I had a urine test this week and it came back positive for a bladder infection and that I have strep B.
I'm now 35 weeks pregnant.
I've been given anti's to take now for my bladder infection.
The doctor gave me my options and I was just wondering what other lady's have done in my position.
These are what my options seem to be...
-Do nothing - choose not to have anti iv'd during labour
-If I go into labour have iv'd anti's
BUT my main concerns are what to do with my waters break but I don't go into labour (which is what happened both times with my mum)
-go straight into hospital and be induced and have anti's iv'd
or
-take oral anti's for a day and see if I go into labour myself
The doctor said the oral anti's aren't as effective but couldn't give me numbers...
I'm going through a birting center and if I'm induced I wont be able to have my baby there but I don't know if it's worth putting my baby at risk? Is there a great risk?
