i am currently 6 weeks pregnant with no.2 and i am having really bad lower back pain.:( :(
I am also experiencing pain in my groin. I have been told that i am in a high risk for m/c due to my overactive thyroid, so i am starting to get worried with this back pain.
Has anyone experienced this pain and what did you do to help it besides, heat pack, baths and panadol.???
:hugs: Have you had a beta HCG blood test done? If so, maybe a second one to compare levels would put your mind to rest?
I think you'd need to speak to your dr about any pain relief other than heat and panadol, but it sounds like a chat to your dr would be the best thing for your peace of mind right now anyway.
Good luck :hugs:

I had some really bad lower back pain early on in my second pregnancy I also remember complaining to my OB at about 12 weeks pain down really low like my coxix area. It did pass for me thank god as i can't remember having much of it in the last couple months before birth unless i had over done it! Good luck:hugs:

I went to my Gp about the pain and she said it is common to have lower back pain in the first couple of weeks of being pregnant.
As long as there is no cramping and bleeding everything is ok.
She said being pregnant the second time you feel different things as to the first pregnancy and i probably had back pain, but i just can't remember it now.
I have started having acupunture for m/s and the lower back pain and it has improved greatly.
When it all boils down to it, if anything is going to happen such as m/c it is all out of my hands.
I am 24 weeks and instead of having lower back pain I have really been struggling with pain right up near my right breast near the ribs and spine, it becomes really painful when I sit esp for longer than 20 mins! I have tried all sorts of ways of sitting and the only thing that seems to work is my heat pack, is this the position of the baby?
