I need advise on bath time. DD has always loved bath time. Not overly excited but plays with her toys while I wash her. This week. OMG! screaming... will not sit down. So I am bathing her standing up and she is very clingy its hard to washa baby standing up and clinging to you. She is 13 months. PS no nappy rash.

My kids both went through this too :banghead:

I don't know why but they did grow out of it.

Try getting in the bath with her, or even into the shower instead.

Aden went through it as well. Very frustrating, even tryed bathing him a small pool out in the lounge room with his favourite DVD on. In the end I try each day to extend the baths. We brought some new toys, and it was the fish (squirt water) that got him happy again.

He was also one who hated the shower, its only been the last few months that he has started having them, but he still doesnt stand under the water! Best of luck with all. Hope some of this has helped :)

Try adding a few drops of food colouring to the water.

Wyatt went through the same phase too and still every now and again he plays up. A new toy usually fixes the issue or just persistance as it only seems to last a week max then forgets about. He normally plays up when tired, so we have a quick bath and then quiet time in the lounge room till bed time.

Coloured bath paints/soaps worked for us. DD1 got terrified of the drain for some reason (and nope, no accidents, bad experieinces). I had showers with her, which she still hated, and even had to top and tail her a few times as she just wouldn't go in. The bath paints were the best...took her mind straight off the drain, though i still had to get her out before pulling the plug.

Now she's fine again, and will even pull the plug herself, and watch the water go down. I said to her....'listen to that noisy bath drinking all the water...he's burping really loud isn't he?' to explain the noise to her. Now she thinks its fun!

I think its hjust phases they go through, like everything else. Keep persevering with distractions etc, and i'm sure she'll grow out of it.

Matthew is terrified of the drain too, he will get in the bath okay, I just have to pull the plug out when he is down the other end of the house.

Winter? You know when you are really cold then get in a lovely warm bath but the water feels boiling (even though it's not!)...almost painful because your body is so cold...the shock? Maybe it's that.

Matthew despises showers, he absolutely hates water running over his head. Makes it almost impossible to wash his hair.
