Not sure if you are still interested, but although it was almost a year ago, mine was a bit different :)

A couple of friends organised it for me. It was for my second child (but i didnt get one for my first) so they didnt want to give all the usually baby stuff.

They got my friends and family together, and everyone brought a plate of food.

Each guest had a square of fabric to decorate. Some drew pictures, or ironed on photos, used transfers and fabric paint. They sewed all the squares together to make a beautiful baby quilt!

It was such a lovely day, and ill be keeping the quilt forever :thumbsup:

My best friend & SIL hosted a ‘high tea’ baby shower for me at a local café when I was 34 week pregnant with Edward. There was approximately 30 guests, we didn’t play any silly games, just had a relaxing girls afternoon, I loved it. :goodvibes:

Given that it is generally considered poor etiquette to have Baby Shower for subsequent children yet I like to celebrate every birth we had a ‘Welcome Baby Party” for Oliver & Lacey. We set one day aside (it was a Saturday when they were about 6 weeks old) we invited our friends around to drop around anytime between 10am-4pm to meet the new addition, my best freind and SIL hosted, we had lot of finger food, savoury & sweet. It was a great catch up with our friends given how hectic the first few weeks with a newborn are. I also think it also stoped people asking ‘when can we meet the new baby’ and so forth, anyways I have very much enjoyed all the baby occasions I have had.:goodvibes:
