Hi everyone
With DS being 6 weeks now and DD 2 - I am wanting to get a double pram stroller. We already have a single stroller and pram - however DD does need to be strapped in as she tends to wander off and not want to co=operate.
What double pram have you got? Would you recommend it?
Thanks!

We have a Phil & Teds pram and i would not recomend it as a single pram but it does work well as a double. There are some down sides, it is heavy to get in and out of the car, difficult to fold, and the wheels keep getting flat. But i found that is the most versitile and there is nothing like it on the market. It pushes well, and is very compact (this is the best feature i think, and the reason that i bought it). I would sell it when my DD1 nolonger sits in the pram.
Hope that helps.
Peg Perego Twin Aria 60/40 - love it, so light only 8kg and can take up to 20kg in each seat which is rare as lots only take 15 or 17kg.
Steelcraft Duo Twin - it is not as good, but heaps cheaper and folds up umbrella style so is more compact if you have a small car, it weighs about 12kg to lift
I love side by side and so do my kids....so P&T not an option for us

Hey i dont know if i'll be much help, i just bought a 3 wheeler with a toddler seat to attach on top (i'm 22 weeks with number 2 so i cant tell you if its any good with the toddler seat, but its a smooth pram on its own.) the only problem with a toddler seat is that your toddler cant sleep in it so if your bubba doesnt sleep much during the day or your able to organise trips around nap time then it'll be ok. i wanted to get the phil and teds for this reason but i dont get out enough to justify spending that kind of money on a pram, mine was $299 for the pram and $69 for the toddler seat, it's called BOOTIQ RUBY TREK, it is nice and padded inside, adjustable handle, has a really good double brake etc, etc and it came with a storm cover and foot muff (P&T comes with nothing!!) just no naps for your toddler while your out.

I wold highly highly recommend what I just bought - hrm not sure what it was!! hehe
it was a mother's own double buggy? (i think?) it's a stroller and not much bigger than the normal sized pram. it was on special at toys r us for $220.

LOL you have mentioned all my fave prams!!
I wanted the peg perego for the twins, but with the dickie seat in the back of he pram, wanted something that folded a bit more compact....so went for the steelcraft duo twin :yelclap:. We ahven't used it yet, except for pushing my almost 4yo and almost 2yo around the house, but they love it, and i can get through doorways (have to go backwards to keep the wheels straight as it *just* fits!) Downside is that the baskets are tiny, and totally unaccessible when the seats are laying down, but lots of prams are like that. It folds down quite a bit smaller than the peg perego.
But as soon as the twins can sit up...we will be going back to the P&T with doubles kit. Love, Love, Love it! It's narrow, lightweight and the kids actually fight over who sits in the back (2yrs age gap, but only 3kg weight dif). The P&T does get expensive by the time you buy all the accessories to go with...but you can get nice coccoons that aren't P&T brand from ebay or other shops, so that is an option.

I had the Babyco Lite Limo because my kids were only 14 months a part and the older one still needed to be able to sleep while we were out. This lasted me until DS1 was 3.5 when their combined weight finally bent the front wheel when I was coming off a curb.
It was easy to take into stores, especially in isles that are small but it is bulky and takes a bit of effort to get into the boot.
At $299 it was worth it because it lasted me a long time (but that price is from 5 years ago so it may be more now).
I'm not keen on the side by sides because it limits access in some shops. But I wouldn't have minded trying a twin jogger if I had thought of it at the time.
