I'm 17 weeks pregnant and just got bitten by a wasp on my butt!:crying: Apart from horrible pain, are there any concerns for baby? Do I need anything apart from a cold compress?

Wish I'd seen this yesterday, cause by now you're prolly not in pain anymore anyway :-)

I got stung by a wasp twice on my arm a few weeks ago and apparently the only time you need to worry is if there are more than 8 - 10 stings, or if you notice any alarming swelling or shortness of breath etc.

Aside fromthat I found an ice pack left on for about 30 mins helped with the pain a lot.

They might leave little blisters behind where the sting was, don't pick at it to pop it, let it sort itself out, or you can introduce infection.

I know your message is old now, but I saw it and smiled and laughed a little. This is the first time in over a week I have laughed. I needed this, thank you! (I am going through a miscarriage right now so everything is gloomy :gloomy:)
