View Full Version : Constantly brings up!!!
My bubs is 10 weeks old . .
Why does she constantly bring up???
She spews so much after her meal (i burp her enough i'm sure!) and she'll keep spewing big and little spews up to an hour before her next feed!!
Its all the time!! I have towels and bibs galore on hand wherever we go! She makes a mess everywhere!!!
She doesn't cry or seem bothered by it, does this mean its not reflux???
Is this normal?
Hi Trix,
My bubs isn't born yet but I can try to help as DH's cousin went through the same thing and I remember a few bits and pieces from her.
If you are breast feeding, that I am not sure of, but if you are bottle feeding, it could be the bottle you are using. Check the teat and it's flow. Some teats let too much air in while bubs is drinking, hence the spewing up. So maybe check the teats, you may need to try a few different ones. As far as DH's cousin said to me, the longer the actual bottle the better and Karicare formula seems to stay down a bit better too.
I hope this helps. Good Luck.

Yep sounds like silent reflux to me:yes:
Speak to your chn OR gp and see what kind of thngs may help your bub.
Good luck and :hugs: I know how hard reflux can be on both mum and bub!
Hi.
Both of my children had/have reflux.
DD had it until 8 months and DS is now 6 months and still going.
Both of them breastfed (DD was both bf and bottle), but they sound like your little one. Unfortunately your little one sounds like she definitely has reflux.
My 2 never cried, so they never had any pain. They smile through their vomitting.
DD was taken for all sorts of check-ups but all I was told was there was nothing physically wrong. The valve above her oesophagus hadn't matured yet, so it allows milk (and later solid foods) back up. With time it matures, the flap stays shut and things dont' make a reappearance.
I suppose we should just be glad that they are not in screaming pain and the only pain is the constant laundry, and fashion parade as you go through numerous outfits each day.
(amazing how they know when you're in a rush and about to head out all dressed and ready to go and then... :barf: :banghead:

Hi,
My DS#1 had bad reflux and colic.. the only thing's i can really suggest is if you're formula feeding bubby try switching her to S26-AR (anti-reflux) and where ever your bub is sleeping whether in a cot or bassinette, try and elevate it a little so her head and chest is higher than her tummy and feet. Fold up a thick baby blanket and stick it underneath her mattress.
Good Luck hon :hugs:

Sounds like reflux if you are breastfeeding try the karicare thickener before or after feeds you just syringe it into there mouth... or if on bottles put it in the bottle... but i would go see the doc just to rule out possible sickness like a UTI as they can vomit alot with stuff like that...
My bubs has had it and the karicare thickener is great he only every really vomits when I dont put it in the bottle.. It does say on the tin to use quiet a bit in bottles but I only use one scoop cause I find it way to think (it's just like a thickshake)
Good luck

My DS used to do this all the time, he had to wear bibs almost fulltime until he was 6 months old.
If it's not bothering him, don't let it bother you. Just pack a few cloth nappies to use as clean-up rags. It always looks much larger when they bring it up than it really is.:hugs:
