Thanks Mim, you are so organised:thumbsup:

Busy week again, doing head teacher again this week- so worked today on my day off- and in science of all places- I found it really interesting- use to hate the subject when in high school.
Catering a 50th for 100 people on Saturday so sort of hoping I get Friday off to prepare.

Bridgets tanties are still going- only performs for dh or I, MUM and the MIL have not had a problem with her- they have not seen what we have seen. She got cranky when shopping today and went over to a pole and starting hitting and kicking it- she is wild when she gets in the tanty zone!!

DD1 got punched in the eye by some boy at karate tonight- and no not during sparing- the little punk had a disagreement with DD1 and went up to her and slogged her one in the eye- not too impressed I can tell you!- They lady who's hubby owns the Karate school is a friend of mine from work and they have just rung to invite Olivia to the Royal Bathurst Show with them on Friday- maybe feeling a little guilty- lol.

Better move- need to make a cuppa and get Phoebe to bed before NCIS starts in 10 minutes!

3divas: ow poor dd1, hows the eye today?

Things are looking really good here for a positive test! I cant wait, ive ordered 50 poas for my soon to be poas-a-thon LOL
I tested with Kate at 8dpo cos of stinging nipples and last night they started!!! That along with a metalic taste in my mouth and constant mild headaches that come and go, i never suffer from them! If I do its only from my bad neck when its hurting and these are totally different and my necks fine
also bloated, so much so I couldnt fit into my work jeans yesterday or today!!!!!
hard not to get excited when there are those symptoms..
Ill be sad if not but not gutted just yet, just disappointed as got my hopes up a bit

oh and gave in for the bottle! Im such a push over lol
She went that night and the day without but come bed time she just wouldnt settle and i had a headache so gave her one, she promptly went off.

:yelclap:Yay :fingerscrossed: for you Tabby!!!

DD1's eye looks ok today- lucky it is not bruised!!

Suppose to be at work- ducked home to grab something and though I have 15 minutes up my sleeve, will just check the hub!

Tabby, I think I'm going to be a little green-eyed when you get your BFP :bfp:! I can't believe David is my last baby :(

Michael has been so sweet when he's not chucking a tanty. He's getting very helpful, putting loads of things away - some even in the right places! Lots of kisses for mummy and very loving towards his brothers too. He even puts DS1's shoes at his feet when it's time to get dressed - this may also be to get him to hurry along!

DS1 gets his stitches out tomorrow arvo. He's let me change the dressing again and it's looking neat - my baby will definitely have a scar though :(

Tabby
04-03-2009, 08:32 PM
Aw Sammy, where exactly was the knock?
Think of it this way, he will now have a battle scar to show the girls when hes older

I understand..When I said Kate was my last I was very envious of other bfps so i know how you feel :hugs:

SammyG
04-03-2009, 08:39 PM
Tabby, no avoiding seeing this scar - it's a horizontal line right between his eyebrows

Tabby
04-03-2009, 09:20 PM
oh dear! Sammy, hopefully because of his young age it will be barely noticeable in years to come,
ds1 had a nice one just above his lip and years later you could barely see it, only time really shows up now is when hes tanned! It stays pale.

mim1
05-03-2009, 05:50 AM
My brother had one of those scars Sammy - he fell down a full flight of stairs at the age of 3. Although it was quite a big cut, the scar faded a lot and within a few years it was barely noticeable at all.

tabby ... sounds promising. keep us updated when you test :)

3Divas ... sorry to hear about your dd1's eye, ouch!

Chaos reigns here again. Mum had Josh yesterday and said he was fragile, clingy and teary all day. Then, when we tried to put him to bed last night he refused to let us out of his sight and screamed and screamed (very unlike him). He usually hates sleeping in our bed, but he screamed 'mummy daddy's bed', so eventually we gave in (it was my bedtime anyway) and within 2 minutes in bed with me he was asleep. We put him back in his cot 45 minutes later, but he woke at 3am screaming and ended up back with us. It must be a nasty ear infection - it's so like what he did 12 months ago. But that means he needs new grommets asap. bother. He's home today with dh all day, so once he wakes up it's off to the doctors for an ear check.

Tabby

Mim: Hope Josh is more settled today xxx

Kate woke every hr last night!!!!
Feel absolutely shattered now and have work soon

shes still asleep now, which she does if she wakes often. Least ive got my coffee and bubhub time in peace before she wakes

Very quiet here since start of March..

Hope everyones well xx

**** of a day at work, really starting to resent going to work now, doubt will change too as boss is going down deeper and its not selling and their moods are going down with it. really snappy!
I understand why they are feeling that way but I dont like working in that environment, not long term anyway.
Can always tell when they are fighting as both in bad mood and not talking to each other..So tense can cut the air with a knife

Hi Everyone,

No personnals tonight. Just got home from the hospital with DSD2 and i'm buggered. Both the 2 little ones are down for the night. T1 is fully toilet trained :yelclap:. Risk it today by letting him wear jocks to the hospital and he was awesome. When he needed to pee he said "wee mum" and for a poo it was "poooooo mummy" I was really dreading to tt T1 but he was so easy to train. T1 also got rid of all of his sipper cups the other day (in the bin:laughing:) So now he uses his thomas the tank cup if he needs a drink.

Anyway i'm starving, time to have some dinner. Hubby is home tomorrow night and i sooo can't wait :smiliedance:

Have a great night
Kelxx

Strawberry - just wanted to say congratulations re: TT - that is awesome! inspiring even :)

caitlin has been trying out stalling for bedtime the last couple of months.
OH NO MUM butterfly fell off! (reattach butterfly to a canvas wallhanging I made)
OH NO MUM blanket! (smooth quilt down at the bottom of the bed
OH NO MUM polar! (ensure that polar bears pillow is the right way up and that polar is laying on his side)
OH NO MUM drawers are open (ensure that drawers are fully pushed in)
OH NO MUM blanky! (pull blanky from underneath her and curl it round her neck
OH NO MUM bokkle empty! (refill with water)
OH NO MUM [silence as caitlin frantically thinks of something out of place]
Goodnight caitlin sleep tight love you (shut door to a screaming child who proceeds to yell OH NO MUM for the next half hour.

Maybe I'm indulging her and encouraging her by fixing it all up - it was cute for a while but now :hair: I thought this would be a little stage!!

Cordelia I was reassurred when I read that children of this age love order and routine and the book gave the example of saying goodnight before or after turning the light off can upset some toddlers. But, does she have to say 'oh no mum', or that is a little game perhaps? Josh has a night time routine and I just talk him through it:

"Lie down
Cuddle Pooh bear
Here's Duckie & Mickey & Caterpillar (yes, he has 4 soft toys)
Here's the sheet, and the blanket and the thomas quilt
The airconditioner is on
The fan is on
Goodnight Josh
Mummy loves you
See you in the morning."

He does often interrupt before I get to the fan saying 'fan on mummy', but other than that he doesn't say much. However, if we forget any of those steps he often won't go to sleep and he'll lie in his cot screaming 'fan on!' or 'conditioner on!', etc. So, maybe you can come up with a way to calm her anxieties maybe even talking through the steps in the form of a song?

Tabby
06-03-2009, 10:02 AM
Same for us here.
Miss any of Kates bed routine and she screams the house down until its done

ours is
Read time 15-20mins
nappy change
Blanket on ( she has 3 and decides which on the night)
decides on which teddy to sleep with
fan on
cd on
kisses all round
bottle
"goodnight sweetheart"
light is left on...she decided few weeks ago something was scary

If shes not quite tired she will call out and ask for a different teddy...say its too hot and want to lay closer to fan...few diff things...all just a stall to go to sleep

Strawberry_Shortcake
06-03-2009, 05:19 PM
ours is pretty straight forward

clean teeth
toilet
has a little cup of water
gives everyone kisses and cuddles
puts his cd on (hi 5 of cause lol)
night light on
have to make sure he's fan is on
i give him a big cuddle and kiss and then i say love you and T1 replies love you bye and waves at me

T1 and T2 went to daycare today and loved it. T1 wasn't ready to go home when I got there. He was to busy climbing the equipment outside. T2 was abit teary at first (and so was I) but she enjoyed her day. T2 was busy eating a biccie when i arrived.

Strawberry: wonderful on the TT ! thats a big step, well done to Talon

Glad day care went well too!

nothing much here.
never been so happy to see Friday.

Anyone got imaginary friends yet? Kate walks round with "Dora" all day just about lol
She sends her to the cubby to cook, she eats lunch and shares it with her and plays beside her..
But shes a cheeky dora sometimes..she runs away and makes katie chase her and bring her back with a stern
"dont run away Dora!" "stay here"
love it!

Hi guys- been mia this week a little- busy again with work- had today off though as I am catering a party tomorrow night for 100 people so had a busy day- just finished off tonight- still a bit to do tomorrow!!

TT- well done strawberry- not sure when bridget will get there- she talks about it alot:laughing: wish she would just do it!!!

Bedtime- usually a nightmare here- esp with Bridget being in a bed- she is up and down all the time- then you can think she is aslepp and you walk past the room and the light is on and she is palying with her toys or she tip toes backwards out to the lounge room after 9pm- she is a little rat! We do the whole pj change, kisses and stories etc- a good routine which indicates its bedtime- but does not always wind the kidlets down.

Cant wait til this w/e is over and life winds down a bit for me, though my little baby will be 1 next week! Yep- 1 week from today my little baby will be one- I cant talk about it, makes me too emotional- just want to cry:crying:

Heya all  just thought I would pop in and say hi and how is everyone.
We are great getting used to the 2's and what bad patties come with it but in all Lachlan is going well and bub is doing well. We have got into the swing of things having 2 bubs and Hubby working away so I am now feeling better about it all.:sunshine:

Hi guys- it is rather quiet in here- 8 days into March.

I catered last night for a party of 100- although there was 100 people there at one single time- so much food left over!! Oh well- it was a paid job.

DD1 has a friend over and miss Bridget wont leave them alone- she wants to join in everything they do aswell.

Phoebe slept til 8:30 this am :fingerscrossed: its the start of something good- I might actually be able to stop b/fing.

Hey everyone

Well it's been a while since I've popped in here so have spent a far while reading back!

Tabby - your symptoms sound promising! My fingers and toes are crossed for an excellent poas outcome! No imaginary friends here but that is very cute! And hope work gets better soon - I know how it feels when the atmosphere is just sh!t.

3divas - could it be B diet that is making her a little terror? Only ask cause a friend of mine has a little girl who was being a terror and when she looked into her diet and cut out preservative 282 she became a completely different kid! But then again maybe B is just full of girly spunk :raspberry: Glad to hear the catering gig went well! Can't believe P is neary 1 - where did that go! Are you having a partay?

Kewl - glad to hear you are coping with the 2 boys ok without DH - it's good to get into a routine isn't it?!

Strawberry - awesome news about T1 being TT and its such a relief when you know your kids are happy at dc isn't it? do you have a job yet or still looking?

2'snuff - hope you are having an awesome time on your holiday! See you soon ;-)

routines - glad to hear Cooper isn't the only one with his own little routine. Ours goes:

we heat bottle up (yes still doing it otherwise "too cold mummy"!)
say night night to Daddy
in bed with Bundy
mummy lays in bed with my head on the car (car shaped pillow)
read one spot book
"here's Bundy, here's bottle, sheet up"
egg on (night light)
"night night love you"
light off

Although we sometimes have him running back out cause he just isn't ready for bed but it is put back into bed with only the "night night love you".

We are off to Perth in 11 days - woo hoo! Can't wait! Although it will be an interesting flight cause I will basically be looking after the kids by myself. Nick is on graveyard shift and will finish work at 6am and we have to be at the airport by 7.30am for a 8.30am flight. so am guessing he will be snoring his head off the whole time! And I'm really hoping Coopers ears don't play up:fingerscrossed: Went to the ENT and both grommets are out which was fine as both ears were clean and healthy. But he then caught a cold and of course left ear (problem ear) he has an ear infection:banghead: so we are on antibiotics and hopefully be cleared up by next week!

Not too much else going on. Helping mum and dad move into their new house (finally after 2 years)! And of course Darcie is being an absolute dream baby! Cut 2 teeth a couple of weeks ago at 5 months and I wouldn't have known except I was letting her gnaw on my thumb!

Anyways enough :ecomcity:
Chat later, Shaz :-)

Hi shazza- good to hear from you again. Goodluck with your flight to Perth- sounds like a challenge- dh will just have to wait and sleep when he gets there- ha ha:laughing:

Well busy again this week for me- working 4 days, would do 5 if it was not Phoebe's bday on that day- bit of a party has been organised.

Better get these kids dinner- Bridget will be early to bed tonight after no day sleep again today.

Wow 3Divas, you certainly are busy at the moment. Yay for P sleeping in!

Hi Shazza, great hearing from you!

Tabby, is it 8DPO yet? Hurry up 8DPO!!!

Us, well DS1 went to the in-laws overnight and boy is it quiet without him around and I notice big differences with M when he is by himself. More words seem to pop out whenever DS1 isn't here to do all the talking for him. This morning M raced out with a cheery 'hello' for the builders currently doing work around the place. Usually Ben beats him to it and he just gives them cheeky grins. We have decided to defer gymbaroo for this term and next until M is more co-operative. If he is still too difficult come Term 3, I will take David to the baby sessions instead (I've paid for 1 term) Other than that everything is hunky dory, David's still being an angel, 4months old on Fri  Where has that time gone???

3Divas&me
10-03-2009, 06:56 AM
Good to hear from you Sammy- bugger about M being uncoperative for the gymberoo, but I know how you feel- why put yourself through that unnecessary stress!!
Your baby is 4moths on Friday and mine is 1- time flys by all too quickly!

Off to work this am- just popped in for a quick squiz.

Cordelia

Not much action in here! thanks for posting your routines. I've just started leaving her door open so maybe that will help her if it's anxiety that's making her yell out. we have "special family time", bottle and story, lights off and then pray which has always been the same. I think she doesn't like to go to sleep knowing that Daniel is still up (he has his feed once she's in bed).. maybe i can try switch that too.

3divas - sounds like you've been way busy. I can't believe you'll have a 1 year old already!!

Shazza - good luck with the flight! let us know if you want to meet up. perth ppl are welcome to come here for a coffee one morning? we'll figure it out....

sammy - shame about gymbaroo. We find it a bit too structured and formal for caitlin too. we have a similiar "tumble tots" down the road which is a bit freer... same sort of stuff but they allow kids to wander a bit more.

us - hrm. caitlin has been really grouchy. she had a very bad fall and hit her head in the same place she split her head open on the weekend so if she keeps up this continuous whinging i might take her to the doctor. it's been 3 days tho... arghh. very hard to handle at the moment. feel like her whinging is going to split MY head open!! It's difficult to remain upbeat and positive with handling her all day long. this morning she deliberately tipped my coffee all over the lounge while i was feeding and then I tried to put her on my knee with daniel to read her a story and she started shrieking because it was the wrong book and could i go get another one. (no i couldnt i was busy) yiiiiiiiiikes surely i'm due for a few good weeks!!!

i still have a good 45 minutes up my sleeve before she wakes so better go make use of it. (like think of an amazing activity to keep her occupied until DH gets home!!!)

Tabby

Sammy: Im probablyly 8dpo..clomid can lengthen your cycle (LP) so might not be where I think I am
Neg so far but not worried yet as could be way off dates
I have the FS again on the 22nd and if not pregnant I at least hope my blood work tells me I ovulated so have a chance. Might even ask about IUI (? i think thats it lol ) with the clomid to give a even better chance.

3divas: Hope this week is easier on you than last?

shazza: lovely to hear from you again
sounds like your doing really well! Good for you
hope the ear infection clears well for your Perth trip!

Tabby ... all the best for testing!

3Divas ... I hope that Friday is a fun day for you and somehow a little relaxing :)

cordelia ... it sounds like you are having a rough time. I hope caitlin settles down soon.

sammy ... 4 months has flown! How quickly our children grow!

shazza ...great to hear from you. Glad you are going well - all the best for the flight to perth!

kewlchic ... hi  ah, the joys of tantrums - got them here too - more each day!

us ... extremely busy around here but we're doing well. Apart from that one bad night last week Josh has been sleeping well, so there's no rush for grommets which is good. Josh has started singing songs it's very funny. On the change mat a couple of days ago he randomly said 'ants marching go' and it took me a minute to understand what he wanted. So, then I sang 'the ants go marching two by two, hurrah, hurrah' and he was singing along and having a ball! Then on our walk last night we let him walk instead of go in the pram and he was running dragging my husband (where do 2 year olds get their energy??) and then saying 'stop' to make them stop and then 'go' when he was ready to go again. I really love this age, he's so adorable (most of the time, I'm ignoring the tantrums of course).

Hi all

Glad it hasn't been too busy in here and I've manged to catch up. Haven't been on as much - have been having little naps while Cameron has his and then I'm not long behind Cameron for bed at night time. Honestly I don't remember being this nauseaous with Cameron but maybe I was keeping on top of it better sitting at a desk nibbling snacks all day long. I'm actually not too bad in the morning but worse as the day goes on. With Cameron I could still manage salad even when I went off vegies but even that's a struggle this time. Lucky for multivitamins!

Tabby - fingers are still crossed for you

Mim - I agree it is a great age. Cameron starts singing little songs now too and really participates in his Kids In Harmony classes now doing all the actions for different songs. He also prefers walking to being stuck in the pram - for our morning walk now he has to go in teh pram for the first half so the dog gets walked at a decent pace but on the return trip he walks or I take along his trike to ride. Tires him out more than just being taken for a ride!

Cordelia - definitely sounds lke you have some sibling rivalry on your hands. Cheeky little miss! I must admit I prob wouldn't be too happy if my little brother was staying up later than me so you could be on to something.

3Divas - wishing you lots of energy for another big week at work and hosting Phoebe's bday party. Where has the year gone!

Shazza - all the best for a safe trip to Perth

Sammy - oh well. I'm sure David will enjoy gymbaroo even if Michael isn't up for it!

Take care all

Hey everyone

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY PHOEBE!!!

3divas - I really hope you all have a wonderful day for this big milestone! Can't believe how much work you've been doing lately - how much longer will you be doing it?

Strawberry - lucky you having a child free day. I'm looking forward to the day when I can offload both kidlets and have a day to myself! A day full of not much sounds like a wonderful day to me ;)

Tabby - tested yet? (no pressure or anything lol!) How is work going? hope the bosses have chilled out a bit!

Cat - Hope the m/s doesn't stick around for too long! And you forget about how tired you get hey? Luckily when I was pg with Darcie Cooper was still having 2 day sleeps which was bliss! Getting excited about it all?

mim - how cute about the singing! We don't have any singing yet but likes to clap along to stuff and off course mummy do too! glad to hear that losing the grommet hasn't affected Josh too much! oh and completely agree that this age is wonderful!

cordelia - *hugs* cause it sounds like Caitlyn is definately testing her boundaries! Have you tried putting Daniel to bed first yet? How did it go? I have 2'snuff address and we were hoping to meet up one weekend. Will prob hear back from her once she gets back from holidays! It would be great to meet up with all you girls. We are staying in Hocking so not too sure how far that is from everyone? Oh and I don't know how you feel about chiro's but when Cooper hit his head he was in a foul mood for about a week. Then when we went to chiro he asked me if he had been in a bad mood cause he had a plate that was out in behind his ear.

Sammy - happy 4 months to David! Can't believe how quickly how babies are growing up! Any more cakes coming up or are you having a well deserved break? Hope M is behaving himself for you!

Us - not much going on. Have to clean this pigsty of a house today. Less than a week until we go to Perth - think I might start packing stuff this weekend. And have a gf birthday breakfast on Sunday am so will have to go the shops tomorrow and get her something. Kids are good - back to the dr to check that Coopers ear infections is all gone this week :fingerscrossed:

Anyways, will chat later,
Shaz :-)

:flowerz: Happy 1st Birthday Phoebe!: :flowerz:

Pretty busy here, have Baptism invites to make & send by the end of the weekend, 3 cakes due by end of the month (1 really simple, 1 medium, 1 tricky competition entry)

Michael has been a complete little sh!t. Tried story time at the library today (18month - 2.5yrs so age appropriate) We went in one door (front door) chucked a tanty and went round the counter and straight out the Exit door. The little bugger had spotted the playground.

Sorry no personals, gotta make shepherds pie and pack to go Mum's for the weekend!

Thanks for your Birthday wishes for little Phoebe- cant believe it was a year ago today- the time has just flown- you seem to get less time the more kids you have- I just feel like I have not captured enough IYKWIM- but dont know what more I could have captured either????

Has been a rather busy few weeks- not sure how much longer I will be doing this job- will hopefully find out today or Monday if the lady I am relieving for will be back or need surgery and therefore be off for a longer period of time.

No personals, just having a quick break before I get into more bday party preparation- stay tuned on f/b for party photos!

Hope the day goes well 3divas and look forward to the pics

Have tested a few times and think this month was a bust. bfn so far and should have shown up by now if was.
Ah well, 22nd for the FS and hope he can tell me from the bloods tests I had done beginning and mid cycle show I ovulated. That will mean I still have a chance, if not...

back tonight for personals

Happy Birthday Phoebe!!

Sammy - You sound like you will be busy over the next days/weeks. Hope Michael calms down a bit for you too.
Strawberry - Hope you had a great kid free day!
Tabby - I'm still :fingerscrossed: everything for you.

Us - Well Dh's recovery is going quite slow. He has decided to take an extra week off work which will be nice. He still cant drive so there really is no point in going back to work. The surgeon is still happy with his progress & says his eye sight will be blurry until he gets the stitches out in 12 months, so a bit of a wait. Sierra isnt too well at the moment. She felt a little warm this morning but i didnt think too much of it until this arvo when her temp went upto 40, so just gave her panadol & keeping an eye on her. She doesnt have a much of a runny nose or anything so not sure what wrong. Probably will have a full on cold in the morning

Wow we have been quiet in here this weekend.

I will be busy again this week- looks like I will be working full time til Easter holidays- so next 4 weeks as the lady I am relieving for need to have surgery. Oh well- lots of extra money will help get us out of a bit of debt- not that we are in huge debt at all- but I spent a bit on the CC over the xmas holidays so I can get it paid off now- at the expense of missing out time with my babies- oh well- only 4 weeks- I hope:fingerscrossed:

Tiredmummy- hope your dh is getting better after his surgery.

Tabby- Aaarrrgghhh cold shower- poor bugger.

See yas during the week:wave:

Hope the 4 weeks are relatively easy on you

 hope everyone is well.

We had a fantastic time in Kalbarri. The camper trailer went well, although it would have been nice in an airconditioned unit as it was hot....above 38 for the first 9 days. Kids did lots of swimming. We visited the gorges, with both kids doing really well on the walks to and from the viewing spots. Will try and get some photo's posted soon.

Strawberry...:yelclap: well done on the TT. TJ still isn't gettgin the messages. I can keep her dry if I put her on the potty regularly, but if I'm busy or forget, we have accidents.
3Divas...good luck for the next couple of weeks and the full-time work.
Tabby...good to hear the hot water was fixed. Nothing like a cold shower first thing in the morning:D.
Tired...:yelclap:well done on surviving this far with DH. We'd be divorced by now for sure.

have a great day!

2snuff: Glad the hol's went well beside the heat
sounds like a great time, cant wait to see pics!

congrats again for Talon's fully TT!
TT here slowly but surely. plenty of wees on potty and no2s on the "big girls toilet" she prefers the adults for no2s ..no idea why lol
I recon my boys were easier. with pee anyhow, so much easier to just pop it out lol
They were pretty much tt by now too.

back to the FS friday for results. hoping for good news as in blood test show I ovulated and FSH not too high to at least give it a go.
ive been testing but all neg so dont think we did it yet. ah well, bring on next round!

out most the weekend with ils and up there for a stay..was nice and relaxing..though the sil was there and so hard not to give her a serve! She "forgot" babies bottle (again ) on saturday when all out in 37 dg heat! and no access to anywhere for mil to buy one so he was given water via a held up straw (mil's idea luckily )..Womans a bloody idiot and wish the il's would say something, its not the 1st time. I know some are clueless and not all naturals at it but sheesh the bub is 12 months old now..surely it would have sunk in by now?

tabby ... yeah on the tt-ing. We're still working on it here - lots of potty sitting, but nothing else yet :) All the best for the FS appt.

2s'nuff ... apart from the heat that sounds like a lovely time away. looking forward to photos.

3divas ... who looks after your kids? I'm amazed at how you are able to suddenly work full time without seemingly much disruption to your life.

sammy ... I have no idea how you find time for cake decorating, but I can't wait to see your next creations!

shazza ... all the best for the trip to perth!

us ... Josh got his first bandaid today. My Grandpa's parrot bit his finger thinking it was his ball (which Josh was holding). Not a big bite (I can barely see it), but apparently plenty of tears and a little bit of blood. When he came home he walked straight in the door up to me and gave me his hand and said 'bandaid mummy'. So cute!

I'm finding it hard to be working full time. Josh is SO over the moon when he's home and especially if I'm around. When he's at home, he does big sighs and says 'happy home'. When he's at home with me or sees me in the morning its 'mummy's here, mummy home' over and over again. I am very happy that he clearly has a strong bond with me, but I'd prefer not to be a novelty. But, I suppose everyone is a bit of a novelty to him right now, including my dh and my mum (who has him for 4 days a week). I wish I didn't have to work full time, but I do, for now.

2s’nuff – Welcome back. Lovely to hear you all had a great time at Kalbarri (besides the heat)

Tabby – Good luck at the FS appointment.

3Divas – Hope the nect couple of weeks runs smoothly for you.

Mim – Does J like wearing bandaids? T1 won’t even let me go near him with a bandaid

Us – Thanks for all the kind words regarding TT. I still can’t believe he’s fully tt. T2 has been a real little so and so today. T1 was happily playing with a big box and of cause T1 wouldn’t let her in so she bit him. Left a nice bite mark on his arm. Don’t know where she got that from. T1 has never bitten anyone. Spent some quality time with my grandfather on Saturday as the drs haven’t given him much time. Anyway better go and stack the dishwasher and get ready for bed as T1 has been getting up at 5.30 for the last 3 days:hissy:

Tabby...I'm with you on giving the SIL a serve. How could she forget something so basic?
Mim...:hugs: working full time is hard. I'm battling a little at the moment with it as I don't seem to get anything done at home. With the economy the way it is I'm too scared to ask for 4 days a week incase DH loses his job and we have to rely on my income.
Strawberry...T2 is probably juts using biting to assert herself a little. Both my girls went through this.

Us...another unsettled night for TJ. She hasn't adjusted well to being back home. She keeps sayign 'go home'. I'm trying to get her to understand we are home again. This morning when we got in the car to go to daycare she said: 'go home, yah'. I had to explain we'd just left Daddy at home. That and gettign up in the pitch black to get ready for work, and my week hasn't started well.

Have a great day,
Lisa

Hi guys just a quicky while I wait to see if the casau lphone rings- I really hope it doesnt as I dont think I have any casuals left to employ if somone happens to be sick:hair:

So busy- life is a whirlwind atm- I feel like I ahrdley see the kids- home at 6.45 on Monday night and 5.40pm yesterday , and up at the crack of dawn evry morning- I am finding it all quite tiring- but only ti the end of term- 3 1/2 weeks away- well that is if the lady I am relieving for is all better:fingerscrossed: she is.

Mum is a legend, she is helping out with the kids when she can and if she cant then dh's parents are helping- so thats great.

Bridget has been successfully doing wees on the toilet for mum and dh when they have looked after her- its like finally a light switch has flicked and she knows what she has to do.

Better go get dressed- big day ahead!

Us....found beasties in DD1's hair this morning:hair::banghead:. She would have been back at daycare and school less than two days before getting them. So she's at home with DH today. Put a treatment in her hair before I left. DH was a bit put out as he may have had a game of golf today. Pffft to him, I say. Build a bridge and play golf another day.
TJ slept 'til 5am :smiliedance::smiliedance:.

Mim: Poor Josh with the bite but very cute with his showing you. Katie is okay with bandaids too
Im only part time and also getting the mummy home attention. Soon as I walk in the door she wont let me out of her sight! By eve tho shes a bit less clingy.

3divas: yay to Bridgets TT. Hope your week went well. Hang in there, Friday tomorrow!

strawberry: uhoh the biting. Hopefully she doesnt keep doing it and its short lived. Katie tried it about 3 times, i was very stern with her about it and we "ignored" her for a few mins, she didnt like that one bit lol so soon got over it

2snuff: wow, cant believe how often dd1 gets them. Is this something I have to look forward to? Never had any with ds1 or 2 ever...

Katie has slept through for the last week! :yelclap:
Didnt want to jinx it before now but safe to say we are finally back to sleep throughs
she yells out once but then goes back sleep.
Im feeling 20 years younger!!! hahha
seriously tho, I feel great and sure hope it keeps going..until the next one anyhow hehe
Off to the FS tomorrow! Feeling very good about it as AF has shown and shes full on.
I ordered Lite and easy and it arrives today so my diet will start tomorrow. Losing some to help ttc AND so when/if it happens its easier on me and hopefully no SPD or at best less spd

Heya,

Wow - all you working mums. i dont know how you keep up with it all. it makes me tired just reading about your lives!! I am tired enough with my own little world at the end of the day. yikes

kalbarri sounds fantastic - hot! what was the drive like with the girls? it's 7 hours isn't it? congrats on the good sleeps

sores - caitlin's obsessed with them at the moment. she seems to invent them hehe.... and she says OH NO SORE whenever she spots a mole on my arm or anything. cute.

TT - she's gone off the potty but asks to sit on the toilet ocassionally. I don't think she'll be ready for a while yet.

nothing much else - have been doing 123 magic with caitlin for the last few weeks and is workign wonders. she does what i tell her now and we're both so much happier and able to enjoy our days together. I'm not hanging for DH to walk thru the door each night. Sometiems we're having too much fun to even notice!!! teehee

both kids went really well with the trip to and from kalbarri. It's 6 hours driving, but we stop usually for an hour half way. TJ is a car sick kid. :barf:just into the Kalbarri turnoff on the way there and just past Badgingarra on the way home. When we go down to Donnybrook for Easter, she'll be getting some Phenergon to try and ward off the car-sickness.
LOL at the sore's TJ is obsessed with them at the moment too. She's got a mozzy bite on her leg that is ok until she spots it, then the dramas on again.
What's 123Magic?

TAbby- goodluck tomorrow, hope it all goes well.

2snuff- oh no- not the beasties!!!! It is just a nuisance isnt it- glad your trip went well with the 2 girls- I am a car sick person too- if I am not driving I am yuk- DH said there is some rubber thing you can put on the back of your car wjhich eliminates the static and therefore travel sickness- need to investigate further:detective:

Cordelia- 123 magic?? what is it??

Strawberry- my dd1 was a biter- was so hard to deal with- she was always biting someone. We were in a shop one day and she bit a little girl in there that we did not know and then that very afternoon I was at a friends place and the little girl and her mum turned up there- i nearly died of embaressment!

Bridgets TT is going so well- she is weeing on the toilet and doing very well with it- not that I can take credit- mum and dh have really focussed on it this week while I have been at work.

Good news though- the lady i have been relieving for is feeling better and will be back sooner than thought- so will be back next wed. I am happy and relieved but a little bummed as I was looking forward to the extra cash.

Better scoot- talk later

driving - ahhh poor tj... lots of fun driving. caitlin was amazing when we went to esperance surprisingly. we're off to denmark at easter but hoping to leave really early and get some sleep out of her (yeah right!)

123 magic is a discipline method. It's pretty expensive to do the course and get the dvds but fortunately someone copied them for me!!! It's very very basic but I guess its nice to have a methodology - gives you confidence. I'll send the dvds for anyone who is interested!!! Just PM me your address

Well Bridget goes to dh's parents today and I wonder if they will keep with it- some how I doubt it- I will probably get the "shes too young, dont know why your bothering" speil- They can get stuffed- this is why they dont have the kids often cause they are neagtive about everything- hope they continue though- she has done well all week.

Tabby...have you asked your mum to continue the TT while they are looking after her?

 Tabby, I'm still here, just very busy & very tired. Made David's 35 Baptism invites on Sun night. Finished and delivered a small 2tier wedding cake on Wed, Drs for DS3's 4month shots yesterday followed by clean-up duty @ DS1's kindy. Still have a Baptism cake & Competition cake due next weekend.

Amongst all that we are living in a construction zone with loads being done to our complex through insurance - cleaning down , emptying garden beds for proper water proofing, re-rendering, painting etc. Very noisy and messy! The front entry door is stuffed and my key won't work - that was no big deal till my garage remote carked it too so now I'm freaking about being locked out. I climbed over our courtyard wall to get in before (I left the door unlocked thank goodness)

Sorry for the selfish me post, I do read along but have little energy to spare to compose posts myself and baby brain means I get everything confused LOL. I'll be more human again in a week or so!

PS Michael has been lovely lately but then again I haven't been pushing him to do anything I know he doesn't want to do!

:wave:Just wanted to say I'm still here reading along too - by the time I get caught up though posting a reply seems too much effort. Feeling a bit better now, not so tired and nausea mostly gone - just have the food aversions to get over now! First Ob appointment is next week which will be 10 weeks - main thing I want is confirmation it's not twins. No reason at all to think it is except the crazy thought of "it's a boy & a girl" keeps popping into my head!

Cat good luck for your first scan.

Sammy- I think Bridgets moods are getting better too- but like you with Michael- just letting her be atm- and been too busy to pay much attention aswell.

2snuff- we were the same with dd1 tt - she just got it so easily- has been a more involved process with bridget.

We have had a successful trip down town today with Bridget in Knickers- she told us when she had to go and she held til we got to the toilet. Just stopped at the park on the way home and she went once and then 5 mins later had to go again and did not make it to the toilet- so small accident- we changed her pants then 5 minutes later she had to go again- but made it to the toilet that time- so she is going really well!!:yelclap:

Not much happening here. T1 is doing really well with the toilet. He even wakes me up at night if he needs to go. HI everyone
Havent posted in a while but have been reading all other posts.

Strawberry - Yay for T1 TT & for getting T2 into her big girls bed.
Sammy - You deserve some time off... glad you had a good time
Tabby - Great news from the FS... :fingerscrossed: you get that BFP real soon.
2s'nuf - Hope you are feeling better & the cough doesnt turn into anything else
3Divas - :yelclap: for the successful trip with just knickers. I think thats the worst part about TT is taking them out in just knickers. It took me ages to get the courage to do that with DD1 & 2.

Us - DH went back to work today... it was nice having him home but it will be nice to get back into a normal routine & not have reschedule things to add the things he wants to do
Sierra did her first wee on the potty last night :smiliedance:. Very happy about that. We have tried today but so far she hasnt done anything. She wore a nappy to the school this morning & wet it but since then has done nothing so i keep asking her if she wants/needs to go but she just says 'no, dont wanooo' lol. I know it will take time so i'm not stressing about it. All i can do is try.

My SIL has just told us that her & her bf are getting married on Mothers day (7 weeks from yesterday) and wants me to organise all the music so i have been busy downloading & looking thru songs lists etc. I'm trying to think of a good wedding present too... they have been living together for 5 years so they pretty much have everything. I want something a bit different & extra special. Something thats not the usual type wedding present. Any suggestions?

hi everyone,

nits - maybe yoru girls could permanently wear showercaps... i taught a girl who's parents kept her head shaved to avoid them. poor kid!! hope TJ is feeling ok with her head... caitlin was really irritable for the next week so i think she must have been slightly concussed. she's heappy as larry now.

Cat - twins!!! Can you imagine? good luck with your first ob appointment :) aer you going with the same one?

3divas - TT sounds fantastic. well done :) same with you strawberry!

tired mummy - ahh wedding presents are hard when they've been together for so long! vouchers are always good. especially specific ones .... red balloon is always good :P or movie club, subscriptions to things. a hideously awful vase that they have to keep for the rest of their lives and remember you by :P hehe - we have 9 of those. A nice photo of them done on canvas.

PS - us: daniel is having his 3 month growth spurt so getting pretty tired with a couple of night wakings at the moment. just when you think he's going to sleep thru forever!!! (yeah right). went to a 12 hour scrap on saturday so it was nice to get out of the house. feeling a lot more refreshed now but having one of those days where i cant wait for DH to walk thru the door. less than an hour to go hehe

Very quiet around here today- hope all is well.

I just handed back all the stuff to the lady I was relieving for- so I am now off the hook- back to normality for me YIPPEE!!!!!

Bridget is going great guns with the TT- I thought she would take for ever as I have tried on and off for a while- but it just clicked with her and she has been really good- A packet of nappies is lasting sooo much longer now I only have Phoebe to worry about during the day.

Better get to bed- pretty tired, oh and Bridget just got up:devil6:

24-03-2009, 09:13 PM
Hi all,

3divas ... glad life is back to normal (whatever that is :) ) for you with work now. Cutting back on nappies sounds great - we're a long way off that!

cordelia ... 3 months already? that's quick!

tiredmummy ... i'll think about original wedding gifts. For a friend recently I offered to put together a wedding scrapbook (digital, but I'll get it printed in a bound book). Trouble is, I wasn't invited to the wedding (it was a tiny, family only affair) and there aren't a huge number of photos ... so I don't recommend that idea.

us ... Josh didn't sleep this afternoon - first time. He bounced in his cot all afternoon instead. Oh, and threw the toys and blankets on the floor and got out of his sleeping bag! Talk about hyperactive! He's usually not like that at all. I'm really hoping it's a once off, as his afternoon nap is my one moment of sanity (aka having a rest myself!). He went to sleep quite readily this evening though.

I was off work yesterday with this bloody cough I've got. DH has slept in the lounge room for the past few nights as I'm keeping him awake. After getting soaked at golf on Monday, he's come down with a cold, and of course the world is ending.....

3Divas...:smiliedance:for being back to a normal work schedule
Mim...Hope J has a sleep for you today. I remember those first few months of being pg with TJ. I'd put a DVD on for DD1 and lay down on the couch for a sleep.

He's fine, just sleepy tonight (went to bed easily tonight). Thanks for the Birthday wishes girls. Just another day really. DH flew out this morning, so the alarm went of nicely at 3.30am. TJ then woke at 3.45, Dh left at 4 and TJ woke another couple of times before getting out of bed at 5.45. DH did earn himself some points, found a pandora bead (wrapped) sitting on the bench when I got up.

Mim...hope J sleeps for you on the weekend. Good luck getting through a 14 hour shift.
Strawberry...good lcuk with the interview tomorrow
Tabby...:yelclap:for the sleep throughs.

Cordelia: yay for the shopping trip, well done! I shudder at the thought of one for shopping lately lol MIL has been great and taking her round in the pram while I shop in peace, then we head to car together and I go home then she does hers, made a huge difference.

2snuff: Hope you enjoyed your day love despite the early wake/s

mim: hope Josh settles nicely for you after that coming 14hr shift! Thats huge.

3divas: Things settled down nicely now?

happybirthday Lisa- hope you had a great day- did you get my virtual bday cake on f/b ha ha ha.
Gotta love Pndoras- I am a total addict- got a lovelinks too and getting dd1 one for easter- she does not eat alot of chocolate (lucky her) so she asked if she could have a bracelet instead.

Cordelia- very brave on the train- what sort of pram do you have for the 2 kids?? Thats always my fear getting in and out with prams on my own.

Strawberry- goodluck for the job interview tomorrow.

:fingerscrossed: Tabby- hope the bfp comes to you this month

Mim- goodluck with that 14 hour shift- hope you can come home and get some rest afterwards.

I have tomorrow off- YIPPEE!! I had a sh!t day today- bit of an issue with the head teacher of my faculty- not the one I was relieving for- different one- he is such an a$$. Anyways he flew off the handle over something- I was in the firing line and I could not get a word in edgewise to defend myself or my fellow colleagues- this was over the phone- so I hung up on him. I dont need to put up with that sort of aggression.

Apart from that all is good- Bridget is still doing well with wee wees on the potty- just having issues with the Number two's= sometimes she gets there- sometimes she dont- but the wees are really good!

Thanks for the Birthday wishes here and on FB.
For those of you not on FB last night, TJ threw up over me twice last night before 7. Luckily thatwas the end of it. They had a party for afternoon tea at daycare and I think she had too much party food.

3Divas...enjoy your day off today!
Tabby...:fingerscrossed:
Cordelia...:yelclap:on the trian trip. what did you do when you got into Perth? I always get stuck with what to do in the city with 2 little ones. TJ wouldn't be happy in the pram all day and DD1 can only walk so far before she gets too tired.

We're off to the zoo tomorrow and having a party at our house Sunday for my nieces birthday.

Have a great day,
Lisa

2snuff- sorry to hear you were vomitted on for your bday- poor TJ too- have fun at the zoo today.

Been rather quiet here lately- guess we are all busy.

I got woken up to a mega head butt by Bridget this morning- and damn it hurt. I will be surprised if it doesnt bruise.

Had a nice day off yesterday- was good to be at home with my kids and not have to worry about other people other than my immediates for a change.

Just popping in for a quick hello. DH is back from his 2 months away and my brother and his girlfriend are staying with us for a visit - nice to have lots of other people to play with Cameron and help out with dinner!

Met my Ob on Wednesday and the ultrasound showed definitely just one bub - phew! Not the same Ob as for Cameron since we have moved state since then so wil be a new hospital too but at least I'm familiar with it from when Cameron had his operations.

Hope everyone has a great weekend,

:)

Good ol Dora- hope you had a great day out Tabby.

Cat- how exciting meeting your OB- how are you feeling? How long is Dh home before he is off again?

Bridget has not done so well today with the TT- She wet her pants in the car when we were out- so bought her some tights in town- but no undies- then we were over at dh's parents place and she did No 2's in the tights- with no undies to support it so the poo went all down the legs- it was just gross- needless to say- the new tights went into the bin- they were only $7 so was not keen to save them and scrub them up.

Thanks 3divas, had a great day, VERY crowded and very rude pushy people but nice day all the same. Katie was happy to see Dora, well what we could see of her lol

Hope Bridget can get back into the tt routine, bound to have a few oopsies here and there

daylight saving gone so back to normal here,
was worried Katie sleeping but she went at 830 our time just fine and asleep by 9 so not bad
Oh she did sleep till 11am today!!! No idea why the long sleepins but no way complaining lol

3Divas...:barf:gotta love the poo accidents. I would have binned the tights too:p.
Tabby...:yelclap:for 2 weeks holiday.
Cat...:smiliedance:for DH being home and only finding one bub in the scan.
Shazza...hope you've enjoyed your stay in Perth, only 1 day to go.

Us...a very busy weekend. Had mum stay Friday, Sat and last night. Went to gymnastics Sat morning, then rushed to the zoo to meet everyone else. TJ went in with my mum and had a very close encounter (through the glass) with a lion. Evidently scared the sh!t out of her.
Had some party food for the kids yesterday morning, then cooked for work all afternoon.
Am already losing sleep with the DLS changing again. I think it will be at least a week before the kids settle back into the normal time zone.

Have a great day,
Lisa

Tabby...keeping everything crossed for you.

A better start to the day today, TJ woke at 5, then 5.20 but setteled back to sleep until 6. My only problem with her at the moment is getting her to sleep. She just isn't tired at night. Last night she finally fell asleep at 7.30 after lots of in and out of bed.

Have a great day!

Tabby and 2snuff- DLS hey- we dont start til this w/e- hope it helps me get these kids into a better bed routine and to bed so much earlier- think I will feed them by 5:30- then bath and bed by 6:30... 7 at the very latest- well hoping thats my plan! I have been considering having dinner later on with dh after the kids have been fed- dinner time is a night mare- always so full on and noisey!

hi everyone,

we've had a pretty horrible few days with caitlin having temp and vomitting arggghh!! thankfully, she seems to be better today.

DLS (#*$&(@#*$&#@($*&#$(*& (that's all i have to say on the matter)

sleep - as you know we've had a terrible time getting caitlin to sleep every night. i think we solved it with a sleeping bag (it's a snugtime all in one style so she can walk) and cutting out some crappy food from her diet. last 3-4 nights it's been straight to sleep with no fuss - woohoo!!

also on routine -we're doing a few different things to make life easier. around 5 the kids are nuts and DH gets home and wants to check his email so i've devised a new plan: i get dinner ready in the afternoon and we go for a walk at 5pm (after bold and the beautiful hehe); eat dinner when we get home (DH is home by then) and then bath and into pjs. and then we spend some time together as a family doing something before stories and bed. and then DH and I cant sit down and relax til the house is tidy, the washing is folded and the kitchen is clean. we've been doing this for 5 weeks so far and are SOOOO much happier. (i find i can't relax after the kids are in bed until everything's done now)

strawberry - happy wedding anniversary.. mmm mini quiches.

2snuff - i'm having deja vu writing this (i'm sure i replied to your questino) but in town we just went to buy a present for someone, looked at the pandora store (hehe) and then went and had lunch at the myer restaurant where it's really big and quiet. then we got the train home - so we were only out for around 2 hours but we were all happy :)

3divas - we have a mother's own duo buggy stroller. It's awesome.. i seriously dont know what i would do without it (this coming from someone who vowed not to get a double pram). it folds up small (altho pretty long) like a stroller and caitlin loves sitting at the front looking around, and daniel is behind with a reclining chair (or just started making it more upright so he can see around). i've started walking to the shops and to playgroup (and then of course our 5pm walk hehehe) so it's BRILLIANT...

i wish i was seeing results on the scales tho #@$*&@#*$^@#$*&^

Sorry for all my bad language this post hehe

Strawberry- happy bday to your dh and wedding anniversay to the 2 of you- how did the Job interview go on Friday?
QUOTE]

Didn’t take the job. DH and I sat down and did some realistic thinking. The job was about 40mins from home. Travelling along the Ipswich m’way would make that anywhere up to 2 hours each way. I need to make sure I can pick up my kiddies from day care before closing time. Hubby will be away from time to time so I can’t rely on him to pick them up. I’ll just have to find something closer to home.

Cordelia...:yelclap:for your afternoon routine. I'm glad you've found something that works. I'm the same with not being able to relax at night until everything is done.
Strawberry...you'll find a job that's exactly what you want. Travelling a huge distance/time doesn't make sense at all and just makes for very long days.

Any hints for getting TJ to prompt me when she needs a wee? I think she's just lazy as she's holding her bladder well. And as a result we've had some overflowing nappies lately. For those using pull-ups, do they hold much wee? I really only used them for DD1 when she was pretty much trained. I'm wondering if TJ needs to feel wet and the new pull-ups are supposed to do that.

Have a great day,
Lisa

Tabby

2snuff: The pullups seem to hold even more imo
I also use the night time nappy at night, designed for 4-7 yr olds as they hold heaps and can catch that morning flood well!
I changed over to them as they are or seem to be way more comfortable with no cutting into the top of leg.
No tips sorry, am going to up the ante on TT on my two weeks off, hopefully will get it easy. she sits on the potty when she can be bothered trying..Not enough though

strawberry: Much better when close to home hun, mines about 7 mins from home and is what I love most about it. hopefully you get something closer soon xxx

2s'nuff - Sorry no suggestion here either hun. I just keep asking T1 if he needs to go to the toilet. He’ll say yep or no . Then I say to T1 “you tell mummy when you need to use the potty”. Most of the time now he’ll tell me when he needs to go. I used pull ups for a couple of months before T1 was fully tt. I like them and they aren’t that bulky like nappies are.

T1 has been saying “Tartie” for about a month now and I didn’t know what it meant. Well I now know what it means Tartie = Tarni. T1 and T2 were in the garage riding their bikes and T1 didn’t like T2 going near the driveway so he saying NO Tartie  and was holding her bike so she wouldn’t go near the driveway. It was very cute. Goes to show he’s very protective over his little sister.

Have groceries to put away before I put the kiddies down for a nap.
