of a challenge after 6 years of Aussie M1.
I'm not a true JAFA, was born and raised in Puhoi (anyone know the pub?) and lived on the Hibiscus Coast, spent only 2 years living in Auckland, in Ellerslie, working in Pakuranga.
Then down to the beautiful Bay of Plenty!
