To import sperm from oversea you need to go through a clinic.
We have DYI but other friends have used sperm from oversea with IVF.

:iagree: You need to go through a clinic in order to use sperm from overseas.
With the laws here it is essential that the overseas donor allows their details to be released when the child turns 18. This is not a pre-requisite in some countries and as such they have a much higher rate of sperm donation.
Through the clinic, and only a few do it, it costs extra to have it imported however, there is a shortage of sperm here and when i looked into it the waiting lists ranged between 12 months to 2 years which you don't have if you pay to have the sperm imported. I think it was about 3k but i could be pulling that number from another quote.
I would love to be able to have it like the Americans and order some sperm over the net and have it delivered to the house!!! I went to one of the websites and looked through a catalogue of donors  ... i was like a kid in a candy store! :D
