:wave: erin welcome to the surrogacy section my suggestion is speak with someone who has already been a surrogate to let you know what is involved. There is a lovely lady on here who helped me out when i had some questions. I know i will get her name wrong lol (Im sorry) but i think it Bfkle i will come back and put the correct name. She has been a surrogate and let me know if i had any questions i could just ask her.

As someone on the other end who is actually looking for a surro I can say that there can not be enough of you ladies around so I hope you find all the information you need and decide to help some deserving couple or individual. I am actually in discussions with a potential Surro also from Perth, a small world.

Hi Shybo,

Looking for a surro is generally something people who cannot have children at all do. There are really not that many ladies in the world that offer their assistance in this way. From reading your post it sounds like you are able to have your own children. I would speak to your Dr and try to work it out where you actually carry your own child if you are at all possible. There are many ladies out there who for many and varied reasons like myself who simply can not either fall preg or carry their own child in any way shape or form and finding a surro for these people is the only way. If any of us could fall preg trust me we woud without assistance. Like I stated earler it does sound like you can actually carry your own children, and your main problem is the post natal depression afterwoods, I am sure assitance can be sort for this. Sorry if I sound a bit harsh but when you either do not have the bits to carry a child or even if you do have the correct bits but they simply do not work and never have that is when you need a surro. Yolu have 1 child, that is something that many females on this section will never experience, I would hold onto that experience and thank your lucky stars that you were that lucky.

As far as finding a surro if you do continue down this path, I would firstly speak to friends and family for assistance.
