My mothers group have changed to lunchtime and I need ideas for food to bring. DD eats just about anything so not really sure what’s good.
We all bring something to share between kids (all around 18months ) and mums. It needs to be easy to eat, for up to 10 kids, and easy to make so I don’t have to stress to much in the morning and healthy and something kids will like (though we all bring something so if the most fussy ones don’t like it that’s OK) I was thinking of a veggie frittata? Would your kids like that? Maybe with grated zucchini and potato, finely chopped spinach, little bit of cheese?
Any other ideas for future weeks would be greatly appreciated? And luckily somehow none of the kids in our MG is allergic.
Thanks.

A few easy puff pastry recipies.
mini homemade sausage rolls. Get sausages and wrap in puff pastry. Cut into 2cm bits and bake.
mini vegemite scrolls. Spread a sheet of puff pastry with vegemite and top with grated cheese. Roll up and cut into 1cm legnths and bake.
mini pasties. cut puff pastry into 4cm squares. Put a teaspoon of (chicken mince, cabbage, carrot, any other veg and spices. I like morrocan seasaning. Blend together to make paste and mix with 1 egg.) on middle of pastry. Fold diagonly and crimp edges. Bake until golden brown.
mini pizzas. Cut puff pastry into 4cm squares. spread tomato paste on each square. Top with topping of choice. put grated cheese on top. Bake until cooked.
Mini quiches. Cut puff pastry into rounds that will fit into mini muffin moulds. In a blender mix 3 eggs, 1/2 cup cream, 1/4 tin crushed tomato, 150gms feta cheese. Pour into pastry in muffin tin so 3/4 full. Add veg or meat of choice to centre. Bake until set.
I think the vegetable frittata sounds a good choice as children we had vegetable pikeletts (savoury pikelett recipe with vegies). My daughter doesn't like them so I haven't made them in ages they were so simple though. I usually take fruit, little sandwhiches would be easy but not nearly as fun or good for them as your idea would be.
swedishchick - can you post the recipe for your fritatta? I am looking for some different things to make for my kids and this sounds great...thanks

I went with the frittata in the end - I'm a little limited on sandwich material at home at the moment as I'm pregnant - but obviously that's a good choice in the future.
The frittata was just a made up one based on things I happened to have home: I just thinly sliced the potatoes and boiled very quickly, I layered it at the bottom and then another layer of thinly sliced zucchini. Then just beat the eggs (I used 7 for a large fry-pan) with a few herbs and grated cheese and poured over the top. Cook on low-medium heat on the hotplate until almost set then finish of the top in the grill for a few minutes.
I made a mistake with the potatoes, I think they need a quick saute in the pan after being boiled as they made things just a little soggy otherwise.
