TTC 4 weeks late all tests Negitive

Came off the pill 1st Jan, am now 4 weeks late have done 4 HPT all:bfn: I read (after no sign of AF) that this can happen was devisated we had waited sooo long to start TTC and now dont know when we can. But had nausia and that matalic taste (which may still be there I think ive just gotten used to it) and wonder could I be or am I just hoping beond hope because I feel so helpless? Why is this happening? if AF just came atleast I would know where I stand, had BT before TTC all perfect and used to come off the pill once a year and my cycle would come back on line right away though stopped doing that when I met Hubby 6y ago because we dident want TC then, Jokes on me now I guess. Lossing my mind:(

Sometimes HPT dont show up :bfp: until 6+ weeks pregnant. Have you been to your GP for a blood test?

My GP just closed her practice for personal reasons, but am seeing a new one tomorrow.

Hi...this probably wont make you feel better but might let you know you are not alone! When I went off the pill I had a 71 day cycle:eek: I kept testing and getting blood tests and all came back negative, despite having pregnancy symptoms!

My GP said that sometimes people have "symptoms" when they come off the pill, just from the change in hormones etc.

I know how frustrating it is waiting for either a BFP or AF to arrive!

Hi, this actually happened to me when I started ttc my son. I had been off the pill for about 6 months and had a very 'regular' 33 day cycle, always the same each month. 1st cycle of ttc AF didn't come when it was supposed to, I did a few tests but they were negative, when AF was officially 2 weeks let I had a blood test and it was negative. I finally got AF when it was about 4weeks lat, pretty much to the day when I should have should gotten the next AF if I hadn't missed it. So I completely skipped a month. There didn't seem to be any reason for it, perhaps my body was just a little excited and anxious about finally starting to ttc. I then actually fell pregnant on our next cycle! What's funny is that the exact same thing had happened to my best friend just a few months earlier when she'd started ttc as well. Some times the body just plays weird tricks on you.
But if I were you I'd wait a few days, maybe even a week and test again. Every one is different and their hormone levels can sometimes be different so if you were to be pregnant it's possible that the tests just haven't picked up the hormone level yet. Hang in there, I know it's frustrating!

Thank you, I have been feeling very betrayed by my body over the last 4 weeks. Hubby has such strong conviction that it will happen because he knows how much I want our baby sweet that it is it hasent helped much, Knowing its not just me dose give me hope.
I'll see what the GP says tomorrow.

its completely normal for AF not to have returned yet... u've only just stopped taking the pill

I also had heaps of preggy symptoms after stopping the pill (it makes ur hormones go crazy!) and in all honesty the symptoms were even worse then than the ones i have now that i am UTD. TTC takes time, AF will return eventually

I saw the GP and got a BT will get results Mon GP gave me pregnancy vitamins to start taking but trying not to get my hopes up after all those BFN's. If it is BFN again will start Vitex.
